Jihad Watch

Exposing the role that Islamic jihad theology and ideology play in the modern global conflicts

Robert Spencer in FrontPage: Justin Trudeau: Canada’s Obama

Oct 21, 2015 10:07 am By Robert Spencer

In FrontPage today I explain why the next Prime Minister of Canada will get along fine with the President:

justin-trudeau-praying-in-mosque

For years, Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper has served as a welcome counterpoint to Barack Obama, and the object of wistful musings about what a fine President of the United States he would have been, if only he had been born south of the border: generally realistic about the jihad threat, determined to do what was necessary to meet that threat, and a strong supporter of Israel.

But now Canada at last has its own Obama: Justin Trudeau. And that means that Canada, like the United States, faces deep trouble ahead.

The new Prime Minister of Canada, like Obama, has consistently downplayed the nature and magnitude of the jihad threat and ascribed it to other causes. Christine Williams, a Canadian journalist and a Federally appointed Director with the Canadian Race Relations Foundation, has noted that in the wake of the Boston Marathon jihad bombing, Trudeau issued a bizarre statement: “There is no question that this happened because of someone who feels completely excluded, someone who feels completely at war with innocence, at war with society.”

At war with innocence. That rivals the Obama Administration’s ascribing the Fort Hood jihad massacre to “workplace violence.” In reality, Dzhokhar Tsarnaev explained after the bombing that he and his brother committed murder at the Marathon because they wanted to defend Islam. Tamerlan Tsarnaev had vowed to die for Islam.

But – also like Obama – as far as Justin Trudeau is concerned, if you’re looking into Islam as having anything to do with jihad terror attacks, you’re looking in the wrong place. Williams notes that Trudeau in 2013 “came under fire for his participation in Canada’s largest Islamic Conference, held in Toronto, and entitled, ‘Reviving the Islamic Spirit.’ The criticism was over the conference’s sponsor, IRFAN [International Relief Fund for the Afflicted and Needy], which was stripped of its federal charity status because of its ties to the terrorist group, Hamas. Even the moderate Muslim Canadian Congress advised Trudeau not to attend.”

Did the Hamas links put Trudeau off? Not any more than the Council on American-Islamic Relations’ ties to Hamas stop American politicians – at least those on the Left – from appearing and glad-handing at its conferences. Trudeau,” Williams reports, “according to a report, smothered the Islamic conference in platitudes. He apparently went so far as to imply a totally inapt comparison in trying to liken the fierce division between English and French Canada, under Prime Minister Wilfrid Laurier, to that of the current divisions between mainstream Canada and Islam.”

Trudeau has been behaving this way for years. In 2011, he visited the Al-Sunnah Al-Nabawiah mosque in Montreal, which was identified by U.S. intelligence officials as a site where “known al-Qaeda members were recruited, facilitated or trained.”

What is a man like Justin Trudeau, with the kind of record that he has, likely to do as Prime Minister? Pamela Geller points out that he is already on record with some very specific intentions that should be disquieting to anyone interested in defending the West: “Canada,” Trudeau said in September, “must immediately accept 25,000 Syrian refugees We can expect the following from Justin Trudeau in the short term.” He didn’t say anything about trying to screen out jihadis from among them – if that were even possible.

Trudeau will also restore Canada’s diplomatic relations with Iran and end his country’s involvement in military operations against the Islamic State. He will doubtless aid Obama in pressuring Israel at the G8 summit, where Harper had stood in the President’s way. At home, Trudeau will scrap a bill that strips convicted terrorists of their Canadian citizenship, along with part of Canada’s counter-terror legislation.

In sum, Justin Trudeau, young, handsome, born to the scepter courtesy his father, will fit right in with Barack Obama, David Cameron and the other leaders of the Western world today. And that’s why we’re in the fix we’re in.

As someone who is extremely appreciative of our wonderful “ordinary citizens” and allies in Canada, can some of them reading this clue me in on how much of Trudeau’s self-deception or outright lying about Islam might be due to “Pretty Boy Privilege Syndrome” — very handsome and the son of a former national leader?

    • Don McKellar says

      Oct 21, 2015 at 11:55 am

Difficult to say. It’s split between Pretty Boy Privilege syndrome and corrupt naked political ambition. The latter means he’ll bend over for every possible group, then turn around and tell their exact opposite anything they want to hear. He is probably the most clumsy and blatant Canadian politician of all times when it comes to that and was caught many times for it.

