UPDATE: Apparently this is a piece of “performance art” by a “comedian.” Unfortunately, supremacism and threats are such recurring features of the interaction of Muslims with non-Muslims, it rang all too true.
It’s simple: in Muslim countries, non-Muslims must conform their behavior to suit Muslim sensibilities. In non-Muslim countries, non-Muslims must conform their behavior to suit Muslim sensibilities.

The leader of the islamic community of our capital city (who I believe makes a living by smiling and saying that islam is peace and love because he pretty much does that anywhere there’s a report on islam) made it quite clear that muslims were not to drink water during daytime under no circumstances. I actually knew the old geezer personally before that, and if I had doubts regarding his claim of being “moderate” (which I didn’t – I knew he was a sham) that would have settled them – if he was observant enough not to allow any slack on such a health-related matter then I can’t imagine him teaching against the only way to ensure entrance into paradise – killing and dying while fighting in jihad.

I think the things are being taken out of context here. Firstly that restaurant is in a fully muslim dominated area in Paris – it has approximately 90% muslims. Secondly the muslims of the area had requested the restaurant to keep it shut during day time as nobody was going to the restaurant during the day – this is evident in the video since the restaurant had only a few people. Hence this man got frustrated and did the above action
Caroline says
France is not a Muslim country and this restaurant is carrying out legitimate business. This Islamofacist was threatening patrons of the restaurant and should have been arrested.

I just LOVE the barrage of Freudian slips after Freudian slips. These sociopaths don’t say “Muslim majority” or anything like that but their utmost supremacism always betrays them sooner or later, it’s always about conquering, invading, rampaging, pillaging, plundering, dominating… etc. other peoples, cultures in the Middle East, Asia, Africa, Europe… EVERYWHERE on earth. Let’s remember that the Arabian Peninsula was, before Islam of course, one of the most, if not the most, peaceful melting pot of cultures on this planet, Jews lived there in Yathrib, later renamed medina by the savage warlord Pedohammed & Co. Everywhere Islam is, bigotry and intolerance abounds, even between Muslims, Sunni vs Shiite, Sunni vs Sufi, Alawaite, Ahmadi… etc
Islam it’s the most supremacist, hateful and shameless caste system of them all, never in the history of history has there ever been such a demented, deluded and bloodthirsty ideology.

France has it’s own laws and they do not include anything about Ramadan controlling France. It doesn’ t matter if the neighborhood is 100% Muslim, Christian, Jewish, or Athiest. The national and city laws of France apply and none else.
If you really think that Ramadan supersedes the laws of France then you are seditious, a traitor to France who lied when when taking the oath of allegiance to France. If you didn’t take the oath, and are not seeking citizenship, then you are an illegal trespasser who should be deported.
It is the height of arrogance to emmigrate to a land of more opportunity and then attempt to limit the actions and freedom of its citizens. You are not the “best of people”, you are simply people like everyone else.
The fellow with the Rhode Island Red on his head is free to stand on the corner and yell his frustration; he is not entitled to grab musician’s microphones, or turn over tables.
European Muslims should think twice about violence. The history of Europe shows that when Europeans are forced to violence, not waiting for government sanction, the cost for the instigators can be very high.

And YOUR context ‘here’ is that of ISLAMIC SUPREMACISM which you obviously think is perfectly reasonable.

Suleiman, if you don’t like SECULAR PLURALISM, pack your bags. France is not the right country for you. The USA isn’t right for you either. Neither are most Western countries.
ISLAMIC VIGILANTISM is illegal even in most Muslim countries…but it is tolerated there. Go to Berzerkistan where they burn people to death for eating during Ramadan. You obviously feel the restaurant patrons and owner ‘HAD IT COMING TO THEM’.
Suleiman, you are a SUPREMACIST. We will not submit.
Shmooviyet says
He was ‘frustrated”?
How often do you suppose people get ‘frustrated’ each day at restaurants, in traffic, in line at the grocer? In a civilized world the majority of adults do not throw tantrums like this in public places. More the behaviour seen enacted by spoiled brats under the age of five.
mortimer says
It’s normative Islamic behavior called ‘ghaira’ (protective jealousy). Mohammed ordered his followers to take matters into their own hands to enforce his rules. This is called ‘vigilantism’ in English. A practicing Muslim is a vigilante in enforcing Sharia law against the will of free people who do not choose it.
Muslims believe they must force their culture on the world. Islam contradicts pluralism, so Muslims are religiously commanded not to allow ‘coexistence’. Muslims are supremacists.

