If they’re gonna go ahead and take over the country, ok, I can accept that. But I demand that upon taking Washington that they pass a fatwa permanently banning those geeky little caps Moslem men wear. That’s unacceptable. The end of freedom I can live with, but not the geeky little caps; that’s a bridge too far.

Hopefully the tragedy at Mecca will make some intelligent Muslims think ‘why does this keep happening, Allah must be angry’ in the way other tragedies are blamed on the immorality of that country by Islamists. Though apostasy is a risky business.

        Sep 24, 2015 at 5:01 pm

The reason almost every year there is a tragedy in Mecca, is simply because of the supremacism that Islam teaches. Each Muslim believe their brand to be the only pure brand. In Mecca at this time you have Sunnis and Shias.(and every possible subset) ……who detest each other almost as much as they detest us infidels, ( though they are united by how much they hate Jews).

So treading on a dying “wrong flavour of Muslim’ is no problem.h

You got it all wrong DeMolay. What you call “tragedy at Mecca” is actually a blessing to Muslims.

  3. Michael Copeland says

There is a not obvious trap inherent in enquiring what Muslims “believe”.
The Western listener will understand this in the context of freedom of belief, and will assume it to be a matter of PERSONAL conviction. Some Christians, for instance, will openly say that they are not comfortable with the Virgin Birth. It is understood that they are permitted to express misgivings. Not so in Islam. No-one is empowered to express misgivings, not even about the sun setting in a muddy pool (Koran 18:86).
It is more salient to enquire what muslims are INSTRUCTED to believe.
Muslims are INSTRUCTED that the law of Allah supersedes all man-made law.
They are also INSTRUCTED to mislead Western enquirers by stressing “in a muslim country”.

    • PRCS says

      Sep 24, 2015 at 11:51 pm

“They are also INSTRUCTED to mislead Western enquirers by stressing “in a muslim country”

And THAT must be used against them.

But–of course–those Muslims who asserted their belief that the shari’ah is just hunky dory in Muslim nations were not asked if they include it’s barbarities in that assertion.

Why didn’t David Webb ask those Muslims he interviewed if the amputation of thieves’ hands is morally acceptable to them–over there; or wife beating, or any of a number of items that would make our uninformed family members, friends and neighbors realize what the shari’ah really is.

Clueless Hannity said “…because, fundamentally, the Koran and Islam–I’m not talking about RADICAL ISLAMISTS–the Koran and Islam are fundamentally at odds with the constitution….

So, Sean, try to connect the dots…As it IS the Qur’an (as written) which makes Islam at odds with the constitution–how in Hell do “radical Islamists” differ from any other Qur’an readin’, Allahu Ackbaring Muslim?

And maybe in answer to my own question about Webb, he seems to think the Ahmadiyya’s d Sufis are the vanguard of a reformation in the Muslim world.

  4. wildjew says

    Sep 24, 2015 at 3:45 pm

Harris Zafar of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community is engaging is deception when he says the “law of the land (in Islam) supersedes all other laws.”

That is false! That isn’t even true for Christians and Jews, e.g., Mike Huckabee and millions of American Christians are defending Kim Davis, county clerk of Rowan County, Kentucky. Many Christian abolitionists defied odious fugitive slave law before the Civil War was fought.

How less are Muslims commanded to honor “man-made” laws like a Constitution?

    • Wellington says

      Sep 24, 2015 at 5:40 pm

There is a difference, of course, wildjew, as I think you implied. American Christians believe that their religion’s principles should infuse, inspire and direct a secular legal system like Common Law (Roman Law too which functions in Louisiana), but Islam has its own legal system which is supposed to be the law of the land. This is a huge difference.

After all, not a single Roman Catholic in America thinks that Canon Law should supersede the Constitution and be the governing legal system for all of America.. Ditto for religious Jews where Judaic Law is concerned. Christians and Jews have theological blueprints which allow for the separation of secular and spiritual rules and regulations, though understandably hope that the secular rules and regulations will be influenced by spiritual norms. Muslims don’t have anything like this and any Muslim asserting that a separation here is possible is either lying, ignorant or putting forth a fantasy version of Islam.

      • wildjew says

        Sep 24, 2015 at 6:53 pm

I agree Wellington, Christianity and Judaism, unlike Islam are not subversive. But where American “law” (mostly is rulings crafted by 5 of the 9 U.S. Supreme Court Justices, what Mark Levin calls men in black robes; not by our representatives) runs contrary to Biblical law, Christians have historically dissented / defied the “law of the land.” The two examples, fugitive slave law and gay marriage are a case in point.

