Exposing the role that Islamic jihad theology and ideology play in the modern global conflicts

‘The Butterfly Effect’ – Obama, Climate Change, and Islam’s War against the World

Jun 1, 2015 7:41 pm By Ralph Sidway

If even the wings of a butterfly have weight and shared causality, then what of the teachings and example of a seventh century desert prophet?

President Obama, during his recent address at the Coast Guard Commencement ceremonies, again offered his profound views on the myriad vectors shaping global unrest and chaos. Ranking high among the primal forces threatening us — high enough to be emphasized by the President of the most powerful nation on the planet — is that bane of mankind, “climate change.”  Lest there be any doubt of the gravity of the situation, or of his authority in such matters, Mr. Obama predicates his mission with a great “I am” statement:

“I am here to say that climate change constitutes a serious threat to global security, an immediate risk to our national security, and make no mistake, will impact how our military defends our country.”

The Obama Administration is consistent and adamant on this topic. This past February, Vice-President Biden told college students in Iowa that “global warming is the greatest threat of anything at all, across the board,” and Secretary of State Kerry has likewise been beating the same drum.  (Never mind that the data shows we have been in a “global warming pause” for nearly two decades, and that climate-change IPCC scientists resorted to manipulating the data in order to create the fraudulent “hockey-stick graph” and advance their agenda.)

Curiously, the Administration’s emphasis on the threat from “climate change” seems to roughly balance its insistence that the Islamic State Caliphate is “not Islamic” and is not much of a threat anyway.  One might be tempted to think that the “war against climate change” is being used as a tool to deflect attention away from Islam’s war against us.

But let’s allow, for the sake of argument (and in deference to the great Ray Bradbury’s short story, “A Sound of Thunder”), that there is some validity to “The Butterfly Effect,” the chaos theory corollary which postulates that events of great consequence may be set in motion by much smaller events separated by vast scales of time and distance. “Change one thing — Change everything,” says the tag for the 2004 Ashton Kutcher film of the same name.

So, in the Obama narrative, chaotic weather shifts are contributing to drought, floods, poverty, inequity, and a host of other effects, all triggers generating global violent extremism, as disenfranchised groups duke it out for dwindling resources — or something like that.

But no matter how you dress it up with fancy words and phony analysis, the Obama narrative of “Blame it on the weather” is not only incorrect, it is downright deceitful.

Let’s rather explore “the Butterfly Effect” and take a quick ride in Ray Bradbury’s time machine back to the early 7th century. Let’s set the dials for shortly after Muhammad makes his hijra to Medina (Year 1, in the Islamic calendar). Let’s listen to the prophet and watch his actions. But take care not to step off the path.

…

The first thing we might hear would be recitations of early, Meccan-period, Quran verses such as these:

50:45. We know of best what they say; and you (O Muhammad) are not a tyrant over them (to force them to Belief). But warn by the Qur’an, him who fears My Threat.

109:1. Say: “O Al-Kafirun (disbelievers)!

109:2. “I worship not that which you worship,

109:3. “Nor will you worship that which I worship.

109:4. “And I shall not worship that which you are worshipping.

109:5. “Nor will you worship that which I worship.

109:6. “To you be your religion, and to me my religion (Islam).”

That sounds reasonable enough. Muhammad was not a tyrant – the Quran tells us so!  Islam is a “live and let live” religion.  Yes, this is what the experts and the president say Islam is.

We might even be around to hear Muhammad share this verse, from early in the Medinan period:

2:256. There is no compulsion in religion. Verily, the Right Path has become distinct from the wrong path. Whoever disbelieves in Taghut {idolatry} and believes in Allah, then he has grasped the most trustworthy handhold that will never break. And Allah is All-Hearer, All-Knower.

I remember those Islam experts telling us this, yes! Here is the religion of peace in its formative years… How wonderful!

But let’s stay on the path and keep watching and listening.

Wait… What’s this? This sounds totally at odds with what we heard after first arriving in the Way-Back machine:

9:5. Then when the Sacred Months have passed, then kill the Mushrikun {unbelievers} wherever you find them, and capture them and besiege them, and prepare for them each and every ambush…

8:39. And fight them until there is no more Fitnah (disbelief and polytheism: i.e. worshipping others besides Allah) and the religion (worship) will all be for Allah Alone…

8:12 I will cast terror into the hearts of those who have disbelieved, so strike them over the necks, and smite over all their fingers and toes.

