Jihad Watch

Exposing the role that Islamic jihad theology and ideology play in the modern global conflicts

Robert Spencer, PJM: U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops: Bring Us More Jihadis

Oct 16, 2015 2:27 pm By Robert Spencer

And don’t you dare cross the red line of criticizing a bishop. Well, here I go, in PJ Media:

Catholic-Bishops

“‘Woe to the shepherds who destroy and scatter the sheep of my pasture!’ says the LORD.” — Jeremiah 23:1

“Because, yea, because they have misled my people, saying, ‘Peace,’ when there is no peace.” — Ezekiel 13:10

The U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops is calling for the U.S. to take in 100,000 Syrian refugeesthis year alone.

The Conference shows no sign of knowing or caring that the Islamic State said last February that it would soon flood Europe with as many as 500,000 refugees. Or that an Islamic State operative recently boasted that, among the flood of refugees, 4,000 Islamic State jihadis had entered Europe. Or that the Lebanese Education Minister said there were 20,000 jihadis among the refugees in camps in his country.

Or that 80% of the migrants who claim to be fleeing the war in Syria aren’t actually from Syria at all, or that German Interior Minister Thomas de Maiziere said the Islamic State is sneaking into the country with the refugees and is active in the refugee camps. Why would these “refugees” think they had to present themselves to Europe, which has welcomed the refugees, with false pretenses unless they had nefarious intentions?

Meanwhile, the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops is, as Ann Corcoran of Refugee Resettlement Watch points out, “NOT advocating to save the persecuted Christians of Syria through this program.” Instead, bishops such as Robert McManus, Kevin Farrell, Jaime Soto, and others are moving to silence those who speak about the Muslim persecution of Christians, and about the Islamic doctrines mandating warfare against and subjugation of Christians.

After years of tolerating open dissent from core Church teachings, the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops moves like a Stalinist regime to silence and ostracize those who dare whisper a hint of dissent from their new and ironclad dogma that Islam is a religion of peace.

To take just one of many sorry examples of how energetically they move to crush dissent on this point, on August 13, 2015, I was the keynote speaker at the annual convocation of the North American Lutheran Church in Dallas, Texas (Kevin Farrell’s diocese). I spoke about the global Muslim persecution of Christians. The U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops, I was told, sends a representative to the North American Lutheran Church convocation every year. However, this year, when the USCCB found out I was the keynote speaker, they pulled their rep from the Lutheran convocation, lest anyone get the idea that the Catholic Church endorsed a truthful and accurate analysis of the plight of Middle Eastern Christians.

No worries, gentlemen: no one will ever mistake you for people who are interested in telling uncomfortable truths. Watch the video of my talk here, and consider that this talk was too hot for the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops.

The U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops enforces obedience to their spurious, self-defeating dogma of Islam being peaceful in pursuit of chimerical “dialogue”. This supposedly all-important Muslim-Christian dialogue hasn’t saved a single Christian from Muslim persecution, or turned one jihadi into a peaceful man.

What this insistence on “dialogue” has actually accomplished is the abandonment of untold numbers of Christians to their fates at the hands of those jihadis. They have been abandoned by those who should have been appealing to the conscience of the global community on their behalf.

Now, we learn what this craven behavior by the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops is all about. The U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops received $79,590,512 in 2014 alone – that’s right, nearly 80 million dollars — from the federal government for the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops Migration Fund.

This money constitutes 97% of the budget of this corrupt, authoritarian fraternity.

Stories like this should bring down the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops, but Catholics are reluctant in the extreme to criticize bishops, no matter what they do, and tend to shun those who dare to speak out anyway. But that attitude is what led to the priest abuse scandals.

For several years I accused Jaime Soto of moral cowardice for withdrawing his representative from a conference where I was speaking, even though I wasn’t speaking about the Muslim persecution of Christians, or anything related to Islam at all. Another speaker then pulled out of the conference because I had dared to criticize a bishop, and conference organizers then nervously told me that it was crossing a red line to accuse a bishop of moral cowardice.

