Good they have their priorities straight. Also, it’s much easier to combat a politically correct fiction than a large and looming reality that no one wants to confront. Maybe Bernie Sanders could become President of France.
“France Says It’s ‘Essential’ To Fight Global Warming In Wake Of Paris Terror Attacks,” by Michael Bastasch, Daily Caller, November 14, 2015:
The United Nations will still hold its global warming summit in Paris this month despite deadly terror attacks that rocked the French capital Friday night. France’s foreign minister says the summit is “essential” to fighting global warming.
.@LaurentFabius says #COP21 is essential to combat #climatechange and that it will take place despite #ParisAttacks https://t.co/mHTZR3hQe8
— UN Climate Action (@UNFCCC) November 14, 2015
Despite the deadly attacks carried out by terrorists linked to the Islamic State, the U.N. has no plans to cancel the summit. U.N. and French officials likely see the summit as too important to cancel even in the wake of these shocking attacks. (RELATED: French Authorities Secure Concert Hall: 12 Freed, 118 Dead)
Indeed, many world leaders believe fighting global warming is a bigger long-term threat than terrorism. Minister Fabius himself warned that “climate change is a threat to peace” and a greater threat than terrorism.
“Terrorism is significant, but naked hunger is as significant as terrorism,” Fabius said in a speech last month. “And the relationship between terrorist activities and naked hunger are obvious. If you look at the vectors of recruitment into terrorist cells, most of the most vulnerable are hunger-prone areas.”
President Barack Obama and Secretary of State John Kerry have also claimed on numerous occasions there is “no greater threat” than global warming facing Americans or the world. “I am convinced that no challenge poses a greater threat to our future and future generations than a changing climate,” Obama said in a speech in August announcing new regulations on power plants.
“The Pentagon says that climate change poses immediate risks to our national security. We should act like it,” Obama said in his State of the Union speech in January.
Obama has made signing a global climate treaty a major effort during his second term. The president clearly wants such a treaty to be a part of his legacy. The administration has been touting its environmental policies in recent months, claiming that reducing CO2 emissions could even help avoid violent conflicts like the Syrian civil war.
“It is not a coincidence that immediately prior to the civil war in Syria, the country experienced the worst drought on record,” Kerry said in a recent speech. “Now, I’m not telling you that the crisis in Syria was caused by climate change,” but global warming “clearly made a bad situation a lot worse.”
For those in Paris, however, global warming is not likely on their minds in the wake of Islamic State terror attacks that killed more than 120 people and injured many more Friday night. Gunmen yelling “Allahu Akbar” and “this is for Syria” attacked six locations across the city, using firearms and explosives to inflict destruction and chaos on unsuspecting innocents.
Obama and Kerry are still expected to attend the climate summit November 30th despite the Paris attacks. Though U.N. organizers are still assessing the situation and the security risks of having so many world leaders in one place.
“The government will decide on the action to be taken,” Pierre-Henri Guignard, secretary-general of the climate summit, told the French paper Le Monde. France had plans to set up border checks ahead of the conference, and some 30,000 police officers were set to provide security for the summit. Some 40,000 people are expected to attend the climate summit later this month. The U.N’s top global warming official expressed her “deep pain” in the wake of the attacks, but Christiana Figueres said nothing about cancelling the climate summit that’s expected to yield a global treaty to cut carbon dioxide emissions….

Yep, the *refugees* are so hungry for food, they throw on the ground what food is provided and call it *fit for dogs and women.*
Terrorists are only hungry for death, rape, destruction and subjugation of others.

All brilliant minds had warned the westerns against these threats.
Do the leaders believe in preventing or treating the problems. Prevention would have stopped the terrorists from killing innocent people, while treatment will result in punishing them for what they have done.

Was the muslim invasión of France in 711 AD due to climate change?
Was also climate change the reason for the Spain invasion?
80 million Hindus were massacred by muslims. Was that the climate change too?
How about the First World War?
And the Second?

Actually, there is at least a possibility that the rise of Islam in the early 6th century – along with various other upsets – might have been facilitated by a massive climate disruption in some parts of the world caused by a super-volcano erupting.
The regional powers that would otherwise have been strong enough to crush Islam a-borning had been weakened by famine, plague, etc, and had not yet recovered.

