Could its Shia leadership have been why it was targeted by members of the Islamic State, a Sunni group that has declared jihad against Shi’ites as well as against the West (and particularly France)? Or was it targeted simply because it is a gas factory, and the pious killers were hoping for a gas explosion that would maximize the carnage? No way to tell as yet, but these are live possibilities. A man has been arrested, but he is thus far refusing to talk.
“Grenoble attack: Man found beheaded and Islamist flag raised above factory in France – latest,” Telegraph, June 26, 2015:

Alain Juppé, the mayor of Bordeaux, has condemned the attacks saying that France “must make every effort to protect its citizens”.
“The terrorist threat is at a maximum,” he says.
Mr Hollande is returning home early from the EU summit on Friday, officials said….

The man arrested is refusing to talk, according to BFM TV reporters. The channel reports that the individual has no papers that can identify him thus police have not yet been able to either.
A security official said the torso was found near the site of the explosion but that the victim was not decapitated by the blast.
Two flags, one white and one black and both with Arabic inscriptions, were found at the scene, Associated Press reported….

Some background from Josie Ensor about Air Products.
It is interesting to note that the president of the company targeted in the attack, Air Products, is a Shia Iranian named Seifi Ghasemi.
Iran supports Bashar al-Assad’s regime in Syria, which is battling against Sunni Islamic State militants….

…France’s anti-terror prosecutors have opened an inquiry for “murder and attempted murder in a group in relation to a terrorist organisation”, writes Henry Samuel in Paris.
Itele cites police sources as describing as “false” reports that the man arrested is known to French intelligence services.
The 40-odd employees in the factory have been evacuated.
Witnesses at the scene said there was more than one attacker involved but this is unconfirmed.

What we know so far from AFP:
A suspected Islamist attacker pinned a decapitated head covered with Arabic writing to the gates of a gas factory in eastern France on Friday before being arrested, police say
The suspect entered the factory and set off several small explosive devices, the source said at around 10am local time
Police said it was unclear whether the attacker was acting alone, or had accomplices
A man thought to be the person who carried out the attack has been arrested – it is reported he is known to the security services
Bernard Cazeneuve, the interior minister said is on his way to the scene, his office say11.02
The man arrested reportedly said he was a member of Islamic State….

“Bernard Cazeneuve, the interior minister said is on his way to the scene, his office say”
this dangerous useful idiot (if not worse) Cazeneuve, is rushing there to “protect” the reputation of the Islamists if anything.

the caption to these two pictures of Cazesneuve (French Interior Minister) read in english:
1. “It’s not a crime to advocate the Jihad.”
He said that 6 months before this “advocating” of Jihad was successful, yet again and not for the first time in France and elsewhere, on the 5. August 2014. The massacres at CharlieHebdo and the Koscher Supermarket in Paris took place 6 months later.
2. “Evoking the Christian roots of France is adulterating history and it makes France increasingly nauseating.”
What chance for France
With a Minister for Justice like that?
And the rest of this fully islam-compliant, Qatar-financed extreme Left Government (Education Minister is Arab Muslim double nationality, Justice Minister is a virulent anti-white Racist and French-hater from the former colonies, Mayor of Paris blatantly whores for Qatar….are certainly not on the side of the native French people whom I feel sooooooooooooo sorry for.

Wow. Well, we now celebrate homosexual marriage, and that’s a great thing that can only do society good. And now with Bruce’s operation we celebrate transgenderism, a new celebration that again can only do good for us all.
Looking at your link, we see in Cazeneuve that craven and unqualified submission to Moslems wrapped in delusion is coming out of the closet to combat prejudice.
Oh, forget the critics. France is doing fine. One wonders what dire straits La Belle France would be in if Iraq Jacques had not brought in tens of millions of Moslems to enrich the country with his visionary EAD program. At first they were pretty much just in Marseilles, but now things are so good that you can get your fill of men wearing geeky little white caps and women wearing face masks in places like Lille, Arras and even Nancy. Oh, lo!, praise the lifting of the scales from the eyes of prejudiced Judeo-Christians!
Question: is prejudice always wrong, is it always a bad thing? For example, for some reason I’m prejudiced against junkies hooked on heroin and meth, I won’t let them in my house or even onto my yard. I don’t know why I feel this way, and frankly I’m worried that I might be just another prejudiced white guy.

Don’t forget the celebration of Dolezal’s transracialism. From discriminated against for being white to receiving death threats for being black. It seems like Miss Dolezal just can’t get a break…

Dang it, I forgot about Rachel’s pioneering work. And that’s *Ms.* to you, fella. Watch your step.
Rachel had the courage to come out against prejudice against people who are not even a member of a victimized minority protected group who overcome that by transitioning themselves to the best and most deserving of victimized groups, black Americans. But even then she came to suffer the predations of those who victimize persons who make themselves into fake victims by way of lying and fraud, as if lying and living a lie is somehow a bad thing even though it’s a multicultural lie.
There is no end to prejudice in this world, no limit. I’m the first to admit this sad fact; I openly admit here and now that I am prejudiced against Moslems. So sue me.

