Exposing the role that Islamic jihad theology and ideology play in the modern global conflicts

MSNBC frets “tsunami of hatred” will meet Muslims in France

Nov 14, 2015 11:39 pm By Robert Spencer

“Christopher Dickey of the Daily Beast worried that ‘the right wing politicians’ in France ‘are going to do their best to take advantage of it and probably successfully to further divide this country.'” How the Islamic jihadists have tried to divide the country is less a concern to Dickey and MSNBC than the depredations of the “right-wing.”

This led host Tamron Hall to “recall concerns that a ‘tsunami of hatred may await Muslims.'” The extent of support that the Islamic State may have among Muslims in France was of no concern to Tamron Hall. MSNBC, without thinking twice about the jihad threat, simply falls into default mode: Muslims are victims, no matter how many Infidels are dead.

“MSNBC Frets ‘Tsunami of Hatred’ Will Meet French Muslims, Right Wing Will ‘Take Advantage,'” by Brad Wilmouth, NewsBusters, November 14, 2015:

During Saturday morning’s live MSNBC coverage of the Paris terror attacks, Christopher Dickey of the Daily Beast worried that “the right wing politicians” in France “are going to do their best to take advantage of it and probably successfully to further divide this country,” leading host Tamron Hall to recall concerns that a “tsunami of hatred may await Muslims.”

Dickey then dismissed national security concerns about allowing Muslim refugees from Syria and North Africa to enter Europe as he downplayed the possibility such factors contributed to the attacks, as he declared, “I don’t think it is  I’ll be surprised if turns out to be the case. But it doesn’t matter if it’s true or not, people will act on that assumption.”

At about 9:10 a.m., after recounting that the terrorists had chosen targets that would not be heavily protected by police or military personnel, he brought up the possibility of the “right wing” dividing the country:

They were hitting the softest possible targets. They were hitting targets where there were going to be a lot of young people. In fact, a lot of young working class people, a lot of the Muslims. We don’t know how many have been killed, but I would bet you that a lot of the victims were in fact people from North African and African backgrounds.

So I think it’s going to be a hugely difficult situation and, but the right wing, Marine Le Pen, the right wing politicians in this country are going to do their best to take advantage of it and probably successfully to further divide this country, basically to simplify it between black and white.

Hall then brought up possible backlash against Muslims as she injected:

And, Christopher, to that point of some of the victims and us not knowing the background, some of them perhaps could very well be Muslim, I’ve been in that area. It is in many ways, while it’s the hip area, if you want to blanketly describe something that way, it is also one of diversity.

And now you also have some community leaders in the working class neighborhoods of Paris who are saying now that they fear a “tsunami of hatred may await Muslims and residents of poor neighborhoods following these deadly attacks.” That’s one quote from the Associated Press speaking to this divide and quite naturally the fears and the blame that follow something this unimaginable….

      Yes, the standard response to Muslim terrorism by libs is to fear that conservatives may take vengence on innocent Muslims. I want revenge for those who were slaughtered in Paris by wiping out ISIS and deporting terrorist sympathizers from the West.

    We need a tsunami of action, not hatred for one another.

    We can prevent further attacks by raiding mosques, jailing Imams and identifying those who teach the Koran. Then we don’t need to respond, we don’t need to fight it and we don’t need to defeat it. There is no reason for people to continue to live in fear except for Political Correctness. There is no need to fight all muslims, only those who object to the closure of mosques. There is no need to kill on a large scale, only those who are willing to defend Islam. It is Islam and its teaching which is our enemy! All this talk about looking for terrorists is nonsense. All this fear is misplaced. Only Political Correctness can kill us. No need to “flag” anybody. Bring them all in for questioning. Just close the mosques! The mosques contain the entire network that you are looking for.

    Don’t wait for the Police.

        I advocated that European countries send the military into thes no-go zones to get out the Muslim criminals and terrorists. If that starts a civil war, then so be it. Better to start the war now before Muslims become a much larger percentage of the population.