As to what the consquences will be of his election, and a comparison with Obama like Robert is making — the results will be inverse. Obama, because of the status of the United States miltairily and in world financial affairs, has had a devastating result with a half-dozen countries burning in the flames of jihad after his failed attempt to promote the Muslim Brotherhood’s version of Islam and an eventual caliphate over the world. He has had a horrible, but not nearly as destructive impact on America itself — largely a result of the way America is set up. With Turdeau, there will be very minor external harm done to the outside world, and the destructive impact will mostly occur inside Canada. It will be devastating in its harm and cost. Many lives will be destroyed and many will be killed by jihadis who are about to be mass imported. Free speech will be killed and sharia law promoted everywhere possible as an alternative to Canadian law as moslems will become a privileged class. It’s a nightmare come true that’s about to unfold. Obama has nothing on Turdeau when it comes to the internal harm that will be caused to their respective countries. Although Obama isn’t finished yet, is he?

Great post Don! As a fellow Canadian I agree with your post, but would like to add that many of your predictions have already come to pass. Our freedom of speech has long been curtailed, and during this election campaign even more so. Several media outlets including Postmedia (which owns an empire of newspapers and other media) entirely shut down their commenting, to silence concerns about Boy Blunder and his affinity for Islamist terrorists. Other boards were kicking off anyone who tried to raise their concerns, with more vicious attacks by other users. It’s a media fuelled lynch mob mentality against anyone who’s concerned about Islamists flooding this country.

Three of Turdeau’s party’s candidates who won their seats are all members of terrorist organizations which are part of the Muslim Brotherhood. Zunera Ishaq, a woman feted in the news by liberals for suing Canada for the right to wear a niqab during her citizenship swearing in ceremony, is also a member of the same extremist groups – she even advertises it openly on her Facebook page. In Mississauga, a suburb of Toronto, the leader of a group opposed to a new mosque in their neighbourhood (site is too small and has no adequate parking facilities) was subjected to a public, hateful tirade from their Mayor, who called him “racist”, “bigot” and swore at him. He lost his job and reputation over it. She refused to apologize. She is also a member of Boy Blunder’s party.

So Turdeau’s connections with political jihadists are much deeper than the public is aware of. We are a prime target for the jihadis, because of the long unguarded border, and now our country is being run by a collaborator. Canada is in BIG trouble – and so are Americans. Welcome to the EU.

        Oct 21, 2015 at 6:39 pm

Yes, it’s true, Kepha. This, from the Ottawa Citizen:

“It has long been known that Trudeau was desperate to avoid military service during the 1940s, and that he liked to mock les Anglais by riding around Montreal on his Harley-Davidson dressed in what many took to be German military regalia…”

Needless to say, few Francophone Canadians behaved this way. Most of them were off fighting Fascism.

        http://www.canada.com/ottawacitizen/news/citizensweekly/story.html?id=e72eeda6-6d2f-4586-8f28-822719408b23

And Pierre Trudeau continued with his love of dictators in the 1970s, embracing Mao and Fidel Castro.

        • Wellington says

          Oct 21, 2015 at 9:53 pm

          Yes indeed, gravenimage, few French Canadians behaved as badly as the elder Trudeau did, but many still behaved badly enough. William Lyon Mackenzie King, Prime Minster of Canada from 1935-1948, and arguably the best PM in Canadian history, had a deuce difficult time of it with French Canadians during WWII. As The Oxford Companion To World War II states, “French-speaking Canadians resolutely opposed a major contribution to the Second World War.” {p.415}

King could only get conscription passed by promising it would not be used for overseas service. By 1942, with the war going badly for the Allies, King tried to get a release from the overseas service pledge and English Canada voted for this by over 80% while French Canada voted for this under 30%. To be fair, many French Canadians did serve honorably in WWII for the Allied cause and performed heroically, but French Canadians in large numbers no more saw the importance of fighting for the Allies than did many Irish (e.g., Eamon De Valera, PM of Ireland during WWII, after Hitler committed suicide personally went to the German Embassy in Dublin to offer his condolences).

From my readings of things, hatred for the English by such peoples as the French Canadians and Irish, even though to be sure such peoples did have legitimate grievances against the English, trumped even opposing Nazism during WWII. As I reckon it, this was hatred taken too far to the point of suicidal blindness. The elder Trudeau was “merely” a symptom of this in an extra egregious way.

