Exposing the role that Islamic jihad theology and ideology play in the modern global conflicts

Italy: Bob Dylan concerts to have armed guards

Nov 17, 2015 12:41 pm By Robert Spencer

Bob Dylan didn’t even draw Muhammad or “poke Muslims in the eye.” Still, you don’t need a weatherman to know which way the wind blows: Bob Dylan, the Zionist who wrote Neighborhood Bully, is someone the jihadis would love to kill.

MusiCares Person Of The Year Tribute To Bob Dylan - Show

“Bob Dylan Bologna concerts to have armed guards,” ANSA, November 17, 2015:

(ANSA) – Rome, November 17 – Bob Dylan’s two concerts in Italy – in Bologna 18-19 November – will have armed guards after the Paris terror attacks, sources from the US singer-songwriter’s entourage told local media Tuesday.

The guards will be at the entrance and backstage area, media reported.

    • Kepha says

      Nov 17, 2015 at 9:30 pm

I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again: if it were up to me and these “most creative people” came knocking on American doors for asylum, I’d make them swim home in midwinter. They’re the self-same creeps who love to mock Jesus the Messiah, call for “hate speech” codes to be used against anyone who says that homosexuality is sin (and doubtlessly before long they’ll teach us what wonderfully sensual creatures childdren are, too), and yet are so deferential and submissive to Islam’s bullying. They’ve used their creative talents to demoralize our civilization every which way, and bear a lot of the responsibility for the current furor islamicus being able to get away with murder.

I lost any deference towards Europe’s vaunted intellectual class long ago. Don’t let them reinforce the ranks of our own land’s self-important nobodies. They’ve resented us and have never forgiven us for making it impossible to live and work under their idol Stalin. All my life, they’ve wagged figures at us for being racist; but I’ve run into their own “dark folk” who marvel at how “relaxed” American race relations are in places which, back in my own boyhood, were stomping grounds of the Klan. Their supposed “independent Marxists” and “Eurocommunists” (supposedly to the Siberian kind what the Monsoon Muslims of Aceh and Mindanao are to the “desert Muslims”of Pathologicalstan and Fakestine) who taught Pol Pot and Co. everything they ever knew about how to thoroughly revolutionize a society are about the most despicable. Maybe they can go down to Bolivia and grow coca leaves on the Alitplano with Evo Morales and degenerate like someone in a story by Borges; but don’t let them in here.

Bob Dylan is one of those indefectible “souls of Rock n’ Roll” along with The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Temptations, Santana and a few others from the turbulent 1960’s, from whence I was a ‘tween and a teen. Bob Dylan was born in 1941 and that makes him 74! So glad he is still performing. Among his most recognizable songs from the 1960’s are: “Don’t Think Twice, It’s Alright”, “Blowin’ in the Wind”, “It Ain’t Me, Babe”, “The Times They are A-Changin'”, “Mr Tambourine Man”, “Like a Rolling Stone”, “Just like a Woman”. No doubt a radical Islamist group like ISIS doesn’t want their name taken in vain because Bob Dylan created a song in 1976 and he named it ISIS! (But his ISIS song was written for a lady love.) Toward the ending, his lyrics are: “ISIS oh ISIS you mystical child, what drives me to you is what drives me insane…” Bob Dylan, be safe and keep singing. And every day I pray that the terror group ISIS is either destroyed or converted to Jesus. It could happen, because every member of ISIS has a soul.

    • Jack Diamond says

      Nov 17, 2015 at 3:17 pm

I don’t think Dylan has performed “Isis” since the time it was written and events have assured that it will probably not be performed any time soon. Members of the Islamic State call it al-dawla (the State) I doubt they are much aware of an old Dylan song or even the Egyptian goddess, though they would be very aware that Dylan is a Jew. Just as they knew the concert hall in Paris was owned by Jews when they targeted it.

I would venture that the first thing an ardent member of ISIS has to have lost is their soul. I’m not sure there is a return on those things.

      • Peter Charles says

        Nov 17, 2015 at 5:37 pm

Yes, he is really Robert Zimmerman, but I doubt he is practicing. After all, time has moved on and “Things Have Changed” with a lot of water under the bridge, a lot of other stuff too……

        • Jack Diamond says

          Nov 17, 2015 at 6:11 pm

You think they would care a fig if he is “practicing”? He is a famous Jew. Or that it’s better that he became a Christian or Messianic Jew or whatever he might be now? They might not know the song “Isis” but they probably know “Neighborhood Bully” is a defense of Israel.

