Italian police seize 800 shotguns bound for Belgium from Turkey

Nov 27, 2015 10:23 am By Robert Spencer

800 shotguns — that’s a lot of jihad terror.

Italian police

“Italian police seize 800 shotguns bound for Belgium,” Reuters, November 26, 2015:

ROME: Italian police seized almost 800 shotguns bound for Belgium from Turkey from a truck that arrived in the northeastern port of Trieste, a statement said Thursday.

The finance police, who are often in charge of port security, said that while customs rules had not been violated, the Turkish truck driver did not have the licences needed to transport the 781 Winchester SXP shotguns.

Pump-action Winchester SXP rifles are made for hunting and are not considered assault weapons, but police said they had “substantially” increased their border inspections in the wake of the Nov. 13 Paris attacks and subsequent alert in Belgium….

According to the company’s website, the shotguns seized are the fastest pump-action rifles in the market, capable of delivering three shots in half a second.

The Islamist militants who killed 130 people in the French capital mainly used Kalashnikov assault rifles, or AK-47s.

I checked out that link and noticed that the comment board was crawling with moslems and conspiracy nutjobs trying to somehow blame Israel for this — as impossible to even conceive as that might be! And a bunch of posts about how Israel “created ISIS” — I kid you not. This is the insane world of pro-Islam propaganda anti-truth and misinformation conspiracies in which we live — there is an entire army of internet jihadis out there. They are truly at war with the world in their minds and the first tool they are using is deception. They probably even believe it themselves.

yes, seeing that a lot these days, the white supremacist types not missing a chance to blame the joooz, they don’t even bother providing the usual forged evidence like the protocols like they used to. but the content on the link itself is good.

I wonder if the new tactics, for political cover, is to present oneself as a “white wing nut” who kills really for one ideology masking themselves as “white wing”, which would work for the current administration and get tons of press to distract and confuse. This could be the new tactic used by isis or any other islamic terror group and be effective. I have always doubted that the young man who shot up the black church, from a few of his statements to the prayer group really just went after Christians. Do normally “white wing” go after Christians…? Or did this work to cause disruption in a “racist” country that the administraion talks about as if he did not get elected by a landslide. Just curious since I know isis will morph many tactics and knows how to use the media.

Sorry, my comment was way off topic for guns being intercepted in Italy, bound for Belgium from Turkey.

I don’t know what the gun laws are in Belgium, so I can’t comment except that it would be interesting to know who was the intended recipient, but we know who the sender was so the Italian police are protecting Belgium, unless it was for Belgium Police.

The wing nut conspiracy mob are short on details, but many believe even Jesus is part of the jooo’z plan to ethnically cleanse them. They have always had an affinity with their muslim supremacist brethren, so who knows.
But back to the shotguns, they are designed for shooting birds, one of the best available, but a sharp knife and a hot glue gun makes them a choice weapon for terrorists. No doubt in my mind they are for arming the recently arrived invasion force embedded amongst the economic migrants, as firearms of any kind are not easy to come by in Europe, this makes total sense. The Jews within the unarmed indigenous population, of course will be the primary targets.

“CUSTOMS RULES HAD NOT BEEN VIOLATED” Well they had better start changing the rules. That is one big problem with this Islamic terrorist business…No where in the world are there stringent rules ….(LAWS)…to control what needs to be controlled. Even if I might loose some of my rights to stop isis and all the other terrorists organizations I would be glad to do so.

Calm down, everybody – the eight hundred shotguns were only ever going to be distributed to a very tiny minority of Muslims.

    • Don McKellar says

      Nov 27, 2015 at 12:03 pm

Well, exactly! What’s a few hundred shotguns here and there in the hands of Islamic supremacists? A bunch of worry over nothing.

        Nov 27, 2015 at 12:16 pm

And even if each and every one of the 800 jihadists were able to kill 130 kafirs before getting shot by police, that would still only amount to 104,000 fatalities, out of a world total non-Muslim population of over 5.4 billion.

And the voters of those countries is where the buck stops. They need to look around at the disasters brewing in their countries, the massive colonization and take over, the elimination of their rights and freedoms in deference to a foreign death cult, and all that money being sucked out of their wallets — and vote with their brains come next election.

I did a bit of research on the internet.

If you use the right kind of slugs in shotguns of this type, you can get a spread of 5 inches at around 100 yards. This is as far as you can easily see people. This is also a particularly fast-pump shotgun.

