Sheik Ahmad Al-Dweik apparently doesn’t believe that the Islamic State constitutes the caliphate, but he is sure that it will come, because Allah has promised it — and when it does, it will destroy the West. It would be interesting to hear what Muslim spokesmen in the West think of this analysis, and what their idea of the caliphate is — but no journalists will dare to challenge them on such questions.

During an address delivered at the Al-Aqsa Mosque on July 24, Sheik Ahmad Al-Dweik said that Allah had promised to restore the Islamic Caliphate and that it would “fight the U.S. and bring it down” and would “eliminate the West in its entirety.”
Following are excerpts:
Ahmad Al-Dweik: We say to Iran, to the U.S., and to others: Allah has promised to grant victory and honor to this Islamic nation. Allah has promised to restore the Islamic Caliphate, whether the U.S., Iran, and the regional powers like it or not. Oh Muslims, you should know that this is the promise of Allah. The Caliphate will come to be, and the nuclear bomb will be produced. It will be the number one country in the world. It will fight the U.S. and will bring it down. [The Caliphate] will eliminate the West in its entirety.

Allah promised that there would be an Islamic state, and that we would prepare for the West whatever strength and steeds of war we can, in order to strike terror in the hearts of the enemies of Islam and of Allah, until we become those who command and Islam rules [the world].

Why they can’t just identify the problem as written, Orthodox Islam is beyond me.

I can’ t find anything on the web about this “Sheik Ahmad Al-Dweik ” other than many references to the July 24th screeching screed. Anyone have a background on this person?
There seem to be a few men walking around in the background, more or less ignoring the “Sheik”. It’s too bad the camera doesn’t sweep to the rear so we can see if this is like the US Senate speeches; essentially given without an audience.
One wonders why the Israelis keep allowing calls for their destruction in these Friday speeches at the “farthest mosque”. This was once the headquarters of the Knights Templar and a Christian church(crusades) and unlikely to be the true furthest mosque of the night journey. It would be a gift to the world if it was dismantled.

Most of the two or three seen in the background appear to be disinterested . . . kinda like we are when Obama spouts ridiculous rhetoric each day on cable networks or TV-host programs.

If nuclear bombs are used, there will be a general world war. If there is a general nuclear war, there will be no winners. Moreover, the earth may be completely destroyed.
If the world is destroyed, Muslims will not inherited leadership of the earth, but its burnt-out ashes.
If Muslims inherit nothing as a result of nuclear jihad, then Allah is an idiot and Islam is false.

I have not heard that before, it cannot be in the Koran as the Caliphate did not exist when it was written and I am sure if some ‘priest’ had got the message he would be broadcasting it.
Also the question is if ‘god/allah’ is all powerful and can destroy all non infidels, how is it he did not prevent the fall of the previous caliphate. Of course talking logic to religious people is a waste of time!