9:29. Fight against those who believe not in Allah, nor in the Last Day, nor forbid that which has been forbidden by Allah and His Messenger and those who acknowledge not the religion of truth (i.e. Islam) among the people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians), until they pay the Jizya with willing submission, and feel themselves subdued.

9:33. It is He {Allah} Who has sent His Messenger (Muhammad) with guidance and the religion of truth (Islam), to make it superior over all religions even though the Mushrikun (polytheists, pagans, idolaters, disbelievers in the Oneness of Allah) hate (it).

What? This isn’t the Islam I was told about by Obama and the experts at all! Fighting, killing and domination, supposedly the literal commands of God!?  Why, that would mean the words are eternal, unchanging…

But stay on the path… Let’s keep watching, it’s not just about the words. Surely they were taken out of context…

Wait… What’s this?  Raids on caravans? A battle at Badr? More raids on different tribes?  Battle after battle… And new revelations endorsing this, killing the vanquished, deceit and treachery, taking sex slaves and booty!

We saw other tribes exiled by Muhammad, but now, after his victory at Medina, we can hardly believe our eyes!  Muhammad ordering the beheading of hundreds of men from the Bani Quraiza!  The Muslims cheering and beheading them in huge groups. Muhammad himself setting the chief example! All the blood and carnage… Unbelievable! It’s like ISIS times twenty!

…

Returning to our own time, we look around at the Islamic State, Boko Haram, Al Qaeda, the Taliban. We see the beheadings, the taking of captives, the slavery, the booty. We see thousands of Muslims from Europe and North America, Australia and Central Asia, flocking to join the Islamic State. We see the persecution of non-Muslims in Indonesia (which President Obama told us is modern and moderate!), Malaysia (another moderate Islamic country!), Egypt, Turkey…

And we hear and read of them justifying what they’re doing using the Quran itself…

Why, this is exactly what we saw and heard being commanded in our time travel back to Muhammad’s day. This is exactly what Muhammad did and preached!  The Islamic State IS Islamic!

…

No matter how often we check our boots, there is no dead butterfly crushed in the treads, no alternate blame to be laid on some shift in the timeline, nor on the forces of nature or even “human-caused global warming.”

The causes of “violent extremism” — Alas! — are now clear to us after seeing it with our own eyes. It is Muhammad himself who set all this in motion, fourteen centuries ago. It is Muhammad’s own example and the words he claimed were from God which devout Muslims today are following.

Of course, there is no time travel in the literal sense of the word. But our hypothetical journey to the seventh century in search of the Butterfly Effect was based entirely upon the Quran and the life of Muhammad as collected by his followers and as set down by his earliest biographer, Ibn Ishaq. Islam’s own revered texts provide the Way-Back machine, the lens into the past, which reveals to us the prophet and what he was like.

Sorry, Mr. Obama, you almost had us fooled, but no more. Sure, maybe the weather can impact human societies, but now we have seen with our own eyes the real cause of Islam’s war against the world.

And now we know it is Muhammad and the Quran.

And the sound we hear all around us… a sound of thunder.

Climate change will not be the ‘serious threat to global security’ going forward. The issue to watch: Israel.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan called for the “liberation of Jerusalem” Monday in a speech celebrating 562 years since the Turks captured Constantinople.

Speaking before millions and just one week before parliamentary elections, Erdoğan stated “Conquest is Mecca, conquest is Saladin, it’s to hoist the Islamic flag over Jerusalem again; conquest is the heritage of Mehmed II and conquest means forcing Turkey back on its feet.”

Things are about to heat up!

Absolutely. I read his speech. He thinks he is the *one* to re-take the city holy to the Jewish people.

They are both problems to our world – i am not sure about climate change – but pollution is a big problem and it is ruining our health and enviorment whatever the climate changes or not –

israel is another issue – of course israel fate =westren world fate

both big problems in their own right

Lies are being told and unfortunately, the lies are louder than the truth written here. Such is the way of things and the evil power of satan.

Unfortunately, (With the comments made by the Turkish President and the instability in the Middle East), you can see Ezekiel 38 & 39 unfolding before our eyes. Israel is about to feel the squeeze.