    If Christians worldwide in the name of their religion committed just a tenth of the atrocities that Muslims have, the MSM, which already takes cheap shots aplenty at Christians, would be relentless in their criticism of Christianity and Christians, contra their continued and nauseating exculpation of Islam and Muslims. Anyone doubting this lives in a fantasy world, which actually is a world that the MSM regularly inhabits.

    • john spielman says

      Nov 15, 2015 at 8:57 am

      Tho no one can deny the evil done in the name of Christ by so called Christians in the past, there is NO validation of such behavior in the New Testament (Luke 19 is a parable about the end of this age when Jesus returns and destroys the evil doers Himself Revelation 19). So any violence against others in the name of Jesus is not sanctioned by Him. Paul the apostle said that we DO NOT fight against flesh and blood but against the spiritual authorities ( demons ) behind them.
      islam on the other hand not only allows violence against unbelievers but encourages it as the only way to guarantee access to the muhammedan paradise -that big alcohol fuelled brothel in the sky

      Mr. Wellington, If Jews ( be they in Israel or anywhere else in the world) committed 1/1,000th of these atrocities ( but especially if in Israel, or Gaza or the West Bank) the liberals ( both in the US and Europe, including Hollande and his FM, and probably also Merkle) would be up in arms. calling on the ICC etc to “punish’ these criminals.

      But, we say some tough talk and no action. And, on another site, someone put it succinctly, in a week or two, there will be some such crap ( they were more polite) what does Kashadian (or however her name is spelled) think of the Paris massacres.
      (Perhaps also Ben Afleck for his views – would be just as noteworthy and worthless–my view-this portion).

      But, i agree. Nothing will happen, be whitewashed.

      At about 9:30 PM eastern time Sat., I read the dead totaled 157; at 10 PM, it was down to 120 confirmed but adding the numbers confirmed I came to 167 (100 at the concert; 35 at the soccer game; 18 at the restaurant; rest scattered) . By this morning, it was down to 129-3 at the soccer game (32 came back to life) 14 at the restaurant ( 4 came back) isn’t French medicine great?

        Nov 15, 2015 at 9:58 pm

        Oliver, there is often some confusion with this sort of carnage in the early hours of reporting–I’m sure some of the dead were counted twice. There is nothing unusual about this–this does not just happen in France, but in all Western countries. Things are much more chaotic outside the West.

        The same thing happened on 9/11, where well regarded reports early on put the death toll at over 3000.

        As horrific as the body count was, I’m glad is wasn’t even higher–I’m sure most people here at Jihad Watch feel the same way.

        I agree with you, Oliver. One Jewish terrorist (practically an oxymoron) would not only be ad nauseam excoriated but Jews as a whole would be broad brushed with blame by the MSM. Hell, you didn’t even need any Jewish terrorism for Jews to be blamed nonetheless. BTW, I am not Jewish so I don’t assert this from any “inside” perspective, “merely” from a truth perspective.

    Journalists and *news people* have been raped or killed by moslims just doing their thing, so the fact that these ones are helping moslims that have killed cover what they have done, won’t matter a hill of beans to those who advance to the doors.

    The devil doesn’t remember favors nor does he do good to anyone. The tsunami will come, but not the one these people are predicting. islam is the basis for the hatred and murder that Paris saw yesterday and other cities will see on a coming tomorrow.

      Islamic immigration is problematic in any nation with a written constitution, or which has adopted any guarantee of civil rights. First, because Islam systematically discriminates against non-Muslims. Second, in the US and EU countries, sharia punishments definitely include the “cruel and unusual” such as lopping off the hand of a thief. Third, seeing Muslimas in Western countries in niqab and hijab is a living example of the oppression of women is Islam, sanctioned by the Q’uran.

      Why in the world encourage people with these views into any decent country? Renouncing Islam, or being a documented non-Muslim should be a prerequisite to allowing anyone from an Islam-oppressed country into any decent country.

    What’s needed is not ‘hatred’ but ANGER.