(Yes, sorry about the allusions to all those old war films, but we need to draw these parallels in case anyone STILL doesn’t see that we’ve ‘been here before’).
What a load of b*/$£*cks! Who do these people think they are?(well actually, I think I’ve already answered that one). Have they been watching too many Third Reich or Mussolini propaganda films? Or there’s that film clip showing an islamic meeting in Iran (or somewhere similar) where some rabid Imam seems to be doing quite a good Hitler impression and ends up by drawing his sword and wagging it around whilst bellowing something like ‘Sieg Heil’ in Arabic, followed by his ‘audience’ (mob) responding by going bananas in a way that makes a Nuremburg rally look like a picnic on the vicarage lawn; and not to mention all the videos from Isis on the internet which no doubt are having an effect on at least 1.5 million of our wonderful, enriching muslim fellow-citizens here in the UK. Are they being brainwashed by all this kind of stuff, in addition to all the rubbish in their ‘Holy Book’? Or is it just that they all need psychiatric help?
The trouble is, this isn’t a new phenomenon at all, neither is it restricted to France. I can only speak for the UK, but people overe here might remember that there were newpaper stories back in the 1980’s (or before even?) when UK muslims were calling for Islamic festivals to be included in the calendar of holidays in the UK. And this when they represented probably less than a 1% recent addition to the population; and compare THAT with our Jewish friends, who were probably considerably more numerous at the time, had been a long-established, constructive and helpful part of the population, never caused any trouble and never, ever asked (‘demanded’?) for this kind of ‘privileged’ treatment! And, of course, we also have all the well-publicised stories in the press of employees being ‘advised’ (or ‘instructed’?) not to eat their sandwiches in the office in case it upsets their precious muslim colleagues during Ramadan; and do I recall stories reported of honest UK citizens being harrassed in the street in so-called ‘muslim areas’ for similar reasons?
So is it not time to give these people some of their own medicine back? For a start, the wearing of muslim garb in Western countries is not culturally appropriate and offensive to many, and often not practically appropriate (they can present a ‘trip factor’ – health and safety?). Face coverings (also offensive if not illegal) are also a serious security risk and should have been banned years ago. The sound of the amplified ‘call to prayer’ from mosques is also culturally inappropriate and represents an an unacceptably intrusive kind of noise pollution since it equates to antisocial or disorderly conduct (like shouting in the street) and in no way resembles the impersonal and musical sound of a bell, which does not automatically have any religious connotations but is simply part of our established ‘soundscape’. That’s only the trivial bit. What about the more serious breaches of our moral and legal code perpetrated in the name of islam? Institutionalised misogyny? Institutionalised corruption? Institutionalised deception and dishonesty? Institutionalised murder? Flouting of our anti-polygamy laws? Subversion of our legal and education systems? Our islamic friends have been skating on the increasingly thin ice of our tolerance for quite long enough. Just wait for the cracks.

Good, and also, start teaching Islamic doctrine in the schools directly from the Qur’an and Hadiths, much like we learn about Naziism truthfully so our youth shun it and fight it wherever it arises and they see it for what it truly is: Evil. Islam in the same way by using its own scripture and history and laws. Muslims want Islam taught in our schools. Good. Teach it…and not the CAIR taqiyya version of watered-down Islam, but the truth, all of it, and give students the knowledge to connect the dots from Islamic doctrine and the life of its brutal prophet in all its bloody gore and violence and hatred to what we see from Islam on a daily basis today, and why it will always be with Islam. After these students becvome our future leaders we can then deport Muslims, halt immigration and outlaw Islam in our countries…rightfully so and with good reason.

jayell says
“….when the sun goes down they gorge themselves like starving wolves.,,” No doubt that’s kind of OK when you’re not too far from the equator because you’re always free to eat between about 6.00pm to 6.00am (as it would be in one of these desert places). Now, quite a few of these muzzies have invaded Norway and Sweden (we know that from the rape stats.) so what happens when the sun hardly goes down at all in the north of these countries? What would be the effect of near-continuous starvation on their regular state of dubious sanity? Or is there some kind of get-out, like their claim that ‘Allah’s gone to sleep’ when they feel like a pint in the local pub?

