Exposing the role that Islamic jihad theology and ideology play in the modern global conflicts

Washington Post: Opponents of refugee influx into Europe are just like the Nazis

Sep 3, 2015 6:54 pm By Robert Spencer

There are so many things wrong with this, and outrageous about it, that I scarcely know where to begin. In the first place, Jews in Germany and elsewhere in Europe were not immigrants at the time of the rise of the Nazis. They were not refugees. They had lived in Europe for hundreds of years. Second, anti-Semitism was based on age-old hatreds, theological from Christianity and racial before the advent of Christianity, that had nothing to do with what Jews did or did not do — while those who are suspicious of this massive influx of Muslims in Europe don’t object to Muslims on (contrary to media insistence) racial grounds or religious grounds, but because they’re aware that Islamic law has a political component that is authoritarian, violent and supremacist. Jews in Europe were neither carrying out terror attacks nor boasting of their imminent conquest of the continent. No one is talking about or contemplating incinerating these Muslim refugees, or killing or harming a single solitary one of them. Ishaan Tharoor’s article is designed simply to do what the Left and its Islamic supremacist allies always do with opposing viewpoints: vilify and demonize them, rather than refute them on rational grounds.

Meanwhile, what do you bet that Ishaan Tharoor supports a real neo-Nazi movement: BDS?

Ishaan Tharoor

“Europe’s fear of Muslim refugees echoes rhetoric of 1930s anti-Semitism,”  by Ishaan Tharoor, Washington Post, September 2, 2015:

A humanitarian crisis of historic proportions has been growing in Europe, as hundreds of thousands of refugees and economic migrants from the Middle East, Africa and parts of Asia have crossed the continent’s borders this year alone. The scale of the influx is now well-documented. According to the European Union’s border agency, some 340,000 migrants crossed its borders in first seven months of 2015; in July, the figure was on its own an astonishing 107,500 people. The majority of those making the hazardous crossing across the eastern Mediterranean are Syrian refugees, displaced by a horrifying, grinding civil war that has forced roughly half of the country’s population out of their homes.

According to U.N. figures, the current global levels of displacement have not been matched since World War II. In 2014, the number of refugees, asylum-seekers and people forced to flee within their country surged to nearly 60 million people.

It’s hard to grasp the scope of this in real terms — a nation of the displaced — but it’s been hideously dramatized in recent news. Desperate refugees and migrants, at the mercy of smugglers and human traffickers, have been confronted by walls and soldiers, have drowned in the Mediterranean, and suffocated in the back of trucks.

Over the past year, many in Europe have bristled at the influx — from far-right political movements and fear-mongering tabloids to established politicians and leaders. The resentment has to do, in part, with the burden of coping with the refugees. But it’s also activated a good amount of latent xenophobia–leading to anti-Islam protests, attacks on asylum centers and a good deal of bigoted bluster.

Some governments in Eastern Europe have even specifically indicated they don’t want to accommodate non-Christian refugees, out of supposed fear over the ability of Muslims to integrate into Western society.

“Refugees are fleeing fear,” urged a spokesman for the U.N. refugee agency last week. “Refugees are not to be feared.”

It’s important to recognize that this is hardly the first time the West has warily eyed masses of refugees. And while some characterize Muslim arrivals as a supposedly unique threat, the xenophobia of the present carries direct echoes of a very different moment: The years before World War II, when tens of thousands of German Jews were compelled to flee Nazi Germany.

Consider this 1938 article in the Daily Mail, a British tabloid still known for its bouts of right-wing populism. Its headline warned of “German Jews Pouring Into This Country.” And it began as follows:

“The way stateless Jews and Germans are pouring in from every port of this country is becoming an outrage. I intend to enforce the law to the fullest.”

In these words, Mr Herbert Metcalde, the Old Street Magistrate yesterday referred to the number of aliens entering this country through the ‘back door’ — a problem to which The Daily Mail has repeatedly pointed.

The number of aliens entering this country can be seen by the number of prosecutions in recent months. It is very difficult for the alien to escape the increasing vigilance of the police and port authorities.

Even if aliens manage to break through the defences, it is not long before they are caught and deported.