      Oct 21, 2015 at 6:29 pm

Yup! He’s been brainwashed by Obama already…..

Canada’s new Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau of the Liberal Party, has said he will pull the Royal Canadian Air Force from the U.S.-led coalition against the Islamic State.

He told President Barack Obama in a telephone call on Tuesday he would honor a campaign pledge to do so. Canada has six jets bombing ISIS targets in Iraq.

“I committed that we would continue to engage in a responsible way that understands how Canada has a role to play in the fight against ISIL,” Trudeau told media. “[Obama] understands the commitments I’ve made around ending the combat mission.”

    • gravenimage says

      Oct 21, 2015 at 6:33 pm

Yes, celticwarriorcanada–and Trudeau père was not just a clueless pacifist–bad enough during WWII–it was uglier than that:

“The Nemnis’ book, a model of scholarly rigour and research, reveals that as a youth and young man in the 1930s and early 1940s, Trudeau was no champion of democracy and individual freedoms. He was instead an ardent Quebec nationalist who, during the worst of the war years, admired fascist dictators, regarded reports of Nazi atrocities as British propaganda, plotted treason against the Canadian state…”

      http://www.canada.com/ottawacitizen/news/citizensweekly/story.html?id=e72eeda6-6d2f-4586-8f28-822719408b23

He was also a nasty antisemite.

That Canadians elected this man as Prime Minister–several times no less, over a sixteen year period–and now his witless son, is very troubling. I doubt many Canadians actually understand this dark legacy.

If you cured your gross ignorance, you would realize that the US and its allies of the moment created ISIS with its constant wars, invasions and occupations in the Middle East. Canada had no part in that foolish and destructive enterprise and it has no duty to help the US get its a** out of the fire it lit there. What America, the UK, France and others are now experiencing with millions of refugees flooding or attempting to move to the West, is a direct result of America’s intervention and violent interaction with many nations in the Levant and close by. It is now reaping the bitter harvest it has sown! Prime Minister Trudeau should get our military out of the area as soon as possible. Enough damage has already been done to the poor people of the Middle East.

I’m certainly not arguing against women voting, mortimer, but, at least here in the US women vote liberal more than men do. Easily so. If only men had the vote, Republicans would win in landslides nationally and pretty much clean up at most state and local levels too.

Married women are more likely to vote Republican than single women who overwhelmingly vote Democratic. I don’t see how, if men alone had the vote, a Democratic candidate for President could ever get elected. Interestingly, though black Americans vote overwhelmingly Democratic, there is a split between men and women even here, with about twice as many black men voting Republican as black women. Just off the top of my head, I think something like 10-12% of black men voted for Bush in 2004 while only about 5% of black women did.

It is very disconcerting to lose Mr. Harper from the international stage. It does not appear that Mr. Trudeau is not up to speed on the reality enveloping the world–even though he is young, he is stuck in the past. Hopefully that will change. Hopefully he will be difficult to corrupt. He handled himself pretty well during the campaign.

It should be noted that the average Canadian is more aligned with Harper than with Obama on the issue of the terrorist threat and the nature of Islam.

Obama made it his priority in office to promote Islam. He started his presidency by stating so in a speech in Egypt. I don’t think this is Mr. Trudeau’s priority. Let’s hope he gives it enough attention to figure out what it all means.

As someone who comes from a long line of liberal party voters, I did not vote for Justin Trudeau. I am able to see beyond the good looks and rhetoric. My co-workers could not wait to see Harper go but few of them explained why. Maybe it is just because the Tories have been in power so long and they felt a need for a change. Unfortunately though, I believe that the change they so long desire will come back and bite them in the ass, if Trudeau follows though with his campaign promises.

They might think that Trudeau is a sideshow freak trying to copy their choreographed Islamic prayer dance moves but Muslims are not supposed to openly mock or gossip about those who are clumsy at the prayer dance party and besides Trudeau (or more appropriately Turdeau) as Don spells it — is serving Islam’s purpose as their useful idiot, so it does not matter to them if he appears “to be meditating like some delusional Majharasi commune escapee.”

Canada’s younger generation was raised on a steady diet of Libtarded propaganda about how multiculturalism will bring Nirvana.

