Today’s weak and pusillanimous Christian leaders of the West are far too concerned with pursuing a chimerical, deceptive and self-defeating “dialogue” with Muslim leaders to speak out about this persecution. In fact, entities such as the U.S. Catholic bishops have even moved actively to silence voices speaking honestly about why this persecution is happening. They’re afraid that honest discussion about it will harm the “dialogue” — a dialogue that hasn’t saved even on Christian’s life or kept even one church from being burned.
“Activists say hundreds of Syrian Christian families flee town as Islamic State fighters near,” Associated Press, August 8, 2015:
BEIRUT – Activists say hundreds of Christian families are fleeing a central Syrian town as Islamic State fighters advance toward it.
Osama Edward, the director of the Christian Assyrian Network for Human Rights in Syria, said “hundreds of families” have fled the Christian town of Sadad toward the government-held central city of Homs and the capital, Damascus.
Syria-based activist Bebars al-Talawy says intense clashes took place Saturday near the central town of Qaryatain, which the Islamic State group captured on Thursday. Qaryatain is about 25 kilometers (15 miles) northwest of Sadad….

Pastors and priests who deny or ignore persecution of Christians deny Christ.
“… ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’”
Leith Wood says
Pastors, priests and also Christians, who deny or ignore the persecution of Christians deny Jesus Christ! You are so right and it is sickening. I asked a member of an Episcopal church why they were not praying for fellow Christians, who are being slaughtered for their belief in Christ. The response, with a straight face, was that that is political. I bring this topic up often with others, including ministers. Where is their courage? At least my children and grand children will know I tried to change things. Thank you for writing.
Godwin says
Those Christians should take up arms n fight to the last women. Don’t be Jesus’ sheep waiting to be slaughtered.
Charli Main says
“Don’t be Jesus’ sheep waiting to be slaughtered”.
I´m not a bible scholar, so I can´t quote chapter and verse but I understand that Jesus said if someone insults or abuses you ” turn the other cheek”
Jesus, to my knowledge, never said that if someone is burning down your house, raping your wife, sodomising you children or hacking your head off, you should turn the other cheek and let them do it.
Jay Boo says
Leith,
Islam in contrast to Christianity is full of bitter emptiness.
There is no true joy in Islam.
Muslims desperately try and fail to quench their thirst in Islam’s Dead Sea of vile verse.
While Godwin’s plan is to take up arms might provide some temporary defense a more effective long term solution is to expose just how vulnerable Islam is in its core ideology that is not just evil but laughable in that someone like Muhammad would dare to call himself a prophet.
All that is needed to eviscerate Islam is for good people to reveal Islam’s beast.
There is good news throughout the world still.
Jay Boo says
Also thanks for mentioning,
“The response, with a straight face, was that that is political”
That illustrates very clearly the challenge ahead in educating others who are temporally misguided. With the right approach, I believe they may yet embrace the truth.
Manuel Paleologus says
You are a genuine Christian. God bless you. I pray daily for our brethren persecuted all over the world.
Shane says
Gutless liberal dhimmis are intimidated by liberals for saying the truth about Islam and jihad by the accusation of being racist, although Islam is not a race. Our schools and colleges are teaching the nonsense that Islam is a religon of peace and that the word jihad does not mean holy war.
If Shillary is elected, the jihad will have won a major victory against the West.

Where is Senator McCain? e should use his influence over his Mujahidin friends, the freedom and democracy fighters he helped develop in Syriaa!!
Alarmed Pig Farmer says
The flap over The Donald’s putdown of McCain missed the point. There is plenty to drag the egregious McCain up and down the mud pit for, but The Donald instead bitch slaps him for crash landing his F4 Phantom in that lake in downtown Hanoi… right next to an arms dump filled with hundreds of SAM missiles shipped in from the Urals.
Another example of how right Thomas Sowell was in his series of essays entitled Can’t Republicans Speak?

The record books maintained by the IOC prove that men run faster than women. But I betcha in this scene the gals are running faster than the guys. Something about sex slavery, a concept declared as righteous and good in the holy scriptures of Islam.
One wonders why all the presidential candidates have declared Islam a great religion. Me, call me a maverick, but I’m stalwart against sex slavery, or slavery of any kind, for that matter. But we’re stuck in the audio loop of “one of the world’s great religions” and “one of the three Abrahamic faiths.”
Angemon says
These are the people Western countries should be taking in – actual refugees.
Alarmed Pig Farmer says
We don’t have the room cuz of all the Moslems we take in to give them refuge from… themselves.
nicu says
Exactly – all these Muslim ” refugees ” from the middle east and Africa run over our countries day and night — 240.000 applications are not edited , yet and they stream in – pampered by our lefties and government .
No space for women , children – Christians !
jewdog says
Maybe it’s time for literal Christian Zionism, ie, that Christians undertake an organized reconquest of Muslim lands. Not that they will.
Alarmed Pig Farmer says
Yeah, the Zionism had started in the 19th century when they started buying land from Moslem landlords in Israel, then came the Palestinian Mandate impelled by the historic mass murder of Jews by the Nazis, with not a little help from the French, Lithuanians, and Russians. There is no such force behind the Christians to take back the lands they have lost, which by the way extends well beyond the Holy Land to include all of Asia Minor.
Martin Vink says
Are you suggesting that the Roman Catholic Church is actually empowering Islam? Is there a prophecy that covers that?
Matthieu Baudin says
Also a case of ‘out of sight – out of mind’ or perhaps the alternative eastern version ‘see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil’. Given that most of our current high profile church leaders are pampered careerists it’s probably expecting too much for them to behave with the courage, compassion and evident self sacrifice of the early church leadership or the outstanding example set by many local Christian leaders and their flock throughout the developing world.
JerryS says
It’s either flee or stand and fight. But they have no weapons to defend themselves. So flee is the option.
