“Instead of directing their fight towards the enemies of the Ummah, and instead of directing their arrows towards the Jews and Christians, they choose to direct their arrows towards the chests of Muslims.” The Qur’an forbids Muslims to kill other Muslims (4:92), although death is mandated for heretics and apostates, and that’s the Islamic State’s justification for its actions. It contains no prohibition on killing Jews and Christians, and exhorts Muslims to fight and subjugate them (9:29).
“Al-Qaida: ISIS divides Muslims instead of targeting Jews and Christians,” Jerusalem Post, November 3, 2015:
Jihadi group’s statement appeals to ISIS members, especially those recruits who joined the group from abroad, and called on them to “recognize its [ISIS’s] deviance, repent and leave it.”
In response to a recent ISIS statement stating the illegitimacy of all other jihadi groups, al-Qaida in the Arabian Peninsula and al-Qaida in the Islamic Maghreb released a joint video statement on Monday denouncing the group that controls large swathes of Syria and Iraq, The Middle East Media Research Institute has reported.
In his statement rejecting other groups, ISIS Spokesman Abu Muhammad al-Adnani threatened to kill anyone who actively refused to accept its authority and threatened dissenters with a “head-splitting bullet or a sharp knife on [their] necks,” MEMRI reported.
In a video released on the two al-Qaida groups’ Twitter accounts, AQAP official Khaled Batarfi read a statement reiterating their rejection of Islamic State as the legitimate caliphate.
“We repeat what has already been mentioned by Sheikh Ayman Al-Zawahiri [al-Qaida’s leader] and others among the scholars and leaders of the Ummah [the Muslim nation]… We do not acknowledge this caliphate as legitimate, nor do we deem it legitimate to give it an oath of loyalty [bay’a], nor do we see it to be [based] on the noble Prophetic manhaj [methodology]. Rather, some of its authority (power) was gained by coercion, force, shedding blood and pronouncing takfir upon Muslims. Their authority was not gained through shoura [consultation] nor mutual consent,” the al-Qaida spokesman Batafari said.
The statement also criticizes ISIS for ignoring the Palestinian issue and argues that ISIS has not promoted unity among jihadi factions in light of the Russian and American campaigns in Syria and instead has chosen to declare war on fellow Muslims.
“Instead of directing their fight towards the enemies of the Ummah, and instead of directing their arrows towards the Jews and Christians, they choose to direct their arrows towards the chests of Muslims,” the joint al-Qaida statement charged.
The groups criticized ISIS for “sowing dispute among Muslims” which they said only serves the enemies of Islam.
“We seek to cooperate with, assist and advise every truthful Islamic group, among the Jihadi and non-Jihadi groups,” the statement declared.
“We are a group of construction, cooperation and solidarity. Our path is the path of waging jihad against the enemies of the Ummah and preaching not only to the Muslim masses but to all-mankind. The well-being and interest of the Ummah is our interest. The concerns and priorities of the Ummah are our concerns…”
The statement appeals to ISIS members, especially those recruits who joined the group from abroad, and called on them to “recognize its [ISIS’s] deviance, repent and leave it.”
“You have set out for the sake of Allah and to give victory to the religion of Allah. Some of you migrated from distant lands. Is it right then to ruin this [pure] resolution and intention by pronouncing takfir and shedding the blood of Muslims?!”…
Despite rivalries between the two Islamist organizations, former Egyptian doctor Zawahri suggested there was still room for cooperation when it came to combating the West.
“Despite the big mistakes (of Islamic State), if I were in Iraq or Syria I would cooperate with them in killing the crusaders and secularists and Shi’ites even though I don’t recognize the legitimacy of their state, because the matter is bigger than that,” he said.

