Yet gay activists in the West tend to side with Leftists who consider resistance to jihad terror to be “Islamophobia.” Suicidal short-sightedness. When Pamela Geller and I ran ads in San Francisco calling attention to Islamic law’s mistreatment of gays, the San Francisco city council denounced not the persecution of gays in Muslim countries, but our ads. Theresa Sparks, a transgender, led the charge. See also Chris Stedman, a gay activist who has written articles denouncing us for daring to call attention to Islamic mistreatment of gays. Also, when Pamela Geller was invited by a gay activist who is on her side to write an article about Islam’s mistreatment of gays for the Advocate, it was rejected. The gay movement is obviously firmly in the Leftist camp, and the Left generally considers resistance to jihad terror to be “Islamophobia.”
“Posters threatening gays with death appear in Turkish capital,” AFP, June 7, 2015:
ANKARA: A Turkish Islamist group has pinned posters to walls and posts in the capital Ankara threatening gays with death, adding to concerns over growing intolerance against homosexuals in the country, an AFP correspondent said Tuesday.
The appearance of the posters in Ankara comes just over a week after Turkish police prevented Istanbul’s annual gay pride march – a successful tradition in the last years – from going ahead and used water cannon against activists who showed defiance.
“Should those who practice the foul labor and adhere to the practice of the people of Lot be killed?” said the posters that appeared in the Turkish capital overnight.
The prophet Lot, who features in the Old Testament and the Koran, is decried by many Muslims for failing to halt the decline of the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah, which was blamed on the sexual preferences of their inhabitants.
A hitherto low-key Islamist group called the Young Islamic Defense claimed responsibility for the poster campaign through a Twitter account @islamimudafaa, saying it was trying to “respond to the immoral actions” of lesbians, gays and bisexuals.
The poster showed an image of a past gay pride march in Istanbul and the group said it was seeking to respond to such events.
The group said that the phrase used was a hudud – an Islamic concept – from the Koran.
Anti-riot police in Istanbul used teargas and fired rubber pellets to disperse thousands of participants in the city’s Gay Pride march on June 28, with the authorities saying the event had not received the proper authorization.
Activists said that the authorities had tried to justify the ban by saying such an event could not take place during the Muslim holy month of Ramadan.…

I’d like to see the gay couples seek out any Muslim bakeries here and ask them if they’ll bake a wedding cake for them. I’m willing to believe they won’t do so as Jesse Watters tried to do so. If they don’t, then the gay couples should either treat them like the Kleines (Clines?) or leave the Klines alone. We shouldn’t have any double standards in our country.

Why should homosexuals be given special treatment?! The fact that two lesbians want to sue a nice, Christian couple because the Christian couple adheres to their Christian faith and didn’t want to make the cake, that is disgusting! The Christian couple are heroes, and why should Christians be persecuted for refusing to make a cake for two lesbians! I would have denied it as well.
Shame on the US for this persecution of Christians! As a Christian here in Scandinavia, I am now deeply disgusted with the country that I used to admire.

“Shunned”: A film about Palestinian gays and lesbians in Israel
http://www.therebel.media/_shunned_a_film_about_palestinian_gays_and_lesbians_in_israel
The Rebel is proud to present the world online premiere of Shunned, a documentary by Igal Hecht about Palestinian gays and lesbians seeking refuge in Israel.
See, in North America, we argue over whether or not bakeries should be compelled to bake gay wedding cakes. In much of the Muslim world, the gay rights issues are different: they debate whether to hang gays, as they do in Iran; or throw them off the tops of buildings, as they do in the new Islamic State.
Shunned shows western liberal audiences — who often condemn Israel, for trumped up “human rights offenses” — that when it comes to basic civil rights, Israel is miles ahead of any other country in the region.

Not sure they’re stoning people to death in Israel. Not sure what point you’re trying to make but it’s warped at best.

Apologies. I replied to your post in error. The perils of different windows open on different websites. My reply isn’t related to your post at all.
Great post by the way and spot on !

It is beyond baffling why all our leaders keep bending over backwards to tell us it’s a religion of peace. We are sleep walking to disaster until the masses wake up and put a stop to the creeping cancer that is trying to drag us back to the Middle Ages.
The left must be so confused. if you criticise Islam for its treatment of gays you’re islamophonic and the real issue is swept under the carpet as it’s just not a convenient truth.

