This is what I have been saying for well over a decade now: that Islamic jihadists use the texts and teachings of Islam to justify violence, and that condemnations by Muslim groups aren’t enough, when nothing is being done within Muslim communities to counter the jihadis’ appeal and prevent young Muslims from accepting their understanding of Islam. Will Nadim Koteich be denounced as a “racist,” “bigoted” “Islamophobe”?
“Lebanese Journalists Call To Recognize Connection Between Terrorism And Islam,” MEMRI, June 29, 2015 (thanks to Robert):
Nadim Koteich: The ISIS Murderers Belong To Islam, Rely On Islam’s Texts
The following are excerpts from an English version of Nadim Koteich’s article, published January 13, 2015 on the “Now Lebanon” website:[2]
“These killers are us. They are our religion at its most extreme. Condemnations are no longer sufficient. They were never enough in the first place, and they never bore any weight except as an entry point to more advanced steps.
“They are not enough, especially when what follows them amounts to no more than idiotic expressions suggesting that a crime like the Charlie Hebdo massacre is not an expression of ‘the true Islam.’ In an effort to divorce Islam from responsibility for other crimes, some have said that the Islamic State (ISIS), Jabhat al-Nusra, Asa’ib Ahl Al-Haqq, Hizbullah, Boko Haram, Somalia’s Al-Shabab, the Taliban, and hundreds of other armed groups also do not represent true Islam.
“So what is this true Islam that those who condemn crimes committed in the name of Islam are supposed to be bestowing upon us? Beyond condemnation, what confrontation with the criminals have the proponents of true Islam been engaged in since the defeat of the Mu’tazila – the defeat of rationality in Islam 1,100 years ago?
“Condemnation alone is not enough. The people from the Sunni camp of contemporary Islam who carried out the Charlie Hebdo massacre, the Pakistani school massacre before it, the massacres by ISIS in Syria and Iraq, the 9/11 attacks, and other atrocities all belong to the true Islam. The same applies to the people in the Shiite camp of contemporary Islam who kidnapped and killed foreign journalists in Beirut, and issued and renewed the fatwa that said the blood of British writer Salman Rushdie could be spilled. They are a central part of the true Islam and its many schools of jurisprudence.
“It doesn’t matter which Islamic text, whether it is Koranic or jurisprudential, or a text recounting the sayings of the Prophet Muhammad; the killers do not kill for nothing, they kill in the name of books, fatwas, ayahs, and age-old tradition. All of these things are inseparable parts of true Islam. They will remain Muslims as long as they pronounce the shahada and as long as the religious institution doesn’t dare to modernize the criteria for being a Muslim.
“These killers are us. They are our religion at its most extreme. They are our true Islam taken to its furthest extent, and they are not beyond the scripture. If the West says in one united voice ‘we are Charlie’ we should say ‘we are ISIS.’
“As Muslims, what should we do with Ayat as-Sayf, the fifth verse of Surat at-Tawbah, one of the last Koranic chapters delivered to the Prophet in the city of Medina, and thus of central importance with regard to the structure of Islamic rulings and the system for the relationship with the other? The ayah says: ‘Then, when the sacred months have passed, slay the idolaters wherever ye find them, and take them (captive), and besiege them, and prepare for them each ambush. But if they repent and establish worship and pay the poor-due, then leave their way free. Lo! God is Forgiving, Merciful.’
“With this in mind, was the ayah not instrumental in building Islam’s military glory? Didn’t Islam become a vast empire of might, dominion, high renown, money and power? Was this ayah not the central compass that directed the wars of the Muslims, from the preparations for the conquest of Mecca to jihadist pamphlet ‘The Neglected Duty,’ by Muhammad abd-al-Salam Faraj, one of the clearest and most dangerous pieces of jihadist literature ever written? For those who are unfamiliar with Faraj, he was the emir of the Al-Jihad group that assassinated Anwar Sadat in the name of the very same true Islam.
“What kind of ruling can there be against ‘idolaters’ in the 21st century and what should we make of the ruling to slay them ‘wherever [we] find them’ now that we have international law and the nation state? Where do today’s Muslims draw the line between Islamic jurisprudence and law?
“As Muslims, what should we do with the 20th verse of Surat at-Tawbah, which is dedicated to our relationship with Christians and Jews? The text is as follows: ‘Fight those who do not believe in God or in the Last Day and who do not consider unlawful what God and His Messenger have made unlawful and who do not adopt the religion of truth from those who were given the Scripture – [fight] until they give the jizyah willingly while they are humbled.’
This is actually the 29th, not the 20th, verse of Surat at-Tawbah — that is, Qur’an 9:29.
“Do these ayahs belong to the so-called ayahs of forgiveness that Muslims praise as evidence of Islam’s kindheartedness in conferences of flattery and social deception? Are they really all we have left of Islam in its latest incarnation?
“What is the verdict on the fatwas of Sheikh ul-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah who still presides over the jurisprudence of jihad, eight centuries after his death, from the Muslim Brotherhood to ISIS? What is his position, in the view of who he is in the history of Islamic jihadist jurisprudence, in today’s Muslim world? Who will draw the borders between the jurisprudence of jihad as one of the Islamic sciences and the criminal jurisprudence that was practiced in Paris, especially as both of them are derived from the same original texts?
“It was very telling that straight after the announcement of the Charlie Hebdo massacre people’s thoughts turned to Islamist extremists, despite the fact that the French magazine’s satire did not spare Judaism, Christianity, or the French political establishment. This is because Islam’s relationship with the present is in crisis, and any group going through such a crisis is always the first suspect. In fact, Islam as a whole stands accused in advance, and not only its extremist fringe.
“The original texts that form an inseparable part of the true Islam and that inspire the ongoing crimes committed in its name are also guilty. This will be true as long as there is no central authority to reorganize the relationship between the Islamic text, as a piece of history, and the necessities of the present day – in the same way that the Koranic text itself acclimatized as the ayahs were gradually sent down, with some new rulings replacing older ones…
“Nothing can [harm] Islam and Muslims as much as such crimes, and yet we still make do with saying that they do not represent the true Islam, without providing a clear description of what true Islam is – beginning with our religious schools, some of which are factories for crime, to our constitutions, which are rigged with the mines of Islamic jurisprudence and Sharia law.
“Nothing [harms] Islam more than the Charlie Hebdo massacre, which says, from the belly of the true Islam itself: Those of us who love the Prophet most are our greatest criminals.”