No matter the alarming rhetoric of Hitler’s fascist state — and the growing acts of violence against Jews and others — popular sentiment in Western Europe and the United States was largely indifferent to the plight of German Jews.

“Of all the groups in the 20th century,” write the authors of the 1999 book, “Refugees in the Age of Genocide,” “refugees from Nazism are now widely and popularly perceived as ‘genuine’, but at the time German, Austrian and Czechoslovakian Jews were treated with ambivalence and outright hostility as well as sympathy.”

Part of that hostility was fueled, as some of the European grievances are now, by stereotypes of the refugees as harbingers of a dangerous ideology, in this instance communism and anarchist violence.

There were also economic concerns. The world was coming off the Great Depression. In France alone, there were a million people unemployed. Resentment against French and foreign Jews (large numbers from Germany and Romania had arrived by the early 1930s) led to “a new wave of antisemitism,” detailed by a report put out by the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum.

The Chamber of Commerce of the city of Metz, for example, grumbled in 1933 that “highly undesirable” Jews “have become a veritable plague for honest French merchants.” By 1935, the then French government enacted a series of quotas on certain professions — effectively blocking Jews out. This was a precursor for the more pernicious and deadly forms of antisemitism to come.

In Britain, as a 2002 article in the Guardian recounts, perhaps as many as half a million German Jewish asylum seekers were turned away by authorities ahead of the outbreak of World War II. Many who were admitted in were given asylum less out of altruism than a need to fill low-paying domestic work “spurned by the native British.” The situation was no better elsewhere:

Canada accommodated only 5,000 European Jews between 1933 and 1945, Australia 10,000, South Africa some 6,000. And the US’s unyielding quota system meant that, between 1933 and 1937, only 33,000 German Jews were admitted (and only 124,000 between 1938 and 1941).

Meanwhile, those trapped within Nazi-controlled Europe faced the horrors of the Holocaust. Millions were systematically killed. Yet it was only in 1944, when the extent of the genocide had become better known, that the United States made a real effort to rescue European Jews. Even during World War II, let alone before it started, antisemitism was rife in American political and public life….

      MAN, HAHAHAHA
Really, this one surprised me to be honest, I thought there would be several people supporting the text out of sentimentality, but no. It is all about 100% in accordance to this forum.
It is a human tragedy sure, there are a lot of innocents involved on this, but why the heck the Saudis or the Qatars do not step up and do something for their kin? Why the media do not talk about this?
Oh yes, they have been busy on the refugees, they had been on those camps alright, preying on young girls, paying 1000u$ for temporary marriage, so how is that?

The fear of Islam is rational, while the fear and hatred of Jews in Germany was not. Islam is a religion of war and every Muslim in the world must be considered to be a Soldier of Allah. There are 57 Muslim countries, so why don’t these countries take in Muslim refugees.

Your comments are absolutely obvious, & yet nobody in the
          media states them. Highly suspicious.
          As for the Nazi rubbish.
Islam was Hitler’s favourite religion, & in having doubts about the
islamification of Europe (& beyond), people are merely doubting
the wisdom of the nazification of Europe.
Actually, islam is much worse than Nazism.

      Yes, Wells.

And he probably believes it when his Muslim colleagues at the Washington Post tell him that Islam is the perfect religion of peace and Muhammad’s behavior a perfect example for mankind to emulate.

Yet the Islamic texts record Muhammad as being a murderous pedophile.

Hope you are doing well these days, Wells. Things are good with me.

Ishaan Tharoor – the name is Indian. If he is of Indian descent, then he should know better. What Muslims did to India is the greatest mass slaughter in all history.

Yes the name is Indian but I suspect that he is a leftist. And the leftist morons are very much consistent in their support to islamic ideology and suppression of their own nation. The indian media and academia are dominated. In these they behave like mafia so the alternative ideology people can not survive thus creating a deficiency of counter arguements available to public. Here they are trying to take a moral high ground but in real they have none. As if the others are animals an can not think rationally. In my opinion the current situation is less about the real refugee thing and more about the demographic invasion. I mean you will hardly find the real prosecuted people in the hordes of so called refugees like the Yezidi,s, Bahai,s, christions, Hindus from Pakistan and Bangladesh and numerous others tribes and small religions. The problem is that these people even will find it difficult to come out of the border of these countries. To me it is more about the dole offered to these people by the western countries. For example these so called refugees want to go to Germany or Sweden and do not want to stay in Hungary thats why they will not go to refugee camps there and try to escape to germany. But the media will create a hue and cry about these pseudo refugee thing beacuse again it is dominated by leftist and politically correct persons.

