Exposing the role that Islamic jihad theology and ideology play in the modern global conflicts

Texas: Muslim who pledged allegiance to Islamic State charged with lying to FBI

May 14, 2015 11:09 pm By Robert Spencer

Islamic State southern SyriaHe says he worked as an interpreter for the US Army in Iraq before coming to the United States, but that could not be immediately confirmed. In any case, what is this anomaly — a supporter of the Islamic State in Texas? Why didn’t one of the Vast Majority of Muslims Who Condemn ISIS take him aside and explain to him how he was misunderstanding the Religion of Peace?

“FBI: Mesquite Man Pledged Allegiance to ISIS Leader,” by Scott Gordon, NBCDFW, May 14, 2015:

A Mesquite, Texas, man who pledged allegiance to ISIS and lied to the FBI about it was arrested on Thursday, according to a criminal complaint.

Bilal Abood, 37, a licensed security guard, is charged with making a false statement to the FBI. He faces up to eight years in prison.

Abood was born in Iraq and migrated to the United States in 2009. He was a naturalized U.S. citizen, prosecutors said.

Abood tried to travel to Iraq from D/FW International Airport on March 29, 2013, but was not allowed to board the flight. He was interviewed by FBI agents, claimed he was going to visit family, and denied that he planned to fight for ISIS, the complaint said.

He later admitted he planned to go to Syria to fight with the Free Syrian Army against the government, the complaint said.

The following month, he left DFW for Mexico and traveled through various countries to get to Syria. When he returned in September 2013, he admitted to FBI agents that he had stayed in a Free Syrian Army camp and fought with the group, the complaint said.

The Free Syrian Army? Our stalwart moderate allies? How could he possibly have gone from them to the Islamic State? What “radicalized” him? (Yes, Virginia, this is all sarcastic. The Free Syrian Army is not “moderate” and Abood was not “radicalized.”)

In July 2014, the FBI obtained a search warrant to search his computer. The search found that Abood had pledged allegiance to ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi on June 19, 2014 and had viewed videos of atrocities such as beheadings and had tweeted information on al-Baghdadi, prosecutors said.

In his interview with FBI agents, he denied he had pledged allegiance to ISIS, and that denial was the basis of his charge.

It was not clear why agents waited nearly a year to arrest him.

Abood does not face a terrorism charge and there is no allegation he was planning any attacks in the United States….

There are probably TWO THOUSAND dangerous jihadists in the US, thanks to the absurd immigration policy…with more on the way.

The UN (run by corrupt Muslims) sets the refugees they want to send to infiltrate the US. This is total madness.

The Muslim refugees should be placed in a culturally similar environment, and if necessary paid for by Western governments until they can return to their home countries. NO MUSLIMS should be brought to Western countries, since they have proven to all Western countries that they will not integrate, they maintain gender apartheid and do absolutely nothing to stop home-grown terrorism.

Muslims are a net negative for all Western countries. Muslims should stay in Muslim countries.

    Free Syrian Army ?

In what way is a Muslim in favor of ‘freedom’? Certainly, none of them want pluralism!

None of them want a free press! None of them want free speech! None of them want freedom for women! None of them want freedom for minorities!

So the word freedom here is OFFENSIVELY mendacious false advertising. We don’t buy it.

Pardon me – if pardon is needed- but heed people who are well informed and fight for freedom of speech. The three I want to name: Pamela Geller, Robert Spencer and Geert Wilders. The true, CIVILISED Westerner wants more than freedom of speech. We want to be RID OF MUSLIM EVILDOERS – NOW!! They are a scourge. We all are sick to death of their satanistic atrocities!! Here in the U.K. as well as in the U.S. the true Brit and the loyal patriot there must UNITE and rid ourselves and RESTORE our culture and our true inheritance NOW!

“The Free Syrian Army? Our stalwart moderate allies?”

If John McCain says they are moderate then they are moderate.

Remember he went there and took photos with the FSA.

Strip him of his American citizenship and let him go on his merry way.