So sick of all of them. The Muslims must be laughing ther behinds off by now. They are tellingus why they kill us and continue to kill us and our traitors in office still lie to us.

Completely appropriate word — “traitor”. To lie about the enemy’s doctrine in order to make it look harmless is treason. Period.

Anyone who still believes that is an idiot and that means they too are dangerous to us.

I’m somewhat new to Jihadi Watch and I would like to get people’s opinion. We keep hearing from ISIS that they will take over the White House…hasn’t Obama brought in several Muslim Brotherhood individuals to be on his staff?? I truly feel he is aligning everyone. What are your thoughts?
Georg says
It of course depends what “aligning” is taken to mean.
Regardless, I think Obama is at a minimum acting like an idiot (not using the term lightly/sarcastically/flippantly) by being so politically correct, tolerating the Muslim Brotherhood (which is borderline, if not flat out, seditious) and judging in advance of evidence, see prejudice, that he will side with Muslims regardless of the circumstances with his quote, “I will stand with the Muslims should the political winds shift in an ugly direction…” How can he be so sure he’ll stand with them without knowing what they’ll have done in the future? I’m very doubtful he’d stand with a group who were white holding similar views, but back to the question.
He is vigorously “aligning” us to believe Islam is socially acceptable, in fact a “great religion”, and that we persecute its adherents and should proceed accordingly to remedy these transgressions. He wishes to shift to orientation of the US, and West, toward that of toleration and even promotion of Islam. He and his ilk, which are legion in government, media, and academia, want to establish the premise that Islam is wonderful and our societies treat it accordingly.
Cliff notes: Yes.
Concerned Citizen says
Thank you Georg for your insightful response! I’m very worried the direction our country is heading! We are being stripped of our rights slowly but surely and I am terrified! I’m female, in sales and cover two states, so I went ahead and got my handgun license. I never would think that I am invisible from a lone wolf. I’m just very scared and I hate that our government and ISIS has made me feel this way. Thanks again!!

