Exposing the role that Islamic jihad theology and ideology play in the modern global conflicts

CNN: Parisians shaken because this time not Jews, but “just people” targeted

Nov 24, 2015 1:07 am By Robert Spencer

How monstrous will the mainstream media get before the whole thing breaks apart? No telling. But this indicates that it is certainly descending to the murky depths already.

CNN Martin Savidge

“CNN Reporter: Parisians Shaken Because This Time It Wasn’t Just Jews Targeted, ‘This Was Just People,’” by Jamie Weinstein, Daily Caller, November 24, 2015:

A CNN reporter says that what really has shaken the people of Paris in the aftermath of the Nov. 13 terror attacks is that this time those killed by Islamist terrorists weren’t just Jews or provocative cartoonists.

Talking to CNN host Don Lemon Monday night, reporter Martin Savidge tried to convey why the people of Paris view the Nov. 13 terror attacks differently than last January’s Islamist terror attacks in Paris that targeted French cartoonists and Jews in a kosher grocery store.

“I think what really has shaken the people of Paris, they’ve grown accustom to the idea that of course the city is a target,” Savidge said from on the ground in the city of lights. “But this particular assault, aside from the sheer numbers of people that were killed or wounded, it was the neighborhoods that were struck. It was the fact that this time no one was spared. It wasn’t that a person was picked out because of their faith. It wasn’t because a person was picked out because of their jobs such as Charlie Hebdo. This was just people — any kind of person. And that has really shaken the people of Paris. This time you could not explain it away as somebody else’s threat.”…

The reporter (and, apparently, many Parisians) are missing the point — French Jews and Christians, Buddhists, Hindus, Atheists, etc. are all “infidels,” according to the fascist, supremacist ideology of “Submission.” While it is true that Mohammadans reserve special enmity for Jews, followers of other faiths are also marked for extermination or subjugation under the allegedly Divine mandates imposed upon Mohammedans by the vile, hate-filled tome that gives Mohammedan jackboots their genocidal marching orders, the Koran.

The followers of the religion of sword hate us unbelievers all.
They would willingly kill us all for their God’s sake. No doubt!
But they will assert different excuses every time. And they would attack infidels by different names. If ýou destroy Al-Qaeda, there will be ISIS. If you eliminate ISIS, there would be another Islamic extremist group. Remember that it all started with the Islamic revolution in Iran. Shiites triggered this kind of extremism and Sunnies followed their lead, although they hate each other.
All Muslims believe in their own factions and will do anything to raise the flag of their own Islam all over the world.
Doesn’t really matter who or what you are; they won’t tolerate you.
Don’t let the business oriented dealers sell the very advanced and sophisticated technologies to them. That’s the other reason they dare to attack us. They have bought all the science and technology they need from profit seekers.

The French people are not awakened to the fact that Islamic jihad views all non-Muslims as infidels who are to be converted, made to submit to Islam, or killed. It appears that the French are willing to fight Islamic jihad as opposed to the gutless Spanish who cowered and cried after the jihad attack on their trains.

It is a sad day for America when the Socialist French President has bigger balls than our American Socialist President.

Europe’s passive attitude to Christianity has made it vulnerable to Islamization by the refugees. A huge opportunity for spreading the peaceful Gospel of Christ is now being lost. Europeans will pay a heavy price for ignoring Christianity and opening their borders to Islamists. The Nov. 13 th attack is likely to be just a tip of the iceberg.

Parisians and most journalists did not read the ISIS manifesto carefully: ISIS said they targeted the CARRIERS OF THE CROSS and PROSTITUTION.

Translation: they targeted the leaders of Christian countries and venues where MEN AND WOMEN meet UNCHAPERONED with women UNVEILED! That’s what ISIS and most traditional Muslims think of as ‘prostitution’.

First the journalists were targeted in Paris, then Jews were targeted. Thirdly the Christian leadership. Fourthly, FREE WESTERN FEMINIST WOMEN WERE TARGETED BY ISIS.

Politicians and WOMEN need to wake up and realize they are targets of MUSLIMS.

    • gravenimage says

This is all true, Mortimer–and the “CARRIERS OF THE CROSS” are not just our leaders, but *every* citizen in a Christian (or “post Christian”) nation, whether they are specifically practicing Christian or not.