The Libtarded Party of Canada is a bunch of trendy cultural Marxists who haven’t read a book in 10 or 20 years and get their information from watered down versions of other cultural Marxists. The people who voted for them smoke pot before breakfast wear expensive foreign shoes, drive foreign cars and believe in living on borrowed money. The election was a personality contest in which the opposition parties were not exactly winners so much as Harper the loser. Harper’s dull, plodding personality turned young people off. Justin’s beautiful hair was much more important than his lack of brains. Trudeau hasn’t any coherent political philosophy or theory exact to live on borrowed money. He has never had to balance a budget because he was born into the lap of luxury and doesn’t understand the concept. He will have a rough ride once the public turns on him.

Not an unreasonable fear. In other words, not a phobia, that is to say an irrational fear. Obama began legislating from the Oval Office about five years ago. This had never, ever, been done before. Yes, there had been some gray area disputes around foreign policy having to do with military actions, but nothing stark. The nation officially lost its virginity when President Barack Hussein Obama issued his decree years ago that he had no choice but to re-legislate the welfare work rule requiring AFDC recipients to get a damned job. In response, the morons in the news entertainment industry proceeded to spend countless hours debating that executive orders had been used many times before, ignoring the fact that the distinction is whether the prior EOs were issued to carry out the law or to subvert it.

That said, the 2-term limit is just another law, and His Highness Barack Hussein has violated the law by diktat dozens of time now, and again this has never bee done before in the nation’s history. But, he’ll leave office, cuz he knows that breaking the law on tenure would make his popularity disappear altogether, that even the low information voter would finally get it through his thick skull that this guy is a dictator.

      You want the good news?

June 2015 produced the highest number of firearms background checks in the entire 17 year history of the National Instant Background Check System.

For the seventh year in a row, Barrack Hussein Obama has been declared “best gun salesman” in United States History, by CCRKBA.

Concealed carry across the U.S. is skyrocketing.

According to a recent report from the Crime Prevention Research Center:
“…during the eight years from 1999 to 2007, permits increased by about 240,000 per year. During the next four years, the number of permits surged by 850,000 per year. Then from the end of 2011 to 2013 the yearly increase rose by 1,550,000. And during the last year the increase has continued to accelerate to 1,700,000.”

Meanwhile, according to the FBI’s annual crime report, violent crime has DECREASED in all city groupings, with a significant decrease in homicides.

In ten states a permit is no longer required for legal concealed carry.

At present 5.2% of the adult population of the U.S. now has a permit to carry.

So, when “Canadian” Jihadis swarm across our Northern border to create “TERROR” in the American Infidel population, they just might find it a bit more work than they anticipated.

Going deeper into Canada’s 2015 federal election results
New voters may have been key component of Liberals’ victory
By Daniel Schwartz, CBC News Posted: Oct 21, 2015
    http://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/canada-election-2015-numbers-1.3281210

Drilling down into the Oct. 19 election results, which gave Justin Trudeau and the Liberals 39.5 per cent of the popular vote and 184 seats in the House of Commons, reveals how new voters tipped the scales.

CBC News has published complete riding results here, with seat numbers, demographics, polling numbers and more, but here we add some numbers on gains and losses, close races, second-place finishes, and comparisons to the last election in 2011.
The total number of votes for the parties shows that only the NDP lost a big number of votes — almost a million. The Conservatives stayed at about the same number, while the Liberals gained more than four million, suggesting they may have received the votes of a huge share of the new voters in this election.
    (2)
This “leader” Trudeau doesn’t think straight and he has extremely poor communication skills. He talks gobbledegook.

    From the Guardian (c) 2015:
    http://www.theguardian.com/world/2015/oct/21/canada-end-airstrikes-syria-iraq-new-prime-minister-trudeau
In his first news conference following the sweeping majority Liberal victory in Canada’s federal election, the visibly fatigued leader said he had spoken with US president Barack Obama in a phone call during which he discussed his intention to pull Canada’s fighter jets out of the anti-Isis campaign.

“I committed that we would continue to engage in a responsible way that understands how important Canada’s role is to play in the fight against Isil, but he understands the commitments I’ve made about ending the combat mission,” Trudeau said.

