Every day now there is another jihad plot, and more Muslims trying to join the Islamic State. It sure seems easy for Muslims who — we are told — hear nothing but “Peace, peace” in their local mosques to be “radicalized on the Internet.”
“Man charged over alleged terror plot to attack US military in UK,” by Vikram Dodd and Jamie Grierson, Guardian, July 21, 2015 (thanks to Jules):
A man has been charged over an alleged terrorist plot to attack US military personnel stationed in Britain.
The Crown Prosecution Service said on Tuesday that Junead Ahmed Khan, 24, from Luton, had been charged. He and his uncle, Shazib Ahmed Khan, aged 22, have also both been charged with planning to join Islamic State in Syria, which is a banned terrorist group under UK law.
Junead Khan is accused of preparing a terrorist plot between 10 May and 14 July this year, the CPS said.
Both men, from Luton, Bedfordshire, were arrested last Tuesday by officers from Scotland Yard’s counter-terrorism command. Police say they live on the same road in Luton….
“It is alleged that Junead Khan and Shazib Khan had been planning on travelling to Syria to join the proscribed organisation Islamic State. It is further alleged that Junead Khan was planning a terrorist attack on US military personnel in the UK and he has been charged with an additional terrorism offence to reflect this.”