Bishops cannot be guilty of moral cowardice? Bishops cannot be criticized, no matter what they do? Imagine holding a job or position that rendered one immune from criticism!

The bishops, as putative shepherds of souls, should be aware that such immunity is dangerous to one’s soul. Being surrounded by sycophants is never healthy — just look at what became of Elvis when none of his entourage dared suggest he seek help for his pill addiction, or dared tell him that maybe it wasn’t a good idea to fly to Colorado to get a sandwich made with peanut butter, blueberry jam, and a pound of bacon.

Closer to home, what did the Catholic Church gain from no one daring to call Bishop Patrick Ziemann of Santa Rosa, California to account when he sexually exploited a priest and squandered millions of the diocese’s money?

What did the Church gain from Archbishop Rembert Weakland paying his male lover $450,000 to keep quiet about their affair?

What has the Church gained from the massive coverup by bishops of priestly sex abuse? Should no one have dared criticize Cardinal Bernard Law of Boston for covering up that abuse?

What if a bishop really is guilty of moral cowardice? Who will have the courage to bear the ostracism and opprobrium that will come from telling him, and what will become of the bishop if no one does tell him, other than that he will continue to be a moral coward, and probably worse as well?

In light of the fact that they are not perfect beings, and they are far from that, bishops should be aware that sometimes the voice of truth and reason is speaking through their critics, and that to slap down those critics with an authoritarian hand does not automatically render their own position correct. In fact, it may likely demonstrate that their position is incorrect, insofar as it cannot be defended with reason but only propped up by force.

Since bishops are neither impeccable nor infallible, it does no one any good to stay silent when they are doing actual wrong that harms the Church and society as a whole. Catholics seem to have lost sight of that. Acquiescing to evil because a bishop is acquiescing to evil is neither genuine charity nor genuine obedience….

LET’S FACE REALITY — BISHOPS IN THE CATHOLIC CHURCH ARE JUST AS ADDICTED TO THE COMFORT MONEY BRINGS AS ARE 90% OF THE REST OF US “LOW RANK” SCHLUBS.

And Prince Alwaleed’s $$$$$32 Billion$$$$$$ is landing in places that are never disclosed. The backstory on this may come out some day — if the U.S. survives over the Islam-triumph crowd.

If you want to see what AN OPEN DISCLOSURE OF SAUDI MONEY PRODUCES visit Georgetown University’s ACMCA “Muslim-Christian” interfaith dialogue scam. Search for any evidence of actual Christians having a frank discussion of the slaughter and subjugation they suffer.

If the bishops had a strategy of bringing in Muslims and THEN intensely EVANGELIZING THEM, it would be different. However, they are merely being sentimental, rather than doing their job of PREACHING THE GOSPEL TO EVERY CREATURE.

    SHAME on the bishops.

Many Catholic bishops are plagued with pride. Their D.D. post nominal is partly responsible for it. Further, for the US Catholic bishop, $79+ million per annum is a bounty after numerous sexual abuse lawsuits that have crippled the finances of numerous US dioceses (Estimated to be between $2B to $3B in payouts).

I suspect that the higher ups in the Catholic Church have dreams of Muslims en masse suddenly deciding they want to be Catholic. And they probably think that this is more likely to occur if they are in the West.

Personally, I think the concept is delusional.

Anecdotally, I’m in the US and my general area is supposed to receive “refugees” at some point. However, we keep being told they are gong to be Chaldeans, since there is a Chaldean population here.

Among the many other things Jesus Christ said, one was about the difficulty of the rich to enter into the Kingdom of Heaven. Easier for a camel to get through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to get into His Father’s Kingdom.(Matthew 19:24)
And He also said, one cannot slave for two masters….for God and for money. (Matthew 6:24)

Look at the photo, a broad sense of the love of money on their faces, and love for the things of this world. The photo begs for a caption contest: “what did YOU have for lunch” “did you try the ham and potatoes” “the coffee was great” “henry you look nice today” “I cannot get this kernel of corn out of my teeth” “are sweet potatoes really on the menu this evening?” “how are you Ed?” “there really should be more ham” “yes, more ham, Ed” “George you look nice” “yes, nice, it’s all about being nice” “except toward those who expose our utter narcissism” “yes, true indeed.”

