Exposing the role that Islamic jihad theology and ideology play in the modern global conflicts

Philadelphia: Muslim teen arrested for Islamic State jihad plot against Pope

Sep 15, 2015 9:22 am By Robert Spencer

“Their ‘innovative use of social media and messaging has played a key role in motivating young U.S.-based males and females to travel to join the self-declared Islamic State or allegedly attempt to conduct attacks in the Homeland on behalf of’ ISIS, the bulletin said.” This FBI-DHS bulletin is completely out of focus. The Islamic State doesn’t win over young Muslims because of its innovative use of social media. The Islamic State wins over young Muslims because of the appeal of its message, particularly its claim to be the caliphate, the only legitimate government for Muslims. But the FBI and DHS are bound as a matter of policy to ignore that message, so they pretend that this is all happening because of the Islamic State’s slick packaging.

APTOPIX Italy Pope Epiphany

“Teen Arrested for Planning Alleged ISIS-Inspired Attack on Pope,” by Pierre Thomas, Mike Levine and Jack Date, ABC News, September 15, 2015 (thanks to Bulldog):

The FBI quietly arrested a 15-year-old boy outside of Philadelphia last month for allegedly threatening to launch an ISIS-inspired assault on Pope Francis while the world leader tours the United States next week, ABC News has learned.

The case, like so many others in recent months, highlights just how effective ISIS has become in using social media to radicalize Americans, particularly children.

“The minor was inspired by [ISIS] and sought to conduct a detailed homeland attack which included multiple attackers, firearms, and multiple explosives, targeting a foreign dignitary at a high-profile event,” according to a joint intelligence bulletin by the FBI and Department of Homeland Security issued to law enforcement across the country on Aug 14.

The “foreign dignitary” mentioned in that bulletin is the Pope, who will finish his U.S. trip with two days of events in Philadelphia, sources told ABC News. In fact, the case is what the chairman of the House Homeland Security Committee, Mike McCaul, was likely referring to Sunday when he disclosed that U.S. authorities “have disrupted one particular case” involving threats to attack the Pope, sources said.

“The minor obtained explosives instructions and further disseminated these instructions through social media,” according to the joint intelligence bulletin.

The boy has been charged with attempting to provide material support to a terrorist organization and attempting to provide material support to terrorist activity, the bulletin added.

But sources familiar with the case emphasized that any threat from him was not imminent, and that the boy’s plans were “aspirational.” Additionally, the sources said, there are questions about the boy’s mental health.

In addition, despite repeated threats from ISIS and other groups to target the Pope and the Vatican more broadly over the past year, there is no specific, credible threat to the Pope during his visit to the United States next week, law enforcement officials said Monday….

Meanwhile, the FBI-DHS intelligence bulletin noted that “several recent instances” –- including the case now tied to the Pope’s upcoming visit -– “demonstrate some youth are vulnerable to messaging from [ISIS] and its supporters.”

Their “innovative use of social media and messaging has played a key role in motivating young U.S.-based males and females to travel to join the self-declared Islamic State or allegedly attempt to conduct attacks in the Homeland on behalf of” ISIS, the bulletin said….

Boys are attracted to ISIS because they at least show power.
Obama shows nothing . Power is shunned in USA.
Theres more concern for Caitlynn Jenner than making our youth strong.

Our kids are wimpy compared to the past generations.

This probably all started when people were spitting at the vietnam troops.

You’d think that Caliph Ibrahim would issue a private missive to Pope Frank thanking him for his obeisance… and his public mealy mouth statements equivalency cover story. That’s the perfect narrative under which the Caliph can to operate his hyper-expansion project.

Times have changed. Back in the day, the Cause spread from Mecca to Gibraltar in a matter of decades. With modern communication, the Caliph may be able to execute a much broader expansion in half the time. The hard part is retaining territory once gotten. For example, already the Commie Vlad is looking to make trouble for the Caliph in the Levant, and the Caliph is set to counter punch in Central Asia.

Will the assassination of a liberal pope carrying a baby lamb be enough to wake up the liberal Left?

      Jay Boo,

That’s a VERY good question. Another thing to consider, if that did happen would the ending result be an excuse for the jack-booted feds directed by the M.B. operative in the whitehouse to expedite the lock-down of our dwindling liberty?

I was thinking along similar lines, that the assasination of this Pope by a Muzzie might be the best thing to happen to the Church. This Pope is clueless and a Socialist.

IF there is to be an assassination of this Pope, let it happen SOMEWHERE OTHER THEN THE US.

Preferably in France, Britain or a Scandinavian country, or the Vatican itself.

Don’t that crap happening here, and if the murderer is caught, spending our money on a trial and then prison time.