But . . . but . . . but murder of other Muzzies and Christians as a sacred part of the holy month of Ramadan: hey, that’s A-Okay! Allah approves!

So, it’s wrong to denounce gays but even more wrong to denounce Islam.
Got it.

Will Christians have to bake ‘goodbye’ cakes for the homosexual men before they’re being put to death?

So…..how is the supreme court’s illegal ruling on same-sex marriage going to co-exist in the new United States of Islam that Obummer is foisting upon us, the citizens of this once-great country??? Bet they haven’t thought of that “unintended consequence”!!!

The Turkish group who is inciting the killing of homosexuals, the Young Islamic Defense, is a fascist organisation. It is amazing that the LGBT moveemnt in developed countries is so parochial that they won’t come to the defense of gay people in muslim countries, preferring instead to believe it dosn’t happen. I am continually surprised how blind the Left is to the truth of Islamic fascism.
Ed says
Spot on, the left ties itself up in knots, as by trying to support all ‘minorities’ they all start letting each other down.
Common sense is the only way forward.
Condemn what is clearly wrong. Support what is progressive and values all human life

I think that’s because they simply don’t care. When they say “we’re queer, we’re here”, they mean just that: they’re *here*, and they don’t care about what happens *there*. Same for “feminists”, “transgenderism”, “transracials”, and all other sorts of -isms and -als – they’re always ready to criticize any perceived attempt on their rights *here* while turning a blind eye to what goes on the rest of the world. It doesn’t really matter that Western civilization is the most tolerant, advanced, freedom-loving civilization that ever existed. Forget that gays are being hanged from construction cranes in Iran – they will have *this* bakery and *that* flower store catering to their wedding, which will take place on *that* church, otherwise everyone is a bigoted homophobe deserving of public excoriation, and f*** the rest of the world, they’ll just shame them into submission later on, if needed.

Stop wasting your breath trying to recruit the LGBTQ’s to the anti-jihad cause. A better message would be to issue a call to repentance while there is still time. LGBTQ Leftism is there because the whole LGBTQ thing is a self-destructive bacillus in our society, and hence it will instinctively side with whatever is trying to destroy our society.
I’m sorry, but you’ll have a hard time convincing me that a catamite is healthy and that a sodomite is not just a little cruel. If you’re going to tear up the lowest end of your digestive tract, you’re going to get fecal residue in your bloostream. As for transgenders, they have noticeably higher rates of suicide than the population in gender–perhaps because trying to be the other sex indicates a very fundamental dissatisfaction with the self as is. And, did anyone else ever notice that as soon as the sexual “liberation” thing took off back in the Silly ‘Sixties and Sillier ‘Seventies, a massive push for abortion as a near-sacrament of American womanhood followed hard on the heels of women discovering that their liberated boyfriends left for further adventures while leaving the women with the babies?
As for suggesting that the SSM crowd try to go ask Muslim clergy and caterers to bless their events, I will go on record that if the s— hits the fan in such a case, I will, on religious liberty and free speech grounds, cheer for the Muslims, and perhaps even donate to a defense fund for them (even if I believe that Islam is disgusting blasphemy). I see the treatment of the Klines in Oregon and Baronelle Sturtzmann in Washington as set-ups, which honest judges would’ve seen through in a minute. And, perhaps it is because Western countries are so eager to see the last of their Christianity, and have elected leaders who are using LGBTQ “rights” to help the process along, that this productive and flourishing civilization is finding itself prey to a rival civilization that basically produces slums surrounded by deserts governed by arbitrary tyranny.
Perhaps, deep down inside, the “gays” really want to be butt-raped by gangs of hairy toughs; or, perhaps, the playboy license granted to powerful males in Islam appeals to the sodomites? After all, it is the catamite of whom they tire (and then inform on?) who will get stoned, hanged, or thrown off a building.
Robert, don’t forget you’re a Christian. Stable, exclusive, heterosexual marriage is the foundation of any society, which is why the Christian faith has always frowned on both divorce and perversion.