Cunamarra says
Wow. Finally, a mainstream Islamic group countering the Caliphate from an Islamic scriptural premise. These are the “moderates” we’ve all been waiting for.
gravenimage says
Good point, Cunamarra.
What most Infidels don’t seem to understand is that few Muslims who oppose ISIS oppose them on *ideological* grounds. Mostly it boils down to one of two things: either they are Shia, like Iranians or Syrians loyal to Bashir Assad, who don’t like The Islamic State’s murdering them as “heretics; or they are rival Sunni Jihadists–like Al Qaida here–who believe in the Caliphate, but just want to be running it themselves.
But all of them–again, like Al Qaida here–believe in murdering Jews and Christians, and in imposing savage Shari’ah law.
Jack Diamond says
“some of its authority (power) was gained by coercion, force, shedding blood and pronouncing takfir upon Muslims. Their authority was not gained through shoura [consultation] nor mutual consent,” the al-Qaida spokesman Batafari said.”
The Caliph became ruler of the Islamic State by one of three methods: chosen by the elected decision makers (ex. Abu Bakr); appointed by the previous caliph (ex. Abu Bakr to al-Khataab); or “by means of force and prevailing over others. When a man becomes caliph by prevailing over the people by the sword, and he establishes his authority and takes full control, then it becomes obligatory to obey him and he becomes the leader of the Muslims. Examples of that include some of the Umayyad and ‘Abbasid caliphs, and those who came after them…this method is contrary to sharee’ah, because it is seized by force. But because great interests are served by having a ruler who rules the ummah, and because a great deal of mischief may result from chaos and loss of security in the land, the one who seizes authority by means of the sword should be obeyed if he seizes power by force but he rules in accordance with the laws of Allaah.
Shaykh Muhammad ibn Saalih al-‘Uthaymeen (may Allaah have mercy on him) said:
If a man rebels and seizes power, the people must obey him, even if he seizes power by force and without their consent, because he has seized power.”
http://islamqa.info/en/111836
So this objection has no particular merit in Islamic tradition. Caliphates are established by the last strong man left standing. Moreover, Islam from the very beginning has been profoundly cannibalistic, since the time of the “best of Muslims.” Muhammad himself ordered his men to burn down a rival mosque he was told were teaching their own version of Islam. A mosque of “mischief and infidelity to disunite the Believers.” Muslims have been burning rival mosques ever since, “rival” in the eye of the beholder of what is “genuine Islam.”
The first slaughters after Muhammad were against apostasy. The Ridda Wars. The Qur’an makes it clear that fitna, discord in the religion, is worse than killing. Just consider the fate of the Rightly Guided Caliphs, brutally murdered by other equally pious Muslims. What is more quintessential Islam than the story of Aisha (Muhammad’s wife), with two of her brothers-in-laws, Talha and Zubayr, out to avenge Caliph ‘Uthman’s murder? When she reaches al-Basrah, the rebel stronghold, her people kill (by beheading) six hundred of the suspected rebels who murdered Uthman. When it was all over ten thousand Muslims, including Talhah and Zubayr, lay dead in al-Basrah, equal in proportion from both sides. Aisha’s life is spared. This is the Islam of Islamic scripture. Dead Muslims. Dead infidels.
As to how the Islamic State has not otherwise followed Muhammad’s “methodology” is, understandably, not spelled out. Because it follows it meticulously. All we have here are rival gangs.
The endless obligatory war against non-Muslims to kill or conquer them is taken for granted, the ONLY point of contention is when Muslims kill other Muslims and pronounce takfir upon them and even that is a lesser matter than the former: “Despite the big mistakes (of Islamic State), if I were in Iraq or Syria I would cooperate with them in killing the crusaders and secularists and Shi’ites even though I don’t recognize the legitimacy of their state, because the matter is bigger than that.” –Zawahiri.

For those interested in the Islamic muck and mire, here is the ISIS refutation of the charge:
https://ansarukhilafah.wordpress.com/2015/07/15/are-the-islamic-state-khawarij/comment-page-1/
“Al-Adnānī, the official spokesman, said:
“The Islamic State doesn’t make permissible the blood of a muslim, rather we do not target nor kill anyone except the combatant kuffār, and every one of you knows this very well, even though we are accused of this in the western media. If we wanted to target civilians and innocents, then the roads (we are in control of) are full of them and the markets are crowded (with them) but we are the most careful in terms of protecting the Muslim blood. If you support us & help us in our fight against the crusaders with your tongue & limbs we will support you & protect you, however if you stand in the camp of our enemies against us then what are you waiting for from us (other than fighting you)?
For the Mushrikeen who do not fight against the Muslims, Islam has given them protection and security among the Muslims and Allah has ordered us to grant them protection so that they may hear the words of Allah. Islam wants any heart to be guided because it is the manhaj(methodology) of Mercy & guidance and not the manhaj of enemity & eradication, however we wage jihad with the sword to get rid of oppresive forces which stop the people from hearing the words of Allah and hence stop them from being guided and cause them to ultimately worship other than Allah. So whoever understands this well, would know that the Islamic state fights the combatant kāfir who is opressive and tries to stop the spread of this guidance.
Allah says in the Qur’an: “And if two factions among the believers should fight, then make settlement between the two. But if one of them oppresses the other, then fight against the one that oppresses until it returns to the ordinance of Allah . And if it returns, then make settlement between them in justice and act justly. Indeed, Allah loves those who act justly.” {Hujrat 9}
Notice in this ayah Allah ‘Azza Wa Jal calls the two factions that fight each other both believers and none of them are khāwārij.
(finally) “O Allah if this State is a State of the Khawārij then break its back, kill its leaders, forgo its banner and guide its soldiers to the truth. O Allah if this an Islamic State, ruling by Your Book and the Sunnah of Your Prophet, fighting Your enemies, then keep it firm, honour it and grant it victory, and establish it upon the earth, and make it as the Khilāfah upon the Way of Prophethood. So say Āmīn O Muslims. O Allah, deal with all of those who split the ranks of the Mujāhidīn, and who divided the word of the Muslims, pleased the disbelievers, enraged the believers and delayed the Jihad by many years.”
More than a little irony in Al Qaeda calling the Islamic State deviant, essentially khawarij, when that was the accusation leveled at them by Muslim opponents. Al Qaeda didn’t pronounce takfir on Muslim leaders they considered apostates? Who put out the fatwa on Sadat if it wasn’t the Blind Sheikh, bin Laden’s mentor?

