“Italy is not intimidated,” said Italy’s Foreign Affairs Minister Paolo Gentiloni. But Italy is under siege from Islamic jihadists who hold the same beliefs as those who bombed the consulate; they’re entering Europe with the flood of “refugees” from Libya. If Italy is not intimidated, it needs to act quickly.
“1 dead, 9 hurt in car bomb blast at Italian Consulate in Egypt,” by Sarah Sirgany, CNN, July 11, 2015 (thanks to Marc):
Cairo (CNN)A car bomb exploded outside the Italian Consulate in downtown Cairo early Saturday morning, killing at least one person and significantly damaging part of the building, authorities said.
Nine others were injured in the blast, the health ministry said.
No group immediately claimed responsibility.
Egypt has seen escalating attacks by Islamist militants. The Saturday incident was the first attack targeting a consulate or an embassy in recent years.
None of the victims were consulate staffers, Italy’s Foreign Affairs Minister Paolo Gentiloni said in a tweet.
“Italy is not intimidated,” he added.
The consulate is located in the heart of the city on a busy intersection. The Italian Embassy is in a different neighborhood.
The timing of the blast — early in the morning on a weekend — helped minimize casualties. On week days, the area is teeming with pedestrians and vehicle traffic.
“There’s significant damage to the side of the building, a wall has collapsed and there was blood on the debris,” photographer David Degner told CNN from the scene.
The explosion damaged the side of the consulate facing a vacant lot.
Degner said he saw at least one burned and twisted wheel.
Police pushed back a crowd of several hundred people who converged on the blast site, Degner said.
Increasing attacks
Militants have killed hundreds of policemen and soldiers since the overthrow of Islamist President Mohamed Morsy in July 2013.
Early last week, the chief prosecutor was killed in a car bomb targeting his convoy. Two days later, ISIS-aligned Ansar Beit Al Maqdis (now called the “State of Sinai”) militants attacked 15 army outposts in North Sinai killing 21 soldiers. Following an hours-long battle, the army said it killed over 200 terrorists.
The government is discussing a new terrorism law that was criticized by local rights groups and the Journalists’ Syndicate as counterproductive and unconstitutional….

Italy has been front line for a while, with 100s of thousands of muslim migrants using it as a gateway to europe.

We need more dialogue – this will solve the problem the world faces since 1400 years once and for all.
Or not?
It’s time certain people realize that the only acceptable agreement between Islam and the West – in the eyes of the Jihadis is to surrender under islamic rule. Therefore kicking butts, exposing Islam for what it is and massive deportation is the answer, not some useless dialogue with people who do not accept you as equals in the first place.

Well, the Roman Catholics don’t have need of such an organization, given the present infallible pope, who embraces and kisses the ring of Islam every chance he gets. One can’t say he is without influence in Italy and the world. I’m not Roman Catholic, but this pope impresses me as rather dangerous.
He embraces communism, too, from my interpretation of his political/economic remarks. I find this quite jarring, as he is Polish and must be aware of how communist takeover by Soviet Union went down in Poland. Maybe the pope, too, approves of rounding up all the intellectuals and slaughtering them wholesale. But what can he possibly think of the violent, murderous treatment of Christians by Muslims around the world? I wish he would just stick to cruising around in the popemobile, gently waving and smiling benevolently and blessing people who embrace Christian values. Cheers! Quotha R

quotha raven, you wrote in regard to the Pope, ” I find this quite jarring, as he is Polish…”
I believe that Pope Francis is from Argentina.
Best regards!

To Emmie – Oh, my goodness, BRAIN CRAMP. I knew that! Thank you for correcting me; I misspoke.
Argentina is an interesting place for the pope to be from; that country has been sanctuary to a load of Nazis from WWII.
Thanks again for the correction. Cheers! Quotha

The remaining roman empire in the form of the vatican needs to be abolished. This hypocritical whore-organisation should not even posess the right to call itself “christian” – for they clearly represent everything Jesus taught against. Still people follow these clowns in their robes. Laughable, really.

Sorry but, like the neo-Nazi’s who led the coup in Ukraine
THEY ARE FLOWN IN
AND
THEY ARE FLOWN OUT WITH THE EASY OF BUTTER MELTING IN THE SUN.
No identification papers or permits required.
It was estimated that 3.000 neo-Nazi’s were flown in & out of Ukraine so as to participate in the fake coup.
NO QUESTIONS ASKED.
They are stilll trying to discover what happened to the GOLD of the Ukraine that disappeared into thin air it seems.
The gold was said to be safe at the US Federal Reserve
Then they said they had no knowledge of any gold.
Which begs the question – which master do they serve & for what purpose ?
Terrorists / mercenaries do not sneak in anywhere they are transported in style & with ease.

Maybe indeed government of Italy is not “intimidated” (what they care that people die, as long their governmental jobs do not suffer?) but most certainly they keep their heads in the sand. And they will continue to do so as long they stay in power. After that – it maybe too late to act and heads will (literally) roll.
No Fear says
The government is not inimidated by Jihadis but it is intimidated by leftists who say it is “racist” to stop Jihadis from coming in to the country.

Italy needs to be a little ‘intimidated’…to be otherwise is OUT OF TOUCH WITH REALITY.
Italian politicians needs to knuckle down and learn about the jihad doctrine and STOP BRINGING TERRORISTS INTO EUROPE.
The pope is misguided in his calls for letting an uncontrolled number of invaders into Italy. This is not ‘Christian’ or ‘compassionate’…it’s MEGA-STUPID.
If you want ‘compassion’ create programs to help the people stay in their home countries!

Italy, my country, is already under siege. Italians are put on the side by millions of foreigners, Amongts them thousands of aggressive muslims, I cannot recognize my own city, Milan. But the same can be said for any big o small village. Foreigners everywhere. Wherever I go I get across with “extracomunitari” as we call foreigners coming from outer the EU. They get subside, money, house and a great support from local municipalities while Italians are left alone to sort out their basic problems. I do not want to exagerate but the situation is dire. Talking to friends and ordinary people we all share the same feeling, frustration and despartion for the situation. Our political leaders (most left wing oriented but even right wing) tell us that we must stay quite, we must be hospitable and let more immigrants coming in because we are rich!! Perhaps they are rich because we are not. We struggle every day with my wife to bring home the bacon. Hospitals and schools system is on the verge of collapsing. My hearth is bleeding. Believe or not but my mother (86 years old) tells me everyday that she doesn’t recognize anymore her own Milan.

Here in Canada we see the TV News stations covering the stories of the immigrants crossing the Mediterranean Sea into Italy. It seems like every other day a new boat load of foreigners, by the hundreds, are landing on the shores of Italy. And the boats that get into trouble on the sea are rescued by the Italian Coast Guard or Navy, brought safely to shore and are looked after. The Italian government is making it too easy for these foreigners to invade the shores like an infestation of cockroaches. The Italian people must have their voices heard before their government turns beautiful Italy into a refugee camp. How will Italy house and feed these invaders??? Italy belongs to the Italian people, but it is the ‘jewel’ of Europe and MUST BE preserved!!!
