Global Jihad? Never Heard of It: Berkeley’s Bazian Still Hyping ‘Islamophobia’

Nov 25, 2015 1:22 pm By Cinnamon Stillwell

HatemBazian

With global jihad in its ascendancy, UC Berkeley’s Hatem Bazian delivered a lecture at a private event in Dearborn, Michigan last Friday titled, “Islamaphobia: Muslim in the Public Square.” Given the multiple ISIS attacks on Paris only a week earlier and the fact that French and Belgian authorities continue to hunt down the accomplices, the timing was tone-deaf, to say the least.

As director of UC Berkeley’s Islamophobia Research & Documentation Project, Bazian displayed the usual fear-mongering, complete with divisive, politicized rhetoric. He blamed the alleged rise of “Islamophobia” in America–a claim that FBI hate crime statistics for 2014 continue to contradict–on “a massive demographic change . . . that has made individuals still living in the 1950s uncomfortable” and to “shrinking middle class” induced “resentment.”

Perhaps what’s fueling resentment, if indeed it exists, are Middle East studies academics like Bazian who insist on assigning victimhood to Muslim-Americans and villainy to the West, while accusing anyone who encourages introspection and reform within Islam of being a bigot.

Ms. Stillwell is WAAAYYY TO KIND when she calls this IQ-challenged moron an “academic” — but I assume that is a term that basically indicates he is attached to one of the 21st Century’s Leftist universities.

Remember that UC President Janet Napolitano, who now occupies a plush office in Berkeley, warned years ago that disgruntled vets presented a greater threat than Moslems. So much has happened since, all involving Moslems as perpetrators, and no veterans.

If this fellow is a ‘director’ in charge of a university project at a famous US university, is ‘intellectually challenged’
what does that say about the famous university? Don’t reply I know the answer.
In fact I think that being intellectually challenged is an integral part of being Muslim.
Muslims set themselves apart and express disapproval for our way of life and our institutions
wishing to live under sharia law etc. and then they are surprised and resentful that we in turn are
suspicious and disapproving of them and their life style. You know litlle things in their beloved culture like FGM, ‘honour’ killing and wife beating.

The first country to recognize the USA was Morocco – at least that’s what it says online. So, one reaps what one sows – islamic nation recognizes legitamacy of USA and now USA becoming izlamic – perpetual war/crime just like today’s third world, the leading member of which is India. (non-aligned)

Of course we could make a case that actually USA is very ethical (dharmic) at least in theory as at least one of the founding fathers of America studied the venerable Bhagavad Gita (out of MahaBharat – history of greater historical Aryavarta/india/Bharat.)

Only meditation can bring about total beauty and peace in all the worlds and all the lands. Frankly we need a new breed of humanity that is free from hatred, anger and jealousy. A civilization rooted in absolute TRUTH.

This factoid is often trotted out, but it is highly misleading. This was part of the United States’s *fight* against the Jihadist Barbary Pirates–it had *absolutely nothing* to do with Muslims feeling some sort of affinity with American values.

And we don’t need a “new breed of humanity”–most of humanity is just fine. The problem is evil creeds–foremost among them vicious Islam.

Actually, gravenimage, I’ve never even remotely understood this claim, and not because I detest Islam, though I most certainly do, but because it should be crystal clear that the first country to recognize the independent United States of America was Great Britain, which signed a very generous peace treaty with its victors in 1783 with the Treaty of Paris, which gave control to the new USA westwards to the Mississippi and whose northern boundaries with the Albion Empire were worked out with such agreements as the Convention of 1818, the Webster-Ashburton Treaty of 1842 and the Oregon Treaty of 1846.

Really, where and how did this nonsense even begin that some Mo polity was the first to recognize the USA? Seems to me just more Muzzies (and perhaps some modern lefties too) have engaged in rewriting the historical record, which Muzzies have been wont to do since the 7th century. Please enlighten me here if you think I’ve missed something. BTW, a Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours.

Again, this is slightly off topic, and possibly old news, but I think it illustrates a very important point.

