Turkish authorities recently shut down Christian schools belonging to the Association of Churches of Jerusalem. Schools in several districts of the southeastern city of Gaziantep, where many refugees from Syria had fled, and in three other regions, were closed. Although providing much needed humanitarian relief, the Christian schools were found giving Bible and other Christian literature to their refugee students, many of whom come from Muslim backgrounds.

Here we go again…what part of don’t proselytize Christianity
Don’t these types understand?!?…good for Turkey..and don’t

Converting from Islam to Christianity is very islamic, see:
Paul says
It’s not Islam, it’s Muhammadanism, the worship and emulation
of a man who married a six-year old girl. The ‘prophet’ occupies
a much higher place than in the minds of Muhammadans than
the figment of his perverted and bloodthirsty mind, ‘Allah’. That’s
why they react much more aggressively if someone makes fun
of their psychopathic and child raping hero, as opposed to their
pagan rock god.
Here’s a nice little video to warm your twisted little heart :
Paul says
And this, in the very birthplace of Muhammadanism.

Ah, quite the pickle you’re in, DM. IS, which you openly support, claims to be the legitimate caliphate. But Erdogan seems hellbent on having the seat of the caliphate back on Turkey, as it was before Attaturk.
You can’t serve two masters, DM. What’s it going to be: Turkey or IS?
Tammy Eaton says
And Islam is so tolerant? Where is the tolerance? Oh yea, I forgot, Muhammad wasn’t tolerant so therefore you aren’t tolerant.

Sabri, which authority ordered, “Don’t proselytise Christianity”? A secular state should certainly not have made any such ruling. And Turkey is supposed to be secular. It has no business stopping the proselytization of Christianity or of anything else.

Very illustrative of the fact that muslims in truth, don’t really give a damn about their own, despite all the cynical rhetoric about ‘victims’ – the Christian schools are providing **humanitarian relief to muslims**, but because they’re also handing out Bibles, that’s a reason to shut them down. Excellent example of islamic ‘humanitarianism’.
It also illustrates, as graven has often pointed out, that the majority of humanitarian relief in the ME, and other muslim areas, is actually provided by the ‘wicked infidels’, **not** muslims. Their ‘zakat’ is primarily intended for furthering jihad.

Erdogan is dreaming of a New Kalifate and the conquest of Jerusalem. Allowing Christians into that future is haram in his mind.
John Sobieski says
So Turkey is shutting down churches and Christian schools in Turkey. Mean while Turkey just funded and built a $100,000.000 mosque and Islamic center in Lanham MD. President Obama was at the mosque to help Erdogan lay the corner stone. Turks hate religious freedom in Turkey but love it in the US.

Secular Turkey enforces Sharia law.
But if a ‘Christian’ school hadn’t any Christian literature in it, how ‘Christian’ would that school be? It would a ‘secular’ school, wouldn’t it?
Lucretius says
The religiously proclaimed horrors of Syria have been a great teaching moment for the greatly suffering more peaceably minded Muslims, opening many to the Christian faith, as this article shows:

To Lucretius- Thank you, thank you, thank you for posting that Dec 2014 article from Christian Aid Mission. I made a tithe gift just today to ACERO (Assyrian Church of the East Relief Organization) and I will further explore the Christian Aid Mission for future tithing. All Christians and Jews are instructed to tithe, in the last book of the Old Testament, Malachi 3:8-10. Here is the procedure: 1. Give God tithes (10%) and offerings to TEST Him! 2. Then God will prove to those who give, that God will pour out a large blessing. 3. The person who gave will not have room enough for God’s gift. Again, thank you Lucretius for this Holy Ghost inspired writing.

That is good news. I hope more Syrians convert to Christianity, as Islam has completely destroyed their country (with the help of ISIS and Hezbollah)

What is so surprising about Islamic country coming down hard on Christian proselytisers?
I mean, what the f*ck are they doing handing out bibles?
Just do your “humanitarian” job and shut your fundie, foreign religious trap!
Down with Islamism! Down with the “Moral” Majority! Down with fundies of every stripe!
Kimber says
You just don’t get it – They are CHRISTIAN “humanitarians” and as such it IS part of their job to speak GOD’s word. How else do you find those who are hungering and thirsting for GOD’s truth; a good Christian accepts “no thank you” and moves on the next person. A Christian also shakes the dust from their feet as witness against those who violently oppose peaceful proselytizing and moves on to people who do want to know GOD. Have a blessed day.

So……comfort, food, water, shelter….all provided free if charge to people who have indeed been through hell by Christians that actually CARE about them….Their own have caused the hell ish world they have evaded for now….and the source of spiritual comfort is denied them…..I think a special corner of hell has been reserved just for these murdering raping animals.

The suppression of bibles is consistent with the near obliteration the regions Christian heritage which once thrived in the territory of the nation of Turkey.
