Exposing the role that Islamic jihad theology and ideology play in the modern global conflicts

Iran: U.S. must pay reparations to the Islamic Republic

Nov 6, 2015 9:22 am By Robert Spencer

The billions in sanctions relief weren’t enough. The Islamic Republic sees the weakness of the Obama Administration, and is pressing forward with more demands.

Mohammed Reza Naqdi

“Iran: U.S. Must Pay Reparations to Islamic Republic,” by Adam Kredo, Washington Free Beacon, November 5, 2015:

An Iranian military leader is demanding that the United States pay Tehran reparations for the deaths of more than 250,000 Iranians at the hands of U.S. affiliates, according to regional reports.

Mohammad Reza Naqdi, a brigadier general in Iran’s volunteer Basij Force, said on Thursday that the Obama administration “should pay ransom” for its supposed role in killing Iranians during the 1979 Islamic Revolution that brought hardline extremists into power.

The demand for a ransom comes just a day after Iranians across the country took to the streets to rally against America and Israel. They burned U.S. flags and chanted, “Death to America.”

It was disclosed on Wednesday that Iran has been found to be directly responsible for the deaths of nearly 200 U.S. troops in Iraq and the wounding of nearly 1,000 others. The Obama administration has been hesitant to prosecute Iran under U.S. terrorism laws for these killings.

Naqdi said Iran has “irrefutable” evidence that America is responsible for the deaths of more than 250,000 Iranians.

“In the days when the Islamic Revolution was underway and after that and during the holy defense (the Iraqi-imposed war against Iran 1980-1988), over 250,000 Iranians were massacred directly by the U.S. or by its proxies at Washington’s order, and these US crimes can be proved based on undeniable and irrefutable proofs and documents,” the military figure was quoted as saying by Iran’s state-controlled Fars News Agency.

Because of this, Iran “should receive compensation money from the U.S. for the death of their children and beloved ones at the hands of the merciless Washington,” the report stated.

The report goes on to claim that Iranian officials have evidence that the United States worked with former Iraqi strongman Saddam Hussein, providing him weapons during his war against Iran.

The “good” to come from this and the other statements by El Supremo and his gang ? Capitol Hill wises up as to the clear unchangeable nature of Iran’s Islamic theocracy.

Ah, but who’s going to do that? The Democrats, a majority of whom agree with Iran that the US ought to have a limited (or preferably nonexistent) role in global affairs other than paying up? Or the Republicans, who continue to permit identically treasonous “libertarian” isolationist manipulators with the same basic ideology to dictate to the Conservative movement what it’s allowed to think about foreign policy?

This is going to get uglier, and quick, because there’s zero resolve in the GOP to do sensical things. For all the bluster many Republicans generate about the media, they have bought the spurious narratives almost completely, and they can’t fall into line fast enough to neutralise any real opposition to the Marxist machine.

You bring up a strong counter-argument to my post above, Katowice. I try to be brief on JW, and so sometimes leave out expansive points to support what I write. Dems are of course hopelessly bound by privilege guilt and “all religions deserve equal respect” idiocy.

But there are, IMHO, Repubs on major security and intelligence committees who give a huge dose of reality to other party members regarding something as important as preventing a nuclear Iran.

Options the U.S. will have to succeed in doing so have yet to be fully actualized — and there is also Israel’s capability for a pre-emptive strike.

I do not think Hillary will be elected, because when Repub candidates finally get down to their essential messages in the weeks before our national vote, enough Americans will see how any Dem endangers our survival.

Election day is far enough distant that Muslims in the U.S. and abroad have plenty of time to continue demonstrating their bloodthirsty pathological god’s obsession. Every one of the yet-to-occur terrorist hate crimes will make this more clear.

There certainly are individual Republicans with impeccable records and clear intentions on national security and foreign policy, and they’re going to be vital going forward if we’re to recapture any ground from the jihadis. I’m just deeply skeptical of the leadership. Of the ones that aren’t bought and paid for by Gulf interests, it seems like the rest are willing to sell out whatever is necessary to follow the tide.

I share some of your optimism about 2016. If nothing else, it could bring in even more Republican state-level governance, which should do wonders to impede the federal quislings.