‘sp’ wittering and burbling his usual nonsense, and evincing his profound inability to comprehend implications.
”Obama is a great president for several reasons, one of them being his willingness to stand against ugly political winds in favor of American Citizens.”
In the passage ‘sp’ refers to, obama is specifically referring to Arabs and Pakistanis, the vast majority of whom are **muslims**. He is referring to them in the context of the aftermath of 9/11, a **muslim** attack on America, and in the context of their resentment at being looked upon with suspicion.
Therefore the implication is that obama will stand with the **muslims**. He does *not* refer to American citizens as a *whole*, so ‘sp’ is being deliberately disingenuous here.
As is his wont.
Stardusty Psyche says
Hi Mirren10,
“Therefore the implication is”
Right, the words you want are not there so you “imply” them.
By that reasoning we can “imply” Obama stands with atheists, Christians, Hindus, Sikhs, and every other region found among Arabs and Pakistanis.
So, we can “imply” Obama stands with Arab American citizens and Pakistani American citizens of all sorts…good for him,
Mirren10 says
More illogical claptrap from ‘sp’;

The passage from obama’s ghosted memoirs, quoted by ‘sp’, **specifically** refers to Arabs and Pakistanis, the majority of whom are *muslims*, in the **context of 9/11** and their resentment at being regarded with suspicion, in its aftermath. obama says he will specifically **stand with them**.
It wasn’t atheists, Christians, Hindus, or Sikhs, who flew the planes into the towers, it was *muslims*.
obama has *never* said he will stand with atheists, Christians, Hindus, or Sikhs. In fact, he has assiduously refrained from mentioning the persecution, torture and murder, that these groups suffer at the hands of *muslims*.
Stardusy Psyche says
Hi Mirren10,
“It wasn’t atheists, Christians, Hindus, or Sikhs, who flew the planes into the towers, it was *muslims*.”
It was also Arabs, and Arab Americans are guilty by association in the minds of some American racists. Obama will stand by Arab Americans if that kind of ugliness gains ground in American politics. Good for Obama.
“obama has *never* said he will stand with atheists, Christians, Hindus, or Sikhs. ”
True, and he never said he would stand with Muslims. It is all “implication”
So, what say you stop your “implications” and I will stop my “implications” and let’s just focus on what was actually said…ok?
Taken at face value I find the following quite reasonable:
“Of course, not all my conversations in immigrant communities follow this easy pattern. In the wake of 9/11, my meetings with Arab and Pakistani Americans, for example, have a more urgent quality, for the stories of detentions and FBI questioning and hard stares from neighbors have shaken their sense of security and belonging. They have been reminded that the history of immigration in this country has a dark underbelly; they need specific assurances that their citizenship really means something, that America has learned the right lessons from the Japanese internments during World War II, and that I will stand with them should the political winds shift in an ugly direction.”

Do you have any specific rational arguments against the plain text ordinary American English meanings of the actual quote from the actual book?
qedlin says
Ah, yes, another Obama bobblehead. obama is a psychopthic liar or has been dutifully conducting taqiyya since he lied his way into the White House.
“Arab Americans are guilty by association” when they are silent about butchering others, as their fellow arabs are, that qualifies as racism. Just look at how they are treating other races in their native countries. Islam breed this perverse discrimination.
obama’s promise to stand by arab americans is as empty as his promise to stand by marriage, our allies, Israel, Kurds, Christians, the Constitution or God’s moral law.
Is that a quote from obama’s lying tome? Reads like taqiyya and stage 1 jihad – stealth jihad, promising to defend the poor persecuted minority arabs and “peaceful moslems” while undermining culture, society, rule of law, founding principles and community integrity.
“their citizenship really means something” BS. It only means something if they submit to constitutional rule and the underlying Judeo-Christian principles that means something, as past immigrants have willfully done, not the devious lying perversions of the moon god allah and Mo the stooge.

the conclusion that can be drawn from something although it is not explicitly stated.
2. Logic. the relation that holds between two propositions, or classes of propositions, **in virtue of which one is logically deducible from the other**.

““Arab Americans are guilty by association”… Just look at how they are treating other races in their native countries.”
Look at how Arab Americans are treating other races in other countries? Are your drunk or stoned or something? Arab Americans are in, well, America…duh.

