On August 11 in Dallas, I delivered an hour-long talk as part of the North American Lutheran Church’s “Braaten/Benne Lectures in Theology.” The title of my presentation was “Muslim Persecution of Christian Martyrs: Past and Present.” Topics discussed include Islamic doctrine concerning Christianity; Islamic history as a manifestation of said Islamic doctrine; and, continuity — showing how the same things written in Islam’s core texts, and that have manifested throughout history, are still happening today all throughout the Islamic world.

If they are hoping that the sufis are more benign, they are sorely mistaken. Sufis believe in jihad as much if not more than any other muslim.

one of the garland attackers was named soofi which kind of points to some sufi influences in his upbringing

Raymond Ibrahim is as always right on and very informing when it comes to presenting solid historical and contemporary facts about how Christians have always been treated under Islamic rule.
I would have liked it if his lectures and writings about this subject were to be dispensed freely through mainstream media to the masses in the west, to have them at least, a little bit more enlightened, in face of the coming disaster.

After Obama perhaps. It would be great.

Thank you for your delivery at a Lutheran conference. I’ve been beating the drum here at home in a Lutheran setting and they just don’t want to hear it. I’ve called the Seattle office and asked why they were using ISNA material to teach about islam. Silence… I called the Chicago office too and they were less interested in my pointing out their as I see it, problem; they didn’t want to hear from me either. Our pastors are hiding from the topic. Sending these videos and articles is falling on the deaf and blind. But I keep sending them anyway!
So many pew occupiers are just gong to keep their heads down and go with what ever happens. That’s the answer I get over and over again.
Your comment about removing Bibles from churches hit home as our pastor quietly took out our 100+ year old Book and literally shelved in the back hall. When I saw it had been taken out I just went balistic. A retired missionary helped to locate it and that Bible made 3-4 round trips from the Pulpit to back hall over 3 weeks time. I finally realized the pastor wanted a lectionary for Readings. Well what about the whole Word? So I placed a book rest on the Altar for the big Bible and there it remains. But people didn’t even notice it was gone or moved! Now they can’t miss the Word; it’s facing them…Granted this is a PC progressive pastor and wife. She even said she had to PC a drama before using it. Confronted, they fain ignorance what PC means. Time to find another place to meet God…

Excellent lecture Raymond.
I wish you could do this in my church. We had a Pakistani Christian give us a lecture on Islam. Nice guy but he came across as a complete dhimmi who denied these happened and tried to justify all the news reports about the behaviour you’re talking about as isolated incidents by misunderstanders of true Islam.
When I brought up verses from sura 9 and asked for an explanation I was told I was misunderstanding Islam. No explanation about how I was misunderstanding Islam was offered.
Glad that I can get lectures like this online. I’m sure we will never see it in the MSM.

I guess the pope and his bishops are bracing themselves for another round of apologies…..
If they intend to apologize their way out of this willful denial, then, I guess they have got a score to settle with God.
I am a Catholic and it baffles me that the very people who say they are pastors seem not to be able to see, standing on the sanctuary of God, what I can see lying down on my bed.
Of course I would keep looking up to Jesus, the author and finisher of my faith.