I found out about an incident that happened in Australia on Jan 1, 1915 while playing a computer game mod for Battlefield 1942, called Battlefield 1918. The game had a ‘map’ for something called “Broken Hill,” where Australian troopers and troops of the Ottoman Empire were going at it. I was curious about what the battle of Broken Hill was because I’d never heard of it before and I know some history. So I searched with google and found the following:

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Broken_Hill

What it turned out to be was what we today would call a terrorist incident. Only it occurred on January 1, 1915 near Broken Hill, New South Wales, Australia, and a way long time before there was an Israel for Muslims to complain about.

“The attackers were both former camel-drivers working at Broken Hill. They were Badsha Mahommed Gool,an ice-cream vendor, and Mullah Abdullah a local imam and halal butcher.” [the famous unpeaceful imam] … “Though politically and religiously motivated, the men were not members of any sanctioned armed force” [the famous Muslim terrorist] …”Gool’s ice-cream cart was well known in town and was used to transport the men to the attack site [the famous Muslim ‘hiding in plain sight’] . …
They also fashioned a home-made Ottoman flag which they flew.[yes, not a black flag this one time] …Several days before the killings Mullah Adbullah was convicted by Police Court for slaughtering sheep on premises not licensed for slaughter. It was not his first offence. [the famous Muslim contempt for non-Muslim law] … In addition, Abdullah had ceased wearing his turban years before, “since the day some larrikin [Australian English word for a young rowdy] threw stones at me, and I did not like it” [The famous Moslem accumulation of grudges.]

“Each New Year’s Day the local lodge of the Manchester Unity Order of Oddfellows held a picnic at Silverton. The train from Broken Hill to Silverton was crowded with 1200 picnickers on 40 open ore trucks. Three kilometres out of town, Gool and Abdullah positioned themselves on an embankment
located about 30 metres from the tracks. As the train passed they opened fire with two rifles, discharging 20 to 30 shots.”

“The picnickers initially thought that the shots were being discharged in honour of the train’s passing, but once their companions started falling, the reality sank in. Alma Cowie, aged 17 died instantly. William John Shaw, a foreman in the Sanitary Department, was killed on the train and his
daughter Lucy Shaw was injured. Six other people on the train were injured: Mary Kavanagh, George Stokes, Thomas Campbell, Alma Crocker, Rose Crabb and Constable Robert Mills.”

“The railway guard on the train was “Tiger” Dick (Eric Edward) Nyholm, … also of Broken Hill. Nyholm was a renowned marksman and proved instrumental in protecting the train’s passengers from further injury.” [Funny how these kind of attacks always end quickly when a trained marksman happens to be
    around.]

“Gool and Mullah Abdullah made their way from the train towards the West Camel camp where they lived. On the way they killed Alfred E. Millard who had taken shelter in his hut.”

“The attackers left notes connecting their actions to the hostilities between the Ottoman and British Empires, which had been officially declared in October 1914. Believing he would be killed, Gool Mahomed left a letter in his waist-belt which stated that he was a subject of the Ottoman Sultan and that, >>> “I must kill you and give my life for my faith, Allāhu Akbar.” <<>> obedience to the order of the Sultan,<<< "but owing to my grudge against Chief Sanitary Inspector Brosnan it was my intention to kill him first." [Islam gives free reign the the worst urges of its followers.]

"The Australian government refused requests to fund a commemoration of the event for its 100th anniversary." [Can you guess why?]
"A ceremony marking the centenary of the massacre was held at Broken Hill railway station on 1 January 2015" [At least there was that.]

The key point of this incident, occurring as it did in 1915, is that it happened before the US ever recognized modern Israel and before US troops were ever in the Middle East, and yet is is undeniably a terrorist attack inspired by the Koran and executed by INDIAN Muslims who were obeying an OTTOMAN Turkish Sultan.

All these complaints about US troops in their lands, Islamophobia, and colonialism are just so much BS to distract attention from the fact that acts like these are commanded by the Koran. It was in the Koran. It is in the Koran. And it always will be in the Koran. Any time, any where. The fact is, they NEED a little colonialism because that's the only way they can be prevented from doing what's in the Koran. The British, after all, finally did crush the Mahdi army that had killed Gordon in Khartom (along with 10,000 others).

The latest attack in Paris killed 130 people. It was conducted by (last count I saw) only 8 Muslims. That means roughly that one Muslim killed 16 people. And that was only due to the limitations of modern technology. Technology advances. Do we have to wait until technological advances make it possible for one Muslim anywhere in the world to kill a heart-breakingly large number of people because the Koran tells him to?