“This is what I have been saying for well over a decade now: that Islamic jihadists use the texts and teachings of Islam to justify violence,”
Thank you Robert Spencer. Indeed, you agree with IS and all the rest as to what the texts actually say and command.
The difference is that you condemn the texts as an instruction manual to evil, and the jihadis believe the texts are the true word of god and therefore must be followed to every bloody letter.
Jack Diamond says
and does any and every devout Muslim, not just a “jihadi”, also believe (and is required to believe) the texts to be the true word of god which must be followed?
Stardusty Psyche says
Hi Jack Diamond,
“and does any and every devout Muslim, not just a “jihadi”, also believe (and is required to believe) the texts to be the true word of god which must be followed?”
Depends how you define “devout”, and how each individual self identifying Muslim defines “devout” for himself or herself.
Catholics have devised a theological path to allegory. Jesus gave the keys to the church to Peter, and through apostolic succession, all Catholic popes in an unbroken chain to this very day. The catholic pope says certain passages are allegory, therefore god intended only to tell a story with a moral, not write literal text in those passages so identified by the bishop of Rome…in the catholic view.
I am not aware of any analogous path to allegory within Islam. If you can identify one to the satisfaction of Muslims generally you would be doing humanity a great service indeed!
Don McKellar says
The reason that Islam is different than other religions is because ultimately moslems are not allowed to define “devout” for him or herself. Somebody else ALWAYS is empowered to come in and enforce the texts more exactingly. Islam is completely literal. There are no optional parts written in. In Mao’s China, there was no allowing somebody to define how devout a Maoist they were. Not in any ultimate sense. The goon squad would come to the village and everybody had damn well get 100% devout and prove it or they would be shot. This is Islam, too. It is a totalitarian philosophy.
They can only get away with not following the texts exactly as written until a more devout moslem (group) comes along and they decide to enforce the texts as written. This means that those who are not following the texts as written, as closely as possible, literally open themselves up to a terror campaign and threat of (and often enforcement of) death until they meet up to the standards of the most devout.
Of course this can never be truly resolved. Islam sets standards of conduct which in our modern world results in extreme criminal activity and, literally, drives the most devout adherents to insanity.
So, no, there is no equivalence argument that can be made with Catholicism or any mainstream Christian church — nor for that matter with Christianity in general. Or let’s put it this way: the Christ character said: Let those without sin cast the first stone. The Muhammad character said: Let us all cast stones to prove we are better than the sinner.
ECAW says
Dead right Don Mckellar. The Christian God allows a lot of latitude to his “children”. I’ve heard, but don’t really know, that in the Jewish tradition Jews are even allowed to argue the toss with Yahweh (is he still called Yahweh?) about religious matters but we have to remember that Allah is a slave master who defined the religion for his slaves. Not really much wiggle room there. Whenever the slaves start to move a little bit towards an outlook of common human decency, Allah’s trusties drag them back to the compound.
TruthWFree says
To Don McKellar…If Islam is true Christianity is false and if Christianity is true, Islam is false. As you point out, the teachings are 180 opposite Christ’s teachings and the allah god of the Quran says Jesus never said He is the Son of God and died on the cross (lies against the Gospels). Jesus said Satan is the father of all lies. I have concluded that Islam is Satan revealed. Even Muhammad thought he was demon possessed but his wife Khadija convinced him it was from God per Robert Spencer in “The Truth About Muhammad”. Then you have the Satanic Verses (Salmon Rushdie) where Muhammad agreed to two other gods besides allah in his negotiations with the Meccans before he conquered them. He then recanted and said Satan fooled him on those verses and allah god chastised him in the Quran for agreeing to those two gods. Because of all these facts, I can only conclude that Satan revealed the Quran to Muhammad…unless Muhammad made it all up and is the greatest of all liars…also takes us back to Satan because Jesus Christ says in the Gospels that Satan is the father of all lies.
Jack Diamond says
It’s good that Nadim Koteich is telling the truth about Islam and the Islamic State, unlike our dhimmi politicians, but the excuses for Islam are fascinating.
Those who wish for a secularized, de-fanged Islam and who still want to identify themselves as Muslims have to do such contortions to protect the reputation of Islam and Muhammad.
They have never-ending fallback positions to fix the problem which go ever father back into the past but never quite to the prophet himself. It used to be “Wahhabism” as where everything went wrong, dutifully repeated by the Time & Newsweeks of the world as received wisdom. Then the “Qur’an only” crowd who simply got rid of all the pesky hadith so they didn’t have to defend them anymore. Now its the ulema that rejected Mu’tazili theology as heresy. Reform sharia, reopen the gates of Ijtihad, independent reasoning, revive the “rationalism” which taught the Qur’an was created and not divine, and maybe we (Muslims) can continue abrogation to include Jihad and that Loyalty & Enmity business. Even though the followers of Mu’tazili theology had no problems with inquisitions and with persecuting and killing their opponents, either. Nor are the reasons they lost the “debate” any different today. Jihad is so fixed it is not even a matter for Itjihad. It is considered a Right of Allah, hukm shari, an obligation on all believers that is non-negotiable and not a matter for “independent reasoning.”

