Exposing the role that Islamic jihad theology and ideology play in the modern global conflicts

Pamela Geller: “They targeted me for violating sharia blasphemy laws”

Jun 4, 2015 4:53 am By Robert Spencer

Usaama Rahim shootingThe execrable Daily News can’t stop sneering at the heroic Pamela Geller — “conservative firebrand,” “Upper East Side right winger” — even when she is a direct target of an Islamic State-inspired murder plot. The Daily News, and the rest of the comfortable media and political elites, are happy to throw her under the bus, saying, “Free speech? Yes, of course, but not deliberate provocation…”

They don’t realize that whatever distaste they may have for Pamela Geller (and that distaste ultimately derives from the fact that she enunciates truths they would rather ignore and deny), she stands for all of us now. Whether you’re as proud to stand with her as I am, or whether you wish she would go away, she is the figure today about whom one must decide: will I stand for freedom or kowtow to violent intimidation? Will I submit to the tyranny of violence, or defend free society?

You remember Pastor Niemöller from World War II? “First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out — because I was not a Socialist. Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out — because I was not a Trade Unionist. Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out — because I was not a Jew. Then they came for me — and there was no one left to speak for me.”

Well, here we are. First they came for Pamela Geller, and they did not speak out, because they didn’t like “right-wingers,” or because they wanted to keep appearing on CNN, or because they didn’t want to offend Islamic supremacists, or because they thought her ads were in poor taste, or because they wanted to keep on getting invited to the best parties, or because their Leftist Alinskyite friends would have laughed at them, or what have you. So first they came for Pamela Geller, and they did not speak out. What they do not realize, or do not care to acknowledge, is that they will not stop with Pamela Geller. They will not stop either with those who had something to do with showing Muhammad cartoons. They will not stop. It is stand now, or surrender.

“This is a showdown for American freedom,” said Geller. Yes, it is.

“Knife-wielding Boston terror suspect shot dead planned to behead conservative blogger Pamela Geller: report,” by Reuven Blau and Sasha Goldstein, New York Daily News, June 3, 2015:

Conservative blogger Pamela Geller says she won’t duck and cover over revelations the knife-wielding terror suspect shot dead in Boston Tuesday wanted to behead her.

“This is a showdown for American freedom,” Geller told the Daily News Wednesday.

Usaamah Abdullah Rahim, 26, was plotting to kill her and random law enforcement officers before he was fatally shot by an FBI agent and a Boston cop, CNN reported Wednesday.

The CVS security guard told his friend, David Wright, 25, on Tuesday about a plan to randomly kill “boys in blue” in Massachusetts, according to an FBI affidavit filed in federal court Wednesday.

He reportedly told Wright that cops were easier to target than someone out of state.

The man fatally shot by antiterrorism officers in Boston on Tuesday and the suspect arrested Tuesday night in Everett had conspired to kill a police officer, according to two law enforcement officials briefed on the case.

“They targeted me for violating sharia blasphemy laws. They mean to kill everyone who doesn’t do their bidding and abide by them voluntarily,” Geller said late Wednesday. The controversial firebrand, who recently hosted a Prophet Muhammad cartoon contest that was attacked by two gunmen in Garland, TX, said she’ll continue her “message of freedom” in the face of “savagery.”

“It’s just beginning,” the Upper East Side right winger said. “ISIS is here. Islamic terrorism is here.”

Rahim had been under 24-hour surveillance for several weeks by the Joint Terrorism Task Force when he was confronted, and ultimately killed, around 7 a.m. outside a CVS Pharmacy in Roslindale. Authorities tried to question Rahim soon after he bought three fighting knives and a sharpener on or before May 26, according to court documents.

“I’m just going to ah go after them, those boys in blue,” Rahim allegedly told Wright in a phone conversation recorded by the feds. “Cause, ah, it’s the easiest target and, ah, the most common is the easiest for me.”

Police say security footage taken from the Boston scene shows Rahim advancing on the officers with a large military-style blade before the shooting.

Rahim, who worked for CVS since March, was shot three times in the front of his body and died at a local hospital, according to authorities. The video has yet to be released but was shown to community leaders who verified the official account.

That unusual step was taken after Rahim’s brother, Ibrahim Rahim, a well-known imam who spoke out against terror after the Boston Marathon bombing, disputed the police account. Ibrahim wrote on Facebook that his brother was waiting for the bus to go to work when the shooting broke out.

The video “makes it clear he was not shot in the back” as Ibrahim claimed and he was not on a cell phone when the gunfire erupted, Darnell Williams, the president of the Urban League of Eastern Massachusetts told reporters after seeing the video.

