Meanwhile, the craven and feckless U.S. bishops stand by and say nothing and do nothing about this, because they’re afraid to harm their chimerical and self-defeating charade of “dialogue” with Muslim leaders in the West, whose “dialogue” consists of slyly packaged dawah that the bishops are too addled by politically correct willful blindness to notice. In fact, it’s even worse than that: not only are the U.S. bishops standing by silently in the face of this persecution; they’re also working actively to silence those voices that are speaking up about it and calling it what it is. As such, they bear as much responsibility for the ruined lives of these Christians as their persecutors.
“100,000 Christian displaced from Mosul, says official,” by Abdelhak Mamoun, Iraq News, June 10, 2015 (thanks to The Religion of Peace):
(IraqiNews.com) Dohuk – Nineveh Provincial Council member Anwar Mata announced on Wednesday, that more than 100 thousand Christians have been displaced from Mosul and Nineveh Province, while 20 thousand others have fled the country.
Mata said in an interview for IraqiNews.com, “more than 120 thousand Christians displaced from Mosul and Nineveh after ISIS control on Mosul,” noting that, “about 20 thousand of them have migrated Iraq since last year.”
“The lack of interest of the federal government towards the displaced Christians pushed them to migrate outside the country,” noting that, “the psychological and moral damage was greater than the loss of their money and property as a result of ISIS occupation of Mosul.” Mata added.

We are seeing a repeat of the Armenian genocide, an event when Muslims slaughtered Christians, and an event that the west ignored then as well as now. This will be more of the same, and the west will turn a blind eye. Obama is clearly pro Islam and anti Christian, and will do everything to assist the most radical of Muslims, but will not lift a finger to assist Christians.
To even discuss the reality that Muslims are butchering Christians is somehow deemed by the left to be Islamophobic.
Gary says
Now now Richie….. “Lest we get on our high horse and think this is unique to some other place, remember during the Crusades and the Inquisition, people committed terrible deeds in the name of Christ. In our home country, slavery and Jim Crow all too often was justified in the name of Christ.”
Richie says
your reaction to the reality of Islamic oppression of Christians is to attack Christianity?
Gary says
No. I was pointing out just how correct you are. The above quote was from Obama as the keynote speaker during the past National Day of Prayer. He arrogantly attacks Christians about something that happened hundreds of years ago, (The Crusades), while Christians are currently being slaughtered by muslims. You are ABSOLUTELY CORRECT! Obama IS pro-Islam and anti-Christian.
Gary says
No Richie, I was pointing out just how correct you are! The above quote was made by Obama as the keynote speaker during the National Day of Prayer. He arrogantly attacks Christians for something that happened hundreds of years ago…(The Crusades), while muslims are currently slaughtering Christians. You are ABSOLUTELY CORRECT! Obama Is pro-Islam and anti-Christian.
Gary says
And to point out just how wrong Obama’s comments were……
The Crusades were in response to muslims butchering/slaughtering village and town after town. Christians were defending themselves!
I don’t think we can ever expect the current Administration to come to the aid of Christians today.
2017 can’t come soon enough!!
Gary says
And lest Obama get on his high horse……
The Crusades were in response to hundreds of years of muslim butchering and slaughtering of village after village. Town after town.
So you are so correct!
We can never expect the current Administration to come to the aid of Christians worldwide.
2017 can’t come soon enough!

My apologies Gary, I didn’t see you were quoting Obama

The crusades were a defensive response to 300+ years of Muslim aggression against the Byzantine Empire and maltreatment of Christian pilgrims, and the Spanish inquisition, which killed fewer than 2,000 people, fewer than were killed on September 11, was based on a policy that the Muslim rulers of Spain had previously used to root out insincere conversions to Islam from Christianity and Judaism. After Christians reconquered Spain, the new rulers were interested in rooting out insincere conversions to Christianity from Islam and Judaism. Look it up.
Peggy says
Are you saying that this is all payback? For what? Daring to defend Christianity against Islam?
You are a pathetic little worm.
Peggy says
So sorry, i just saw that you were quoting a Jihadist (Obama). Maybe you should’ve started with “in the words of the lowlife Jihadist Obama…..”
Again, apologies from me.
Gary says
No apology needed. You’re right, I should have stated it was a quote from _________ (fill in the blank)
I was as pissed as you when I saw him give the speech… Attacking Christians and victimizing muslims – while they carry out their atrocities!
…And during the National Prayer Breakfast of all places. (For the most part, traditionally a Judeo-Christian event)
I wonder how he would be received if he gave a speech attacking muslims during Ramadan. But we all know that would never happen. “The future does not belong to those who would…. bla bla bla” (You know.. “THE PROPHET”)

I greatly respect you Robert, but saying that U.S. bishops “bear as much responsibility for the ruined lives of these Christians as their persecutors” is over the top. It would be more accurate to say that they bear much of the responsibility for the ruined lives of these Christians. That is bad enough.

