Exposing the role that Islamic jihad theology and ideology play in the modern global conflicts

Philippines: Islamic State jihadists abduct four people from holiday resort

Sep 22, 2015 10:02 am By Robert Spencer

Kidnapping infidels and releasing them for ransom or enslaving them, as well as killing them if that option is deemed most advantageous for the Muslims, is fully sanctioned in Islamic law: “As for the captives, the amir [ruler] has the choice of taking the most beneficial action of four possibilities: the first to put them to death by cutting their necks; the second, to enslave them and apply the laws of slavery regarding their sale and manumission; the third, to ransom them in exchange for goods or prisoners; and fourth, to show favor to them and pardon them. Allah, may he be exalted, says, ‘When you encounter those [infidels] who deny [the Truth=Islam] then strike [their] necks’ (Qur’an sura 47, verse 4)” — Abu’l-Hasan al-Mawardi, al-Ahkam as-Sultaniyyah (The Laws of Islamic Governance), trans. by Dr. Asadullah Yate, (London), Ta-Ha Publishers Ltd., 1996, p. 192.

Abu Sayyaf is another jihad group that has pledged allegiance to the Islamic State.

Two Canadian citizens and a Norwegian resort manager were abducted by unidentified gunmen on an island in the southern Philippines.“Gunmen abduct four people from Philippine island resort,” ANSA, September 22, 2015 (thanks to Insubria):

(ANSA) – Manila, September 22 – Three foreigners and a Filipino woman were abducted by gunmen from a holiday resort on Samal island in the southern Philippines on Monday night, local police and military sources have said.

The Norwegian manager of the tourist port at Holiday Oceanview Samal Resort, Kjartan Sekkingstad, Canadian nationals John Ridsel and Robert Hall and the Filipino wife of one of the Canadians were kidnapped.

The commando also reportedly tried to abduct a foreign couple on board a yacht moored in the tourist port before escaping by motorboat.

The authorities have not said who they think might be behind the abduction.

However, they have set up a naval blockade around Samal to prevent the kidnappers from reaching Basilan island to the southwest, where the terrorist group Abu Sayyaf has a number of bases.

In 2001 militants of Abu Sayyaf tried to abduct holidaymakers at the Pearl Farm Beach Resort south of Oceanview.

Attacks on holiday destinations may be the only way for some people to wake up.

I remember the attack on the Achille Lauro–at the time I was shocked not just by the ferocity of the attack and murder of an elderly man in a wheelchair, but by the fact that the target was a cruise ship.

At the time, it seemed ironic and perverse to me. But now I have come to realize long since that this is a classic “soft target”, just like attacking churches, Christmas markets, holiday resorts, pizza parlors, shopping malls, and cafes.

I think this has two purposes–first, that they are hitting a target where the victims are unlikely to be armed or much thinking about security or resistance.

Secondly, they *like* the perversity of hitting their victims when they are having an innocent good time–when they are relaxing or on holiday. They want to rob Infidels of any enjoyment or peace of mind.

In a bid for peace after decades of murder and mass murder, and the terror among Infidels that thre would be more, Manila made the decision to accommodate Sharia in Mindanao.

How’s that working out for ya, guys? They are never satisfied; there is always more to take. This is the Cause, the express goal of Islam is to take the whole world, which reasonably speaking is within the realm of possibility now. It’ll be a long haul, many decades to take over the world, but you can count on the Moslems to keep grinding.

Sadly, when the goal is reached, the mass murder and resultant mass terror will continue. Tha’ts what these people do, why would they quit once the world capital is located in Mecca?

islam is demonic and thrives on death destruction and terror. if the whole world would fall to this present antichrist islamic spirit, there could be NO PEACE because it would turn in ward and kill everyone who is less violent and less filled with demonic islam as happens now in Pakistan , Saudi Arabia etc

I just mentioned Philippines and Mindanao yesterday in another post and here we are reading about another problem there.
Islam is a global curse and the world must unite to fight it.
The Pope has just arrived in the US. I wonder if there will be any talk about this huge problem. Philippines is a predominately Catholic country so this should concern the Pope. Has he even mentioned it?