Shortly after the fatal shooting, Wright was arrested in connection with Rahim’s alleged plot. Wright was arraigned in U.S. District court in Boston Wednesday and charged with conspiracy to obstruct the federal investigation. The feds say Wright was aware of Rahim’s plan to chop up cops either Tuesday or Wednesday and behead an unnamed victim in another state….

The Daily News says “Free speech? Yes, of course, but not deliberate provocation…”.

The Daily News seems, like many of today’s American News Media, VERY Pro Islam, Pro Muslim Pandering, and VERY Anti America-Anti Constitution.

Sort of like America’s VERY Apparent Pro Islam, Pro Muslim, Seemingly Anti America, Anti Constitution. Anti Christian, and Anti Israel – by HIS and HIS Administration’s OWN DOCUMENTED Words, Actions, and Deeds – “Imperial” Potus – Barack Hussein Obama, Jr. – who makes Statements such as – “Whatever we once were, we are no longer a Christian nation”, “Islam has always been part of America”, “The future must not belong to those who slander the Prophet of Islam”, “The sweetest sound I know is the Muslim call to prayer” – and MORE.

Also, as to the Daily News’s Statement “…but not deliberate provocation…”, take NOTE of the relation to Obama’s Statement “The future must not belong to those who slander the Prophet of Islam” –

…..If only more folks had the fortitude and conviction of Pamela Gellar. Unfortunately, the West has kowtowed to violent intimidation, and without voices like hers, the defense of a free society is in serious jeopardy. God help us. May we fight for the freedoms our forefathers fought to preserve. May we have the strength and courage Pamela Gellar exemplifies.

William Lucas Harvey Jr. I totally agree with you!!

Thing is, I still can’t figure out what the media are all so afraid of, except being persecuted by the media, but hey! they ARE the media!!!

And let’s not forget the Homeland Security “folks” – yup – these brave people that might speak out would have their very lives turned upside down and inside out if they said anything against what your ummmmm…president and his gang are spewing.

But, we DO have the likes of Pamela Geller, who says it how it really is, and the consequences be damned! She is one REALLY brave woman – not in the least deterred by any threats – and we all know what she is up against.

People MUST get with the truth – and accept it and trust it. And the truth is that we ARE in danger – all of Western Civilization is in grave danger. And if you don’t get your heads out of the sand – and VERY SOON, they will be chopped off – the terrorists WILL do as they have sworn to do!!!

Take them at their word – they say they will kill us all – you must believe them!! Look at what happened with this terrorist Rahim – he was going to murder/behead “the boys in blue” – and then behead Pamela – thank G_D he was caught! And his buddy Wright – arrested too!!

Pamela Geller believes the terrorists will do as they say – and all the others that will be coming after them! We can’t let her stand alone!!!

Have you noticed the lame-stream media’s tendency to use a perp’s english name when they know he probably wasn’t using it anymore? I think David Wright wanted to be called Dawud with an arabic sounding war name.

Good question. The (police)officers on the street i know would, but if they don’t get the “word” on what is happening they can’t do anything on something they know nothing about. It is the people higher up that I worry about, not the patrol officer.

The vile “Prophet” Muhammad’s Shariamonster, also known as “Islam,” wants to decapitate our freedom of speech. Muhammad himself had his critics murdered – and Muhammad’s Shariamonster has never ceased to follow his barbaric example.

Will Americans stand with the Founding Fathers, who wrote the Bill of Rights for the Land of the Free – or will we stand with the vile “Prophet” Muhammad’s vile Shariamonster which brings oppression and violence wherever it goes?

Let’s stand with the Founding Fathers – and not with the cowardly idiots who would have us discard our most precious freedom.

Say “NO” To Muhammad’s Shariamonster, and say “NO” to Islam!

Please, in the name of God, the next time Geller or Spencer is on a major TV channel, get in these two facts:

    1) The “Prophet Mohammed” ordered two contract murders on reporters who criticized him and Islam; the murderer, Salim Ibn Umayr did the murders and was rewarded by Mohammed for them.

Even if the pro-Moslem Infidel news entertainers (say, O’Reilly) interrupts and argues the historical accuracy of this, that doesn’t matter because this is accepted as fact by the Ulema.

    2) Current day Sharia makes it a capital crime to criticize (blashpeme) Allah or the “Prophet Mohammed.”

Somehow, these facts never seem to get worked into the “dialog” on Fox RINO, and certainly not on openly pro-Sharia TV channels like CNN. Fox RINO is trying to have its cake and eat it too, and they seem to be getting away with it.

