“Severely traumatized”? By being invited to the White House and the United Nations? By being lauded on the trendiest TV shows? By getting gifts from Mark Zuckerberg and Microsoft, and an invitation to attend MIT? Just a few days ago the “severely traumatized” lad was exulting about being the most famous boy on earth. The family’s victimhood posturing ought now to be obvious to even the most blinkered multiculturalist, but no doubt the blinkered and self-deceived will keep on being blinkered and self-deceived.
Meanwhile, the most ominous aspect of this story is this: “The family wants justice and to ensure no family will ever have to experience what Ahmed went through again.” In other words, they want to ensure that no young Muslim will ever again be questioned for suspicious behavior or having a suspicious object. This will give a free hand to Islamic jihad murderers: authorities afraid of being accused of “Islamophobia” will refrain from investigating or detaining them.

IRVING — The family of a 14-year-old Irving student arrested for bringing a homemade clock to school earlier this month has retained lawyers and is seeking to regain his science project from the Irving Police Department.
Ahmed Mohamed’s parents say they’ve un-enrolled their three children from the Irving School District “because of religious persecution” and have decided to home-school them. Mohamed’s arrest made national headlines, prompting invites from the White House, Facebook and other tech companies.
The Irving high school student who was arrested for bringing a digital clock to school now has a lawyer.
“The family says that Ahmed has been severely traumatized. The family wants justice and to ensure no family will ever have to experience what Ahmed went through again,” a press release sent Wednesday stated….