Why would anyone depend on the American Catholic Bishops to do the right thing at this point in time? They have been betraying American Catholics for almost a century. They did not honor the Blessed Mother’s request to consecrate Russia to her immaculate heart with the Pope and all the other bishops throughout the world on one specific day. They did not stand against the Vatican Moscow Treaty. They were wishy-washy when Roe vs. Wade made abortion legal in all fifty states. They stand for whatever is modern and promotes man as God and tell Jesus Christ to go to hell. Supporting the communist/liberal/progressive agenda of flooding western civilization with destruction minded barbarians? Par for the course.

”Why would anyone depend on the American Catholic Bishops to do the right thing at this point in time?”

Isabella, I think myself, that American Catholic Bishops simply mirror the lack of leadership and integrity throughout the Christian hierarchy. Francis, Welby et al. They’re all empty cymbals, and hollow drums.

Christians have nothing to hope for from the ‘leadership’ of the Church.

Stick to your Bibles, and your personal relationship with your God.

        Hello Mirren,

Thank you so much for your kind words. It was a pure fluke that I disappeared for so long. I don’t know if it was a new computer or what but for two solid years I could not access the website. I know Robert didn’t block me because I have seen him since that time at different functions and we get along just fine. I remember I was really super busy at the time and every time I couldn’t get in I would fiddle with it for a little while and then when it didn’t work, I had to go. Along with my business I’ve been taking care of my 90 year old mom for the past five years which has worn me down to a nub and I am actually home with bronchitis today so I’ve had time today to check out the site and throw in my two cents.

I am a traditional Catholic, born in 1959. I follow the teachings of the Church including not remarrying after my 1994 divorce. My friends all told me 21 years ago that I would get married again, but I knew I wouldn’t. Since I’ve been alive there hasn’t been a time that a huge percentage of the hierarchy of my Church hasn’t been collusive in the destruction of my church. They don’t want to get it that to modernize the Church is to erase the Church. The Catholic Church recognizes that Jesus Christ is Lord and we are subject to His will. Luckily for us He is the loving God, unlike that imposter called Allah, (or Satan, whichever you prefer,) Who gives us the free will to reject Him or accept Him, our choice. And He has the power of life or death over us so we should really take a look at that. I tell my formerly Catholic friends all the time that Jesus Christ is the only game in town. And at the very least, if you take into consideration that He lets us choose and Allah forces his poor, pathetic followers to do his will or he annihilates them in the most horrible ways possible. He is a much more attractive Being.

Now come the Catholic bishops who have been slowly changing the rules, confusing the faithful, watering down the doctrine and basically pulling an Obama by just throwing out the rules they don’t like and ridiculing those of us who hold fast to our Catholic beliefs. We have the carnage to prove that it doesn’t work. Mass attendance has plummeted, something like 3/4 of the “faithful” don’t believe that Jesus is present in the Blessed Sacrament and instead of getting kicked to the curb until they clean up their act many Catholics live with their boyfriends or have abortions or live in homosexual relationships and drop by when they feel like it to pick up some Communion now and then and go on their merry way without having the proper frame of mind or making sure their souls are in a state of Grace to receive Jesus in His body, blood, soul and divinity, and none of the hierarchy does and damned thing about it.

I don’t know why the Church insisted on giving me a well formed conscience if they didn’t want me to use it. But I do use it and I will use it to tell the truth, no matter what the fall out may be. And let me say that if a person wants to live with their boyfriend or have an abortion or live in a homosexual relationship that is there business and their choice and based on the laws in our society they may do that. But they may not practice these things and count themselves as practicing Catholics.