US should pay reparations to Iran? Stunning. Audacious demand! No American president would ever agree to such insanity! But then, Barack Obama is not really an American president – merely a fraud who deceived foolish Americans. He will probably get in touch with Iran as soon as he finishes his latest round of golf to find out where to send the money!

Years ago I somehow formed the distinct opinion that this particular streak of humanity – namely Arabs & others in the ME were of a particular crafty mindset – nothing has changed my opinion in recent years, and here we go again – we negotiate with them and get an agreement and now they come right back – after the sanctions are lifted – and start making more demands. Whereas others in the West seem to have formed this opinion of the Jewish people, i never did, having always had Jewish friends and neighbors I saw nothing in them to be wary of – other ME peoples seem to be always trying to ‘get one over’ – i believe this may come from the religion, being such a distinct entity and so against every other human group they come across, looking to take advantage in any way possible, very slick !
Hey maybe I am just naive and everyone is like this and I just never noticed – or is this really the result of their belief system’s philosophy ? My loathing of Islam is growing by the minute and I just do not trust them !

No, they’re pretty transparent once you know how they negotiate.

      http://www.nationalreview.com/corner/254676/how-negotiate-iranians-michael-rubin

Bibi Netanyahu pretty much said as much in his speech to Congress. Whenever you set up a deal with people from that region you’d better be prepared to haggle. They’ll probably start off with an opening offer that is ludicrously beneficial to their side. The expectation is that the counter-offer will be just as unreasonable in the opposite direction. Eventually after both sides get closer to something in the middle one side or the other will threaten to walk away to indicate that the deal is done, a “take it or leave it if you will.” If the agreement reached is at least satisfactory, then they’ll take it. Both sides had better be prepared to police the terms of it with an iron fist though. Otherwise, the one side will cheat and walk all over the other.

      Sound familiar?

No, you’re right–this is Islam. If someone negotiates with Muslims in good faith, they take it as weakness–and of course this dhimmitude has them smelling blood in the water.

Well, the Washington Free Beacon is jumping this sack of poop’s statement a few notches above his pay grade — which is zero.

“Mohammad Reza Naqdi, a brigadier general in Iran’s volunteer Basij Force”

What does that even mean? He’s a volunteer brigadier general? Sorry, but this is not Iran saying “U.S. Must Pay Reparations to Islamic Republic” — it’s just another poopy head Mohammad giving his opinion.

However, that doesn’t mean that either one of the two top evil leaders might spew this nonsense in the near future. I am sure they’re probably thinking about it.

    • gravenimage says

Don, the Iran’s paramilitary Basij Force is notorious–and this is *very much* official Iran speaking.

Here’s more on the ugly Basij Force:

“Head of Iran’s Basij forces: ‘We must raise public hate … and create the environment for the destruction of America.’”

      http://www.jihadwatch.org/2012/03/head-of-irans-basij-forces-we-must-raise-public-hate-and-create-the-environment-for-the-destruction

“The Basij force is a militia unit, established in 1979 by revolutionary leader Ayatollah Khomeini, best known as a security force responsible for reacting to protests and other assemblies of dissident groups. It is a subset of Iran’s Revolutionary Guards”

This force is often used by Iran to brutalize, rape, and murder their own people:

A brief history of 20th century Iran. BP and Standard Oil directed UK and US military to seize control of Iran and it’s government to control it’s petrol dollars, hence the installation of the Shah. Iranians finally rebelled and set up the modern government, once again taking control of its own oil economy. The UK and US also successfully accomplished this oil hegemony in Afghanistan, Iraq, and Libya. We are presently attempting the same thing in Syria.

Maybe we DO owe them reparations.

      …………………

Ah—yes. British and American economic policy forced the poor Iranians to set up a brutal, oppressive Shari’ah state–what choice did the poor dears have?

And, really, what could be more “modern” than a state that sacralizes the rape of nine-year-old girls, hangs gay people, and stones women to death? sarc/off

      More:

The UK and US also successfully accomplished this oil hegemony in Afghanistan, Iraq, and Libya. We are presently attempting the same thing in Syria.
      …………………

Well, *that’s* quite a trick–given that Afghanistan has no oil industry at all, and we have never profited from Iraq’s oil. And we have almost no presence in Libya–not only did pious Muslims murdered our diplomats in Benghazi three years ago, but our embassy in Tripoli fell to the “Islamists” last year.

