Jihad Watch

Exposing the role that Islamic jihad theology and ideology play in the modern global conflicts

Ireland: Muslim rally against the Islamic State draws…50 people

Jul 26, 2015 1:06 pm By Robert Spencer

Muslim antiISIS protestWe are constantly told that the vast majority of Muslims are moderates who abhor and reject jihad terrorism. Yet this is not the first time this has happened. Contrast this turnout to the thousands of Muslims who turn out for rallies against cartoons of Muhammad or against Israel. But given a chance to show how Muslims overwhelmingly reject “extremism,” only a handful show up.

Chechnya: 800,000 Muslims protest Muhammad cartoons; protests also in Iran, Pakistan, Ingushetia, elsewhere

Australia: 1,000 Muslims rally against Charlie Hebdo and the freedom of speech

Pakistan: 10,000 Muslims protest against Charlie Hebdo’s Muhammad cartoons

Kyrgyztsan: 1,000 Muslims rally: “I am not Charlie, I love my Prophet.”

“Around 50 people take part in ‘Not in Our Name’ demonstration,” RTE News, July 26, 2015:

Up to 50 people took part in a rally organised by the Irish Muslim Peace and Integration Council to protest over the actions of the so-called Islamic State.

The demonstrators gathered on Dublin’s O’Connell Street to distance Islam from the group, and show that it is a peaceful religion.

The “Not in Our Name” demonstration was organised in the wake of last month’s terrorist attack in Tunisia which killed 38 people, including three Irish citizens.

Organisers say it is believed to be the first protest of its kind held in Ireland.

Look at the smug face of that piece of shit holding the sign that reads:

“Foreign policy and injustice are prime motivators for radicalization”

What a charade! This isn’t an “anti-ISIS” march, they’re the same Muslim supremacists deflecting attention away from the only, and only, motivator behind ISIS: Islam! They don’t even dissimulate as anyone can read that sign very well, ISIS at least are being honest, they don’t hide their Islamic motivation, these pieces of shit are.

      Charade?

I bet you these are Ahmadis whose neo-prophets rejected violence in the 1890s. They usually MISREPRESENT themselves as the SUNNITE MAINSTREAM. That usually misleads journalists who have virtually NO ACQUAINTANCE with Islam WHATSOEVER and who are sent to report on a topic WAY OVER THEIR HEADS by CLUELESS EDITORS.

Megyn Kelly likes to bring Ahmadis on to “be fair and balanced.” whenever a guest is needed to counter a guest with a negative view of Islam. She is good on a lot of subjects but surprisingly clueless on this one.

Look at the smug face of that piece of shit holding the sign that reads…

Well put. Couldn’t have said it better myself.

Foreign policy and injustice are prime motivators for radicalization.

The theory is obviously bullsheet, but in the young Moslem’s hands is bullsheet wrapped within a bullsheet: radical compared to what? Aren’t so-called terrorists actually at the mainstream of Islamic doctrine, and are only differentiated by taking action on the scriptures? Doesn’t Allah command terrorism? Didn’t he level that command centuries before white guys showed up in Arabia? Isn’t the Sunnah about emulating a guy who said he was made victorious by terror?

Oh yes, Islam is a puzzle nested within a mystery alright.

One wonders whether the smug young Iro-Moslemo left those salient facts off the sign because it woulda made it too busy, too hard to understand.

What foreign policy of Ireland? They are ANTI-ISRAEL, PRO-PALESTINIAN. (Although,as one Irishman mentioned, the Muslims, if they think anything of the Irish, probably that they are all drunks–forgot what blog I saw this on, but was after an Irish BDS rally, or similar anti_Israel demonstration).

      And Tunisia? And Turkey?

      Right-all BS

Yep. And we should stop being surprised, and stop expecting Muslims to behave any differently. Then we can proceed, with a clearer eye, with the more important (if not vital) concern of defending our societies from Muslims. I don’t see the Counter-Jihad united on this particular matter; but rather straggling along with an incoherent platform predicated in part on an anxious need to exempt Muslims qua Muslims (i.e., qua admirers and defenders of the loathsomely and perniciously indefensible Muhammad, Allah, Koran, and Islam) from our suspicion and opprobrium.