Muslims countries don’t want these refugees even though they can take them. The mega-rich oil countries won’t take the refugees even if their support of terrorism created this crisis.

Tharoor is not a Leftist per se; he’s a classical dhimmi, having learned to defend his Muslim Masters after centuries of trauma & terror inflicted by Mohammedans on Hindus. Not only like ancestor like descendant, but also like father like son: His father, Shashi Tharoor, “as Head of the Department of Public Information (UNDPI) [in the Indian government]… reformed the department and undertook a number of initiatives, ranging from organising and conducting the… first-ever UN seminar on Islamophobia after the 11 September attacks.”

Ishaan Tharoor is essentially saying that anyone opposed to the growth and spread of Islam is a bigoted “Islamophobe” as bad or worse than any Nazi.

Instead of printing such idiocy, the aforementioned Washington Post writer should be informing his readers that ISIS is 100% Islamic and people have every reason to be concerned about a mass influx of Muslim refugees into Europe. Everything that ISIS is doing is BASED SOLELY on what is contained within the Islamic texts (the Quran, and Muhammad’s Sunnah), and all Muslims are obedient to these texts and will never deny them.

If the Islamic State members were instituting practices that were at all UN-ISLAMIC, they would be murdered outright by their fellow Islamic State Mohammedans. Global Sharia law under the Caliphate is the goal of ISIS and they are more than happy to kill and die for it.

We ex-Muslims know that Islamic theology is a complete fraud.

Hatred, violence, and fear are the life-blood of Islamic theology and the vile Koran. The 164 Jihad Verses in the Koran make jihad a central tenet of the Islamic creed. And at least 75% of the Sira (biographies of Muhammad and quotes attributed to him) is about jihad.

The largest part of the Islamic texts (the Qur’an, hadith and sira) relate to the treatment of unbelievers, kafirs. Approximately 67% of the Qur’an written in Mecca is about the unbelievers, or politics. Of the Qur’an of Medina, 51% is devoted to the unbelievers.

Mohammed preached his religion for 13 years and garnered only 150 followers. But when he turned to politics and war, in 10 years time he became the first ruler of Arabia by averaging an event of violence every 7 weeks for 9 years. His success did not come as a religious leader, but as a political leader.

Statistical analysis of the Bukhari hadith (considered by Muslims to be the most authentic of the hadith collections) show that Muhammad repeatedly speaks of jihad. In Bukhari, 97% of the jihad references are about war, and 3% are about the inner struggle. So the statistical answer is that jihad is 97% war and 3% inner struggle.

There are 146 references to Hell in the Qur’an. Only 6% of those in Hell are there for moral failings ” murder, theft, etc. The other 94% of the reasons for being in Hell are for the intellectual sin of disagreeing with Mohammed, a political crime.

There’s so much wrong with this moronic assertion and its “explanation” that I could go on for 2 or 3 posts (since there’s a character limit per post). But I’ll try to keep is as brief as I can.

And while some characterize Muslim arrivals as a supposedly unique threat, the xenophobia of the present carries direct echoes of a very different moment: The years before World War II, when tens of thousands of German Jews were compelled to flee Nazi Germany.

Really? Who are the Nazis on that scenario? Because, as far as I can tell from recorded history, before WWII Germany was not involved in any war, civil or otherwise, and the party in power was persecuting several groups based on their physical characteristics and political, as well as religious, stances. That’s nothing like the scenario in Syria, where the government is fighting several rebel groups, most (if not all) of them grounded on islamic orthodoxy, like ISIS – muslims who commit atrocities that would make the Japanese look like tame by comparison, let alone the Nazis. Those same muslims made their goal quite clear – spread islamic law through all the world by the (figurative) sword, want to have a large portion of Europe conquered by 2020, and claimed they were sending operatives passing as “refugees”. But according to Ishaan Tharoor, thinking that the hundreds of thousands of muslims trying to muscle their way into countries where they’ll demand welfare might pose a threat is “xenophobia”. Fine, we’re “xenophobic”, or “racist”, or “nazis”, or whatever epithet you’re trying to shames to submission with. Now GTFO and take your coreligionists with you – if you’re so worried about them use your own money to help them: buy them passages and have them live in your home, where you’ll be responsible for putting food on their plates, making sure they learn the language and get a job.