From Bostom’s piece:
{Nyberg’s authoritative Encyclopedia of Islam entry states plainly,
“Nothing could be less justifiable than to regard the Mutazila as philosophers, freethinkers, or liberals. On the contrary, they are theologians of the strictest school; their ideal is dogmatic orthodoxy.”
However, Ignaz Goldziher’s even more sobering conclusions, published a century ago, and gleaned from informed, serious, and thoughtful analyses of the Mutazilite’s doctrine and history, merit particularly careful review.
“Authors of sophistic fantasies about hypothetical developments in Islam at times draw pictures of how salutary it would have been to the evolution of Islam if the Mutazila had successfully risen to spiritual dominance…It was truly a piece of good fortune for Islam that state patronage of this mentality was limited to the time of those three [Mutazilite] caliphs. How far would the Mutazilites have gone if the instruments and power of the state had been longer at the disposal of their intellectual faith!…[T]he inquisitors of liberalism were, if possible, even more terrible than their literal-minded colleagues. In any case their fanaticism is more repugnant than that of their imprisoned and mistreated victims.”
The reform-minded will have to keep looking back even further to find where “it all went wrong”….

Apparently not. I’ve been looking into the work of John Andrew Morrow (and his appalling interfaith protege, Craig Considine) and learned this:
“The beauty of the Qu’ran, the wisdom of the Prophet’s sayings, and his sublime ethics were so alluring that, for many, Islamic rule became simply irresistible.”

Cameron and Obama need to read this.
They have no idea how much damage to the world they are doing with these lies every day.
A very small example: imaging a British girl contemplating converting to Islam, but she is hesitating due to fear from all the Islamic violence. And then she hears Cameron say “Islam is a religion of peace” and this convinces her to convert to Islam.
These lies are promoting Islam and its proliferation, emboldening the enemy and lulling into complacency those who would otherwise fight it.

I just don’t understand why grown men think that the Quran is , in ANY way , inspired by some divine being. It is woefully repetitive, poorly organised, poorly written and contains nothing but plagiarised old myths and stories from surrounding traditions. There is ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to indicate that it is inspired by an almighty creator of the universe. It has no magical hold over non muslims…. yet…. muslims for some weird reason hold it as infallible truth. To me that is like honoring “American Psycho” as the “word of God”. It is totally insane.
I remind any muslims that may read this that a criminal murderer is quite capable of writing a human breeding manual if it is written for the purpose of breeding extra henchmen that the murderer needs to subdue all his opposition. And that is EXACTLY what Mohammed did when he composed the Quran.
qedlin says
Precisely the review I gave the screed on my first reading. But you can’t say it wasn’t inspired – by a demon that over several decades possessed Mo, who was stupid enough to not know the difference between an archangel of God and a demon of satan. The koran is repetitive drivel, incoherent, factually flawed, absolutely lacking any divine inspiration.
My conclusion is it is mind boggling what sheep humanity is in truth to be deceived by such excrement.

“which is the real Islam? Well it is the same that it has always been …you try from childhood to build that special relationship with Allah SWT; one of a slave. The inner spiritual struggle is to become an Abdullah (slave of Allah SWT) …what can be a greater honour than this…observance and submission to Allah …all else is false as you will not see the noor of Allah SWT without submission.
Each night every muslim speaks in the ear of their children..Bismillah ..Bismillah (to begin the enormous undertaking of transforming your children to became an Abdullah). You need go no further than this definition because all else will not endear you to Allah SWT.”
The indoctrination starts young, and it must be effective to make someone proud to be a slave.

Interesting. Totally different to the West. Thanks for that description.

I admire the cut of your logical jib, Fear Not. Largely due to my having been born in the U.S., I opine, rather than another country whose culture is dominated by, say, Hinduism, I succumbed to the allure of “born-again” Christianity in my late teens. Fewer than 20 years later, I had departed that belief system, after painfully discovering its foundations of divine inspiration were actually a series of circular arguments. One key “truth” unmasked was that the Bible is the inerrant word of God. It took enhanced mental maturity and a penchant for continually asking questions to bring me to realize the ultimate proof of the Bible lay within my emotions, which had heretofore been subtly manipulated to arrive at fixed conclusions in support of the veracity of the book, and thereby my faith. I subscribe to no “religion” now, but instead on my own terms continue pursuing knowledge of our existence, taking bona fide inspiration from the vast databases of documented near-death experiences, collected from experiencers around the globe. Pardon my straying in my complimentary note to you; I mostly felt to pass on the sense of kinship I feel toward your clear (and gutsy) reasoning.