      Cahbuco/Alarmed P.F.

As an amateur photo hog, I have do disagree with you on the “smug expression” as proof they’re insincere.

As example, that is exactly the type of smile a blind person makes. With no visual cues, they don’t know that it’s the eyes that quantify a smile as genuine, or smug, or sarcastic, etc.

Poorly shot photos are even purposely used to smear, making people look dumb or evil. John McCain was the victim of one such photo shoot for the cover of a magazine during his presidential run, so the kid’s expression could have been an accident, or from nervousness, or anything.

Truth be told I just don’t think most kids that young have the life experiences to pull that kind expression off for the camera because, if you know how to make it, you DARN sure have enough brains to know you never let the expression be photographed. You save the evil eyed look for when you’re certain there are no witnesses.

      That being said however…

The simple fact that only 50 people showed up for this, is proof of one of two things:

      1. “Moderate” Muslims basically don’t exist and this is just another example of taqiyya.

And 2. So called “Moderate” Mulsims know first hand how rabid their radicals can be, and if 15% of Muslims are radicalized, then 1 in 6 of everybody they know will at the very least rat them out to the Islam version of the Gestapo.

There are plenty of people wouldn’t trust to know my private thoughts, but at least it’s not 1 in 6, and even of the jerks I know, at least thus far I don’t know any who sympathize with psycho nut jobs, and wold turn me over to them for voicing opposition.

No matter though, this turnout is proof the radicals are entrenched, and in control.

Until Muslims start turning in friends and family and neighbors, and Imams and leaders, whom they know have vocalized sympathy for ISIS and such ilk, (Which means basically a minimum 5% of the Muslim population in the entire world should be in jail or facing execution by now.) then we unfortunately we have no option other than to believe they helpless at best, or lying at worst.

As someone who has had and used cameras since I was less than 4 feet tall, and grew up in a house with a dark room in the basement…. I disagree about the facial expression…. Yes, it is a smirk, due to him thinking he is being ‘clever’, and we are all so stupid we will fall for the line of bloody rubbish on his little sign…. If you can find a large enough numbers of pictures from the deep south, when it WAS really racist…. the facial expressions on the racist kids was a learned imitation of the facial expressions of their racist elders….

He is smirking, he thinks he’s clever…. He is wrong.

And you could very well be right on that.

What I meant to say, was that you can”t be 100% sure, based on a picture alone.

That being said however, given the track record, even if the kid told me what he was thinking, and provided other corroboration, I would never be 100% convinced I wasn’t being played.

      You’re right of course.
Today every terrorist has one thing in common. Islam. And most come from islamic homes where terrorists are called “martyrs”
I don’t often agree with Robert Fisk, the anti Israel jouro in the Independent newspaper.
But in yesterday’s edition he pointed out a terrible truth.
Historically, barbarians have often beaten and destroyed more advanced civilisation.
Right now, IS is an expanding state, & it is supported by those who agree with its ideas but claim to be our allies. Unless we take it much more seriously, IS will be recognised as a legitimate new state in the UN.
An utterly evil and destructive state like the Third Reich.
It is sheer racism to assume that a load of brown and black savages cannot be as powerful as a load of white savages.

It is interesting to note that one of the posters that protesters show is putting the blame for so-called radicalization on “foreign policy and injustice”. So a demonstration against the Islamic state is used to shift the blame to the West and away from muslims who are helpless creatures not being able to manage their business and have impact on their own environment. So those moderates are not real moderates either. The never-ending victimhood.

    • voegelinian says

Yep. And how much do you want to bet the other paltry few Muslims in attendance don’t agree that it’s not the fault of Islam but of the West. And probe them further with tough questions, and you will uncover their belief that ISIS is “really” the creation of CIA and Zionists.