    I’d like to see some good hot old-fashioned *anger*. Frankly, if – in the first awful minutes or hour after this brazen and ghastly Muslim butchery of unarmed French citizens and tourists in the very heart of Paris, which is the heart of France, and one of the iconic capital cities of Western and indeed of all human civilisation – Francois Hollande had let rip against the jihadis and their enablers, with a stream of the most inventive and fiery and vile invective straight from the gutters of Paris, I would have *applauded*. I’m sick to death of seeing horrible footage of jihad mass murder and then hearing mealymouthed politicians and pundits and op-edders squeaking and bleating, shivering and cringing and wagging their fingers and urging ‘restraint’ and giving us platitudes about ‘unity’ and ‘tolerance’.

    We need some people willing to allow themselves to feel the sort of anger that drove Nancy Wake, the ‘white mouse’ after – I think in Austria? – she saw a bunch of Nazis savagely flogging an elderly Jew whom they had tied to a cart-wheel. Her sheer fury at the cruel thuggery she witnessed, drove her to the UK to learn all kinds of skills (including how to kill a man with your bare hands). And then she spent the war as a very active member of the Resistance, making life really difficult for any number of Nazi thugs. (Incidentally, France was Nancy Wake’s second home, her spiritual home; born in NZ, educated in Australia, she married a Frenchman, lived most of her life in Europe, fought against the Reich in France, and when she died, her ashes were scattered across the soil of France….May her spirit somehow infuse the French resistance to Islamisation, today).

    We need *someone* to be willing to show the kind of anger that filled Oriana Fallaci in 2001 when she witnessed the September 11 attacks on New York City. But who also knows how to channel that anger into precisely-targeted intelligent *action*, step by step.

    Every mosque in France – beginning with those in Paris – should be getting raided, and searched from top to bottom, with sniffer dogs taking part; and every mosque that is found to have anything at all dodgy going on under its roof should be shut down – never to be permitted to reopen – and its governing personnel arrested and given the third degree. With deportations on the top of the agenda. That would send a message.

    Jihad starts at the mosque. Jihad issues form the mosque. All the blather about the internet and social media is a distraction. Islam is old-fashioned. The mosque is still where it’s at, in the end and at the beginning. It’s a fort, a military forward-operating base. You can’t hide weapons in cyberspace; you have to store them somewhere, under the bed or in the car or…in the mosque. So…search the bloody mosques! Even if you decide you don’t have enough personnel to take *all* of them, an attack like this presents the perfect reason to take out a selection of those that the intelligence services and police have already got a bad feeling about (and I bet there are quite a few).

    The Left’s time is up – the political guard is changing.

    ::

    Western society has become the whipping boy for Islam.

    And hence the violence is further sealing Islamic privilege.

    Islamic law says Muslims should be in control – and we are giving that to them.

    This is a bad deal for the people of Europe!

    All so that business leaders can get their business on!

    They couldn’t care less – if Europeans lost all their civil liberties in this grand scheme.

    ::

    ‘racism-racist-hateful’

    This integration as the Left put it is a complete and utter lie – western society is being herded – then rammed down that Islamic rabbit hole. Forced along the way towards sharia – with the attacking dogs barking ‘racism’ ‘racist’ ‘hateful’ – when people say they don’t want to go.

    If they paint a religious picture as a racist one – there has got to be something wrong with it.

    ::

    Social cohesion engineered

    Look at how moronic the business view is – in Germany the largest Muslim group has been the Turks – 80% of whom live off the state – and the majority of which would refuse to integrate — that’s integrate into a society that they believe their god would not approve of. This pattern is dittoed across Europe.

    In the business model Muslim populations provide a good source of man power – [never mind the fact that like the Turks they might not be needed in the future and will sit 70-80% unutilized.] – but current models project those people will be needed. And these plentiful people have an attachment to a non-integrating Islam.

    The solution therefore is to bring European society in line with Islam.

    The problem for the business leaders – and their social engineering projections – is that Europe’s a democracy.

    ::

    No one gets it all!