I can only dream about going into the actual Holy Ko-Ran commands on Fox RINO, my personal fave is that a horrible murdering” verse. That one is the best. It gives life, er, death, to what the “Prophet Mohammed” did at banu Qurayzay, which of course could never be mentioned on a major TV station.

Allah has already struck terror into the heart of the media…
All those criticizing/smearing Pam have been infected. By the use of the ‘holy broadcasting pulpit’, they pass that terror on to their viewers, listeners, readers. This is manufacturing cowards for Allah by broadcasting their own terror like wheat seeds in a field. They may be clever in word trickery, but behind that is fear.
And their fear has crippled them. I’m already hearing the fear twist coming from the media. They don’t mention the threats to Pam. instead they tell us that Rahim had a history of mental illness, and was angry over cartoons. And so it begins…

      • Alarmed Pig Farmer says

        Jun 4, 2015 at 9:27 am

Media is the key. As you know, media is how we’ve gotten into deep trouble on a host of things having nothing to do with Islam.

Allah has already struck terror into the heart of the media…

It needs to be shocked out of its terror. I’m convinced that, upon the next big 9/11 scale attack, our news entertainers will revert back to the same equivocation, buttressed by equivalency, using its divide-by-two method to finally swirl us all the way down the civilizational drain.

    • Jack Diamond says

      Jun 4, 2015 at 9:24 am

Muhammad is essentially off-limits on those shows. Unless a guest slips something in, every Muslim’s example and model of conduct is not to be brought up. The reason is #2 on your list. Should he have to be mentioned he becomes The Prophet Muhammad and is talked around. Verses from the Qur’an are only mentioned when the jihadist screams them or posts them all over his social media and that too is censored if at all possible…so not offend.

Fortunately they are not the only source of news and information. It’s true someone like O’Reilly likely knows zilch about Muhammad’s Sunnah, it would be beneath him to read, but others are more aware Megyn Kelly maybe, I say that just because I’ve written her a few times myself in the past when she’d have a Muslim apologist on and I’d describe what Muhammad did and said and why that is important; not that she didn’t already know (?), not that others weren’t telling her the same things. I just assume she has some awareness. Which changes nothing about my first paragraph.

      • Alarmed Pig Farmer says

        Jun 4, 2015 at 10:25 am

Back in the day, there was virtually no Moslem news on TV, except for reports on the interminable Mideast “negotiations,” and even then with only a passing mention of Islam and never an analysis of it as a potential cause of the situation. Of course, the Jews’ desire to gain compensation for the Holocaust was frequently mentioned.

But now, the TV is filled with maybe a full third of Islam air time. You’d think, based on that, the news entertainers would be required to know the predominant subject with which they deal every night: Islam.

I’m not say they should be full fledged scholars like Spencer, but now they are virtually all lawyers who are thereby without the intellectual curiosity to research the facts.

        • Jack Diamond says

          Jun 4, 2015 at 11:20 am

They are forced to deal with Islam all the time because they are killing us or plotting to kill us or suing us all the time. It’s the last thing they (the media) want to talk about.
The Jihadists themselves really put the matter front and center, that it’s the Islam Stupid and the Muslims Stupid. Robert Spencer hasn’t exactly been a regular guest on these shows, they don’t want him quoting the Qur’an and Muhammad. He’s on now because he became the news. The jihadis put him and Pamela there.

Yes, of course you are right. Everyone reporting and “analyzing” these matters for millions of people on television, not to mention anyone in a position to decide policy, dealing in counter-terrorism, or with military strategy, should have a thorough understanding of Islam. They should have the intellectual curiosity (if not life or death urgency) that compels people here to study the subject. Nothing less should be accepted. People like Robert Spencer and Stephen Coughlin once used to teach them. Used to, that’s how low we’ve sunk. Instead we have the understanding of Islam personified by John Brennan, now running our CIA.

        • Jack Diamond says

          Jun 4, 2015 at 11:50 am

Now, after watching the video, I can add the understanding of Islam personified by Chris Cuomo (and his Muslim advisors). Islamic law has nothing to do with Muslims, it’s just some tradition.

Back at the time of arafat…hideous monster…one of the major news magazines published an article about how he would say, “peace with Israel” to the cameras and the reps from the U.S., etc., but in the back rooms, would plan and plot and scheme to murder as many Jews as he could because “there would be no peace with Israel.” A credible *source* told the reporter and the reporter wrote the article and the magazine published it. This reader read it.

