30,000: that’s an awful lot of Muslims who fell for this Nothing-To-Do-With-Islam form of Islam. How to explain so many misunderstanders? After all, none of them existed in a vacuum before they joined the Islamic State. They learned their Islam somewhere. Are we to believe that the slickness of the Islamic State’s video presentations alone was enough to induce this throng to throw over the true, peaceful Islam it learned down at the corner mosque and join up with the hijackers of their religion? We live in an age of infantile analysis.
“ISIS has 30,000 foreign fighters from more than 100 countries,” by Abdelhak Mamoun, Iraqi News, May 29, 2015:
(IraqiNews.com) According to a report to the UN Security Council, nearly 30 thousand foreign fighters were recruited currently in the ISIS ranks. They came from 100 countries around the world including countries that had been untouched by the activity of terrorist groups such as Chile and Finland.
The members of the Security Council will meet on Friday to discuss a report on “foreign terrorist fighters” and consider possible measures to combat this threat.
This is the first report of its kind in the United Nations, which addresses the issue of “foreign fighters”, and includes countries such as Afghanistan, Syria and Iraq, in addition to North African countries such as Libya.
The report indicated that the number of recruits in ISIS ranks has increased by about 70% during the past nine months.
This sudden rise poses concern about the spread of extremism phenomenon globally, and breadth of its geographical scope to include several countries experiencing the stability, including European countries.
The report indicates that the flow rate of foreign fighters into Iraq and Syria is currently higher than ever before, with the emergence of signs of an accelerating growth of ISIS organization in Libya.
US officials said earlier this year that 3,400 people from Western countries, including 150 from the United States have traveled to Iraq and Syria to join militant groups.
British officials have estimated that more than 700 British have traveled to Syria during the past three years, nearly half of them returned to their country.
The report describes Iraq, Syria and Libya as “real finishing school” for terrorists, pointing out that Tunisia, Morocco, France and Russia, in particular, may contribute in terrorist attacks in the future due to the number of fighters from these countries.

Only 30,000 misunderstanders? Admittedly more violent, but the number pales in comparison to the millions who voted twice for the White House Occupier (WHO). The WHO is a serial psychopathic liar, an economic moron, an islamic jihadi enabler, a Constitutional traitor, a class warfare, a race baiter, ignorant of history, incompetent to lead, a useful idiot and a dangerous one.

Obama is as ignorant as the voters who chose him. A Harvard lawyer this ignorant could only have been passed through a conspiracy of promoting ‘diversity’. I don’t believe he mastered the principles of constitutional law…particularly the primacy of the First Amendment as the foundation of American philosophy.
Shane says
Obama is not ignorant or stupid. He is a very intelligent man who desires to weaken America morally, economically, and militarily, and that is just what he has done. Our national debt is over $18 trillion and growing, which the next president will have to deal with, our economy is growing slowly, and our morals have never been lower.
Stardusty Psyche says
Hi, qedlin, and the others who echoed your comments,
“(Obama is) an economic moron, an islamic jihadi enabler”
Since Jan 2009
Federal deficits cut in half (Bush handed him –trillion per year).
Trade deficit slashed.
Energy independence nearing (best energy policy of any president ever).
Recovery from Wall Street meltdown (Bush handed him bailout).
Jobs are up.
More people can see a doctor (yes, I know, that is truly evil).
Markets are up.
Federal spending flat (soared yearly under Bush)
Ok my friends, please tell me again what an “economic moron” Obama is.
Obama has killed more Muslims than anybody I know of (other than IS and other jihadis). He has fought 2 ground wars (Afghanistan and Iraq), and he has used the Army, Navy, Air Force, and Marines to attack jihadies with infantry, bombs, rockets, aircraft machine guns, cannon, drones, arrests, and detentions…with the aid of the FBI, NSA, and DHS…all under his direct command as commander in chief…since the day he took office until this very moment.
Obama pulled the trigger on Osama Bin Laden, and thousands more. He has aggressively targeted their leaders and he has been blasting IS with Special Forces, bombs, gunships, and drone attacks.
How exactly does this all add up to “jihadi enabler”?

