Ibn Warraq has a website at last, and it is a fine one indeed. Be sure to visit it, bookmark it, and visit again, making it a regular habit to do so.
Ibn Warraq is one of the few honest thinkers in the world today. His 1995 book Why I Am Not A Muslim was an extraordinary influence on me, and his many historical compilations, including The Quest for the Historical Muhammad and What the Koran Really Says guided my researches for my book Did Muhammad Exist.
His book Why the West Is Best is a much-needed corrective to the all-pervasive and highly corrosive self-hatred that the Left has succeeded in spreading through contemporary American and European culture.
Go to his site. Buy his books. Read them. Heed them.

Ibn Warraq is one of the most scholarly of the counterjihad writers and the worthiest to be heard by all serious students of Islam. His research is excellent and his conclusions are steady and sturdy.
His website will make a valuable contribution to understanding Islam’s normative jihadism.

Brilliant! I have just visited the site to have a look around. Absolutely wonderful. Now I can switch between Jihad Watch, Jpost and now, Ibn Warraq’s web site. Yippee!

I think it is a nice clean looking webpage..ibn Warraq is a name I have seen….just briefly scanned and saw a comment ” muslims need to be protected’, maybe from other muslims who are devout, but in this country….i really don’t think it is needed any more than any other citizen or Christian. Curious to read who influenced Mr. Spencer.

I briefly visited Ibn Warraq’s website, nice clean website. I noticed a comment about muslims needing to be protected, just thought to myself, not so much in this country….but maybe from the ideology or other muslims. I have an opinion, that they are not treated much differently from that any other citizen…or Christian or person of the Jewish faith.

Very true, Read “Orientalism” first by Edward Saeed and then Ibn Waraq’ s book . They should never teach Saeed in school. his book is very bias and full of factual mistakes.

Here is a good interview Robert Spencer did of Ibn Warraq several years ago; a very fascinating person.

Ex muslims are our best aliles in in the fight against islamic barbarity and savagery. Therefore Churches should make a great effort to convert more muslims and forget about wishy washy “dialogue”. Thank God for Fr, Zaccharias Botros and his cable TV program which is doing great work. No wonder they are offering $60 million for the good preist’s head.

I’m glad he finally got his mojo back!

Ibn Warraq and Ali Sina provided my first access to the experiences and views of Apostates from Islam and I am eternally grateful for that opportunity to make sense of recent world events and conflicts from the Iranian Revolution through 9/11 and into the current ISIS period. Two great men, two thoughtful and highly dedicated people.

I have skimmed thru Ibn Warraq’s book “Which Koran?” It’s heavy duty scholarship and throws the Koran into real doubt.
Ayaan Hirsi Ali says “Ibn Warraq is a hero of mine, and it is shameful that he and his writings have not been recognized for their scholarship, courage, and relevance…Ibn Warraq’s book Why I am Not a Muslim…has had a profound influence on me, and gave me courage in my own work and activities.”
Robert Spencer says Ibn Warraq had a huge influence. He says reading Ibn Warraq was “transformative.”
The Islamists condemn Ibn Warraq as a “false scholar.”
“What we think we know about Mohamed is shaky and probably later inventions.”

“We can’t really rely on the hadiths….There are all sorts of anomalies” – Ibn Warraq.
The earliest recorded biography of Mohamed dates from two centuries after his death.
“The nature of the evidence we have is often contradictory and incoherent…It’s the nature of the sources….They resemble rather the story-tellers..who were used to inventing stories …Without any confirmation or corroboration from outside, one needs tore main very skeptical of their historical value. The fact remains that they do contradict one another.”
This is a great interview! Devastating rebuttal to the notion of a single, solid story of Mohamed. Pass it along.