So like you said, we have to stick close to our Bibles and our relationship with Jesus and I will add, get to the sacraments as often as possible, and we need to get on our knees and pray and make sacrifices for others to see the light and come to the truth before the hoards arrive. And I will tell the truth about the evil the Catholic bishops are perpetrating, not because they are Catholic as some Protestants believe but because they act like anti-Catholics and do not defend the faith that has given me so much and means everything to me.

I’m a Catholic too, trad Latin Mass. And of course we’ve got some serious problems in the Church. But what else is new? It’s flawed sinners running things since Our Blessed Lord ascended into Heaven…

Unlike the muslims, tho’, we don’t pretend ‘It’s not the Catholic Church!’ when corruption comes to light. But I love the Church as you do, and I would never (please God) leave. Besides! Show me the Church w/o stain?

The Bishop’s Conference is greedy and nuts into the bargain.

          Salaam Isabella,

I can see and hear your pain in your essay…a bitter and lonely life…you probably isolated your hubby …and he walked. Your God asks unnecessary pain off you and your soul is asking whether it has been worth it … and you dress it up as “yes, this is part of my faith” to console yourself.

Since 1994 …you have missed the seed of man inside of you and it has been frustrating …what to do…those cold showers aren’t enough …the midnight sware to the church …whilst secretly hoping to meet a new man to light up your life.. but it has not happened.

Now to compound to your suffering …your 95 year old mother refuses to go..and you want to vent your feelings…smash that computer …no no better still go to JW and take it out on Muslims…yes that old chestnut again.

I know that Graven is suffering like you with her Mother-in-Law..but she has special plans for her…she has a surprise for her husband…Dennis will forever become a mummy’s boy.

Mirren herself is a lonely old woman too …and yes the church isn’t there for your …and to boot those peoples in charge want to import a 100,000 muslims from the ME.
Assuming about 300 passengers /plane …that is nearly 300 planes …you know flying to Washington, NY, Florida, Chicago, Minnesotta , Montana…San Fran… I mean the list will be endless.

Isabella…forget about this crusader crap…and become someone’s 2nd wife as a muslima. The ummah will gather around you and help take care of your mother…and to boot …you will get occasional man seed and your life will be back on track.

          You know it makes sense,

          More Later …

I hadn’t seen this Rezali character in a while and thought he had given up and gone away. He is a muslim male who pretends to post as a woman, but the psychology does not seem right to me. His brain is pickled on porn and the quran, seemingly in equal measure. He carries on some sort of personal vendetta against some of the lady commenters who he perceives as vulnerable in some way, or, perhaps it is the opposite, and it is their strength which offends him in particular. I think it’s the *strength*.

Old rezali is a typical mohammedan male – obsessed with sex, and loathing of women who put him in his place.

He has a particular animus for myself and gravenimage. gravenimage is an extremely talented artist, and produced a brilliant and very disturbing depiction of what mohammed’s rape of little nine year old Aisha would have looked like. That got right up old rezali’s nose, he describes it as ”holy matrimony ordained by allah”. Blech. Gravenimage also effortlessly dissects rezali’s schizophrenic babble.

He’s also attacked Champ, who is a Christian, and defends her faith admirably. And now he’s having a go at Isabella.

He hates me because I take the piss. 🙂

His postings are instructive, though, delineating as they do, the dark and evil mind of mohammedans. In that, he’s quite useful. 🙂

This article brings up a lot of different points. I find it difficult to respond without writing a long comment.

I wanted to share the article on immigration that was from the US Conference of Bishops.

The Catholic Catechism instructs the faithful that good government has two duties, both of which must be carried out and neither of which can be ignored.

    1. The first duty is to welcome the foreigner out of charity and respect for the human person.

    2. The second duty is to secure one’s border and enforce the law for the sake of the common good. Sovereign nations have the right to enforce their laws and all persons must respect the legitimate exercise of this right. Immigrants are obliged to respect with gratitude the material and spiritual heritage of the country that receives them, to obey its laws and to assist in carrying civic burdens.” Catholic Catechism, 2241.