The Koran is suspiciously Pro-Mo. Funny he didn’t receive revelations which would have made his life more difficult (saying men’s testimony is worth half that of a woman’s, for instance). It’s also funny Gabriel didn’t visit him in front of other people, but while Mohammad was loitering in the caves above Mecca. Reminds me of that Joe Smith guy. Hmm.

I agree with a large part of what you said. After reading Moody, Stephenson, Fortyn, and others I would love to see a scientific study of revived patients that suffered a cardiac arrest and were brought back to life. I read that a large percentage (approx 20%) recalled a NDE after revival. Perhaps if there was scientific proof that you had to atone for your misdeeds and still didn’t get 72 sweet white raisins (or dark eyed virgins) ALL the religious bigots of every stripe would tone down. There may or may not be a higher power but I don’t believe any man-made religion can possibly “know the truth”
ECAW says
It would be nice if NDE’s turned out to be real but the scientific studies so far don’t appear to support them.
My memory is that Sam Parnia ran a study in Southampton which produced inconclusive results so he organised a bigger one, the results of which have been long delayed but are said to be discouraging. If someone has more up to date information I would be glad to know it.
It’s the OBE’s which can be properly tested rather than the NDE’s:
“In 2001, Parnia and colleagues investigated out of body claims by placing figures on suspended boards facing the ceiling, not visible from the floor. Parnia wrote “anybody who claimed to have left their body and be near the ceiling during resuscitation attempts would be expected to identify those targets. If, however, such perceptions are psychological, then one would obviously not expect the targets to be identified.” The philosopher Keith Augustine, who examined Parnia’s study, has written that all target identification experiments have produced negative results. Psychologist Chris French wrote regarding the study “unfortunately, and somewhat atypically, none of the survivors in this sample experienced an OBE.”

Finally! some truth about the embedded militant doctrine of Islam.
He is not alone. Egypt’s El-SISI: “That thinking—I am not saying “religion” but “thinking”—that corpus of texts and ideas that we have sacralized over the centuries, to the point that departing from them has become almost impossible, is antagonizing the entire world. It’s antagonizing the entire world!
Is it possible that 1.6 billion people [Muslims] should want to kill the rest of the world’s inhabitants—that is 7 billion—so that they themselves may live? Impossible!”
Fundamentalist Muslims should keep in mind that the reverse may not be impossible, and the world should not be tested.
A better approach would be reformation that is compatible with the modern world. If the majority of muslims believe Islam promotes peace, they won’t miss the removed militant doctrine. The Imams and “scholars” appear to be the sacralizers who live off the Umma and would resist losing power and wealth. In a sense, the Umma are their slaves to control for Allah, and adding a little burden to benefit themselves is profitable, all knowing, and (merciful?).
Georg says
Great points. It’s always funny to me when Muslims proudly and emphatically state ” There are 1.6 billion Muslims in the world…” and dada, dada, dada, about why we must accommodate them thusly. Well, they’re the ones who divide the world into Dar al Islam and Dar al harb. What about the 5.4 billion kaffirs? They take it as a given we’ll come off our unholy paths to roll out the carpet for them at every turn?
Such hubris.

‘The gods must be crazy’…at least one of them…It’s an odd thing that when the gods appear the first thing they do is write a book…Most of you have read Allah’s book, and what a book it is…full of love, of tolerance, of wisdom…except for a few parts that were written when Allah was having a PMS attack…Jihadist Islam is a lot like a pro wrestling match where no holds are barred and there are no disqualifications. The pious jihadi can be beaten, even killed, but never disqualified. That’s why you never hear a peep of condemnation coming from the 1.6+ billion pious…And how else can it be when Allah rewards the jihadi and holds them up as role models? We know this to be true because it’s written in the book, and Mahound said so. Any Mahoundian who says different is looking for trouble, and will find it, from Allah…He will point out all your mistakes and then force you to drink boiling water…
That is your reward for complaining and asking too many questions…
Westman says
Yes, and so merciful is Allah that when one set of skins has melted away in his Hell, he will provide another so that the torture can continue until that one is gone and again, mercifully, he will provide another, forever. Such sadistic joy and mercy he loves! But, but, but, there is no joy in Islam! Now it becomes obvious, Allah loves the misery of the slaves and the infidels; misery for the slaves in this life and misery for the infidels in the next. All joy is Allah’s!
It kind of makes being drilled, flogged, hung from a cross, amputated, and beheaded seem even more merciful!