And you are also right about the “PROSTITUTION”–any mingling of the sexes, no matter how platonic, is so deemed by these pious butchers. Those dining in rough proximity to each other at Cafe Cambodge or watching the soccer game were just as “guilty” as those dancing together at the Eagles of Death Metal show.

      God, I hate Islam.

What they’re at least half-saying is “Whilever they’re hitting Jews, then it doesn’t concern me”. This is hideous. Don’t they ever think that anyone who isn’t a Sunni Muslim is a target of these. And if you’re not seen as a devout enough Sunni Muslim, you might still get targeted. People weren’t bothered when it was happening to Israel – the usual “cycle of violence” claptrap was trotted out to ‘explain’ things and berate Israel. But now it has come home to Europe, and they’ve suddenly discovered that Paris isn’t in Israel, the shoe is on the other foot, and a steep learning curve lies ahead. What the Israelis have learned over more than 50 years, we’ve suddenly got to learn inside the next 12 or 18 months.

–Abu Muhammad al-Adnani ash-Shami, the Islamic State

As for their plans for America:

“Sarkhasi said, quoting Muhammad ibn al-Hasan in his “The Explanation of the Major Hadith” #4111/1:
He said: “There is nothing wrong for Muslims to burn the infidels fortresses with fire, or to drown them with water and poison them and cut off their water, and to make their water bitter by pouring blood and menstrual blood and poison until they spoil it for them because we were ordered to belittle them and to break their unity”

“The advantage of biological weapons is that they do not cost a lot of money, while the human casualties can be huge,”

“And so like if America at this time; the issue to hit with these weapons [mass destruction] is permissible without mentioning the evidence of the second section the following (evidence of general legality); because Allah Almighty says “to punish in similar fashion as you were afflicted”, and the Almighty says “Attack who attacks you in similar ways as you were attacked,” and the Almighty says “Pay evil with evil,” so the observer sees American aggression on Muslims and their lands during the past decades concludes the permission to use aggression with reciprocity only as has been collected by some of the brothers the number of dead from amongst the Muslims with their weapons of direct and indirect, methods to bring the number close to ten million. And as for the lands that [America] burned with their bombs and their explosives and rockets not one can enumerate except Allah, and whatever else happened in Afghanistan and Iraq, and this is what caused the wars on many of the Muslims causing homelessness. So if bomb is launched at them that will kill ten million of them, and it will burn their land as much as they burned the Muslim lands this is therefore permissible without the need to mention any other evidence, but other evidence may be needed if we are to perish of them more than this number!”

It would be flashed around the world across the airwaves and all the news media would be clucking their tongues “shame on you”. We’d never hear the end of it. LIBERALS are disgusting. They pride themselves (falsely) for their warm-hearts and open arms to people who want to kill them because they are too stupid to realize to terrorists they are just someone another body to blow up or another head to sever. It’s like Hussein Obama so focused on rescuing members of his Islamic religion of peace while he ignores Christians who are being slaughtered since, after all, as he has reminded us CHRISTIANS NEED TO GET OFF THEIR HIGH HORSE. What a disgusting display of arrogant hubris and hateful hearts. I NEVER EVER believed so many people, including members of my country would have such cold savage hearts. I never said the french wanted moslems to kill the jews. For the french it would be bad manners to say something like that. Plus, their beloved Napoleon, gave the jews equal rights. French anti-semitism is different from the polish or russian one. There were no pogroms in France. European culture and humanism seats deeper in french society. It is more like – would be nice to get rid of those pesky jews. Word “killing” would not be used.
I do blame french more then moslems. After all, moslems honestly state their intention to islamize Europe. French voted Hollande despite his open pro-islamic position. Do I hate french people? For me it is like to hate someone, who is dying from cancer. Do I feel sorry for them? No. It is their choice and having only one grandma being french, I do not feel french enough to be part of their future, though I cannot help to feel part of their past. In my young days it was all french, the culture, the language, the history. I do feel pain, knowing that not only those great achievements will never be repeated, but the past ones will go into dust.

France has a history of splitting their nation in various ways. Blood seems to flow freely in France whether it is Royals at the guillotine or Protestants on St Bartholomew’s Day. They would be better served to close the borders and to keep them closed. Jews, Conservatives, Christians and Catholics will need each other for a few years to avoid their elimination . . . not necessarily with the surgical blade of the guillotine.

