Exposing the role that Islamic jihad theology and ideology play in the modern global conflicts

Mosque that wanted ban on criticism of Islam holds funeral for Texas cartoon jihadist

May 7, 2015 3:53 pm By Robert Spencer

Nadir SoofiFitting. “Kansas City Mosque That Wanted to Ban Free Speech Will Hold Funeral for TX Jihadist Nadir Soofi,” by Patrick Poole, PJ Media, May 6, 2015:

A Kansas City mosque that petitioned Barack Obama to ban free speech defaming Islam in 2012 will hold the funeral for one of the two jihadists killed in a shootout Sunday outside a Dallas-area convention center that was hosting a “Draw Muhammad” cartoon contest.

The Islamic Society of Greater Kansas City (ISGKC) will hold a funeral on Thursday for Nadir Soofi, according to KCTV5:

The funeral for one of the people suspected in a chilling attack outside a Texas art contest will be held in the metro.

While Nadir Soofi never lived in the metro his father lives in an Overland Park neighborhood near 158th Place with his wife, Nadir’s stepmother. A woman who came to the door at the home told KCTV5 that the family didn’t want to talk about what happened to Soofi.

Police say the 34-year-old and 30-year-old Elton Simpson opened fire at a Dallas area conference center on Sunday. An art exhibit and contest depicting the Prophet Mohammad was being held there.

They wounded a security guard before police shot back, killing both.

While not mentioned in the article’s text, the KCTV5 video report specifically states that Soofi’s funeral service will be at ISGKC.

As I reported at PJ Media back in September 2012, ISGKC launched an online petition calling for Barack Obama to sponsor a bill limiting the free speech of American citizens by criminalizing insults to religion (namely, Islam) following international protest of the “Innocence of Muslims” video.

The petition, which was signed by the ISGKC executive board and posted on the mosque’s website, received 348 signatures. One of the mosque board members defended the petition in an interview with the local media following our PJ Media report:

“Insulting somebody else or putting somebody down can insight violence and lead to people losing their lives. We’re trying not to give these people a chance to misbehave,” said Mohammed Kohia, who started the petition along with the executive board of the Islamic Society of Greater Kansas City….

Does anybody know that these muzzslimes are buried w/o embalming, in nothing but a crude burial shroud, placed in a hole in the ground WITHOUT A CASKET OR CEMENT BURIAL VAULT???

No joke – you can research it on Wikipedia under “Islamic burial of the dead” or similar words to that effect!

CHECK THAT AGAINST “BURIAL LAWS” IN THE UNITED STATES.

Hi! They do not embalm. They wash the body according to some sick ritual in the cemetery. When my uncle did I saw it. I was 11-12 years old. It is so morbid. They make burial and funerals just as morbid as Islam. They then wrap the body into a white cloth, just like someone who killed a person would do. They then dig the grave though there hundreds of graves already dug, they put the dead in it and cover it up with dirt and then put a stone on it with name etc…m

Thank you so much, Miriam – and you certainly are one person who would know about this! I don’t see how this could possibly be a legal burial by anybody’s standard here in the US. Americans wake up! This is not even a sanitary procedure, much less a proper burial. I heard that the ebola crisis in Africa was heightened by this repulsive “ritual washing” of the dead. It’s a known fact that the ebola virus does not die with the victim. So, needless to say, all of those involved, who conducted the washing ceremony, all caught ebola and likewise died!

Mosque that wanted ban on criticism of Islam holds funeral for Texas cartoon jihadist
    …………………………………..

    Well, they’re consistent…

Also, note: this is a Mosque *in Kansas City*. This is a Mosque neither in the place Soofi lived—Phoenix, Arizona—nor in the place he died—Dallas, Texas. So it’s not as though this were just the local Mosque or the Mosque he attended, where they might hold his funeral out of proximity or because he had attended before he waged violent Jihad.

In other words, this Mosque had to go out of their way to hold this funeral, which suggests a special affinity with this “Mujahideen”. *Ugh*.