FOX, Wall Street, the Pope, and many others mistakenly think that by giving up, we can avoid the war. Obama, the MSM, the Dems, and others have already joined the enemy. Either they have business ties or like the enemy better than us or they think they can save their hides this way.

        Jun 4, 2015 at 10:48 am

The war was declared in the 7th Century. Not by Bin Laden. Not by al-Baghdadi.
The source of “radicalization” is not Internet hypnotists or the equivalent of “perverts” from “normal” Islam luring naive children with extremist candy into their jihad car. The only pervert and hypnotist required is the (long dead) al-Insān al-Kāmil (the perfect human) and uswa hasana (an excellent model of conduct). That’s what infidels can’t or won’t comprehend and are paying dearly for. Islam is an historically destructive force, a destroyer of civilizations, from the beginning. It is also self-destructive and cannibalistic, from the beginning. The goal is to encourage the latter while avoiding the former.

        • spot on says

          Jun 4, 2015 at 12:06 pm

Good point. You are correct. This is an ongoing war since the 7th century. This war has had peaks and valleys but has not stopped in the 1400 year history of Mohammed’s World War. It has been perpetuated with his pseudo religion.

I don’t know how to classify such a war since our citizenry only have knowledge of WWII any more. Maybe we could call it WW-X. WW-X hasn’t boiled over since Tripoli, I believe it is about to boil over again and this time on steroids since they now have access to WMDs.

Pamela and Robert are right, this is a showdown for American freedom. At the core of it is the morality of Judeo-Christian, Western Civilization vs. Islam. Morality is about how people ought to behave, not how people do behave (that’s sociology), and for religions, it is defined by the authoritative texts of the religion (Bible for Jews and Christians, Qur’an and Hadith for Islam), and the laws of a country. Since the interviewers take moral offense to Pamela and Robert “insulting Islam”, I think they should have the conversation explicitly on moral terms because the interviewers position violates the law of non-contradiction when you examine the conflict. The conflict is the morality of the First Amendment protection of speech and the logical implication that it is immoral to murder anyone for what they say vs. the morality of Islamic doctrine that commands Muslims to murder anyone who blasphemes Islam, which of course, means drawing images of Muhammad. The interviewers claim a moral high ground, so they need to be specifically challenged on that basis because the answer, in my view, is obvious, and the issue of insulting someone melts away when expressed in those terms. I also think more people will start understanding what is at stake here if the arguments are made explicitly on moral grounds.

The Daily News staff apparently subscribe to the ‘victim’ theory about Muslims. Leftists have raised Muslims to ‘officially-designated victim status’. Therefore, Muslims may never be criticized. Criticizing Muslims is post-colonial oppression of a Marxist-protected victim group that needs ‘liberation’ from white privilege.

However, the reverse is true: Muslims are victimizers and see themselves as divinely-appointed colonizers and settlers.

What do these journalists actually think? Are they surrendering to Islam’s blasphemy laws?

Do they believe we should honor discriminatory Sharia laws that remove our freedom of speech? Do they want to lose their right to report on Islamic news?

They are not thinking of the consequences of taking the side of those who would silence all of the rest of us. They are afraid, but at the same time, they have a superior attitude much like those they are protecting by refusing to print/speak the truth about islam. Too soon, they have forgotten Daniel Pearl and his courage. They don’t see themselves as being subjected to silence by the same ones who are trying to silence Mr Spencer, Ms. Geller and others who speak/write. They do not realize that soon, they will not be allowed to even write what they write now, which is very little of the truth. Anything and everything that has the word islam, or muslim or sharia will be monitored and banned and censored depending on what the story says about these things.

We targeted her for being an asshole, in plain English.

You target her because she has courage to state her opinions without holding any weapons in her hands. Let’s see the jihadists do that.

      …………………………..

Notice that Jamal is fine with identifying with Usaamah Rahim, who planned to behead Geller, and the Muslims who plotted a massacre of her and the rest of the audience at the art show in Garland.

What he means by targeting is *murder*.

And what makes Ms. Geller an “asshole”? Why, daring to defy Shari’ah law’s ban on criticizing the baleful “Prophet”.

No one can say that Islam is violent—if you do, Jihadists will turn that violence on you.

And clearly, pious Muslims like Jamal approve.

No, your correligionists targeted her because she refused to act as sharia imposes. That was what, the third mohammedan killed while going after Pam? 3-0, is it?

If you were to target people for being assholes…… that would cut down the number of muslims rather drastically….

You targeted her because she is a woman, she is not a muslim, she is not a coward, and you cannot tolerate people telling the truth about your vile and filthy hate cult.