As for Syria, ISIS is making huge inroads there–they are using the oil to fund their Islamic State–not handing it over to the Americans.

Explain again how we have “oil hegemony” in any of these places?

      More:

Maybe we DO owe them reparations.
      …………………

If we have imaginary “oil hegemony” in the other countries you named, then we probably have it in the Islamic Republic of Iran to the exact same extent…

Sorry, Afghanistan’s poppy fields, which production has increased production 3800% since we showed up post 9/11, a la the Roosevelt opium empire. And there’s this. http://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2010-08-15/afghanistan-discovers-1-8-billion-barrel-oilfield-in-north-ministry-says

Did you know that prior to WWI the Germans were running a pipeline to Turkey, That they were going to bail the Ottoman Empire out of their debt to BP/Standard? That Germany was going to become the new Oil power and that this is what WWI was about? Need I get into the House of Saud, BP and Standard’s creation, and their use of Wahhabiism to destabilize the mideast oil countries?

The US propped the Shah up as a puppet after the US and UK illegally seized Iran. The war started long before the hostages, and we started it for OIL.

It hurts to wake up, but it’s good to be awake.

      Nov 7, 2015 at 11:15 am

      Rev. Bill:

Before we hear more rivers of tears over the “legitimate” and “patriotic” government of Mossadiq, keep in mind that while he was a lion with British and American interests, he was a crippled wither towards Soviet oil concessions in Iran. Indeed, his Tudeh friends held it a part of their duty of internationalist solidarity to keep mum about how the Soviets were looting their country. So, were Mossadiq and his allies the real patriots in Iran?

Indeed, it was Soviet attempts to detach southern Azerbaijan and Kordestan from Iran that got US and British policymakers squeamish about what might happen in Iran.

In hindsight, maybe it would’ve been better for the world had the Sovs taken Iran in the immediate postwar era, and had their Afghanistan there in the 1950’s rather than thirty years later. Maybe it would have been wonderful had all those southern Azerbaijan clerics who were so prominent in Khomeini’s retinue ended up in Soviet orphanages after their parents had been snuffed out in the Gulag. But how could anyone know how things would turn out?

It’s a bit of poetic irony that the Iranian Revolution of 1979 became the harbinger of an international Ilsamicist explosion. Back in 1979, the odds-on favorites to win in the struggle against the Shah were the Tudeh. Khomeini’s victory, however, confounded not only his temporary allies in the Iranian Left, but also every Western intelligence agency. Hence the shocked panic about “Islamic fundamentalism” and a futile search for perpetually elusive “Islamic moderates” that’s been infecting the Western policy community for decades; and the Left’s paranoia about Christian fundamentalists (who haven’t been slitting anyone’s throat lately) running amok in this age of Obama.

In light of what Western governments knew back in the early 1950’s and the clearly revealed intentions of Soviet foreign policy, they did what they had to do in Iran (and, at the time, a large number of Iranians agreed with them).

At this stage, with no American involvement with Iran, I daresay we just ought to continue letting ourselves wear thin as official Iran’s NUmber One Excuse for its own problems.

This is about Big Oil. Not nationalism or religion. Not about Ayatollahs saying “Death to America”. Only Big Oil, for which we have sacrificed our sons for 100 years.

Huh, so what? Had the US not sold Saddam weapons someone else would have. Or maybe Saddam would have armed his troops with, sharp sticks, pointy rocks and suicide bombers and killed Iranians just the same. Claiming that the US are responsible for the use Saddam gave his weapons is mind-numbingly dumb.

The only reparations who need paying are by the mullahs to the families whose children were forced to go clear minefields by rolling over them.

He travels with so much security and hardly goes out unless it is needed. What he saying is for domestic consumption that Iranians don’t give 2 S….. about it.Because of this nuclear deal there is huge partisan between people like him who is very close to the Ayatoaalh and the reformers. The hard liners like are s…in their pants because of this deal . Not because they are so much anti American. They are frightened to death knowing if this deal goes through the doors will open up and can and will lose their grip, They are doing everything they can to derail this. But they have no choice but to come to table because their economy is almost bankrupt and near collapse. Looks like the deal will go down because the ayatollah is coming out every other day announcing after this deal no one is allowed to talk about anything with Americans. That how scared they are. m