“Blasting ISIS”? ISIS is allowed to take key cities in Iraq and Syria under Obama’s nose, while he had prior intelligence that it’s going to happen and he just allowed it.
He refuses to utter the word “terror” and supports blasphemy laws: “the future must not belong to those who slander the prophet muhamad”.
“Energy independence”? Would not approve clean, ethical Keystone pipeline but rather buy Shaira oil? Well, after all Muslim Brotherhood thugs are welcome in the State Dept.
The economy? People earning less than in 2005 and industry is disappearing due to massive regulations, while he supports “green” non existent projects (Solyndra).
Oh yea, and “If you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor, period”.

Qedin,
30,000 is gross underestimation. By UK’s own admission the terrorists are made out of poverty you see….. UK should be kind enough to pay for millions of poor muslims who will join Islamic state and pay many more millions who are praying for the conversion or and murder of all infidels. …and God save the muslims who question the evil relgion UK cannot help… sorry…
Angemon says
I’d like to say that it’s 3400 less losers who won’t go jihadi on a supermarket, but I don’t know how many of those were allowed to return.
mortimer says
Disagree. The jihadists are doing a lot of harm to innocent residents, their property, their culture, their children, to the ecology of the region, to intersectarian harmony. The damage will be costly or impossible to repair. The refugees crisis is heartbreaking.
It’s cheaper to prevent the jihadists than to hunt them down. The jihadists in Syria will be dropping like flies soon due to illness.
qedlin says
Can you elaborate on what “illness.”

My guess is, the diseases they will contract from having sex with donkeys.

Areas affected by war are subject to all kinds of infectious outbreaks. Raqqa is experiencing a good outbreak of Leishmaniasis skin disease, which is a protozoan flesh-eating disease which can be fatal:

Also, hepatitis A and typhoid are a problem in Syria/ Iraq currently because of lack of clean drinking water:

Don McKellar says
As I’ve said before, pointing out the obvious, logical solution, the entire area needs to be quarantined as completely as possible. One step in that direction is for these countries to strip these monsters of their citizenship and passports as soon as they leave so they can never some back. Yes, countries can do that. Yes, it is the right thing to do. Yes, it is time for modern, advanced countries to start thinking about and acting for the best interests of their citizens. Yes, these people must be left to rot in the desert, having chosen their own exile and now they must be given no way out.
Not only will taking such action separate these cancerous tumors from the healthy world, it will be the most effective means possible to prevent more cancer from growing. Is some fool thinks we should be stopping these monsters from leaving, well this will work for that, too. They see that they no longer have the right of return and almost certainly a great many of them will rethink and not go in the first place. A great number of these monsters leave with all intentions of coming back if the going gets rough or they’ve done their tour of duty! We see that ALL THE TIME. When that is cut off as a possibility, many will choose not to go.
Caroline says
Unfortunately, I don’t see how the Jihadis can be identified from the refugees flocking to the shores of Europe. I would love to see our government strip these creatures of their citizenship, but they have already allowed hundreds to return thanks to our human rights laws.
Lesley says
@Caroline:
Exactly right; it is impossible to tell who among the Muslim population demographic will participate in terrorism. The lowest common denominator is Islam. The most practical solution would be to ban the practice of Islam on our shores and require that immigrants apostatize.
I know many will think it is being unfair to these ‘nice’ Muslims here or there, and there are, in fact, many nice people who are Muslims (just as there are in any segment of the population). I’m sure there were many nice people who went along with the Nazis, also. I bet there were many who were perfectly nice to their neighbors and coworkers, as long as they weren’t Jewish– and perhaps some were nice even to their Jewish neighbors.
Islam has been at war with the rest of the world since it’s inception, and until we ban its practice, we’re not going to get anywhere.
When European immigrants came to the US through Ellis Island, many shortened their names or took more American sounding names like, “Bob” in order to fit in with our way of life. If these immigrants really want to be part of Western society, they can drop their Muslim faith and either choose another one, or choose to be without a faith.
Beagle says
I suspect 30,000 is a conservative number based on known jihadis. It should be noted most of these recruits have made hijrah in the last year. So that means 30,000 in a year. At that rate IS will have more foreign fighters than UK army personnel in two more years.