Totalitarian ideologies experience power struggles all the time. Communism and Islam for example. Trotsky was murdered by Stalin on the same basis.

That’s us, the West.
So why are millions fleeing to the ‘enemy?

Such soothing words; one could almost forget that the same bastards dissolved the twin towers and brought terror to the hearts of civilised people the world over.
gravenimage says
These are not contradictions as pious Muslims see it, Matthieu. Muslims perform both Da’wa and violent Jihad against the “filthy Kuffar”, until we submit to Islam either as converts or as submissive dhimmis.
Alarmed Pig Farmer says
… until we submit to Islam either as converts or as submissive dhimmis.
You forgot the third option.
gravenimage says
I think it was implied, APF–Muslims are perfectly happy with just butchering us. Conversion or submission is only for the survivors.
Of course, this is only the case if Muslims *prevail*–not if our defense does.
Jack Holan says
Confine all these freaks and there are others issuing Fatwas from S.Arabia, Iran, England,Pakistan and so on to an closed area. Give them weapons. Let them kill each other, they have been doing so for 1400 years. Let any Muslims wishing to live peacefully with the rest of us do so. Sounds simple but it isn’t. They have a plan, we don’t and they are carrying their plan out.

Does Abu Bakr Baghdadi need a father to give him advice?
خَليفة says
Bring it to mind a funny point.
Muhammed was a bastard – his father died before he was born ( some say 4 years before-another story)
So, the epitome of a good Muslim is Muhammed, an illiterate bastard with 13 wives – how can any Muslim today who can read and knows his father, and can only have 4 wives ever compare to Muhammed when they srsrt out with 3 strikes.

IS does more than divide Islam. It shows the rest of us what Islam is all about.

IS is the true face of Islam, as a caller, who supported IS
claimed on LBC radio today.
He’s right.
The Saudis, who quietly support IS, are utterly corrupt.
If the Islamic State is permitted to harden up its power, we
will be forced to deal with it just as we do with the very
similar Saudis.
There is an alternative, but I don’t think the West under
current leadership is up to it.
Alarmed Pig Farmer says
This is an argument over priorities. ISIS sez that having a Caliphate is the top priority, Al Qaeda sees that as mass murdering Jews. Both have strong arguments. Plus now there’s a third leg in the race, the Persians who recently got the green light for nukes, ICBMs and $150 billion. There’s an argument going on among the hairy Moslem elite dudes wearing geeky headgear. The finish line is a WMD delivered onto Israel, will it come from our negotiating partners to the south of Israel or from our faux enemies to its north?
Meanwhile, the Moslems, frustrated and wating to take some kind of action, let off steam by random stabbings of Jews in Jerusalem, Tel Aviv and in various small towns.

Unfortunately Iranians are no longer Persians since their submission Saudi Arabian Muslim hoards on camel back. Iranians reaffirmed their slavish surrender to the beast of Islam in 1979.
Alarmed Pig Farmer says
They’re still Persians. They still believe to a man that Arabs are a dirty and stupid race, and hold their noses when they meet with their allies from the Levant.
mahghan says
So why do they still support Islam and are among the most fanatic of Muslims? They had their own religions before the invader Arabs entered their lives, so why don’t they revert to those. It’s just lazy calling Arabs names. Reject Islam and they would be on the right track. But will they? No! So they should just shut up.

I find it funny that the criticism of daesh is that they got the sequence wrong.
First kill the pagans.
Then Jews.
Then Christians.
THEN the Mohamedans.
Their only fault is that they are doing it out of order.
Alarmed Pig Farmer says
Aren’t all the pagans Moslems now? Now, the Yazidis are a special case, but Islamic Law holds that a good Moslem may not kill sex-slaves, that would be murder and a terrible waste of resources, especially white women resources.