R Cole says
He wants an Islamic state.
Even in moderate Islamic countries – it is a crime of six months in prison for eating during the daylight hours of Ramadan.
In Morocco – there is a group fighting for the ‘right’ to eat if they wish during the daylight hours of Ramadan.
In Algeria – a few years ago [and they may do this every year] some Algerian Christians – a husband and wife were arrested and appeared before a judge for eating during the daylight hours of Ramadan.
Some in the west hope to share in the Ramadan experience and celebrate with Muslims – but to the Muslim mindset – there is noting voluntary about Ramadan.
And they feel everyone should be included.
The best way to describe Ramadan is it is a period of ‘policing’ – mainly Muslims policing each other. It is an extreme period – as the month progreeses it becomes more intense – and you can see how those who do not conform could be targeted. For ex, US servicemen in Afghanistan – were attacked for getting a drink of water during Ramadan.
::
Religious Disdain
In east London – Tower Hamlets – a Muslim group from the East London Mosque sideswiped the Leftwing Labour Party – and took control of the London Council [for Islam] – where they sent out a memo – telling Council staff [local gov. officials] – that they should refrain from eating in the building during Ramadan. [Here you had the Leftwing complaining about it. In the end they managed to throw the Mosque Brothers out – through the court – on electoral fraud charges.]
In another UK council building staff were asked to remove Winnie the Pooh and Piglet tissue boxes off their desks – because a Muslim coworker found them offensive – during Ramadan.

Reminds me of the time I visited Turkey and traveled from Izmir to Konya during Ramadan. Young liberal kids in Izmir warned me that Konya was full of religious zealot fools, but I wanted to see the tomb of Mevlana Rumi, whose poetry I admired. I went to a restaurant just before sundown to get dinner and they actually served me without delay, even though the place was full of pious types waiting for the amplified bleat or croon that announces ‘official sundown’. I just forgot about their scruples and plunged into my dinner when it arrived. Only after a few minutes did I notice that I was the only person eating. But this was back in the early ’90s when the AK party was not yet in power and no one said a word to me. I was impressed how polite they were and that did much more to impress me than any hothead bully. I imagine nowadays I would not even have been served until the muezzin crooned his ‘all clear’.

I have visited Istanbul a few times and was evacuated to Ankara from Erbil (Kurdistan) last year when ISIS was approaching and after the American journalist was beheaded. I found these cities very tiourist-friendly and Westernized, but this is after decades of Mustafa Atatuk’s cultural revolution and policies have sunk into the big cities. He banned the hijab, enforced Western education, erased sharia, took over Hagia Sofia and turned it into a Christian museum to the chagrin of Islamists, etc. Unfortunately, in smaller cities and villasges in Turkey sharia is rampant and honor killings and apostate killings happen on a regular basis.

I trust the word of Sister Hatune Dogan, a Turkish-German Orthodox Christian nun who grew up in Turkey and experienced the fanaticism of Turkish Muslims first-hand, more than any anonymous Internet forum posters — particularly when the latter is defending Turkish Muslims either out of ethnic/Islamic pride or non-Muslim asymptotic spasms that move them to be as impressed as schoolgirls by nice friendly Muslims in exotic lands.
Sister Hatune in recent interviews has described her childhood in Turkey, where she and other Christian children had to endure going to a Christian school that was controlled and staffed by Turkish Muslims forcing a hatefully Islamic curriculum on them, where Muslim teachers, among other indignities, told the Christian pupils that they were Giaour (Turkish for “filthy infidels”) and that because they were Giaour, they “deserved to die”. Sister Hatune also tells how her father, who worked for the local police force, was routinely reviled by his Muslim coworkers and superiors and was beaten. Et cetera, ad Islamo-infinitum, ad Islamonauseam.
Sister Hatune now lives in Germany. She travels widely (she recently toured the Middle East bravely to see with her own eyes the persecution of Christians by Muslims) and has established an organization to help Christians who suffer under the persecution and slaughters perpetrated by Muslims in the Middle East.
In a video not too long ago, she described, after describing her experiences in Turkey, at one point she said:
“The Turkish people are the most fanatic there is… To others — when they speak — it’s secular, liberal, European rights, but when they act, it’s the most fanatic people on earth.”