Another little side note about the power of Muslim intimidation: I've also enjoyed playing the computer wargame, Medieval Total War. In that game, you have cities all over Europe and in the Middle East that can be conquered by various factions in the game, some of them Christian and European, and others
Muslim. Rome is on that map, owned by a faction called 'the Papacy.' Any faction can conquer it, sack it, and loot it to its heart's content, any number of times. But one city is noticeably absent from the map: Mecca. You have to actually search on the internet to find a special mod that adds Mecca to the map. The mod makers are braver people than the people who originally created Medieval Total War.

While I see your point I believe that Mortimer is correct.

NOTE if one reads carefully between the lines PrayerWarrior sounds more like a bragging carpet kissing PrayerWarrior.
Also note the coy reference to “colonialism”

And note the all too typical Muzzie/Leftist mantra that disparages the ancient lands of Israel
“January 1, 1915 near Broken Hill, New South Wales, Australia, — and a way long time before there was an Israel”

Mortimer, I didn’t think PrayerWarrior’s post was at all off topic.

By describing what happened at Broken Hill, he/she points out very lucidly what nonsense all the claims of the jihadists are; that if only there had been no colonialism, no State of Israel, and all the rest of their claptrap, there would be no jihad against the West.

As PrayerWarrior emphasises, all their excuses are hot air. It’s all in the koran, and always will be.

I found PrayerWarrior’s post most interesting, *and* relevant. Isn’t this very similar to what Robert does, every day ? Pointing out that whatever the grievance du jour, jihad is mandated by the koran, and the life of mohammed, *not* any ‘grievances’, which are just attempts to obfuscate islam’s real raison d’etre.

I do not say “Bibi’ on a moments notice, nor do I currently know any Israelis.
However, thirty six years ago, while attending college in Florida 1979 I met a student who grew up in Israel. He emphatically reminded me that Israel was a nation long before the US, not in 1948 as commonly assumed by some in the US. I learned that lesson well.

Rather than be sarcastic with me, you of all people should understand the significance of this point or at least relearn it well.

“I do not say “Bibi” on a moments notice, nor do I currently know any Israelis.””

What on earth are you drivelling about, now ?

In your self-appointed role as arbiter/hall monitor/nanny/troll-finder general, you opined that PrayerWarrior was a muslim troll because he/she said; ” a way long time before there was an Israel”.

However, you neglected to note, (purposely ? I know you’re desperate for some attention, or is it just that reading comprehension problem, again ?) that the quote in *full* reads “… before there was an Israel for *muslims to complain about* (my emphasis:M10).

Consequently, it was clear to me that PrayerWarrior was referring to the **official creation of the State of Israel in 1948**, since it is that official creation and **recognition* internationally, that muslims hate and fear so much.

Get it ? No, probably not …

Yes of course I am referring to 1948, that is what I wrote.
That is precisely my point. That is the date that Muslims love to hate.
Please ask an Israeli to explain to you how Muslims try to invalidate Israel by claiming Israel began in 1948.

Despite what Palestinian Muslims claim, 1915 was not “a way long time before there was an Israel.”

        • Mirren10 says

          Nov 26, 2015 at 8:34 pm

          Oh, for God’s sake.

I don’t know why I’m bothering, since your wilful non-comprehension is so blatant, as is your economy with the truth.

You arrogantly asserted PrayerWarrior was a muslim troll, because of the reference “a way long time before there was an Israel”. ( and I again note you have deliberately left
          out the salient part).

Your only reference to 1948 was in your insolent reply to me.

I am quite well aware, as are the majority of people here, and probably including PrayerWarrior, that there has always been a Jewish presence in the lands of the Palestine Mandate, which became **officially and internationally recignised** as the **State** of Israel in 1948.

          Done here.

I think The Battle of Broken Hill, which I had never heard of until your post, is actually very on topic if the topic is what motivates Muslims to commit acts of what seem to us to be senseless acts of violence. Before the neologism ‘Islamophobia’ I suspect that event causes quite a bit of it, all justified.

Putting modern Islamic actions into historical context is a great failure of so-called academics well (yet poorly) represented by Bazian. Moreover, Bazian is in the business of justifying Muslim violence, well deconstructed by your post.