I bet this example of piety believes Allah is God, who blesses his efforts. That’s common among the pious. Allah made it clear in his book what he expects from the pious, and the pious do their best to comply. But Allah is schizophrenic in idea and behavior, which then becomes a symptom in the pious.
It’s a special kind of schizophrenia, I call Allahphrenia…When an Allahphrenic is overwhelmed by the spirit, he has an Allahgasm, that can take the form of an attack on Allah’s enemies. When this happens, it is called jihad. There is little cure for this, but sometimes lead injections work…

Option c) – Both of the above.

Angemon quoted Alarmed Pig Farmer’s rhetorical questions —
Could its Shia leadership have been why it was targeted by members of the Islamic State, a Sunni group that has declared jihad against Shi’ites as well as against the West (and particularly France)? Or was it targeted simply because it is a gas factory, and the pious killers were hoping for a gas explosion that would maximize the carnage?
And answered
“Option c) – Both of the above.”
Looks like Angemon has “totalitarian” tendencies as well, as he implied I had when I argued that for our threat assessment to protect our societies, we should treat any jihad attack as intending the maximum carnage it could have yielded — and thus we should treat the that maximum intent as tantamount to the facts we are assessing.

I.e., For our threat assessment to protect our societies, this jihad attack at the Air Products industrial plant near Grenoble should not be treated as a lone wolf attack murdering one person — but as a jihad commando mission (some witnesses reported seeing two men with black flags) that intended to wreak many more casualties and destruction in addition to the one man beheaded.
Note for sophomores: A threat assessment is distinct from, but related to, ongoing criminal forensics by law enforcement. When the West regains its sanity and reason, it will realize it is at war in a world war declared by Muslims and will stop insisting on arrogating the criminal forensics above the military threat assessment (at best, the West has been trying to have its cake and eat it too by treating these various attacks — and plots of attack — as some twilight category in between Criminal and Military (hence, “terrorism”). The West needs to realize that Islamic terrorism is one of the ways Muslims are waging their world war against us.

Knock it off, voeg. APF proposed 2 choices, I offered a third. Nowhere I said my choice was the only one, nor did I insult or attacked anyone supporting any other choice. Also, on that other topic I said, and I quote:
“What you’re suggesting is not out of place in totalitarian regimes, but has no place in Western civilization”
I’d say there’s a distinct lack of me saying you have totalitarian tendencies, since I made it quite clear, except maybe for the densest, most obtuse, of the small-minded people, that I was referring to your idea, not to you.
But since you bring up the question of whether you have, or not, totalitarian tendencies, let’s see:
– You go out of your way to spread smear propaganda where you misrepresent, and lie about anyone disagreeing with you,
– You expect total support from everyone, no matter what,
– You, on several occasions, demanded others to come and peer pressure me and Philip Jihadski into silence, as not to question you or your ideas – ergo, you expected others to act like your own army of brownshirts
– You harassed others via email, trying to shame them into bully myself and PJ into silence
While it’s obvious from your behaviour (not allowing any dissidence, trying to bully others into ilence, etc) that there’s a clear totalitarian tendency in you, it is also obvious that on the example you mention I clearly referred to you asinine suggestion alone – which is no different in nature from anti-Israeli “palestinian” propaganda – and not to you.
Angemon says
Also, voeg, if you’re going to have a childish, knee-jerk, “NO U” response, at least put some effort into it.

Oh, yeah, almost forgot:
“Looks like Angemon has “totalitarian” tendencies as well”
Let it be on record that voegelinian acknowledged he has totalitarian tendencies.

Yes, France does need to protect its citizens. The French Government needs to start by rounding up the tens of thousands of illegal Muslims immigrants around Calais and elsewhere and DEPORT them back to Islamistan.
Keep feeding, clothing and housing the Musrats and they WILL KEEP COMING.

This terrorist was just following the example of ISIS. Had ISIS been taken out back in 2014 this may not have happened. I thus partly blame Obama’s middle eastern policies for all three of today’s attack. ISIS must be annihilated as a first step to reducing Islamic terrorism. Sadly Sunni Arabs cannot be relied upon to do the job. It’s thus up to the west.
Alarmed Pig Farmer says
It’s real smart to put a Moslem at the helm of a gas plant. Power generating utilities need multiculturalism, too. In the same vein, I call for a program to recruit Moslems into jobs as air traffic controllers for a multiculturalism payoff in that field, which is now a white racist stronghold. Oh, you may laugh at my suggestion, but let me point out that this is what was done in the hiring of FBI agents. Another example was in the immediate aftermath of 9/11 when we ramped up our Arab language translation capacity, and for reasons of multiculturalism gave all the newly created jobs to… Moslems.