        • Wellington says

          Sep 24, 2015 at 7:55 pm

I agree, wildjew. As William Seward asserted in the Senate back in 1850 there is a higher law than the Constitution which should guide constitutional law and all the nation.

Though not religious myself, I second this sapient assessment by Seward. Those who are religious can see a deity-inspired directive here. Those who are not religious (like yours truly) can see the operation of common sense here. No Founding Father of America would have posed a third option in this matter I would contend, and so once again the Judeo-Christian imperative is eminently aligned with common sense (or vice-versa if you prefer)—–and basic decency—-and liberty. Contra Islam and its hideous, totalitarian, all-consuming, all-everything, no nuances or disagreements allowed, legal system.

          Sep 24, 2015 at 8:03 pm

Looking at your comment from a believer in Christ…but not attempting to speak for any other person, Christian or otherwise…I would refuse to obey any law that contradicted God’s Laws as I understand them. Basic ones being what is said in the Ten Commandments.
If I worked in an office like Davis, and the *ruling*…not a law…came down and my boss said I had to sell the license, I would respectfully ask to be given different duties. If that was unacceptable to the boss, I would quit my job If congress actually made a law like the court ruled, my response would be the same.
As for slavery, it goes against the Golden Rule Christ gave of “Do to others the way you wish them to do to you.” I would not wish to be a slave, and therefore, would not have slaves even if this was something allowed by law of the land.
Each person, whether Christian or not, has to carry their own load of responsibility. Each person is given a conscience and many Laws of God feel like the right and natural thing to do even to those who don’t read of any Laws written down.

But it seems to me, that moslems are not content with doing what they think is the right thing and allowing others to make their own choices as to dress, food, how many times to pray…simple things and then forcing even the big things…who can be murdered, raped, enslaved, etc.

The world is a complicated place. Even in the churches of the same denomination, there are differences of what is appropriate for those who believe. Among the many denominations, there are even more differences. So trying to make laws that would make everyone supremely happy and content with and obedient to them, would be impossible.
The framers tried to make the Constitution where anyone could worship as that one wanted, having in mind the faiths with which they were acquainted…it seemed to work most of the time. There have been arrests in the past in this country of some who believed it was right to disobey certain laws. But if moslems get their way, we will all have to dissent… or give in and that is unthinkable. For me, anyway

I hope I didn’t make too many typos…my eyes are terrible tonight.

          Wildjew, Wellington, and Somehistory:

          I appreciate your thread here.

I would quibble that Common Law, Roman Law, and Scots Law are truly “secular”. All three rest on a Christian base. The “Roman” Law we know came to us via the Code and Novels of Justinian in the 6th century, by which time the Roman Empire was largely Christianized. Indeed, the section on forbidden marriages in Justinian’s Code seems lifted straight out of Leviticus.

In our own supposedly “secular” United States, Justice Story’s _Commentaries_ state that American law presupposes Christianity, which is echoed in a dictum of Chief Justice Brewer in _Church of the Holy Trinity v. U.S._ It is true we do not favor one denomination of Christians over another, or support churches from taxes, and certainly other traditions may find space and enjoy citizenship, but Story and Brewer hold that the law presupposes a Christian culture, morality, and tradition. indeed, a case like _Reynolds v. US_ (which will probably be junked by a fool like the be-robed eunuch Kennedy) makes no sense without the tradition of a Christian-inspired monogamy.

The fundamental difference between traditionalist Islam and traditionalist Christianity and Judaism is that the latter two have Jeremiah’s instruction to the exiles to seek the peace/well-being (shalom) of the land to which they are taken captive. How much more should this apply to a polity where we enjoy much liberty, and even a voice in how we are governed!

Somehistory–do you realize that Samuel Sewall, one of the Salem witch judges of 1690, actually penned and published an anti-slave trade tract entitled _The Selling of Joseph_? It seems that any conscience strongly informed by the Bible will wrestle with a moral wrong which is countenanced by law.