        Nov 17, 2015 at 7:51 pm

To Jack Diamond- Thank you for all your posts on this article, especially the interview with Bob Dylan and Rolling Stone magazine wherein he cites “The Art of War” from the 6th century author Sun-Tzu; I found that fascinating. But I want to address your previous comment with these last 2 sentences: “I would venture that the first thing an ardent member of ISIS has to have lost is their soul. I am not sure there is a return on those things.” Jack, I don’t know what your beliefs are with respect to religion and spirituality. But according to Lutheran doctrine and a writer called Milburn Cockrell, any person who is alive has a soul. The body houses the soul, but the soul is the most noble part of a person. The soul aligns the person with God and the angels. So even though I do understand your skepticism, any person alive on planet Earth has a soul, even if that human is committing all kinds of atrocities. If that person dies without asking forgiveness of God, that human is consciously excluding God from his/her afterlife. And I found a very apropos verse referencing ISIS in Proverbs 8:35-36. “For he who finds me finds life and obtains favor from the Lord; but he who misses me injures himself; all who hate me love death.” Kind regards Jack. I enjoy reading what you contribute here.

          Nov 17, 2015 at 9:45 pm

Hi Linde. To speak in religious terms, I would say that person is not likely to ask forgiveness of God who thinks they are doing the express will of God, even when cutting the head off Christians. Clearly we have entered a demonic realm here that invites questions of damnation. Even in the realm of exorcism they speak of those who can be cured and redeemed and those who are beyond cure, the perfectly possessed–the Faustian bargain of those who have sold their souls knowingly. There may still be a soul left, if using the term is still meaningful, but it is nothing noble and it has embraced death, the anti-life. I don’t discount a Road to Damascus moment for someone or claim to know what is in anybody’s heart–I only know what they say and do. But what kind of “soul” would exist in a dedicated ISIS fighter? What manner of conscience or humanity is left when both must be killed off to do what is required? Is Muhammad not an anti-Christ? What is it to literally embody him and his companions? Do you think Muhammad probably “lost” his soul along the way, with his ever worsening crimes and in his delusions of grandeur? Do you think he got it back? My guess would be no.

Isis is one of the truly great songs by anyone ever. I’m sure it was performed by Dylan more than once, but it is hard (and soul-searing) to do it right. So maybe he didn’t try it often. It will remain a great song despite the murderous nut group now referred to, among other things, as ISIS.

Q This record (Love and Theft) was released on September 11th (2001)— the same date as the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon…Is there anything you would like to say about your reaction to the events of that day?

Dylan: One of those Rudyard Kipling poems, “Gentlemen-Rankers,” comes to my mind: “We have done with Hope and Honour, we are lost to Love and Truth/We are dropping down the ladder rung by rung/And the measure of our torment is the measure of our youth/God help us, for we knew the worst too young!” If anything, my mind would go to young people at a time like this. That’s really the only way to put it.

Q: You mean because of what’s at stake for them right now, as we apparently go to war?
Dylan: Exactly. I mean, art imposes order on life, but how much more art will there be? We don’t really know. There’s a secret sanctity of nature. How much more of that will there be? At the moment, the rational mind’s way of thinking wouldn’t really explain what’s happened. You need something else, with a capital E, to explain it. It’s going to have to be dealt with sooner or later, of course.

Q: Do you see any hope for the situation we find ourselves in?

Dylan: I don’t really know what I could tell you. I don’t consider myself an educator or an explainer. You see what it is that I do, and that’s what I’ve always done. But it is time now for great men to come forward. With small men, no great thing can be accomplished at the moment. Those people in charge, I’m sure they’ve read Sun-Tzu, who wrote The Art of War in the sixth century. In there he says, “If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself and not your enemy, for every victory gained you will suffer a defeat.” And he goes on to say, “If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.” Whoever’s in charge, I’m sure they would have read that.

Uh oh. I look at that “debate” stage and they look small, except maybe Dr Ben Carson MD.

Those people in charge, I’m sure they’ve read Sun-Tzu…

I’m sure they haven’t read a book in decades. Our current president feels himself to be a truly great man. So great he published not one but two autobiographies before he turned 40. Chillingly, some actually read the thing.

… who wrote The Art of War in the sixth century. In there he says, “If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself and not your enemy, for every victory gained you will suffer a defeat.”

Radical Islamist. Violent extremist. Oh, we are groping in a fog of malformed language made by those unwilling to face up to what is surely in store for us.