The world of today simply does not care about the plight of Christians being slaughtered in Muslim lands. Sadly, the world of today considers such people expendable.
Stupid sympathty for Islam, antipathty towards Christianity, tyrants aplenty running one country after another, excessive emphasis on profits to the exclusion of everything else (and I am a capitalist but it is imperative that a proper morality infuses capitalism just as it is imperative that it infuses democracy—–neither capitalism nor democracy should exist in a moral vacuum) and international organizations like the UN that want to fault a nation like Israel for human rights abuses while looking the other way respecting the existence (actually non-existence) of rights in a country lke Saudi Arabia, all add up to a guarantee that the world at large does’t give a damn if Christians are being butchered by Muslims. Of course, were it the other way around (which it would never be of course) the feces would hit the fan and the world would be in full sympathy mode, crying a river, for those spiritual fascists who go by the name of “Muslim.”
I’m not an existentialist, a la Camus and all that, but, Holy Hell, it is difficult at times not to conclude that life is aburd. And yes, meanwhile, per Obama the EU and Pope Francis, the real danger confronting mankind is climate change. Chrisitans being slaughtered by Muzzies? Oh please, this is not a real issue. See what I mean?

Great post, and I think its cowardice of the west. People seem more concerned with not offending Muslims than saving Christians who are being butchered
Cecilia Ellis says
Richie said, “I think its cowardice of the west. People seem more concerned with not offending Muslims than saving Christians who are being butchered.”
Absolutely correct! I would even take it one step further: The Church has relinquished its role as a moral standard. Christianity remains, despite Islam’s efforts to kill every one of its members, the largest religious affiliation in the world . . . at least for now. Yet, the world, including the Christian world, remains dedicated to a strategy of kowtowing to Muslim lies and sensitivities. Most notably, the U. S. Bishops have relentlessly chanted a quest-for-dialogue litany that belies their complete failure to recognize that the people, the ones having their heads severed, are the Church. The bishops, indeed, have lost their conscience while their brothers and sisters have lost their heads.
Here is the proof: Bishop Robert McManus, of Worcester, Massachusetts, has said, “Talk about extreme, militant Islamists and the atrocities that they have perpetrated globally might undercut the positive achievements that we Catholics have attained in our inter-religious dialogue with devout Muslims.”
“Devout Muslims” are the ones killing Christians (Catholics and Protestants), Jews, and non-Muslims around the world. Neither asking for nor interested in dialogue, devout Muslims imitate Muhammad in every possible way. They follow the Quranic mandates to kill violently and mercilessly, not to mention the various other atrocities available for emulation. Less-than-devout Muslims merely treasure the same Quranic texts and hadith, but exercise the equally destructive norms of taqiyyah, supremacy, shariah, etc. No politically correct verbiage can change that fact. We are at war with Islam; dialogue is preposterous. Dialogue with evil is a lie.

The unwarranted foreign policies of President Barak Hussein Obama are the cause of all the unrest in the Middle East. Americans should understand that Obama’s foreign policies are designed to serve and protect Israel only. The American government is obligated to interfere in Iraq, for they were the source of this upheaval situation, at the same token, America and the Europeans should stop supporting, financing and arming the terrorist and radical Muslims in Syria and Iraq. You should always remember that 9/11 was carried out by an Islamic terrorist group, the same group that you are supporting now.
Richie says
“You should always remember that 9/11 was carried out by an Islamic terrorist group, the same group that you are supporting now.”
Quite true, but Muslims and their leftist allies like to blame 9/11 on the Jews or George Bush, and anything to paint the Muslims as victims