    More:

A Kansas City mosque that petitioned Barack Obama to ban free speech defaming Islam in 2012 will hold the funeral for one of the two jihadists killed in a shootout Sunday outside a Dallas-area convention center that was hosting a “Draw Muhammad” cartoon contest.
    …………………………………..

And why not? Nadir Soofi’s homicidal Jihad was this crushing of freedom of speech in action.

    More:

While Nadir Soofi never lived in the metro his father lives in an Overland Park neighborhood near 158th Place with his wife, Nadir’s stepmother. A woman who came to the door at the home told KCTV5 that the family didn’t want to talk about what happened to Soofi.
    …………………………………..

Well, she certainly didn’t condemn this Jihadist’s murderous actions—which she could have done even if she still loved this creep as a relative. Also, note the passive phrasing—what “happened to him”, as though he was in a tragic car accident or something, instead of being shot by police because he was trying to massacre an auditorium full of innocent people. Muslims *never* take responsibility for their actions.

    More:

As I reported at PJ Media back in September 2012, ISGKC launched an online petition calling for Barack Obama to sponsor a bill limiting the free speech of American citizens by criminalizing insults to religion (namely, Islam) following international protest of the “Innocence of Muslims” video.

The petition, which was signed by the ISGKC executive board and posted on the mosque’s website, received 348 signatures. One of the mosque board members defended the petition in an interview with the local media following our PJ Media report:
    …………………………………..

348 signatures is not exactly a “tiny minority”. They—like most Muslims—believe that the state should enforce Shari’ah law on us, and not allow any Infidel to openly expose the violence of Islam.

ISGKC also signed the US Muslim Religious Council’s notorious Fatwa against terrorism. This may superficially sound good—a lot of hopeful Infidels were impressed—but this was more about slamming “Anti-Muslim Extremists” than actually opposing Jihad terrorism.

    http://myjihad.org/us-muslim-religious-councils-fatwa-against-terrorism/

It doesn’t take much reading between the lines—such as the quote of Qur’an 5:32 and the use of “innocent” and “unjust” and “suicide” to see that they are neatly sidestepping any actual condemnation of waging violent Jihad. This whole thing is a work of Taqiyya, intended to snow the “filthy Kuffar”, and not actually oppose Jihad.

For instance, they quote the line from Qur’an 3:104 about “enjoining good and forbidding evil”, without ever letting on that this refers to the imposition of brutal Shari’ah law.

    More:

“Insulting somebody else or putting somebody down can insight (sic) violence and lead to people losing their lives. We’re trying not to give these people a chance to misbehave,” said Mohammed Kohia, who started the petition along with the executive board of the Islamic Society of Greater Kansas City….
    …………………………………..

Look what this is positing—that if someone is “insulted” that they may turn murderously violent, and hence it is up to the victims to appease the barbarians sufficiently that they won’t “insight” violence.

That means that the touchiest and most violent bully on the playground gets to set the limits of freedom of expression in the civilized world. *Ugh*.

And this is nothing unusual—Islam blames the victim for the Jihad violence against them if they dare overstep the bounds of dhimmi adherence to Shari’ah strictures. Under Shari’ah, no one may criticize or even question Islam.

“.. We’re trying not to give these people a chance to misbehave,” said Mohammed Kohia..”

Perhaps I misunderstand: The Mosques, Imams, Quran, and Hadiths teach or contain violence against Jews and unbelievers and also call for the destruction of anyone standing in the way of Da’wa, and you’re saying that Islam’s programming of this man’s mind for violence was caused by some Infidel?

The media is too ignorant to challenge this delusional lyng for Islam. This is the bitter fruit that was sown by Fundamental Islamic Ideology. It’s in your theology and it can’t be hidden in this age of the internet and searchable Theology. No other religious system calls for the overthrow and replacement of all government and law. The closest recent sercular systems were Naziism and Communism.

The man was a criminal and Islam was his mentor.

  6. Michael Copeland says

    May 7, 2015 at 5:23 pm

Note the implication that the video “Innocence of Muslims” was “insulting”, thereby giving the desired impression that it was a scurrilous defamation. It was nothing of the sort. It was a faithful, though low-budget, enactment of Islam’s own source texts. Every incident portrayed is as recorded there. The film is scrupulously accurate.