Another set of copies should be sent to CNN, BBC and other media that has volunteered to be the media outlets of Islam.

They wish to make all who refuse to bow, very very sorry for not obeying their repeated commands to look at islam as *peace* and all of the other superlatives they call the evil cult of death and destruction.
No lie is too big for them to tell to make people see islam as they way they wish everyone to see it…in the image they have made.

It was Gabriel wot dun it…How does anyone know for sure if the Quran is the words of Allah, or the words of Gabriel? And how does anyone know for sure if Gabriel is actually an angel, or a demonic representative of Satan as some here think, or does not exist at all, and never did…
One thing is for sure, no matter what, Gabriel is not human.
Gabriel is a space alien…so in effect, 1.6+ billion Mahoundians put their faith in what a space alien told them. This is a form of shirk, but they are stuck with it as long as they believe in Gabriel…

IPP: Immigration; Procreation; Propagation.
Muslims don’t need ISIS. Muslims don’t have to do a damn thing to us in the way of physical aggression. They don’t have to engage in terrorism. They don’t have to engage in a single offensive act. They just have to remain Muslim–and immigrate, procreate, propagate. Ultimately, they can beat us with numerical superiority. They can overrun any free country and supplant its populace from within. They don’t need to do it today. They don’t need to do it tomorrow. This is a long-term campaign. And why shouldn’t they? We make it possible for them. They use our freedoms and our laws against us, because we make it possible for them.
Muslims are the enemy, yet they don’t have to use force to render us powerless. They just have to be Muslim. After all, who is going to stop a law-abiding Muslim from exercising his or her rights?
Islam is a cancer. We need to treat it as such.
Islam: where freedom ends and slavery begins.

Helas, PGuud! What you say is chilling and brutally realistic. You put into a couple of paragraphs what I have been trying not to freak out about ever since I read Mark Steyn’s electrifying and witty “America Alone”, which addresses global demographics, past, present and….future:0 See Europe. See anywhere!
This is all especially dispiriting against a backdrop of the villainous media, the incredible hubris of Obama’s embrace of additional hundreds of thousands of refugees from Syria, Iraq, elsewhere, and concurrent stroke-of-the-pen legislation he specializes in, Refugees? Ya think?
And, of course, continuing with distasteful context for your terse observations above, the willful deception by many politicians and ostrich approach of even a lot of otherwise bright-seeming, well-educated people. The mental set for “positive thinking” is slavishly adhered to, broadly sought after and followed religiously (sometimes, literally religiously); negativism is tiresome sort of attitude.
Denial. When one has that pollyanna-leaning mind set, it’s really hard to shake. I think they are just scared literally witless. A double whammy for the poor things with PCMC and diversity pressure piled on top of a resolution to always try to see the bright side or positive aspects…Jeesh! I think I’m getting some insight into where “ethical narcissism” has its genesis. Cheers! Quotha R

Well I have to say it’s refreshing to read Mr Koteich’s article which is brutally honest, so unlike the usual blame shifting most muslims practice to avoid facing the truth.
“these killers are us.They are our religion at it’s most extreme”
When have we read a muslim write words like that? But many would argue with the phrase “most extreme”. “Most pure or orthodox” is more correct.
Of the Jihadist/terrorists he said “they will remain muslims as long as they pronounce the shahada”. This is an incredibly important point missed by many counter-Islamists. Instead of engaging in hair splitting debates with scholars about what the Koran teaches and what is Islam. Nail them on this simple fact; “they are muslims”. Their identity as muslims cannot be denied, therefore the problem rests with Islam and all who follow it. Ball’s in your court.

Stephen Coughlin is great. His lectures are extremely insightful – get his book ‘Catastrophic Failure’.
In 2010 he called this trend perfectly. I’ve set the video to start at that point, but watch his whole presentation

It used to be that absurdity was an absolute state, like being pregnant or dead. Leave it to the Moslems to change that.
… like calling people ‘lone wolf’ terrorists…
Speaking of which, the lone wolves now have a new major subgroup called known wolves, where the Islamic activists murderer is kind of associated with an activist organization but isn’t really.
We’re floating on a dark cloud of floating definitions. The medium is the message, and the words in the medium are cogs that spin and change shapes to constantly alter the message to keep it moving and thereby not available for isolation and identification. There is anonymity in known phenomena now, there are unidentified flying subjects not followed by objects. Grammatically speaking, of course.
For example, did you know that there has not been a terrorist attack in the United States since 9/11? That is said to congratulate the fine work by our police and intelligence forces, but kudos must also go to our news entertainment soldiers.