A similar rally in Toronto in 2013, drew barely 2 dozen people. The organizers admitted that more than half who bothered to show up were white people, presumably not Muslims.

Quote: “Mighty but small, it was not quite the turnout the newly formed Progressive Muslims Institute Canada had in mind for their first rally, held last week. As one of the organizers mused with a chuckle, there were more white faces than brown in the crowd of roughly two dozen.”

15% of Muslims support all out terrorist groups. Another 20% are ‘soft-core’ jihad supporter. 35% are semi-apostate and couldn’t care less. The rest are spineless, careless quasi-Muslims. The hard core Muslims are jihadists and TERRORIZE and INTIMIDATE the other 85%.

So a 3-month-old baby is either killing people or lying about it? No other chance, right?

How about the cases of people who converted to islam because they bought hook, line and sinker into dawah like “muhammad was a champion of women’s rights” and left after they studied the texts and learned what islam actually thought? Did they kill someone in the process? Did they lie about it?

As usual, all questions for which you don’t have a cogent, concise answer for. But questioning your words is sacrilege – we need to eat the chickenshit salad you give us and ask for seconds with a smile on our face, or else we’ll be on the receiving end of your propaganda machine.

Why doesn’t any other Jihad Watch reader call Angemon on his quibbling sophistry? This must be the 1000th instance of it he has pestered me with over the past couple of years in countless Jihad Watch comments threads. His quibbling is augmented by a mean-spirited lack of good faith, where he seizes on the literal purport of my words with a cruel exactitude, without any good faith forgiveness one accords to people whom one does not consider an enemy. Thus, when I said that all Muslims may be, in so many words, divided up into two demographics — those who are killing us and those who are lying about it — of course I exempted 3-month-old infants who can neither kill nor lie.

Why don’t you go and prove why what I say is sophistry? Why don’t you say to my face that I’m wrong because such and such instead of setting up strawmen to an invisible 3rd party and hope they pity you enough to defend what you don’t want, or can’t be bothered, to?

“This must be the 1000th instance of it he has pestered me with over the past couple of years in countless Jihad Watch comments threads.”

          OK, three things:

1 – By “pestering” you mean “criticized”. It’s a departure from you usual term (“attack”), but still doesn’t accurately describe reality.

2 – Again with the “past couple of years” thing? I’ve asked you, several times, to link back to any interaction between the two of us from anytime before July-August 2014. So it’s one year, at most – you may consider lack of basic math skills as a noteworthy attribute, but I don’t. So put up or retract your words.

3 – It’s funny that you complain about me “pestering” you when you go out of your way to single me out and misrepresent me. Heck, this is from today:

          http://www.jihadwatch.org/2015/07/raymond-ibrahim-why-muslim-rapists-prefer-blondes-a-history#comment-1275024

Always the victim, eh, voeg? Also, regarding the “1000th instance” thing: hyperbole much?

“His quibbling is augmented by a mean-spirited lack of good faith”

This is demonstrably false – I’ve always, ALWAYS been up for open discussion of ideas. You, on the other hand, insist on demanding others to stup to to defend you – you even went as fas as to badger people through email asking them to come to JW and peer-pressure myself and Philip Jihadski to stop criticizing you. If anyone here lacks good faith, that would be you, especially when regarding JW contributors, whom you regularly misrepresent in a quasi-criminal fashion as to make yourself look good by comparison:

          http://www.jihadwatch.org/2015/07/jihadi-john-flees-the-islamic-state#comment-1274017

“where he seizes on the literal purport of my words with a cruel exactitude”

Let me guess: what you actually said was not what you actually said, and you clearly meant something different than what you actually said. Semantic gymnastics may apply.

“without any good faith forgiveness one accords to people whom one does not consider an enemy.”