    • gravenimage says

      May 7, 2015 at 5:36 pm

*Very* true, Michael. All the film noted was how violent Muslims are to Copts and other Infidels today, and that this is done on the model of the “Prophet”. There was very little in the film that is not on the basis of the orthodox texts of Islam.

The problem pious Mohammedans have with the “Innocence of Muslims” is not that it is not factual, but that it does not laud Muhammed for his psychotic perversions.

    • Westman says

      May 7, 2015 at 6:26 pm

When the film, Innocence of Muslims, presents a speech where it was declared that Muhammad never lifted a finger to harm anyone, that was enough nausea for me. He ordered murders and participated in the slaughter of a Jewish tribe, recorded in Islam’s own Hadiths, He had a habit of letting others do the killing and maiming for him What he was, and the Sunnah pogroms against non-believers, thunders so loudly in the ears of the West, that the claims of Islam, as peaceful, cannot be heard.

    • gravenimage says

      May 7, 2015 at 5:56 pm

Good question, Jaladhi. Here’s some more Taqiyya from Mohammed Kohia:

      https://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/OP_Kansas_Muslim_Community/conversations/topics/885

This is a presentation by this creep in the wake of the Ft Hood Jihad shootings, where Muslims whine that coverage of this attack has “highlighted Islam negatively”. They don’t actually condemn the attack themselves.

Kohia gave a presentation at the ISGKC on “What Does Islam Say About Terrorism”. They make it quite clear that this is nothing but Da’wa by saying:

“We need to do our duty of promoting the word of Allah (swt) in this part of the world , and therefore we request the community members to support this program by inviting your non-Muslim neighbors, friends, relatives, and colleagues to this event.”

Obviously, this is not intended to “correct” the views of homicidal Jihadists like Nidal Malik Hasan, but just to snow the filthy Kuffar.

      • Jaladhi says

        May 7, 2015 at 6:13 pm

If this creep wants to spread the word of that criminal Mo/allah, its our duty also to counter his propaganda. Unfortunately our politicians, MSM and the academia are wit them which makes our task difficult but we must press on and counter all their lies with sites like JW, ThROP, etc. The general population has to be made aware of the criminal nature of Islam and the lies of their followers.

This article illustrates how sometimes there are no shades of gray, only black and white. The black here is Islam and the white here is the First Amendment to the American Constitution. And between this black and white there can never be accord.

I would assert this as well: The First Amendment to the American Constitution is the finest part of said Constitution, which Constitution four time Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, William Gladstone, called “the single greatest document ever produced by man.” The First Amendment stands as a magnificent statement written by man which opposes so much of what Islam so clearly stands for. No wonder the First Amendment is looked upon by the Islamic world at large as a mortal enemy, something to be eviscerated or entirely gotten rid of.

Americans live in a country where either the principles laid out in the First Amendment will prevail or the principles found in the Islamic faith will prevail. A greater contrast between light and darkness would be hard to find.

A friend asked me tonight, what would I think of a group of (say) renegade Christians (Catholic and/or protestant, doesn’t matter0 who killed a bunch 9or even a few) Muslims who criticized Christ?

And, more importantly, WHAT DID I THINK THE LAME STREAM MEDIA AND THE GUTLESS WONDERS AKA POLITICIANS WOULD SAY AND DO?

We both agreed, they would NOT say that these Christians are a minority; they would blast the entire religion 9 even if a one time massacre) and call for reigning in of these Christians.

    Any differing views?

    • Wellington says

      May 7, 2015 at 7:32 pm

I agree with you and your friend, Oliver. A huge and glaring double standard in America today is the way Christians are regularly mocked by the MSM, often made to look like kooks and all that, but never, ever Muslims. What makes this all the more pathetic and stupid is that Christians and their faith are not a threat to liberty but Muslims and their faith are. You couldn’t get it more ass-backwards if you tried. But that’s the MSM for you in today’s America. It’s the principal reason (there are others like giving liberal politicians a pass often times but never conservative ones) why I have come to have zero respect for the MSM.