    Orwell’s description of political speech is extremely similar to the contemporary definition of doublespeak;
“In our time, political speech and writing are largely the defence of the indefensible… Thus political language has to consist largely of euphemism, question-begging and sheer cloudy vagueness… the great enemy of clear language is insincerity. Where there is a gap between one’s real and one’s declared aims, one turns as it were instinctively to long words and exhausted idioms, …[9]”

Well, I like your post. You expressed a point of view that most of the contributors are in vehement disagreement with, but you made your case literately and politely. It’s actually far better to have the opposing point of view presented the way you do it, rather than the semi-literate Muslims who generally post here.

As I see it, it’s objective reality. Are we just being bigots towards Muslims, who are “strange” and therefore to be rejected by unenlightened people? Or, is there something more? Is there an actual danger that accompanies the presence of a significant number of Muslims in a Western society?

There are actual two approaches you can take. Do you work from Islamic doctrine, and show that by mainstream Islamic law, that sharia must prevail and non-Muslims must be subservient to Muslims? Someone like you can take two approaches. You can argue that Muslim supremacy is not an accurate reflection of Islamic law, and that Islamic law is actually tolerant and allows the separation of state and religion. Good luck on that. Of course, if you want to make a case, go ahead and make it. There are many contributors who are quite familiar with Islamic law on this site.

The other approach you can take is to say that Muslims in the US and Canada don’t actually care about sharia law. All they want to do is integrate into the culture and make money, like everyone else. That makes it an empirical question: are Muslims as supportive of individual liberties and separation of church and state as, say, Anglicans? Are Muslims more likely to be on welfare, to be involved in terror acts, to engage in family violence (honor killings), and to be involved in criminal acts, such as the rape gangs in Britain?

There is actually a third approach you can take. You can ignore Islamic doctrine, Islamic actions, and just say “It’s simply wrong to discriminate against someone because of their religion, background, culture, or view of government and religion. Just allow in everybody, and let the chips fall where they may.

Let me know if you see yet another approach to the question.

Muslim Chap: there is a difference between opposing Islamic extremism and jihadist terrorism, and expressing bigotry towards Muslims as people. When Ben Affleck was arguing with Bill Maher and Sam Harris, Harris stated, “Listen, I’m giving you what you want. There are hundreds of millions of Muslims in the world who are moderate, and who don’t take their faith so seriously or literally.”

The problem however, is if you have a faith which has around 1.5 billion people, and 10-15 percent of them currently subscribe to the religious interpretations of groups such as ISIS, al-Qaeda, Boko Haram, Jemaah Islamiah. al-Shebab, the Taliban and Hezbollah, then that’s at least 150 000 000 dangerous extremists.

Even Hamas, which is relatively moderate compared with those other groups (ie they don’t believe in killing all non-Muslims), believes in committing genocide against all Jewish Israelis and even Jews worldwide.

      ……………………..

Is concern over those 27,000+ Jihad terror attacks just since 9/11 “baseless nonsense”? Your Jihadi coreligionists certainly don’t think so. The London Train bombings? The Boston Marathon bombings? The Charlie Hebdo massacre? Are you fine will all of this Muslim savagery, and do you believe we should be fine with it as well?

      More:

You anti-muslim people are on the losing team. You will never succeed with your hate. Never.
      ……………………..

In other words, you believe you will be unopposed in the Islamic agenda of waging violent Jihad and imposing oppressive Shari’ah law–you laughably characterize standing against this as “hate”. You are wrong in thinking we will not resist. We are not going away.

It took a long tome for the West to finally wake up to the Fascist threat in the 1930s and 1940s–and why? Because civilized people are slow to recognize barbarism–it does not come naturally to us, because we are not barbarous ourselves.

But we *will* wake up to the threat, and will oppose it–and sites like this are a great part of that.

I’m first and foremost anti-Islam, Muslim Chap, and not first and foremost anti-Muslim, though the two tend to mesh a lot. The Islamic faith is a mortal enemy of liberty and equality under the law. If you deny this, then you are either ignorant or mendacious.

Islam is like no other religion on earth and it is the only religion that calls for war to be made upon the unbeliever. In no majority Muslim nation is there freedom or equality under the law for non-Muslims. Also, Muslim countries are desultory places, some of course worse than others if not fortunate enough to have natural resources that can be tapped by Western technology. I mean who moves to a Muslim country from a non-Muslim state? Ask yourself why millions of Muslims want to move to the West. Sure ain’t happening the other way around, now is it?