We will all end up like the Yezidis – also spelled and pronounced Ezidi I think. If we are not careful we will end up slaves and our daughters and sisters will not be safe. Nor will our men escape the barbarism of isis jihad.

Anyone sympathetic to the ideals of Sivananda, Prabhupad Guru Nanak etc please do something. Now is not the time for silence. Ancestral homelands of Europeans and Indo-Europeans are being ruined! Someone do something! If Europe falls to Islam, so too will India and eventually China – we will then enter a new Black age – God will punish us for not opposing evil. These devils start life out by torturing infants (circumcision) and the rest of their life is filled with daily torture of themselves and others.

Learn from the history of jihad in India – even China has had to fight jihad. Once and for all we must uproot the evil and torture that is political Izlam.

Broken Hill was one of the very earliest Jihad attacks in the West–I doubt it was recognized as such at the time.

There have been many since that likewise were not recognized for what they were by most people–the attack on the Achille Lauro and the first World Trade Center bombing in 1993 among them.

Of course, if Taqiyya artists like Hatem Bazian have their way, Westerners won’t recognize what Jihad really is until it is too late. Sites like Jihad Watch hope to counter this.

garegin, Hatem Bazian is “Palestinian”–he was born in Nablus.

The Bazians I’ve found seem to have a variety of first names–some that sound specifically Christian, and many others that sound Muslim.

Here’s more from Cinnamon Stillwell–this time, over at Frontpage Magazine–on the appalling Hatem Bazian on the horrific Paris attacks back in January:

Hatem Bazian, director of the apologetic Islamophobia Research & Documentation Project at the University of California, Berkeley, maintained that the attack “has nothing to do with Islam in general” and presented a laundry list of “racism, discrimination, bigotry, Islamophobia, [and] anti-Semitism” as the culprits. Claiming that, “it is utterly wrong to assign blame to Islam of old and assert that this is the pre-modern imposing itself on the modern world,” Bazian made an obscene charge against critics of radical Islam:

[T]he Islamophobic industry in Europe and the U.S. are happier the more such murderers in Paris, Yemen, Iraq, and Nigeria authenticate with violent actions their distorted and racist views of Islam and the Prophet.

In other words, this vicious Muslim is claiming that those who oppose Jihad *enjoy* being murdered by his pious coreligionists. What scum.

We can’t talk about the Islam of old, but all we ever hear is about the transgressions of western societies in the past and how we must pay the price now. Total hypocrisy

Meanwhile in Australia, a female Muslim activist from Afganistan, has open an Islamophobia register on the www. her,,in response to claims that many Muslims are harassed for almost nothing at all other than being Muslim.[if so, she now knows just how so many Jews feel when they are subject to Islamic taunts or worse].

All Australians need to be aware that this “Islamophobia register” has been set up on the www. here to highlight the so-called examples of Islamophobia happenings here.

Would it be necessary for us to have an “Islamoreality register” to complement it?

Most unlikely as all forms of the media from around the World and here, give it to us every day in massive proportions. And jihad watch.org does so even more..

An Islamophobe is simply a kuffar who won’t buy into Islamo-crap…
Allah considers you ‘the worst of creatures’, and want’s you dead if you can’t conform…He wrote all about it in his book…

      HAPPY THANKSGIVING

      If I missed anyone
I WISH EVERYONE A HAPPY THANKSGIVING

Word of wisdom. Don’t accept a turkey from a Muslim, the stuffing is probably TNT

A Mohammedan agitprop runs the “islamophobia” research kitchen at Bezerkerly, the U.S. Moonbat factory number ONE! How bloody annoying is that?

When I was at Berkeley a few months ago, I went looking for the Islamophobia Research and Documentation Center. (Room 638 Barrows Hall.) It is little more than a broom closet, big enough for a desk and a file cabinet. Naturally, nobody was there. Likewise, his Zaytuna College rents space in a single brick building on the edge of campus.

Me suspects that Bazian is running a couple of storefront operations.

If this guy is an academic, I’m a bull rider.

This guy has an obligation to lie for Islam. Nothing he says has worth.

As director of UC Berkeley’s Islamophobia Research & Documentation Project

I bet his “research” is as unbiased as a report by a tobacco company saying there’s no cause-relation between smoking and lung cancer.