Another difference is that Jews *asked* for asylum, they didn’t force their way across Europe by the hundreds of thousands, like these so-called “refugees”.

Meanwhile, those trapped within Nazi-controlled Europe faced the horrors of the Holocaust. Millions were systematically killed.

Again, who are the Nazis in your scenario? Assad? ISIS? The non-existent “moderate” rebels? Who is trying to kill the “refugees”, and on what grounds?

I, for one, think that the EU – that is to say, all countries combined – should receive the exact same number of refugees as Saudi Arabia, an oil rich country with a culture and traditions closer to the refugees’ than any given country in Western Europe: 0 (zero).

These Muslims fleeing Islamic Hell/Bliss carry greater Jew hating baggage than even the Nazis. It is enshrined in their koran, as the perfect unalterable word of their god. Trying to claim that the perpetrators of genocide of Jews and other non-Muslims are the victims here is completely upside down reasoning. The Muslim invasion is Hijra, and will be followed eventually by calls (like ISIS) for rape and extermination of non-Muslims.

Perhaps we should let the non-Muslims of the West flood Syria and Iraq and displace the Muslims. They would be fleeing the horror of the carriers of Islam. Would Ishaan Tharoor oppose such a mass migration?

In fact the hands of the radical left leading up to the outbreak of WW2 were far from clean. The National Socialist Party was a child of the left while German Communists and their sympathisers preferred the revolutionary momentum of the National Socialists, at least during the 1930’s, to the number one enemy -the boring conservative and middle ground of politics which allied itself to a continuance of the existing bourgeois society.

Germany returned to sanity with a sober minded conservative post war leadership, that if in power today, would not be rushing into the large scale importation of middle eastern refugees but would instead be considering a range of carefully considered humanitarian options.

First you Americans need to get the real truth about history and you need to stop repeating the lies about
WWII and understand the real reason for the hatred of the Jews by the Germans. During the 1st world war
the Jews went to England and told the English they would be able to persuade the Americans to enter the War against Germany if the English would give then Palestine. So the English agreed and passed the
Balfour declaration which would give Palestine (under British Rule) to the Jews. At that time England and France were losing the war. After losing the war Germany was forced to sign a peace agreement that meant they had to pay money to the allies. This quickly bankrupted Germany and brought about starvation upon the Germans. Along came a political party that would abolish the peace agreement that was bankrupting Germany. The economy was restored and unemployment disappeared.
The poverty suffered by the Germans was blamed on the Jews.
That the holocaust was the work of a political party is utter nonsense. All Germans hated the Jews.
The National Socialists could not have rounded up the Jews and stuffed then in concentration camps
without the universal hatred of them by the Germans.

“out of supposed fear over the ability of Muslims to integrate into Western society”

Perhaps Mr Tharoor is an example of an integration success story, but there are plenty of examples of integration failures in Europe. See “Tower Hamlets” in London for just one.

The argument he floats is that the current migrant stampede has much in common with the Jewish refugees before and after WW2. He is correct that before the war many countries were not overly welcoming to Jewish refugees from Germany but that could in part be because the full evil intent of Nazism was not fully appreciated. Those that tried to leave Germany were doing so to escape persecution based on their religion rather than for economic reasons.

But the situation in Syria is in no way similar. Firstly the migrants heading to Europe are not exclusively Syrians. Many are from other parts of the Arab world, from Africa and even Pakistan. One report from Germany said 13% of the migrants processed had come from the Balkans. Clearly economic migrants.
Few of the migrants (unless they are Christians or Yazidis) could claim to be fleeing religious persecution.

So has “Ramez” the Coptic Nazi been finally shown the door? Not before time in my opinion, he consistently brought racial theories into his unsavory posts.

The germam internatial-socialists as their similarily minded national-socicalists before WW2 have discovered that their is more than enough “Lebenraum” in the East.