    Though what business cries of most is uncertainty – perhaps – the emergent politics in Europe can offer them that – just so long as they understand that the old model is dead.

    For this purpose – when describing the people of Europe – they will remove ‘race’ and ‘hate’ from their lexicon.

  14. Ginger says

    Keep remembering that of all the races and faiths which have settled in western countries and have bettered their lives, it’s only the Muslims who remain in their third world mindset, refuse to better their lives and glory in their own hell, whilst lapping up first world privileges and consumerism, and hating those who have made it possible.

    A bit offtopic, but I’ll post this here because it’s one of the most recent threads.

    I urge *everyone* here who is not French, and who is angry and disgusted by this latest mass murder of innocent Infidels by Muslims, to write to the French embassy in their respective countries.

    Tomorrow I will be buying a condolence card. I will write in it, and post it to the French embassy in Australia. I will express solidarity with France – with my fellow Infidels – and grief for the dead and condolences to the bereaved and good wishes for the recovery of the wounded. And when I speak of the attack I will make sure that the French know I am *angry* with the jihadis for *daring* to attack and commit mass murder in Paris, the city of lovers, the city of light and art and music and beauty and intellect; and when I speak of the attack, I will use the accurate language we learn to use here at Jihadwatch. I will call it what it is, and what Geert Wilders called it – an act of war, a classic jihad ghazi raid, exactly the same in intent and method – and bloody result – as the razzias that Muslim gangs conducted in Mumbai in November 2008 and at the Westgate Mall in Nairobi on 21 September 2013.

    Every one of us can do this sort of thing. Try to both *encourage* and *educate*. Give our fellow infidels in France some positive energy and some accurate information.

    Also: check out the in-country websites of the Alliance Francaise and similar bodies; there have already been some ‘solidarity’ and memorial events in various places, such as Martin Place in Australia. If you *can*, go along…but don’t light candles and lay wreaths. Strike up conversations, once the ceremony stuff is over. Tell people that it’s okay and *healthy* to be ANGRY, that part of grieving involves *anger*, and that when murder has been committed, it’s appropriate to be angry at the murderers; and further, that it’s healthy to feel angry that one of the greatest and most beautiful cities in the Western world has now seen *another* mass-murderous razzia carried out by Muslims. By Muslims who are working toward the achievement of Mohammed’s 1400-year-old dream of a global sharia despotism; of wiping out absolutely everything everywhere that is not-Islam. As Christopher Hitchens put it – “They demand the impossible – the cessation of all life in favour of prostration before a totalitarian vision.”

      The same is true of Wembly Stadium in London, the Angel of Independence Monument in Mexico City, the Christ the Redeemer statue in Rio de Janero–and perhaps most salient of all, the rebuilt World Trade Center in NYC.

    Is he any bit concerened about the tsunami of hatred that has just struck the infidels? Another one in a long line of tsunamis to smash into infidels.

    It’s a Muslim strategy to start the trouble than quickly play victim, with the dhimmis in full support

    If there is a high level of resentment, it is understandable. Muslims with their incessant demands, ingratitude, open hatred of host countries and whinging had already tested the limits of patience. Now this murderous rampage to appease Allah. Enough is enough.

    How stupid Americans an be is shown here by the dolts of MSNBC!!

    There is no "tsunami of hatred" here or in France but there certainly is tsunami of lies by the lefty libtards in US and elsewhere about imagined tsunami of hatred!! The jihadists have already scored a major victory by bringing their backward religion and culture to the western world, and the violence, dysfunction, anarchy and mayhem that is their way of life. The Islamists are on track turning once great and peaceful capitals into images of the hellholes they origionally emerged from. Islamists love spreading the misery. They can’t stand to see other countries flourishing while their own goes to the dogs. So they are dragging you down to their levels. It gives them great satisfaction to see your suffering and anguish. They revel in attacking the monuments, the infrastructure and other symbols of western power, progress and prosperity. Western countries starting to pay the costly price of letting in these inbred, backward savages in such large numbers. Not all Muslims can be blamed. Unfortunately there are enough of them breeding, harbouring and sheltering future jihadhists who hate you with a passion. You have your leaders to thank for leading you to the slaughter – literally.