      • Jack Diamond says

        Nov 17, 2015 at 6:34 pm

Hence the need for great men not small men. Who know that what we are dealing with is the big E (Evil), and specifically in the context of “knowing yourself” and “knowing the enemy”when it comes to this war. He knew what he was saying and said it profoundly well for the discerning.

Actually, it first showed up in town on February 26, 1993. But the Infidels failed to show proper appreciation for what the Blind Sheick brought, the call to Islam. Thus they were obliged to knock on the door again, several years later, this time more loudly. But you knew that.

    I just wondered-
Maybe like Cat Stevens, with his-
“longer boats are coming to win us”
Bob Dylan also prophecized Islam with his-
“guns and sharp swords in the hands of young children”
    and-
“roar of a wave that could drown the whole world”
    and-
“ten thousand whispering and no body listening”
    and-
“a young woman whose body was burning”
    and-
“the executioner’s face is always well hidden”
    and-
“where black is the colour and none is the number”
The Muslims have said that we westerners don’t understand the power of ZERO which i think is related to
    “the power of the UNSEEN”
at the beginning of the koran.
    Just a thought

To citycat- Thank you for your post quoting Bob Dylan: “…guns and sharp swords…” and the power of the unseen. Very profound and deep. But in my humble opinion, the power of the unseen as referenced in the Quran is the devil. Don’t know if you interpret it as such.

  9. citycat says

    Nov 17, 2015 at 9:01 pm

    Linde
no, i don’t interpret it at all.
I don’t think it’s the devil because as far as i recall, i burnt the koran cos i couldn’t handle its vibes, the koran says something like
“he that does not believe in the power of the unseen is….”
i can’t recall the words but i recall it meant something like a heretic or something bad or contrary to Islam, so i took it that muslims must have to believe in the power of the unseen, so i doubt that it was refering to the devil.
I don’t know about after death and retribution for one’s karma, so to speak, one looks for light, anything else is a theory. Ok

    • Jack Diamond says

      Nov 18, 2015 at 6:26 pm

-Everybody seems to mix up refugees with terrorists- Funny how that works when terrorists are mixing themselves up with refugees.

With fake Syrian IDs made in Turkey. With Muslim communities embedded in Europe that provide a welcoming sea the sharks can swim freely in. It’s just a coincidence ISIS said they were going to create a refugee crisis as cover for their operatives and have just done exactly that? You realize Saudi Arabia and the other rich Arabs who helped create this will take not a one of them, for a)security concerns (why is that?); b) to flood the West with Muslim migrants performing hijra (yes, it means conquest, based on the first hijra to conquer the Jews at Yathrib/Medina).

Hint, the Saudis don’t regard most of them as desperate refugees (starving women, huddled orphans).
Not that they would care. But 72% of them somehow are young, military age males. With cell phones and a bad attitude, as many can affirm who have dealt with them. Most are not from Syria at all, hence are not refugees at all. Yes, there are some real refugees caught between their own Muslim factions but surely you understand the truest victims, the worthiest of being given refuge, the most persecuted people in fear of their lives, are not the ones being sent to us. The Christians who have had genocide waged against them and who are chased out of UN refugee camps by the Muslims–and the USA is getting its refugees through the auspices of the UN–and the Yazidis, whose men are murdered and girls made into sex slaves (by pious Muslims, following sharia and their prophet). Do you wonder why tens of thousands of persecuted Christians or Yazidis are NOT the refugees coming here?

Oh, but Saudi Arabia has offered to pay for construction of many new mosques so the refugees feel right at home.

No one has a “right” to be in America. Certainly not a population that cannot possibly be “vetted” who almost certainly will include deadly enemies, aside from the larger problem of allowing more Muslims into this country at all. What are you going to say to the families of innocent dead Americans when events like Paris occur as a result of your beneficence? Oops? Sorry?

Where in Islam are there any chimes of freedom ringing? Saudi Arabia? UAE? Iran? Pakistan? Somalia?
Gaza? The ruins of the Arab Spring flowering-of-democracy and liberation-from-tyranny transiting into the twilight of Jihad running amok?

Why not? The Qur’an. The Sunnah. The manuals of Sharia. The consensus of Islamic scholars. Muhammad, the model of conduct for all Muslims. No chimes of freedom to be found anywhere in there. Just the opposite, which is the reason the word Islam means….submission. Believe it or not, real Muslims believe in Islam. To know why that is a problem for non-Muslims, start reading the archives of this site. There won’t be any chimes of freedom ringing anywhere should the enemies of freedom have their way.