Islam is dismal. All Muslims are confused and many are malevolent. Antipathy towards Islam worldwide is growing every year. Do you have any idea how sick of Islam untold millions of Westerners are? Have you not seen the polls? Muslims are fortunate that the Western elites in the political realm, the media and academia have bought into the twin idiocies of political correctness and multiculturalism, otherwise not nearly as many Muslims would be in the West right now, having escaped from the hell-holes which Islam creates wherever it dominates. And I wouldn’t read too much into the Canadian election. Trudeau was elected for a myriad of reasons, all bad ones, and he will soon prove to be a disaster.

You ask: Why do Muslims move to Western nations?
For many it is primarily economics to provide a future for their children.

However, for some, it provides an opportunity to re-locate within the society that they wish to destroy. It’s the old Trojan horse pattern.
These are the ones that we need to identify and weed them out.
How to do this? How to read their deceit? This is the major question.
For those who do sneak into the West with malicious intent, we need to be firm in deporting them and their families.

The sad fact is that his own father should be the inspiration for dealing with terrorism.

During the 1970 FLQ crisis, Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau called in the military over a few hundred Quebec separatists setting of bombs and a kidnapping. In a famous interview with reporter outside the parliament hill when asked how far he would go to maintain Canada… his answer was “Well… just watch me.” (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-7_a2wa2dd4)

Within two days, Pierre Trudeau invoked the War Measures Act. Tens of thousands of troops lined the streets of Montreal and the police simply grabbed any FLQ member, supporter, family member, etc. without charges, contact, or lawyers for up to 30 days. Within a week.. it FLQ was all but gone and there wasn’t a single terrorist attack thereafter.

Today his son walks past the same steps his father said those words and the same steps a jihadi gunman raced into parliament after murdering a soldier. And we aren’t hearing “Just watch me.”

Merkel – WTH is WRONG with her? I am buying some Hungarian wine today, anything to show support by helping their economy we should do big or small. I would love to vacation to that beautiful place some day.

Australia is showing Western countries how to intercept, detain and process illegal alien invader muslims with no papers by not even allowing them to set foot on their soil, doing this at a third party location. Their success at this shows It CAN be done!

@donovan – I’m Canadian and you know what? NOT ONE of the 9/11 hijackers came to the US from Canada – NOT A SINGLE ONE! Shame on you for perpetuating this lie!

And as for Baby Justine, wow, where to begin. This effete little swish, guess what his qualifications are to hold the Prime Minister’s Office are? Absolutely none, nada, zilch, zip, niente, And you though Obama was underqualified.

Baby Justine, born with the proverbial silver spoon, to his “towering intellect” arrogant, narcissistic commie worshipping father and the much younger bipolar groupie flake of a mother, He never really held a serious job. His “qualifications” a part-time high school drama teacher, a substitute teacher of French (which he did not study, he was brought up bilingual) He got a few not that impressive degrees and then did some two bit acting. That’s it.

And this is what we got stuck with. If you Americans thought you have a weak ineffectual leader, get the popcorn ready cause this show is going to get crazy. Putin has to be doubled over laughing right now, he’d squash Baby Justine like an ant.

But don’t worry – Justine is dreamy, look at all that shiny hair, that handsome face, and he has the magic name – Trudeau! The immigrants especially loved poppa Trudeau cause he REALLY opened the floodgates to them, promised them a “just society” and now us original Canadians are a minority in our own cities.

Remember “Trudeaumania” when his dad hit the scene all those years ago? It’s baaaack!

    We are so effing screwed.

Interesting that we found out that Tides Foundation San Francisco financed Trudeau and the NDP in the election. Tides an American environmental group funnelled money through a Canadian group to unite the left against Harper in swing areas. This is illegal under our election act.

That seems likely. Where is the information from? Definitely a violation of the Elections Act. Where is the Council of Canadians? Are they not the ones who look after the integrity of our elections? I would like to see a complaint filed with Elections Canada — but where is this information from?

Vivian Krause is a researcher who discovered this. She tracks foreign funding by environmental groups like Tides Foundation. It was also reported in The Rebel Media

Interestingly, while I was reading a few articles in local news day after the election, when the pollsters were asking the people they stopped on the street who they voted for and if it was yes to the liberals and then asked why, most could not articulate as to specifically why – most shrugged their shoulders or said it seemed their friends were or it seemed to them most others were so they were going with that. Lo info indeed and pretty freaking scary.