When all his followers go into the streets why hasn’t there been a group of British men wade right into them with fists flying? Why are you being pussies?

Because we no longer have the will.
After 60 years of Cultural Marxism we are a psychologically defeated civilisation who will watch our own demise from the comfort of our self built cages lapping up the bread and circuses delivered to our door. Apathy-Dependency-Bondage.
Marty says
Anywhere on Earth that a muslim finds himself is automatically expected to bend
to his demands.
All civilised Westerners should curse the political classes who permitted these people
to enter, and steadily colonise, our part of the World.

I was arrested my first year in Kuwait as a civilian, 2003, when on Day 1 of Ramadan out of habit and simply forgetting I walked out of my apartment early in the morning with a Red Bull in hand, opened and sipping while I was stretching for a run. Cops screeched around and came on me aggressively like they’d found a murderer or rapist and threw me in a cell to high fives from their buddies in the station. Had to call the US Embassy to get me out, which they did and had a Q8E political minister with them to chew some ass and take names in the station.

Why not kick (kill would be better) these guys in their ass when they travel to non-Muslim countries?

I’m glad those Kuwaitis were soooooo thankful for getting their country back. in 1991. I remember seeing all the photos of gilded kuwaiti youth hanging around the bars in Beiruit and cairo waiting for the 101st Airborne, 1st Armored, and the Marines to drive those mean Iraqis back over the border. Gang of wankers.
Caroline says
I remember reading how an American soldier asked one of those young Kuwaitis why he wasn’t fighting for his country. The arrogant, spoiled brat replied to the effect ‘that’s what we pay you to do for us’. They really weren’t worth the effort.
Don Foss says
There were very few Q8Es to be found in Kuwait in ´91 & ´92, and those that did stay were mostly Beduins…not considered Q8E by their government No biggty. Flying sandals being thrown by cowards on the run weren’t going to help us liberate them so they could come back to their country safely.
Mary Derrick Thornberry says
Why is this presumably devout Muslim wearing shorts?
The area of a man’s body between the waist and the knees is haram and should not be
displayed by an adherent.
TheBuffster says
I was wondering about the hair. That doesn’t look like the hair of a devout Muslim. Not my idea of devout hair, anyway. He seems a bit mod for a guy that gets his knickers in a twist over people eating during Ramadan in France. Are we absolutely sure he’s actually a Muslim and not some white pride guy being a s**thead?
I wish my French was better. I didn’t understand a thing he said.
duh_swami says
Why was he carrying that stick around? I notice the coward acted fast and then ran away. The moral of that story…never trust a Mahoundian wearing red shorts and carrying a stick…
Oliver says
Duh,
I think the moral of the story (should be) NEVER TRUST A MUSLIM. PERIOD.
Just my view

Poor dear, he has clearly lost his marbles. He’s probably a substance abuser outside of Ramadan and he can’t cope with the withdrawal symptoms …

Just to point it out in case no one knows , this video was supposed to be a joke. This dude is a “comedian” and posts a lot of “alleged” humorous videos. Needless to say that he is not famous and will never will be, he probably dug his own grave this week posting this nonsense, I hope that he gets locked up for provocation so that he learns a lesson.

Oh he’s just cranky because of his low blood sugar. That’s what not eating on ramadan will do to you.

I worked in N. Yemen in the 80’s & 90’s. We were told NOT to be out on the streets after dark during Ramadan due to all the drunk drivers and men absolutely wasted oh ghat. The greatest majority were great and very tolerant of us foreigners but some were real a-holes.

I very much enjoyed the comments since they show east vs west and never the twain shall meet. As much as Turkey wants to join the West, it can’t and shouldn’t ever be allowed to. 60 million sharia loving uneducated Turks joining the modern world would be the final disaster for Europe. I hope Michael Palin has had a rethink! The EU was a bust, admit it. Let the UK be Briish, let France be France let every country be who they are. Without the falsity and the lying. The euro was a false construct. All the figures on the Euro bills were lies as were the buildings. LIES ALL Lies. This false construct by the EU will die its much needed death. We all know those who shunted this terrible and nasty lie on ordinary people will never pay the price for their lies and deception. Why shouldn’t they?

