Exposing the role that Islamic jihad theology and ideology play in the modern global conflicts

U.S., Saudis to bolster support for “moderate Syrian opposition”

Oct 26, 2015 8:09 pm By Robert Spencer

This moderate Syrian opposition is made up of Islamic jihadists. Former Defense Intelligence Agency director Michael Flynn recently confirmed that the Obama Administration knowingly decided to support al-Qaeda and the Muslim Brotherhood in Syria, and directly enabled the rise of the Islamic State. The rebels are not by any stretch of the imagination “moderates”: they’re pro-Sharia Islamic jihad terrorists. Remember, the Obama Administration spent $500 million to find and train “moderates” in Syria, and could only come up with fifty trainees.

“U.S., Saudi Arabia to bolster support for moderate Syrian opposition,” Reuters, October 25, 2015:

The United States and Saudi Arabia agreed to increase support to Syria’s moderate opposition while seeking a political resolution of the four-year conflict, the U.S. State Department said after Secretary of State John Kerry met King Salman on Saturday.

Kerry was in Riyadh for meetings with the Saudi monarch, crown prince, deputy crown prince and foreign minister – the last stop in a trip that also included Vienna, where he met counterparts from Saudi Arabia, Turkey and Russia.

“They pledged to continue and intensify support to the moderate Syrian opposition while the political track is being pursued,” the State Department statement said after Kerry’s meetings in Saudi Arabia. It did not spell out what kind of support would be offered

Rebels have appealed for more military support from foreign backers, including Saudi Arabia, to confront major Syrian army offensives. Those offensives are backed by Lebanese Hezbollah and Iranian fighters and Russian air strikes.

The United States and Saudi Arabia, together with other states opposed to Assad, already provides some military support to Syrian rebels. That includes training by the Central Intelligence Agency and anti-tank missiles.

Kerry said in Vienna on Friday he expected new talks on Syria to begin as soon as next week. So far, all diplomatic efforts to end the conflict have foundered over the demand by the United States and its allies that Assad leave power, which he refuses to consider.

Saudi Arabia, a strident opponent of Assad, has said he must be removed from power to eliminate the militant Islamic State. Riyadh has also criticized Russia’s bombing campaign in Syria.

Foreign Minister Adel al-Jubeir said after the Vienna meeting that he and his fellow participants had not reached consensus on Assad’s political future.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said the Kremlin wanted Syria to prepare for parliamentary and presidential elections.

Washington has criticized Moscow, which has been bombing Islamist militants in Syria since Sept. 30, for focusing most of its firepower on groups supported by the West and its allies rather than Islamic State….

In the meantime, US military airdrops 50 tons of ammo for Syrian islamic jihadist mass-murderers so that they could murder more innocent Syrian Christians:

ISIS and the Muslim Brotherhood are one and the same. When they lost Egypt, they showed their real face.
As I said before, ISIS is made *in* and *by* the USA; the plot involved the CIA, the WH, the Muslim Brotherhood, Turkey, the Saudis and Qatar.

What Obama and the Saudis have in mind for the rest of the world we can only guess at.

What, however, we can do to protect ourselves should be far more obvious.

We need to wake up and incarcerate Obama for treason. If we don’t recognize who is is by now, we deserve our fate.

Then we need to eliminate all Saudi funded programs. They are not in our interest and they are not benign.

Somewhere during this process we will find out what else we need to do.

Reading this stuff or hearing it on the news is like watching a movie or program where the *heroes* constantly flub up and only make matters worse.

Only this is real and the *heroes* are enabling the beast by providing money, weapons and essentially…victims too. Victims in the countries where the terrorists are killing, raping, kidnapping, and draining all life from the land and people and victims in the countries where the *refugees*…really invaders are being allowed in and given free reign to rape and steal and will be murdering citizens like they were doing in Syria and Iraq and Africa, etc.

The beast of islam…its supporters, its enablers…worse than anyone could ever imagine…being given power to do as it will.

“…Saudi Arabia, a strident opponent of Assad, has said he must be removed from power to eliminate the militant Islamic State. ..”

Madness. Next we’ll be hearing that the secular Kurdish militias have to be neutralised in order to get rid of the Islamic State.

Russian diplomacy will continue to build up steam because they recognise that religious fanaticism (Jihadi Supremacism) is the core factor at play. Further to the proposal to hold elections at a future date, it would be helpful for Mr Assad to give greater prominence and exposure to individuals outside of his family circle so that political and administrative experience can be developed and shared. While it is a fact that the Assad family has monopolised the reigns of power in the past it’s also true that Mr Assad was until relatively recently one of the most popular national leaders in the middle east.

To Matthieu Baudin- The sentence you quoted caught my eye too. In my opinion, removing Assad will only make IS stronger because they will conclude that their bullying paid off in Syria, so the next place they go might be Jordan, or Lebanon, or who knows where? Their stated goal is to conquer the world one nation at a time. And with the help of the US president and the coalition forces that seem to hang on the Saudis every word, they are giving it their all. What a sickeningly disgusting position the American and European citizens are in, thanks to their leaders.

When will the United States elect a politician who understands the JIHAD DOCTRINE?

The Syrian rebels all went from non-practicing Muslims to becoming FANATICAL JIHADISTS. Why? Because they are now PRACTICING TRUE ISLAM…which is JIHAD.

When will the American politicians get it?

The USA stood by as Turkey exterminated all of its Christians (2,500,000) in the early 1900’s.
Then we bombed Serbia’s military and its infrastructure with its war against the Kosovo Liberation Army. They were as barbaric as ISIS against the native Serbian Christians.
Backing Islamists in the Indonesian civil war.
Allowing Turkey to invade Cyprus and annexing almost half the island.
And of course allowing Saudi wealth to buy our foreign policy for almost a century.

It wasn’t only 50 moderates that could be found. There were two different programs; one by the CIA and the other by the pentagon. The pentagon “train and assist” program concentrated on solely fighting ISIS . There were 2 groups; one of 54 and the other of 75. That was an overt program. The CIa program was covert starting at least two years earlier and trained 10,000 moderate fighters to fight Assad. An example of these FSA fighters is the southern front. They are secular democratic civil society and human rights supporters. The revolution started as a reform movement from a police state under martial law for decades

This ill-conceived, wrong headed decision, pandering to the Saudis, will put the US in direct conflict with Russia and poses a real risk of war with Russia. The lunatics truly appear to be in charge of the US asylum. It is clear that ISIL (Da’sh) must be eliminated first. Assad can be dealt with later – but, be warned – every time the West has brought about regime change, what follows is ten times worse than what it replaces – when will somebody learn from past mistakes?

I defy anyone to explain this policy rationally. Particularly with the history that Robert points out. But as well as that, every week, it seems, an “Islamic group” declares itself to be allied to, or a part of, ISIS.