  12. RonaldB says

    May 7, 2015 at 7:17 pm

I think it important to understand that Muslims simply do not understand the unconditional nature of free speech. In a way, when they say they support free speech, but call for restrictions on criticism of Muhammad, they are not engaging in taquiya…or rather, it’s self-taquiya.

I knew a Muslim for over ten years. He was not a bad guy. He had been in the United States well over 20 years. On one occasion, I mentioned I had the right to criticize anyone, Jesus, Muhammad, whoever. He became agitated, and said my rights ended where his rights began. The implication was, he had a “right” to not hear Muhammad insulted. He simply did not understand the concept of free speech, regardless of how long he had been in the country.

I didn’t press the point, because I feel part of the obligation of an employee of a company is to not cause disruptions in the work environment. But, of course, if I had had that same discussion on the street, I would have pointed out that there is no right whatsoever not to feel insulted or upset by an expressed opinion.

More than one person has observed that Muslims don’t think the same as non-Muslims.

Let me make another observation. Most of the Muslim commentators on this blog are not very sophisticated, to put it mildly. But, you can go to the websites of CAIR, the Islamic Society of North America, or other Muslim “mainstream” organizations. Their English is (for the most part) good, and their presentations slick. They quote verses from the Mecca period of the Koran, and talk about being American and being citizens like anyone else. And of course, in areas where Muslims are a substantial community, they provide a bloc of votes that is potentially critical in a close election.

    • Wellington says

      May 7, 2015 at 7:57 pm

There is much, RonaldB, I could take from your on-point commentary and comment upon, but I will limit myself to just one matter you stated and that is your accurate assertion that Muslims in America “talk about being American and being citizens like anyone else.”

Anyone, I mean ANYONE, whether Muslim or non-Muslim, who thinks that Muslims in America are just as American as the next guy or gal down the block, as American as apple pie and Chevrolet, is either a liar or a fool. Might as well state that a Neo-Nazi or a KKK member or an anarchist is just as American as anyone else.

The essential and sine qua non problem remains, that being that Islam must not be accorded any more respect than other hateful and freedom-crushing ideologies. Islam is not just another religion. It is also a totalitarian ideology which is a mortal enemy of liberty. By now, one either knows this or should know it. Those averring otherwise are completely worthy of dismissal.

Hope you and yours are doing well. Always a pleasure to read your comments here at JW.

    • Oliver says

      May 9, 2015 at 12:26 pm

      Ronald,

” your rights— etc”- is the BASTARDIZATION of a quote from a Supreme Court Justice (I think in the either early 20th century or late 19th century)- and it was more like ” your right to swing your arm ends where my nose begins”. It had more to do with PHYSICAL activities then verbal statements. (Unless slanderous/libelous- and then, there are courts- )- and, as far as I know ( and has been mentioned here) one cannot slander or libel someone dead for over `1,000 years.

  13. Westman says

    May 7, 2015 at 8:19 pm

I suspect the Islamic programmed violence is set off in two distinct ways, 1. As an outlet for personal frustration or failure, and, 2. Instructions from a perceived religious authority.

This fellow, Nadir, supposedly was a pre-med student, at a Utah University for a few years. Pre-med means nothing; its only preparatory coursework, containing science and physiology in addition to typical college studies. Getting into the Medical School is everything. When the facts come out, if ever, its likely that he was not accepted into the School of Medicine and, in the fine tradition of Islam, blamed the Kuffir for his own failings.

I’m guessing he was influenced by personal feelings from (1.) and other Muslim instigators (2.) took advantage of his feelings, and encouraged him to act for ISIS against the Kuffir to avenge his anger.

Misled, or not, if you do the crime, you are an attempted murderer. And if you are Muslim and do it in the name of Islam, you are an Islamic Terrorist.

    • gravenimage says

Of course, Westman, there are plenty of Infidels who fail to get into med school, or have other goals that they were unable to meet. Most have a stiff drink or eat a pint of Häagen-Dazs, and then take another shot at it, or perhaps look for something else.

They don’t—as is so common with Muslims—deal with frustrations and failures by plotting to murder innocent people.