Canadians need to know more about the Americans who financed the hatred against Prime Minister Harper so that Justin Trudeau, spewing Obama platitudes won. Who financed this coup detat? Add to that he is cute. Cute . I would like to know in detail how Americans plotted to get rid of PM Harper and put a silly boy with the right name in, as puppet.

Canada is not Syria, or Sudan, or even Sweden.
The world is not a gesture away from holding hands and singing in harmony.
    Some leaders realize that.
That is what makes them leaders.

Canada is adrift, a dinghy of starry-eyed fans hoping that the cute captain can read a map, or has one.

39 % is not a majority. When you look at foreign money illegally used to promote hate for Harper, unions war room to promote hate for Harper and a Liberal biased media, it isn’t even democracy.

  38. Ann Stewart says

Correction Mr. Veitch, 60% of Canadians did not vote for JT. Not being among the ‘no-info’ or ‘low-info’ voters, most of us knew better than to vote for someone by a last name only, esp since most of can recall and not so fondly, the egocentric personality of his father along with some of his more devastating national and foreign policies. History has not been kind to his legacy. But, more importantly, it was imperative not to vote for someone who is so unprepared to assume the position as PM of this great country that he will require ‘on the job training’. You can be assured that, at the moment, the powerful backroom boys of the Liberal Party are frantically trying to do a ‘makeover’ of JT in order to present him on the world stage in Nov where he begins his official duties as PM. The ‘cute boy’ with the flippant attitude and ‘great hair’ image will have to be replaced and quickly in order to prevent embarrassment to them and to Canada. It will probably be advisable as well to keep as many microphones away from his lips as possible given his penchant for embarrassing faux pas. All this in preparation for JT’s first ‘trial by fire’.
As to the ‘respect’ issue Mr. Veitch, ‘respect’ is something that is not automatic, it is earned. There are exceptions to this of course, for example, if you happen to live in North Korea or Communist China (a country that JT admires BTW) where you have no choice.

Justin is the ‘prize’ for any Islamist to use to carry out their agenda. They must realize by now that the media would do anything and everything to protect liberals, so why not infiltrate within and have their agenda protected as well.

I didn’t vote for Trudeau, but I couldn’t vote for Harpo either. Will Trudeau raise taxes? Harpo put so many necessary projects on the back-burner. Do we want / need a modern military? Somebody has to pay for it. Want to patrol the artic? With what? We need boats and aircraft suitable for the job. Do our used submarines work yet? Harpo wouldn’t fund them. Bomb ISIS? With our antique aircraft? The U.S. created ISIS, Should we not strike at the heart? The U.S. has invaded 8 (?) muslim countries, killed millions of their population. Should they not strike back? Of course they use terror tactics. They don’t have a trillion dollar military to protect them from the illegal wars that the U.S. starts, then leaves the country in a mess. Oh, wait, the U.S. never leaves a country that they go to war with (just ask Germany and Japan). I doni’t know what blackmail Israel had on Harpo, but why would any-one stand up for that lawless country. Israel commits piracy on the hi seas, Harpo applauds them. Bomb Palistine? Invade and build settlements? Bomb hospitals and schools? Kill canadians? Build atomic weapons? Attack Iran, and try to get the U.S. to invade Iran. Hopefully we won’t be such a puppet for Israel, but I have my doubts. Why did my tax dollars build a holacaust memorial in Ottawa? Why did Harpo put sanctions on Russia? (because he was told to?) It’s pretty easy to see that Russia is behaving very well, considering that the U.S. is breaking treaties with them, surrounding their country with first strike missles and getting Turkey to provoke them. They also seem to be doing so much better at attacking ISIS than the U.S. could hope to do. But then, the U.S. wants ISIS to help over throw another government, so you really can’t expect the U.S. to do much. Which side are we on, again?
Canada used to have respect around the world. I hope we can get some back.

Trudeau has some similarities to Obama, he sees the good in all people and refuses to buy into the right wing fear warmongering about evil Muslims etc., The difference in politics makes a talking point only, for unlike Obama, the prime minister with a majority in the house such as Trudeau, has unlimited power to make change, and he is unfettered of Congress and the Senate, as they do not exist in real terms in Canada. This means he is also free of the corruption and pork belly politics that dominate the the USA. Compare if you will, but if Obama had real power as president he might of actually accomplished something.