What is it about the Jews? They’re from a different belief system, but not that different. In fact, Judaism is the source of freedom as it is understood in the West. And if they’ve committed some unspoken crime against modern civilization, what is it? Meanwhile, the Moslems are from a different belief system, one that not only is very different, it openly seeks to destroy our way of life. Yet there was open guilt about a kid who did a project that looked like a bomb, but there is uniform reticence when it comes to Moslem violence, and, more importantly, the pervasive threat of it: terror. Brussels, the Hijrah, Rotherham, Malmo, Sweden facing collapse, rape of white women by “migrant” Moslems endemic is central Europe.

Silence. Lots of words are being spoken, at a frenetic pace, but always the same silence around the tough question, the one nobody is willing to ask. So there’s a noisy silence, one that always misdirects.

I think this story is in error, to put the sentiments, that this attack was different because it targeted “ordinary people”, into the mouths of Christian and secular Frenchmen and women. I have seen more-or-less this quote attributed specifically to French Muslims. I think, in the end, that it’s a good thing.

In fact, the meme “Je Suis Charlie” originated in France after the January attacks, and was nowhere more popular than in France – there were mass marches and demonstrations everywhere. Ordinary French people were outraged at the direct attack on freedom of expression. It was understood that the HyperChacher Market was targeted because Takfiris especially hate Jews, and French leaders reached out to reassure French Jews that they are fully included in the Republic, and to improve their security in concrete ways.

The stories I have seen this week quote French Muslims, saying that they held back from the “Je Suis Charlie” phenomenon because they felt that the magazine staff provoked the attack. They don’t mention the HyperCacher attack. Now, say these lukewarm, partly-secularized, French-born, betwixt-and-between Muslims, now that the Daesh terrorists have targeted stadiums full of “ordinary” people *just like them*, now they are ready to stand againt the terrorists.

There are disturbing elements to this story. It reinforces that many “ordinary” French Muslims have covertly supported Daesh terrorists. It reinforces that many “ordinary” French Muslims think Jews deserve whatever punishment we receive. But. If the current wave of mass terror attacks drives a wedge between luke-warm western Muslims and Daesh fanatics, that will be a good thing for everyone.

Daesh leadership have mandated the latest terror attacks to ‘eliminate the grey areas’ for lukewarm western Muslims, to provoke western societies to attack our Muslim minorities, and drive them into the arms of their new Caliph. This is the old Maoist tactic of “heightening the contradictions”, based on the Leninist line that, “The worse things are, the better they are (for us).”

In order to pursue this line, to deliberately make the conditions of life dramatically worse for everyone, cadre must have a sublime faith in their revolution, that when a division is forced and the lines are drawn, the outcome will favor their side and they will win. That has not always been true.

I have a sublime faith that the Daesh leadership are wrong about this outcome, as about so many things. I see from this story that their mass attacks on the west as a whole are forcing western Muslim minorities into the arms of – the state! The police! Their secular and Christian neighbors! Maybe even, some day, the Jews? It could happen.

      ………………………….

Unfortunately, ElderlyZionist, CNN commentator Martin Savidge has attributed such views to “the people of Paris”, not to Muslims in Paris.

I certainly don’t believe that all French people feel this way–but fear that all too many do.

      Maybe you’re right, ElderlyZionist.

I once knew a Sa’udi grad student in the American Midwest. He expressed surprise that Jews, including Israelis he’d met, were decent people, and was as shocked and horrified by 9/11 as anyone else.

Further, Christian missions have observed an openness to the Gospel among Muslims that has frankly caught everyone flatfooted. Could it be that people are seeing what is being done in the name of Islam–and the horrifying people are the folks who are winning the exegetical battle–and recoiling in horror? I do not see a light at the end of the tunnel yet, but I’m very confident that the tunnel will sooner or later end.

Yeah right. An “Elderly Zionist”, yeah right. Only “takfiris” hate Jews, yeah right. “Lukewarm” French Muslims, now that terrorists have targeted stadiums of ‘ordinary people like them’ (huh?) are ready to stand against the terrorists. Yeah right. That’s why tens of thousands of Muslims in France have taken to the streets to protest the attack on Paris in solidarity with the murdered kuffar. Oh wait. That hasn’t happened? Have you noticed how the “takfiris” move freely within the European Muslim communities?