My take on this subject is different.
There is really no logical reason why there might not be *two* major problems, of quite different character (though both human-caused) arising around the same time.
*Two* runaway trains heading at us from different directions.
But what happens if everybody insists on only seeing and warning about *one*, whilst being blind to the other?
And what if those who can see Train A are absolutely convinced that anybody trying to raise the alarm about Train B is deluded….or victims or agents of some vast and diabolical hoax or conspiracy ..whilst those who can see Train B **think exactly the same about those who are worrying about Train A**?

Hypothetical: somebody really clever in, say, Israel, comes up with a source of clean energy that is *not* dependent on either oil or coal, and that is cheaper than oil and easy to use in things like cars, trains, planes and buses; and that makes the possession of vast reserves of oil and/ or natural gas entirely irrelevant.
At the same time they come up with a way of making something like plastic (for use in, for example, only-use-once medical equipment, tubes and IV bags and such), *without* having to use oil, and more cheaply than if using oil.
Humanity – especially the infidel part of it – pounces upon these inventions with alacrity.
What happens to the disposable income of the Abominable House of Saud, and the equally abominable Islamic entity of Iran, and horrible Qatar, and horrible UAE, and the whole boiling?
You guessed it… They’d be back to eating sand, in no time.
(So long as infidel governments went on a war footing and seized the various illiquid assets that have been acquired by the rich Muslims – assets in places like Paris and London – and then *froze* the liquid assets also
the jihad would find itself very, very short of cash indeed.
That’s a very good reason for investing in R & D aimed at getting the world off oil (besides the fact that it *is* a finite resource, and pretending that it isn’t is flying in the face of reality, so thinking about how to get along without it, so that civilisation – if we can save it from the jihad – will survive even when all the oil wells run dry, is just commonsense.)
In the meantime…every person who scrupulously uses public transport, or rides a bicycle, and doesn’t own a car, is in fact contributing their ‘mite’ toward reducing the disposable income of the Enemy. Even if they don’t know that that’s what they’re doing!

Which is why they are doing whatever they can to ensure infidels don’t get their oil from other infidels. And some infidels have no qualms about helping them:

I’ve finally figured out Obama’s plan for fighting global warming!
Each adult averages 0.99 kg of CO2 produced each day. This is not including all the CO2 generated by their use of cars, electricity, and the CO2 needed to produce food for them.
Importing Islamic jihadists will result in the termination of CO2 production by American citizens on a ratio of about 4 citizens/jihadist over time, depending on the methods of termination. Exploding jihadists complicate the calculation, as each kg of C-4 generates about 218g of CO2, but a net negative balance would be expected as this is less than the jihadist’s production in a single day.
If 5% of 100,000 “refugees” are effective jihadists, and each jihadist takes out 4 kg of CO2 production (coming to a total of 5 kg when you figure in the jihadist) in the span of 5 years, at the end of 5 years we will be down 25,000 kg of CO2 production PER DAY! Total decrease in CO2 production, assuming a steady rate of jihadist activity, would be 22,813 metric tons (0.5 * 25,000 kg * 1825 days in 5 years) over 5 years, or a reduction averaging 4,563 metric tons per year!! And that’s a bare minimum estimate.
Finally, it all makes sense to me!
(please forgive me this morbid sense of humor; things are really not funny at all)

This is perhaps the most stupid post you’ve ever come up with. What’s the priority? You don’t think saving the planet should be pretty high up there? There are 7 billion of us on here, if we destroy the planet we all die. There may have been 129 people murdered on Friday but that’s less than get murder by gun violence in the US in an average week. Terrorism is something we have to combat but it’s not the only issue out there. We’re hurting here in Paris but I can’t imagine what a nightmare it must be to live in the US where you stubbornly refuse to acknowledge the evil of your gun laws and shrug disinterestedly at every new massacre.

The unreal playing-card edifice of “climate change” is the Western political elite’s “safe space” to cower in when reality becomes unbearable.