I also applaud Kim Davis–even if I might have held my nose and signed had I been in her shoes (I signed off on a Lesbian couple’s immigrant visa for an adopted baby girl in China when I was Vice Consul in Guangzhou–but chiefly because, given the state of Chinese orphanages at the time, the likely alternative was that the child would’ve been allowed to die). It is an evil day when “rights” spun out of supposed “penumbrae” of the Constitution are allowed to nullify rights spelled out in the plain black and white text. The Left touts as heroes many who flouted laws passed by democratic process (I do not see how California’s Proposition 8 or Defense of Marriage Act either picked the pockets or broke the legs of the homosexual community). Maybe they need a taste of their own medicine. I am also pro-Kim Davis because I strongly suspect that the next step will be an attack on the tax exempt status of any institution that won’t allow SSM, followed by the commoditization of vulnerable children implied in homosexual parenting, at least where in vitro or surrogacy is used. Recently, Salon even published an apologia by a pedo, so we’re probably 2/3 of the way down the slippery slope.

My guess is that the Left won’t realize what it’s doing until the logic of Obergefell (fittingly meaning “fallen over” in German–is God mocking us?) leads them to legalize polygamy, and they then find themselves swamped by the Muslims whom they now think “cool”. Then it’ll be too late.

The main difference here, reflects the uniqueness of Islam: its tension with laws outside it fits in a framework of seditious warfare using violence and stealth — which they have been waging against us, are waging against us now, and plan on continuing to wage against us until they destroy us. In the process of this war they have mass-murdered us, are planning to mass-murder us now, and will continue to plan to mass-murder us in the future, in ways we have good reason to suppose will be far more horrific and widespread than 911.

          Surely, that’s a radical, unique game-changer.

“The general principles on which the fathers achieved independence were the general principles of Christianity. I will avow that I then believed, and now believe, that those general principles of Christianity are as eternal and immutable as the existence and attributes of God.” –John Adams wrote this on June 28, 1813, in a letter to Thomas Jefferson.

Sharia Law verses the US Constitution Law:

The Muslims believe that Allah has inspired the Sharia law, at least that’s what is taught in Islam. The Muslims believe Sharia Law is not manmade and that it supersedes the US Constitution which they say is man legislated.

Sure the Federalists papers including the US Constitution were drafted by man, but righteous and moral statesmen dedicated to found a new nation that harbored citizens that revered God without social/religious discrimination.

It has been written that the Founding Fathers while drafting the important documents of our nation, including the federalist papers series were guided by divine discernment facilitated by their human minds. There is the assertion that the human mind is the location of humanity, and thus the location of the image of God.

IMAGE of GOD: is a concept and theological doctrine in Judaism, Christianity, which asserts that human beings are created in God’s image. Genesis 1: 26 Then God said, “Let us make mankind in our image….

Islam’s creation account is radically different, for they don’t believe that Muslin is endowed God’s gift of being created in His Image! It took one egotistical man’s selfishness to rob the love of the real God by mentally chaining them to a mythical tyrannical god for over 1400 years. It can be determined that that Sharia was man inspired and written ……in time destroying other religion written tenants to
    distribute the Koran by coercion.

    http://www.iqrasense.com/allah/islamic-viewpoint-on-god-made-man-in-his-own-image.html

Islamic viewpoint on ‘God made man in His own image’

“Islam does not agree with this statement. Allah, God, has attributes which belong to Him alone, such as His being the Creator, the Provider, the One God, etc. These are characteristics which a created being cannot acquire.”——-[ ]

DR. Ben Carson is right by asserting that Sharia is not compliant to the US Constitutional Laws for this document engenders our God’s love by its written content, while Sharia Law basically invokes bondage to its believers and to its non believers. No wonder the Muslim world daily drags its death cult mindset en-nausea!
Their lives have been subjected to a limbo status for centuries…poor fools!

Muslim’s arguments: U.S. constitution is man-made. Sharia is god’s mandate hence it rules over any man-made rules.

Normal person argument: Sharia is the law enforced by a totalitarian, mysoginist, hateful, discriminatory and dominating ideology of a pedophile murderer laid out in the 7-th century and forced upon millions to believe that it was written by god. Sharia law in my country? No way!

We have seen how well Sharia-ruled countries do. Places like Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, Iran, Somalia or Yemen. First-rate, first-world countries, how happy its citizens live, how succesful they are, what a wealth of ideas, innovation, creativity and technologies emanate from them. How men and women enjoy equality under the law. How well minority religions are treated. How well multi-culturalism flourishes under their protection. How the arts, music, dance thrive in their communities.

The chief interviewer in my opinion is trying to editorialize whilst he is interviewing. He shouldn’t take his audience as idiots we can all see that Islam has a problem, but what Hannity achieved in this clip is simply showing conservatives as unwilling to listen to Muslim ideas, yet he invites the Muslim man just to shoot him down.
