The U.S. government’s official position is that the Islamic State’s ideology has absolutely nothing to do with Islam, and that the Muslims who join it know and care little or nothing about their religion, and that the overwhelming majority of Musims reject and are repulsed by its understanding and practice of Islam.
And now Mike Rogers tells us that this nauseating and un-Islamic perversion of Islam is “increasingly resonating” with Muslims in the U.S. How and why that is happening, he apparently did not explain, and no one seems to have asked him about it.
And so the yawning canyon of cognitive dissonance grows ever larger.