    Typical left wing idiocy. Dickey discounts the direct statements of the muslim jihadists and focuses on the “threat” for division by the “right wing.” He theorizes that France (and all those under attack by muslim jihadists) ought not to take the bait and go fight ISIS in Syria because he claims “that’s what they want.” Seriously??? ISIS doesn’t want anyone to go there to decimate them – they want Westerners to cower in fear from the terrorism and refuse to fight. The cowardly leftists, like Dickey, have already surrendered – they don’t even have the courage to identify who the enemy actually is.

    MSNBC Frets ‘Tsunami of Hatred’ Will Meet French Muslims, Right Wing Will ‘Take Advantage

    I say we start calling this often touted backlash of “hatred” that it’s said to follow every muslim terrorist attack, with its description grownin in size with every iteration (wave of hatred, tsunami of hatred, I wonder what will be the next adjective?), Nessie – like the Loch Ness monster it’s often spoke of as if it were real but never actually seen.

    Gonna have to stop you right there, jackass. By the time you did that report we knew at least one of them had a Syrian passport and entered Europe as a “refugee”, so we know it’s true. Even if we didn’t knew it to be true, it was a possibility, a risk with very grim consequences – what’s wrong about taking precautions?

    Lying asses like Wilmouth shouldn’t be allowed to report the weather outside their homes, let alone opine on policies they know nothing about.

    May the tsunami of hatred be enormous, may it swell up and rise and rise and flow through the streets of the City of Light and every other other Western citiy and town and village. May it purify the earth of every particle of the evil known as Islam.

    He’s saying it as if acting on such an assumption is a bad thing. Let’s apply his logic to other scenarios:

    – Running with scissors can be dangerous.

    “I don’t think it is I’ll be surprised if turns out to be the case. But it doesn’t matter if it’s true or not, people will act on that assumption”

    – Taking candy from strangers can be dangerous.

    “I don’t think it is I’ll be surprised if turns out to be the case. But it doesn’t matter if it’s true or not, people will act on that assumption”

    – Crossing the street without looking can be dangerous.

    “I don’t think it is I’ll be surprised if turns out to be the case. But it doesn’t matter if it’s true or not, people will act on that assumption”

    – Using electric devices while being wet can be dangerous.

    “I don’t think it is I’ll be surprised if turns out to be the case. But it doesn’t matter if it’s true or not, people will act on that assumption”

    If one’s “logic” can be used to defend running with scissors, taking candy from strangers, crossing the street without looking or using electric devices while wet, I don’t think it should be allowed to defend policies that affect the safety of hundreds of million of people.

      Those with a brain not soaked in islam and its delusions, didn’t *assume* it was a moslim attack on non moslim…we all knew it was.

      To your list, I would add: sticking a screwdriver…or other metal tool…in an electrical outlet. That’s much the same as these guys trusting moslims to be honest and fight against terror…it fries the brain.

    The attack has some of the elements of Manson’s “Helter Skelter” attacks. For those who have never heard of the Helter Skelter attacks, Manson’s intent of the attacks was to trigger a race war. Manson thought the Whites were to soft to win the war and that he and his followers would form the new white race.

    The intent could be to trigger a civil war between Muslims and the French. The belief among the Muslims is that they will win that war because the French are in decline. In their belief, just as in World War II, the French aren’t really prepared to do everything necessary to win and will eventually capitulate rather than give up their luxuries.

    Strange that “Tsunami” has been mentioned. Super-wealthy George Soros and Teresa Heinz (AKA Mrs. John Kerry) established a foundation some time ago named “Tides Foundation.” After the 9/11 World Trade Center attack, the “Tides Foundation” established a fund to help fight backlash discrimination against gay Muslims. Like that was a real problem? I know of no instance of this. However, I do know of occasions when Muslims threw gays off buildings and if they didn’t die, they were stoned to death on the ground where they lay. I haven’t heard that the “Tides Foundation” established a fund to combat this atrocity.