      • somehistory says

        Jun 1, 2015 at 9:22 pm

True, but it isn’t Israel in those verses that is most profoundly beaten. Israel, according to what Ezekiel was told to write, has Divine help in the matter that is coming.

Oh Absolutely! I agree 100%. I’m just saying that what is about to unfold will “surround Israel.” Yet God is faithful! He will once again reveal Himself to His people….

The burden of the word of the LORD concerning Israel. {Thus} declares the LORD who stretches out the heavens, lays the foundation of the earth, and forms the spirit of man within him,

“Behold, I am going to make Jerusalem a cup that causes reeling to all the peoples around; and when the siege is against Jerusalem, it will also be against Judah.

“It will come about in that day that I will make Jerusalem a heavy stone for all the peoples; all who lift it will be severely injured. And all the nations of the earth will be gathered against it.

“In that day, declares the LORD, “I will strike every horse with bewilderment and his rider with madness. But I will watch over the house of Judah, while I strike every horse of the peoples with blindness.”

“Then the clans of Judah will say in their hearts, `A strong support for us are the inhabitants of Jerusalem through the LORD of hosts, their God.’

“In that day I will make the clans of Judah like a firepot among pieces of wood and a flaming torch among sheaves, so they will consume on the right hand and on the left all the surrounding peoples, while the inhabitants of Jerusalem again dwell on their own sites in Jerusalem.

“The LORD also will save the tents of Judah first, so that the glory of the house of David and the glory of the inhabitants of Jerusalem will not be magnified above Judah.

“In that day the LORD will defend the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and the one who is feeble among them in that day will be like David, and the house of David {will be} like God, like the angel of the LORD before them.

“And in that day I will set about to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem.

“I will pour out on the house of David and on the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the Spirit of grace and of supplication, so that they will look on Me whom they have pierced; and they will mourn for Him, as one mourns for an only son, and they will weep bitterly over Him like the bitter weeping over a firstborn.”

          Zechariah 12:1-10

I read it twice and found no mention of the 246 abrogations.

Mr. Sidway is fully aware that there are contradictory verses in the Koran but I have the impression that he is completely unaware of the existence of the 246 koranic abrogations, approved by muslim “scholars”, that repeal or nullify the less nasty verses.

Things would become clearer to even the most naïve westerner if an edition of the koran was made available that had each abrogated verse clearly identified with a rule-out line, to be immediately followed by the abrogating verse IN FULL.

Until something like that happens many well-meaning people will continue to be deceived by muslims, and their non-muslim progressive supporters, who quote verses like: “To you be your religion, and to me my religion (Islam)” without mentioning (in the case of muslims) or knowing (in the case of progressives) that this was one of the civilized verses abrogated by the verse of the sword.

Until that happens the ongoing deceit practiced by muslims, with the support of their pro muslim western dupes, will thrive and prosper.

        http://www.koran-at-a-glance.com

Perhaps another page with abrogated verses could be highlighted in due course.

But then there are so many possible themes to be found in the accursed book, for instance:

        1. Mohammed is always on the cadge from his followers – “he who uses his wealth in the cause of Allah ” etc

        2. Mohammed moving from Allah’s slave and warner at the beginning to getting equal billing by the end – “Obey Allah and his apostle…” etc

        3. The constant juxtaposition of assurances of Allah’s mercy etc with the ferocious threats of eternal torture. There used to be a “double bind” theory in psychology, now out of fashion I think, which suggested that schizophrenia was caused by contradictory messages from the parent figure. I don’t say that all Muslims grow up to be schizophrenic but this sort of thing can’t be doing them any good!

Brilliant and funny article, by the way Mr Sidway.

My first reaction to his statement on climate change is that here is a roaring mediocrity who is trying desperately to apply a concept he understands to a situation he doesn’t understand.

Granted Obama has some advisers like Valerie Jarrett who, however evil they may be, seem to at least understand the issues. They’re simply acting consciously against the interests of the United States.

There is nothing I can see to indicate that Obama himself has any special talents, other than an eternal willingness to act in the interests of Muslims. When it’s one Muslim against another, as in the case of the conflict of interest between Iran and Saudi Arabia on nuclear weapons, he has no particular guiding philosophy except the path of least resistance.