(I could not care less if he was assassinated, incidentally–I think that he is an asshole, or merely severely naive).

Muslims are sick in appearance only. In fact they are not mentally ill, by Islamic standards. They are “religiously” (I couldn’t resist the pun) following their plan of attack as spelled out in the Koran. Judaeo Christians that are in close proximity to them do become confused and possibly imbalanced. This is all part of the Koranic plan of attack. A snake also confuses its prey prior to attack.

For anyone who compares Islamic fundamentalism (such as the Pope has done) with Christian fundamentalism, please note that Christian fundamentalists strictly follow the example of Christ. Christ was not a killer like Mohammed. He was a healer, He saved and protected lives.

Pope Francis is in bed with the socialists who have a well earned reputation as killers. Someone here at JW also pointed out that Islam is responsible for killing far more than the 100 million murdered by the socialists compadres of Pope Francis in the last 100 years.

The Pope has a consistent message that centers on love, hope, reflection, and forgiveness. He’s an intelligent man. He understands history. I’m afraid an assassination would do nothing to change the Catholic faith. It would just mean another “victory” for muslims.

      Sep 15, 2015 at 12:34 pm

The catholic faith is not dependent on the pope although he supposedly sets an example. He could however lead the faithful astray as other prelates undoubtedly have.

If the pope was to be assassinated by an ROP type under the ROP guidance, then it would be very difficult for the world to ignore. That said, the media will no doubt twist, turn and contort to squeeze out some lame deflection on behalf the ROP. There will also be a list of celebrities, politicians and other public figures lined up to prop up the ROP. Nevertheless, during all this, ordinary people will wake up a little bit more.

The ROP can commit some of the worst atrocities today and still get a hall pass. However, there is a breaking point .. for everything.

The Vatican would then replace the cross on top of Michaelangelo’s dome with a crescent and put the Pieta in the basement storage unit and cover it with a tarp. The statues along the top of the double colonnades would have to come down. And the Sistine Chapel frescoes would have to be painted over with geometric designs or calligraphy of the Shahada….

So….can they show photos of the parents of the “child” and where they live?

With all the Muslim “refugees” infiltrating Europe as we speak, It may not too far away to see Rome as another Constantinople. Muslims are united in this goal and the European leaders, the Pope, and our US leaders don’t care.

In 4 minutes and 57 seconds, brilliant wonderful courageous counter-jihadist David Wood answers the question ceaselessly coming through blathering lips on the heads of clueless Western-values media types:

“Well, shucks, if Islam is violent, why are so gosh-darn many Muslims peaceful ??????” Go here — www dot answeringmuslims dot com. Via his search box, type “The Jihad Triangle”.

And if you ever can budget 25 undistracted minutes between those very important football games popping up now like lesions on a smallpox sufferer, try this one:

    * * * * * * THREE STAGES OF JIHAD * * * * * * (With a fourth stage appended at the conclusion — stay tuned until the very end.)

You could even take notes, jotting down Mr. Wood’s meticulously cited references to the Trilogy, just in case a bloviating friend or relative accuses him of “cherry picking” passages.

Hello again, APF . . .You mention Draft Kings, bringing to mind something I wonder about:

        1. Is there a regulatory authority ensuring this gaming site is honestly run?

        2. Following whatever odds-payout percentages apply in such a situation?

I would look into it myself, but chores seem to come up, like rearranging my silverware drawer or teaching my pet ferrets to properly use a napkin.

“The first hijra conquered Jerusalem in 638. The second hijra conquered Constantinople in 1453. Two of the three oldest and holiest cities for Christians were conquered by Muslims.

    Except for Rome.

This, now, is the third hijra. According to certain voices in the Islamic world, it will be the final hijra, the one that will conquer Rome.

In Islamic circles, there has been a long-held belief that Christianity — and specifically, the Catholic Church — is the main obstacle impeding Islam’s domination of all humanity under one religious and political system. Therefore, in order to realize this vision, the Christian faithful must not only be converted to Islam, but their sacred spaces must be taken from them and given to the dar Al-Islam – “the house of Islam.” If the Islamic conquest of Jerusalem led to the end of Christianity as the dominant religion in the Holy Land, and the same was true in the Byzantine Empire with the fall of Constantinople, the conquest of Rome and the Islamization of St. Peter’s Basilica would mean the effective destruction of the Church worldwide, and its replacement with Islam. They are coming for the Pope and the Roman Catholic Church.”

“The case, like so many others in recent months, highlights just how effective ISIS has become in using social media to radicalize Americans, particularly children.”

Well, the above sentence is correct in that ISIS has been very effective in the use of social media to spread their message. To deny that would be to deny reality.

Of course–despite what “journalists”, politicians, and so many of our fellow citizens think–it is not a message of radicalization.