You wrote – “The unwarranted foreign policies of President Barak Hussein Obama are the cause of all the unrest in the Middle East (really? so all that jihad and the Sunni Shiite split that is playing out in murderous warfare and the Muslim beheadings of Christian kids wouldn’t be happening if it weren’t for the wicked/ stupid Americans? But that sh*t started happening in the 7th century, 1000 years before there even *was* an “America” – dda). Americans should understand that Obama’s foreign policies are designed to serve and protect Israel only. ”
And in your opinion protecting Israel is eeeeevil? Just throw them to the Muslims to kill, that’s the ticket, just what those eeeevil Jooooz had comin’ to ’em? Is *that* what *you* want? The destruction of the only decent polity in the entire ‘middle east’? Abandon the Jews to be eaten up by the Jihad? But Obama seems to me to be doing that *anyway*….he’s certainly doing nothing to stop Iran’s nuke project, which project seems to me to have the clear and focused aim of annihilating Israel.
Furthermore, I haven’t encountered any even-partly-Islamoaware *Israelis* who think Obama has or has ever had their best interests at heart; rather the reverse. My own perception of what’s going on is that every decision Obama has made wrt the “Middle East” or dar al Islam has rendered things *more* dangerous for Israel, not less.

Many of Obama’s policies are very, very bad—but the idea that Islam was not a threat before Obama was elected in 2008 is simply grotesque—9/11, Beslan, the Madrid train bombings, the London bombings of 7/7, and many other Jihad terror attacks happened *long* before Obama was ever elected.
Moreover, the idea that Obama—the president who has shown the least support of Israel of any American president—is acting purely on Israel’s behalf is ludicrous.

What crap. Islam has been increasingly resurgent over the past several decades, and much of this much predates any US involvement in Iraq.
Are you claiming that Muslim violence in Nigeria, Bangladesh, Indonesia, and Israel was all due to American involvement in Iraq? Ludicrous.

We can but try.
We – Christians, and anyone else who cares about the human rights of persecuted, oppressed non-Muslims of any kind who are trapped under the Muslim boot – *can* write letters to our heads of state and elected representatives and people in charge of immigration and foreign affairs and we can demand, briefly, pointedly, that our immigration-and-refugee intakes should give *absolute* priority to people like the Assyrian Christians of Mosul. Who are an indigenous people being subjected to outright genocide. And who if admitted to our countries will *not* turn round and bite us; who will assimilate and integrate and *never* plot to chop off heads or blow sh*t up. There are Assyrian Christian – as also Coptic Christian – emigre communities of long standing in many parts of the non-Muslim world; in Australia, the USA, Canada, and some European countries – and they are causing NO trouble.
I would rather that Australia took in *all 100 000* Christians from Mosul, than that we took in even *one* more Muslim from anywhere.
If we are *Christian* then we have to just keep on asking our religious leaders to speak up on behalf of the Assyrian Christians…and on behalf of *other* persecuted Christians – and, for good measure, other persecuted non-Muslims of whatever sort – who are currently trapped within the dar al Islam. Christians like those of Pakistan.
We can keep an eye open for the protests held and lobbying campaigns conducted by emigre communities such as the Pakistani Christians in Britain (check out the website of the British Pakistani Christian Association) or the Australian Coptic Movement Association – and Assyrian Christians in Australia are also piping up, I’m not sure what the emigre Assyrians are doing in other countries – and, whether we are Christian or not, we can JOIN them; we can go to their rallies and protests so that our politicians see that there are Votes involved, we can sign their petitions and join their letter-writing campaigns.

===================
Absolutely. You import one Muslim and he will go on and convert an Australian girl and have 10 kids with her and before you know it they would multiply at an alarming rate.
That’s why we must vote for parties like One Nation, Australian Chrstians etc. There are new parties, one has sprung up from The Q Society of Australia as well we can vote for. Too many Aussies vote for the main parties which is a disaster for this country.

Liberals, especially those in academia, love to put down the people of the middle ages as irrational. I believe 500 to 1000 years from now, if the world then were not to be under Islamic or some other authoritarian regime, the people will look on the people of our time as irrational too, just like some of us do of the dark ages. Ironically, it is the liberals who are the irrational ones today.

The United States bishops, the Pope, even the many Protestant leaders in the USA is not enough.
We really do need a Christian President who believes in helping oppressed Christians around the world (and other victims of Muslim oppression) in allowing them to come to the United States.
And to absolutely once and for all PROHIBIT any more Muslim immigrants into the United States of America.