He is a useless scum who could do nothing to help the persecuted Christians in the ME. He is even a useful idiot to the Muslims.

Last time Pope Francis went to the Philippines he essentially castigated Charlie Hebdo staff for having provoked their own murders:

“Pope Francis: ‘You cannot make fun of the faith of others'”

        http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/the-pope/11347931/Pope-Francis-You-cannot-make-fun-of-the-faith-of-others.html

He said that there “was a limit”–but not, apparently, to his acceptance of Muslim savagery…

Yep. In answer to the traditional question “Is the Pope Catholic?”, the answer is clearly “no” these days. Pope Francis will do nothing to protect Catholics around the world. He is a weak man who is a socialist at heart and will twist himself into knots to appease Muslim grievances, real and imagined.

Pope Francis is no friend of mine (and I was raised Catholic).

Malaysian President Najib Razak’s bribe money for the Philippine politicians is frozen. Even if the bill is approved by Congress, it’s going to be be stricken down as unconstitutional by the Supreme Court. The Philippine President is expected to be thrown to jail when his term ends. His entire family all the way up to his dead father Ninoy, are coddling terrorist in exchange for money and business contracts from Malaysia.

Jesus said in the Holy Bible, “What shall it profit a man if he shall gain the whole world and lose his own soul.

Western leaders everywhere are selling out our people to global Islam. Massively colonising with Muslims and allowing massive Muslim invasion of our once beautiful, safe nations.

May God help us now and in the years to come. FORM DEFENSE GROUPS.

There will be mockers to my post about GOD listening.
My answer; In HIS own time, not before, not after and NOT never.

The 53 year old Norwegian manager may not get any help from the Norwegian government with the payment of a ransom to Aby Sayyaf. Since the right-wing government have already said no to pay ISIS for their capture of a Norwegian citizen in Syria.

Yes, even Moslems aren’t perfect. Frequently they hold out a captive for a big money ransom, only to come up empty, whereupon they are forced to quietly murder the poor guy and move on to the next operation.

Me, I was saddened to learn that, after the mass kidnapping by Boko Haram of an entire middle school filled with hundreds of pubescent girls in Nigeria, the sex slave market for them proved so bad that Shekhau was forced to make deep discounts in the price per girl. Some may have been murdered to discard them as excess inventory, but we’ll never know cuz secrets are kept in the jungle.

But I bet Shekau wasn’t smiling and laughing when he realized the big take wasn’t coming. Maybe he did that funny twisted mouth thing like First Lady Michelle did in that photo of her shovel face in the #BringBackOurGirls twitter campaign, which went pfffft. Shekau was not impressed or amused.

….fully sanctioned in Islamic law. Yet Ben Carson is criticized for his belief that a Muslim would not make a good President of The United States of America.

While “Moderate Muslims” remain silence, (Intentionally), The West can only ignore the truth for so long…..

    Islamic Law IS Sharia Law.

I usually have a 24hr security guard whenever staying in the Cebu beach-house, even there kidnapping for ransom is a possibility.

My wife is from Davao City which is on the island of Mindanao. Samal Island is right off the coast of Davao City, so this hits close to home, as it were.

As for one of the poster’s advice that Americans avoid areas where Muslims are kidnapping people, you should realize that there is no safe place. Muslims willing to kill or kidnap Westerners are everywhere, including right here in the good ol’ USA. Until they are summarily ejected back to their countries of origin, this problem will remain.

As for the Philippines, the current president is pursuing a policy of appeasement that is only going to encourage more incidents like these. We will be visiting Davao in December for Christmas. I will be extra-vigilant, of course, but there are no guarantees in this world and no one is safe until all Muslims are wiped out.