It seems to me that from the point of view of the terrorist, this has all the advantages of an explosive device with none of the disadvantages. With a high-accuracy, fast-shooting variable-spread shotgun, you can take a group of terrorists into a crowd, mow down the close ones with smaller pellets, then mow down those at a farther distance with larger loads. You can specialize your team: 2/3 of them have the shotguns for maximum killing, and 1/3 have longer-range weapons for cover and picking off security people. The automatic weapons, like the AK-47s, will actually be less effective, as they use lots of ammo and are inaccurate at longer distances.

Such are the benefits of multi-cultural immigration and open borders with our NATO ally, Turkey. It would be even better if Turkey were a member of the EU, with completely open borders. Then, cargoes would be subject to much less inspection than even now.

Of course, if Russia shoots down a Turkish jet attacking Russian planes or Syrian government facilities, NATO will be committed to fighting a war against Russia. I guess the killing then will be wholesale, and we won’t need to worry about picayune terrorists.

I used to work with a gun “enthusiast” who could give accurate details on this.

I suppose with certain barrel choke and large gauge load an effective spread of 5 inches at around 100 yards might be possible but the key word is effective because shotgun projectiles lose a great amount of velocity at much shorter distances than grooved rifle barrels.

Just a side note to dispel leftist propaganda:

Hey MORONS AT REUTERS, there is no such thing as a “Kalashnikov assault rifle.” In fact Reuter morons, there’s no such thing as an “assault weapon”…..period. “Assault Weapon” is a term that was coined by the leftists in the U.S. in the early 90’s…..the Jim Brady left wing demagogues, for semi-auto weapons with “scary militaristic” markings. The term “Kalashnikov assault rifle” has as much legitimate meaning as a “baseball assault bat.”

These shot guns have pistol grips. They are riot guns. They are very destuctive 12 gage firing 00 buckshot round This shell equals firing 12 32 caliber pellets in one burst. The weapon is ideal for close -in urban warfare; the bonus is you don’t have to be a good shot. At 5 to 20 or 30 feet the shooter just points and pulls the trigger. The spread does the work. Building doorway entries against this weapon are dicey at best. Thank God they never reached the users. They do as much damage as automatic fire at close range.

Suspicious at the very least. Presumably US made shotguns, the shipment was sent from Turkey to Belgium. That sort of transshipping doesn’t seem to make sense. They could have been imported to Belgium direct from the US. One thing we have discovered is that Belgium has the weakest gun control laws of Europe. It also has a significant Arms industry (“FN” for example) and is believed to be the source of much illegal gun trafficing. These shot guns could have been heading for any black market buyer, criminals or jihadists.

No, they are not made in the USA, the Winchester SXP shotgun is made for Winchester USA under license in Turkey, as a gun nut and ex Soldier, the wWinchester SXP is ok….just …and using OO buck or 3inch shells the recoil for untrained shooters is offset by the lack of control of the gun , beyond 30 yards the spread pattern is too large, for wounding it works [ oo buck ] out past 30 plus yards and a bit more the kill ratio goes down a heck of a lot, we trained with M4 Benelis and Mossberg 590A1s for a reason .reliability and accuracy.. The shotgun is ÓK “and thats it, it does have reliability issues as well., It would have been shipped out of Turkey because there is no way Mossberg or Remington would be doing this in the USA.

And these are the guns that didn’t get through,,

Turkey is defiantly playing the double card here and I hope it gets very dangerous for them, how could the govt possibly not know these guns were passing through, once again “follow the money and all will be revealed” Of course this is Islamic Bucksheeh’s country, so everyone from “the govt.” won’t know anything & will be horrified ..

Turkey should be kicked out of NATO, for this,, imagine what would happen if it was Germany, or France sending this amount of killing devices to terrorists .. NATO should behave like Saudi and just quietly pull out, let Putin and Turkey play it by themselves..

I agree with your last sentence.

The Mayor of Brussels was supposed to have said, to the effect, that (before Paris-2 weeks ago) that the terrorists ONLY ( emphasis mine) ATTACKED SYNAGOGUES AND JEWISH MUSEUMS, BUT NOW ARE ATTACKING (other-non Jewish- apparently–places).

Just wait, any moment our Muslim friends and ally countries are about to join in on the fight.

Countries like Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and Qatar are furious at ISIS for (hijacking Islam) and especially mad at those ISIS members following Muhammad’s example.