Great article, thanks for posting.
Will Nadim Koteich be denounced as a “racist,” “bigoted” “Islamophobe”? No. He’s not white and is Muslim — that’s a lot of Teflon.
“It was very telling that straight after the announcement of the Charlie Hebdo massacre people’s thoughts turned to Islamist extremists, despite the fact that the French magazine’s satire did not spare Judaism, Christianity, or the French political establishment. This is because Islam’s relationship with the present is in crisis…” Such an excellent assessment of the reality.
This is almost totally unrelated, but it crossed my mind several times while reading… so maybe someone else has some pertinent thoughts:
What does the pro-Islam left have to say about the lack of Jewish attacks against Germans/Germany? How do they account for the disparity? And Jews are demonized by them…

Islam’s relationship with the present is in crisis, and any group going through such a crisis is always the first suspect. In fact, Islam as a whole stands accused in advance, and not only its extremist fringe.
It’s fascinating to see a Moslem recognize the facts of Islam, but they always seem to seek to wiggle out of the obvious conclusion that must be taken from the recognition.
The original texts that form an inseparable part of the true Islam and that inspire the ongoing crimes committed in its name are also guilty…
Also in addition to what, also in addition to the crimes of those who commit crimes by acting on the inseparable texts? Circular logic but always with an out clause. Dealing with Moslems, or even thinking about them, is like dealing with a tricky contract. And with all the grievances they present us, there are always new contracts being drawn up.

The sire’s name is Mohammed, and four of his five sons are named Mohammed; one for some reason is named Kashem, he’s probably the runt of the litter. All six women in the photograph published in the Daily Mail are wearing hijabs.
Just guessing, but I think this crew is Mohammedan. That spells trouble. People are gonna die when they arrive in the New Caliphate, and it ain’t gonna be them. Well, maybe the old man will croak from all the excitement, but that’ll be it for deaths in the Luton family, at least until its time to die in the fight for the cause and to head on up to Jannat, the Moslem porno heaven.
The Lutons are a family on the move, a nuclear unit comprising an Ummah on the move. Their move ain’t necessarily a bad thing, though. At least there will be that much less money for the English taxpayer to fork over in welfare benefits every month.

Seems like this Lebanese Muslim has painted himself into a corner between Iraq and a hard place, precisely because 90% of what he says it true (his allusion to the mythic Gates of Ijtihad — viz., “the defeat of the Mu’tazila – the defeat of rationality in Islam 1,100 years ago” — and by extension the supposed prescient (and therefore relevant today?) moderation of the Mutazilites).
If he values reason and conscience, he will escape the psychological and cultural Gulag of Islam, stop trying to have his falafel and eat it too in his schizophrenic defense of / attack on Islam, and take the plunge: jump ship into apostasy. (Or he could continue his functional role as a Better Cop in the Good Cop/Bad Cop game which has been played a thousand ways, a thousand times, by stealth jihadists over the years.)
voegelinian says
correction:
“precisely because 90% of what he says it true ”
of course, should be
“precisely because 90% of what he says is true “
voegelinian says
Allahdamn it — yet another correction, this one potentially more serious:
“…precisely because 90% of what he says it true (his allusion to the mythic Gates of Ijtihad — viz., “the defeat of the Mu’tazila – the defeat of rationality in Islam 1,100 years ago” — and by extension the supposed prescient (and therefore relevant today?) moderation of the Mutazilites)….”
My wording implies that the Lebanese journalist’s nonsense about the “rationality in Islam 1,100 years ago” was part of the 90% true stuff he is saying — which is the exact opposite of what I was intending.

Having read “Ash-Shifa”, DL, you must recognize, as I do, that Nadim Koteich has written his death ticket. Nobody will sell him a life policy. He demonstrates some knowledge of the Koran and hadith, so he probably knows but can not accept the fact that Islam can not be reformed. He must know that, every century, Satan will raise up someone like Wahhab, Al-Banna or Qutb to return Islam to its foundation.
The damnable doctrine of Islam can not b e separated from it. Jihad is the apex, immutably. Reformation is not the answer, mass apostasy is. Jeff suggested replacing Islam with Christianity. Unfortunately, Islam has demonized Christianity so that Muslims have been brainwashed to hate it. That substitution requires that each Muslim experience his own Epiphany.