Jack, ElderlyZionist has posted here for many years, and is a staunch anti-Jihadist. He has questioned whether we should read this story as being indicative of French antisemitism (I happen to disagree with his conclusions somewhat here) but he was *not* writing apologia for vicious Muslims in France at all.

Yes, that’s what Martin Savidge said. I think he’s distorting the truth, for whatever reason. I write to advise that I have seen more or less his words, but quoted directly from French Muslims.

Yes, I’m defending French Christians against accusations of anti-semitism and indifference. Let’s not allow some talking head on CNN to provoke baseless quarrels among friends. Has everyone already forgotten ‘Je Suis Charlie’? It’s only been a year. Governments across Europe have stationed armed guards to protect synagogues and Jewish schools, but they can’t protect every Jew walking down every street. If it’s true that Jews have no future in Europe, I think that is mostly not the fault of their Christian neighbors. Not in this generation.

Finally, The true version of this story may show that Daesh’s current tactic of mass terror attacks may be costing them support among European Muslims. If that’s true, it’s a good thing.

Dear Jack of Diamonds. I took ElderlyZionist as my nick years ago, after a long, heated exchange with a Pakistani Muslim on some long-ago message board. I must admit, his English was better than my Urdu, but it was pretty shaky. He kept quoting from “The Book of the Elderly Zionists”, evidently a major world history text at the madrassa where he was educated.

It took a while, but I finally caught on that he was citing the “Protocols of the Elders of Zion”. Once I understood him, I was so charmed by his Engrish that I took the title for my own. ElderlyZionist, at your service.

Let’s not quarrel. We agree on so much.

Well, Jews are fleeing from France to Israel at a rate of around circa 12-14,000 a year.
What a brain drain. All that intellectual input going down the drain for them. Let them see what becomes of France without jews.

    The CNN reporter says:

It wasn’t that a person was picked out because of their faith. It wasn’t because a person was picked out because of their jobs such as Charlie Hebdo. This was just people — any kind of person. And that has really shaken the people of Paris. This time you could not explain it away as somebody else’s threat.”…

I’m not sure this quote is actually anti-Jewish. Notice that the reporter used the words: “explain it away.” Because of those key words, I doubt one can know whether he was thinking something immoral and stupid or something moral and accurate.

If the reporter was being immoral and stupid, then he meant something like this: “In the past terror was only against Jews and cartoonists, so it wasn’t my concern or the concern of people in general, but the Paris attacks were against everyone, and so that is the concern of people in general.”

If the reporter was being moral and accurate, he meant something like this: “In the past, some Parisians deluded themselves about terror — “explained it away” — by telling themselves it was only against particular groups, not against Parisians in general — but the Paris attacks destroyed that delusion and revealed that jihad terror was always against everyone.”

If the evidence is ambiguous as to the intent of a statement, the particular individual who made the statement should be assumed innocent of bad intent until he is proved guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.

Someone might say that we should be aggressive against the Left in the information warfare battle — and perhaps there are some advantages to aggressive argument that goes on the attack even when the evidence is ambiguous — but there is a downside to aggressive information warfare — we may create unnecessary additional divisions with the left at a time when any unnecessary divisions are a luxury a democratic society cannot afford, because such divisions make us vulnerable to the true enemy, the totalitarian jihad of Islam.

Of course the Jewish people aren’t the only targets of the vicious ,malice dangerous and homicidal militant jihadists. For the jihadists in their violent, deadly Islamic quest for the advancement their tyrannical death cult of a religion which is Islam. have an Islamic saying about the jihad that comes from the Middle. It’s “First comes Saturday, then comes Sunday . Which means ” that “We ,the jihadist Muslims, first go after and kill the Jews and then after that we go after the Christians and kill them.

If French settlers would quit occupying stolen Islamic land in Paris, convert to Islam, and follow sharia law, none of this would have to happen.

In a way he’s perhaps (clumsily) waking up to what Martin Niemöller told the world about the Nazis:

First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Socialist.

Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Trade Unionist.

Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Jew.

Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.
