Four of them are actually in the Islamic State now. Will they be allowed back into Belgium? If so, they’d be arrested, imprisoned for some period of time shorter than five years, and then released ready and able to carry out jihad attacks in Belgium and/or elsewhere in Europe. Wouldn’t it be wiser not to allow them back in? And the ones still in Belgium, what might they find to do to fill up the long, warm days?
“Seven women convicted on terrorism charges in Belgium,” KUNA, May 18, 2015:
BRUSSELS, May 18 (KUNA) — A court in the Belgian city of Antwerp Monday convicted seven women for joining the Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant (ISIL).
Four of those convicted are currently in Syria. They have been sentenced to five years in jail and a 15,000 euro fine. A warrant has been issued for their immediate arrest, according to Belgian media reports.
The three other women convicted are all still in Belgium. They have been given suspended prison sentences of up to 30 months and also given suspended fines. (end)