You made things quote clear: you are no friend of mine, and you drove that point home on the hundreds of posts where you misrepresent, smear and lie about me. For example, claiming I’m a pro-muslim troll:

          http://www.jihadwatch.org/2014/12/france-muslim-driver-ramming-pedestrians-while-screaming-allahu-akbar-was-absolutely-not-an-act-of-terrorism#comment-1165985

In that context, your implication that I think of you as an “enemy” reeks of projection. Especially, like I said, when I’ve always been available for open discussion. Not one or two time. Not some times. Not most of the times. Always. You, on the other hand, throw rocks and run away, hoping no one notices you or what you did – and I’m not just talking about what you’ve said of me or PJ here.

“Thus, when I said that all Muslims may be, in so many words, divided up into two demographics — those who are killing us and those who are lying about it — of course I exempted 3-month-old infants who can neither kill nor lie.”

Ah, so your unequivocal, unambiguous statement clearly didn’t meant what it unequivocally and unambiguously meant. But I don’t see you amending it. So where would that 3-month-old baby fall, now that your false dichotomy has been proven to be, well, false?

memo to Muslims in Ireland – please start using taqqiyah, you are allowed to lie to advance Islam. How difficult is it to follow your religion and get 1000 people together for a few hours and condemn ISIS?

just show up and say “yeah we condemn” wink wink

Sadily this never happens, I dont know why

I always appreciate the efforts of good people, but the turnout is very sad. I checked the hash tag in the photo above; so far, today, #notinourname has been used exactly 5 times.

ISIS REPRESENTS TRUE ISLAM: ISIS, an Islamic terrorist organization is now world famous after it unleashed a wave of terror in Iraq and Syria. Muslims apologetics have been quick to declare its activities as against Islam. It is unbelievable how much muslims lie to fool non-muslims in order to hide the evil of Islam. I challenge muslims to name EVEN A SINGLE cruel act of ISIS which is NOT supported by Islam. I will now provide reference to Islamic scriptures which support all the evil activities of ISIS (1) Female Genital Mutilation: [Sunan Abu Dawood 41.5251], [Sahih Muslim 3:684] (2) Forced conversion of non-muslims to Islam: [Quran 9:5] (3) Imposing Jizyah: [Quran 9:29] (4) Murdering people for refusing to convert to Islam: [Quran 9:29],[Quran 9:5] (5) Enslaving women and children for use as sex slaves: [Quran 33:26-27], [Quran 70:29-30], [Quran 23:5-6] (6) Selling enslaved women and children: [Ibn Ishaq, The Life of Muhammad, (translation A Guillaume), Oxford University Press, Karachi, 2004 imprint, p.465] (7) Destroying religious structures of other faiths: [Ibn Ishaq, The Life of Muhammad, (translation A Guillaume), Oxford University Press, Karachi, 2004 imprint, p.552, 562].

These muslims think non-muslims are fools who do not know these things. In fact, non-muslims know the evil truth about Islam more clearly than practicing muslims. Most muslims have never read their scriptures from cover to cover and rely on LIARS like Zakir Naik and semi-literate mullahs who misguide them by hiding the truth. ISIS is following Islam word by word as per the teachings of its evil founder Muhammad, who was a champion in all these activities.

In today’s issue of Irish Central, a despicable pro-sodomite Irish-American Internet rag, the number is given not as 50, but 300. I post there but they “moderate” (i.e. in true liberal fashion, they censor every post to make sure nothing telling contradicts their lies) all my comments. Anyone familiar with their policies knows one thing for certain about them: regardless of the issue, they distort and lie egregiously to make things look just peachy in the brave new Irish world of sodomite faux marriages and Mohammedan nonsense. Ireland is a lost cause both politically and morally, a nauseous cesspool in both realms.

Huh? Even if that’s the case, so what?

“I notice the stupid Taqiyya line comes up. I guess you lot forgot about St Peter who lied 3 times about knowing jesus.”

Once again, so what? Christians aren’t instructed to lie to non-Christians in order to advance their religion, unlike muslims.

Really “bob”, your moronic tu-quoquery gets you no traction here. Try loonwatch, they’ll gobble that crap down by the spoonful.

They also include the usual lie about the quran, misquoting a verse which is actually a command to Jews rather than Muslims.