The intention of the Church in welcoming migrants is to protect families and children, and that is a good thing. I believe the issue here is in striking a balance between helping those who need help, being realistic about what that help entails, and protecting their own. I agree that “we” don’t seem to be reaching the people who really need help. I agree that any good intentions made by the church could result in “us” letting in thousands of people who intend to destroy our Church and our United States of America.

I am a Catholic who does NOT agree with bringing 100,000 Syrians to the United States. AND I DO voice my opinion. AND I most likely will remain Catholic. Like it or not, and sex scandals aside, the Church has done a lot of good in this world.

The Church (as the body of Christ) has done a lot of good in the world. However, the church’s leadership (her prelates – a substantial portion thereof) has not.

    GARABANDAL, SPAIN:

    The Second Message
    JUNE 18, 1965

As my message of October 18 has not been complied with and has not been made known to the world, I am advising you that this is the last one. Before, the cup was filling up. Now it is flowing over.

Many cardinals, many bishops and many priests are on the road to perdition and are taking many souls with them. Less and less importance is being given to the Eucharist. You should turn the wrath of God away from yourselves by your efforts.

If you ask for His forgiveness with sincere hearts, He will pardon you. I, your mother, through the intercession of Saint Michael the Archangel, ask you to amend your lives. You are now receiving the last warnings.

I love you very much and do not want your condemnation. Pray to us with sincerity and we will grant your requests. You should make more sacrifices. Think about the passion of Jesus.

    HI Kathy Brown!

Good to hear from you. I know you understand that the true Catholic Church that lives in the believers is the best place to be on the planet, (or off! ) The hierarchy of the Church has lost sight of that and it renders them pathetic. Staying close to Jesus and telling the truth about the insignificant Mohammad while educating poor backward Muslims like Rezali, a DEFINITE member of Ole’-Mo’s-Worship-the-Penis Club, makes this life worth living.

Rather than arguing with the obviously frustrated Rezali, what you say we pray him out of Islam and into Catholicism? It’s clear that he just doesn’t get it, and won’t as long as he sees Allah and his ding-dong as being interchangeable.

good to see you posting again and know you are okay.

I will pray for you and your mum. Quite a few of us are now reaching the age when parents are growing very elderly and frail and need care.

I posted some pro-Israel links and articles exposing the Catholic church’s bias towards Israel on their Conference of Bishop’s Facebook page and they blocked me and deleted my comments.

These wicked men are Marxist globalists–they are NOT Biblically Christian–they are as Godless as their father Satan–Such is typical of the hierarchy of the Roman Catholic Church. When Sodomy is promoted–hatred and all manner of wickedness abounds.

Wouldn’t it be *wonderful* if instead, as one man, they were all holding a sit-in – or a pray-in! how about a novena? – at the front gate of the White House – and/ or the front steps of the Capitol – *demanding* loud and clear that *every* refugee admitted from Syria – and Iraq – MUST be one of the mortally-endangered indigenous Christians from that region? (Easy enough to do that: just get in touch with Barnabas Fund and Canon Andrew White and Sr Hatune, and one or two other reputable Christian NGOs and activists who have been working with the persecuted Christian minority communities in Syria and Iraq – and among the displaced Christians who’ve made it out to Turkey, Lebanon and Jordan – for *years*; I’m sure that Barnabas, for example, if told by the US immigration dept that “we can offer 10,000 tickets to America to bona fide Chaldean Catholics and Nestorian and Orthodox Christians”, would have no difficulty in filling every place, from those who have been on their books for ages).

One bishop could put up his hand, say, and make an offer, via Barnabas: “I have in my diocese an almost-empty convent with room for 100 nuns and their abbess…My dear brother in Christ, Syrian Catholic Bishop [ ], can you round me up 100 Syrian Catholic nuns to fill that convent? My diocese can pay for their plane fares…”.