I remember the case of the arrest of Henry Louis Gates, the black historian, who was arrested for breaking into his house and refusing to answer the questions of the police. The police dropped charges. Obama jumped into the controversy by making a statement off the cuff, without knowing what he was talking about. I remember hearing him, and being amazed at such stupid behavior. But, the truth is, Obama himself is not particularly competent, either in policy, in detail, or even in politics.

The government’s pursuit of climate change and such fantasies as a carbon market, are part of a program with two objectives: the advance of corporate fascism, and the dissolution of American social structures and the American economy.

The Meccan (allegedly peaceful) Koran is full of statements about how Allah has hidden the truth from the kaffirs, how the kaffirs will never believe what the Muslims believe and are destined by Allah for Hell. Even though Mohammed does not threaten to take matters into his own hands, he’s not being kind or respectful to the kaffirs. He’s saying, in essence and in context, that the unbelievers are *hopeless* in their disbelief and doomed to Hell. Fodder for the fire. The lowest of the low.

It’s in the Meccan Koran that we learn of how on the Last Day the Muslims will lounge on luxurious couches, feasting on fruit and wine, being adored by beautiful virgins, while watching the unbelievers suffer horrendous tortures in Hell. *The Muslims will be mocking and jeering at the sufferers* in repayment for the kaffirs’ having mocked and jeered at the Muslims faith before the judgment day. Love thine enemy? None of that in this holy book.

The Meccan part of the Koran is “tolerant” only in that Allah/Mohammad is not yet saying that it’s time to kill or enslave these worthless people, these ‘worst of creatures’. But even the seemingly more benign verses, such as “To you be your religion, and to me my religion…” in full context, make a logical prelude to what is yet to come. The seeds of hatred and contempt have been sown. The reaping will come later.

the statement that there is no compulsion in religion refers to people who are already in a state of subjection. They are not to be compelled to convert. If they were forced to convert then they wouldn’t be paying the special jizya taxes that infidels had to pay that enriched Islamic coffers. There is actually historical evidence that such an incentive to not convert the infidel existed. Bernard Lewis in his book The Arabs in History p70 wrote:

The disposal of by the Arab ruling caste of vast sums of money helped the growth of a new class — the _Mawâlî_ (singular _Mawlâ_). A Mawlâ was any Muslim who was not a full member by descent of any Arab tribe. … The Mawâlî … as Muslims were theoretically the equals of the Arabs, and claimed social and economic equality with them. This equality was never fully conceded by the Arab aristocracy during the Umayyad period. While some Mawâlî landowners did succeed in obtaining a Muslim rate of tax assessment by their services to the new regime, the majority failed, and by the time of `Abd al-Malik the Muslim government actually resorted to discouraging conversion and driving the Mawâlî from the towns back to their fields in order to restore the failing revenues of the state.”

(A “Muslim rate of tax assessment” was of course a lower rate.)

A Jizya paying infidel was considered a very valuable commodity. After the conquest of Alexandria, Caliph Omar received word from his general describing the wealth they had just attained (From Time Immemorial):

I have captured a city from the description of which I shall refrain. Suffice it to say that I have seized therein 4,000 villas with 4,000 baths, 40,000 poll-tax paying Jews and four hundred places of entertainment for the royalty.”

I am a scientist, atheist and anti-jihadist. It is distressing to see the scientifically illiterate conflating concern for climate change with complacency over Islamic jihad. Anthropogenic climate change is as real as militant Islamic expansionism, both are major threats to the civilised world and the former is likely to exacerbate the latter. Furthermore, the Islamic Sharia system might well prove to be more robust in a post-industrial world in which law and order have broken down. It is vital that the free world recognises and deals with both problems, rather than hoping that they will blow over if ignored for long enough. They won’t, and time is being wasted by bickering.

I have to confess, sometimes I too am frightened by the change in temperature and shudder that Obama is using it to create a atmosphere of submission to islam..but my rational mind says that big changes have happened ….in history. I am not a scientist, but have seen a connection between volcanic activity and cool weather even in summer. So I am hoping for a warmer summer but not so far…as it is very cool. I have read about the magnetic pole changes and wonder if a flip is about to happen..How could we be so lucky to have a leader with muslim inclinations to be here to tell us not to worry about our enemy jihadist threat (nothing to do with islam) but about impending doom from the weather channel.