Ironically, prussians like the russians don’t respond well to their plans to be flooded with foreign people.

The Jews whom the Nazis attempted to expunge from Europe were very well integrated into the societies in which they lived. They were in the professions, trade etc. In WW1 many fought bravely to defend Germany. Ironically the officer whop pinned on Hitler’s Iron Cross of which he was so proud was a Jew. They were not doing anybody any harm quite the contrary, I often think if Hitler had not been so full of antisemitism. and kept all those highly talented people as part of Germany his wars might have been more successful.
People have also likened the fence Hungary to the Iron Curtain, the Iron curtain was to keep people inside the Communist bloc, not to keep people out!

Comparing Jews exodus with Muslim influx in suicidal. Jews were not persecuted by Jews. Wherever they went, they adopted to that society. Are non-violent and do respect humanity (except when their own existence is at stake). Islam itself based on non-tolerance, killing non-Muslims and imposing Shariah whenever they gain enough numbers. Not a single Muslim country where there is peace or respect for humanity. Even Muslim kingdoms rule with iron hand to control Muslims. Racism is bad. OK. But when it comes to save your own next generation, you need to be realistic and harsh.

”That is very clearly a lie!!”

No, it isn’t. We just don’t want them in *our* countries.

Why aren’t they heading for the 50 Islamic countries ? Because those countries won’t provide them with free houses, food, clothing, benefits, benefits benefits. That’s the main reason they’re trying to get to Europe. but also, as Mr Spencer’s article notes, it’s also to spread islam.

The refugees should not be resettled in Europe. Europe should bribe Algeria, Morocco or Tunisia or another Arab country to take them. Mass immigration is jihad by another means.

This influx is not a refugee problem but economic one ! I personally see them (West Asians and North Africans) as economic opportunists. How do you define a refugee? Idi Amin is/was hated and so is Assad for barbaric rule. Islam does not recognize any earthly government leave alone tyranny of Saddam, Gaddafi, Assad and so on. Waging war is a “holy duty” to muslims. So you always have a bunch of evil zombies ever ready to launch jihad at the drop of a hat !!! Islam has always been a troublesome so called religion. It is full of materialism both in flesh and spirit (eternity) Therefore their foray into Europe.

Western leaders lack self respect .. They do not care(nor have the guts) to tell the third world nations to put their house in order especially the Islamic ones. In the early 1990’s Singapore was critical of Philippines and they didn’t like it.
Potentially, the entire world is an economic immigrant. There are all kinds of well connected agents and brokers in the first world and a friend of mine used it successfully though for just a couple of months. He was scheduled to “rope me in ” too. I guess for all problems of their home country the economic benefit of windfall gain is too tempting.Imagine an immigrant saving for a three bedroom hall apartment back home in just a couple of years of hard work. .. So you have all kinds of immigrants risking their lives to enter the “land of gold” from Mexico to Africa to W. Asia.

Where is the justice for the locals? Will you allow scums, rogues, evil elements to immigrate at the cost of social justice? Don’t the Western leaders have any common sense in distinguishing from humans to that of savages and potential trouble makers/anti state activities?

The authorities tell us to relax and assure us that they are (screening) refugees.
      The interview process:
They ask, “Are you fleeing persecution?”
Only if the answer is (yes) can we let you in.

      “YES”, they answer in unison

Moslems try to steal the Jewish identity, to gain propaganda points. Moslems also demonize Jews and angelize moslems. Europeans, demonized by the turd world, for not wanting to turn Europe into a turd world concquest. I would write shame on the Washington post, however, shame is not effective against liberal/leftist/progressive/dhimmicrat, because of the size of their compassionate heart. Their heart is very, very big. Bigger than almost all others hearts.

And what was FDR when he refused asylum to a ship full of Jews prior to WWII. They went back to Germany and disappeared into the “camps.” I guess that was OK because he was a socialist and an elitist.

Just been blocked on Facebook for 30 days this morning. For posting a copy of this article on the Washington Post’s Facebook page and saying “Heil Hitler! Washington Post”. They mentioned in this weird disappearing message that I had made other comments that didn’t live up to their “Facebook standards” but now I can’t find it.

And I had just finished reading about, and commenting on, Facebook’s fascist tactics yesterday. Go figure.
