“Chilling suicide note found on the body of Palestinian woman intent on stabbing Israeli security guard when she was gunned down just hours after identical West Bank knife attack,” by Corey Charlton, MailOnline, 9 November 2015:
Israeli security officers have discovered a suicide note on the body of a Palestinian woman shot dead after she refused to drop a knife she was wielding at a checkpoint in the West Bank.
The woman approached the crossing waving the knife but was gunned down after police fired off a warning shot and told her to stop.
It comes just hours after CCTV cameras captured the chilling moment a woman attempted to stab a security guard at a West Bank settlement, in a near identical incident.
The note reportedly stated she was carrying out the suicide attack ‘to defend the homeland and the youth’
Today guards fired warning shots after the woman was seen approaching a checkpoint near the city of Qalqilya with the weapon. She was shot after refusing to stop, the Israeli defence ministry said.
Two letters found in her bag indicated plans for a suicide attack and Palestinian police identified her as Rasha Uweisseh, 23, from Qalqilya.
According to The Jersusalem Post, the letter read: ‘I don’t know what will happen to me in the end. I am doing this with a clear head. To defend the homeland and the youth.
‘I cannot stand what I am seeing and I cannot suffer anymore.
‘To my parents and siblings forgive me for what I am going to do. I love you. Especially my fiancee. I am sorry for whatever will happen to me and that this is the way that I am ending.’
The incident is the latest in a weeks-long wave of violence in Israel and the West Bank that has also spread to the Gaza Strip.
Yesterday six Israelis were wounded in three separate attacks by Palestinians in the West Bank….