@Cartimandua – I read JW regularly as much for the comments section as for the articles. There are some very bright people who comment regularly, and I find I have much to learn from the dialectic. Glad you appreciated the back and forth!)))
I had a Turkish friend, operative word being “had”. We were quite close friends over a twenty year period, then she dumped me in an utterly irrational way. An interesting woman: very, very bright, really a sharp and thoughtful mind, but nuts! I never saw ANYONE drink the way she did. Never. And I’ve enjoyed some some drinking communities in my day. She worked for a law firm. She also liked to flirt with or aggressively pursue or sleep with every single one of my boyfriends!
I am not sure whether she was Muslim; she was not a Christian. So she may have been nominally a Muslim. She lived in NYC, as I did. This was 1980 to 2000. During that time, I saw her become increasingly concerned about developments in her beloved Turkey. She was a proud Turk. She was very worried about the Muslim religion undoing the work of Ataturk. She was also horrified at the idea of an Islamist government and, of course, that happened by election. She was mortified when the women ELECTED to start wearing the burkah again.
My friend’s mother was a JUDGE in Istanbul. I met her several times through the years, a lovely woman. They were all very liberated, I thought. My friend never gave up her Turkish citizenship, even though she was married for many years to a well-known editorial writer and had a daughter here in the USA. The reason I’m rambling on about her is that when she left Turkey to come to the USA in about 1975, her ma was a judge, and things were pretty copacetic in Turkey. Women’s rights flourished. That was my impression from what she said in early days, but as time went on, my friend grew more and more unhappy with what was happening in Turkey.
When I met her mother, the judge, retired, she confirmed my friend’s growing concern about the increasing trend toward Islamist fundamentalism, if I might call it that. She was disappointed that women were giving up their independence and returning to that slavish shariah-regulated system.
You seem to think, though, that there was never a time when Turkey embraced and embodied Western values. Did I misunderstand you? Do you disagree with the impression my crazy Turkish friend gave me of those years when the secular government was thriving? In spite of what I might call her “idiosyncracies” (lol) she was one of the brightest, craziest women I have ever known. I’d give anything to pick her brain now! Cheers – Quotha R

@Cartimandua – Yikes. I just read what I wrote to you, and it seems to me my friend is a living example of why Turkey, as you say, will never integrate with Western culture nor embrace its values! Part of my friend’s charm was her unpredictability, but she did behave in very surprising and puzzling ways and was completely disloyal in the end. Tsk! Quotha
Robert Arthur Gillis says
Appreciated reading all of the preceding commentaries, and discerned, as well as unequivocally concluded, that the ‘Problem’ obviously is rooted in ‘Elected’ Political Representatives, are perceived to represent “themselves” first, before directing ‘any’ attention to Who and Why they were elected! Universally ALL Political Parties and their Caucus colleagues, – dependent upon the degree of authoritative ‘competence’ he/she personally has as a “Leader” of that group, – will reflect the ‘worst’ aspects of human nature in upholding their Oath of Office! This can properly be ascribed to how ‘appreciated’ their ‘efforts’ by the Electorate are perceived to be! Is the laxity as well as the magnanimity of immigration Policies reflective of this perception, due in part to the incompatibility of Cultural and Religious factions now becoming obvious, to be regarded as “Pay-back” by our Elected Governments?
quotha raven says
@Robert Arthur Gillis – Your remarks oversimplify a bit, I think. I’d give some thought to the overwhelming and immediate power of bureaucracies like the EPA and Dept of Education and other huge entities who crush businesses and people and kiss the ass of big government and private globalist multinationals. I don’t know what you call it, but I call it fascism.
And then there’s the Supreme Court, right? And how about the UN and Agenda 21? Could you reserve at least twenty lashes of a spanking for Hollywood and the film propaganda bizzness? Wait. That might not be enough. Yew Hew…big banks? The Fed? Lobbyists? IMF? AND, for the specific interest of Jihad Watch, WHAT ABOUT THE GLOBAL JIHADIST MOVEMENT WE ALL GRAPPLE WITH HERE? STEALTH AND VIOLENT.
I like what you posted well enough, but it is only a small part (if plenty visible) of the powerful entities we in the USA face. To say politicians are yucky doesn’t address the big picture. Cheers! Quotha