    Any one who thinks that the “Right-Wing” could do anything to compare to the Paris atrocity will have to give me some examples of it. Of course there are no such examples, unless one considers the Oklahoma City bombing, many years ago, to be an example.

    “Poor little Dickeybird.” He has fallen down the rabbit hole of his own imagination where up is down and black is white and Muslims are not a threat.

  28. Sarita says

    Nov 15, 2015 at 11:38 am

    If there is a problem, and that problem is causing death, it must be addressed. The EU, the UN and European leaders are willing to sacrifice native citizens of their countries to this problem they caused by continuously allowing Muslim males (and less females, since most of the ones marching into these countries are males) into their countries. Of course, the EU leaders, the UN leaders and the European leaders live behind gated communities and homes, walk surrounded by bodyguards, and live in a safety that the rest of Europeans do not enjoy. It is criminal to subject European citizens to slaughter.

    I understand that the EU, the UN and European leaders are continuing to protect Muslims, as Mr. Obama is, by censoring the names where possible, refusing to close borders, and (most heinous of all), claiming AFTER an Islamic slaughter of innocents, that Muslims will now be subjected to “Islamophobia” – their favorite new word. What an insult to the dead, to be worried about Islamophobia, and not about Muslims massacring their people.

    What these leaders will end up causing through their behaviors IS Islamophobia.

    A tsunami of hatred? Well, I have some suggestions:
    1. Stop being terrorists;
    2. Stop defending terrorism;
    3. ASSIMILATE. You were not allowed in to set up Shariah in our countries. You were allowed in to ASSIMILATE;
    4. Go back to your own countries and fight and defeat terrorism;
    5. Stop funding terrorism;
    6. Stop demanding the world cater to you. Cater to the world;
    7. Stop providing excuses;
    8. Stop whining about Islamophobia even before there is any Islamophobia.

    That would be a start.

    I remember Michael Bloomberg saying, with tears in his eyes, how terrible it would be if the Muslims were prevented from building their victory mosque right next to the remains of the World Trade Center. Obama, Merkel, Cameron, Trudeau and Hollande (Until Friday night) –all value Muslims more than the safety of their own people. How can they betray their own countries? There must be some really big payoffs going on.

  32. Kenneth Kelly says

    After the attacks on the Charlie Hebdo office and the Jewish owned supermarket last January similar fears were expressed of a non-existent tsunami of hate and terror directed against the muslim population of France.. It did not materialize then nor is it likely to do so now.
    What is becoming increasingly apparent is that the majority of Muslims in Europe hold views irreconcilable with the principles of liberal democracy especially in the fields of religious freedom, women’s rights and sexual freedom. Things cannot go on as they are now. Unfortunately we in Europe are ill served by our ruling political masters.

    They were hitting the softest possible targets. They were hitting targets where there were going to be a lot of young people. In fact, a lot of young working class people, a lot of the Muslims. We don’t know how many have been killed, but I would bet you that a lot of the victims were in fact people from North African and African backgrounds.

    The above if from the article. NOW, it is my understanding THAT MUSLIMS ARE AGAINST MUSIC-SO WHY THE HELL WOULD MUSLIM YOUTHS BE AT A ROCK CONCERT? OR A CAMBODIAN RESTAURANT? Soccer game–maybe. But, I would doubt it.

    And, by North Africa, isn’t he referring to ( the former ) French North Africa-Algeria, Morocco & Tunisia- where many people (I use the term loosely) from there are now living in Paris? And, if so, I again ask- why would they be at a rock concert or a Cambodian restaurant? And also, these people are supposedly poor, and live in poverty. Where are or would they be getting money for these? ( I know, welfare; stealing; mugging) ( rhetorical question)..

    I think these writers should be forced to take some of these pieces of animal sh-t and have them live with them. (IE. Muslims live with their liberal protectors, who think Muslims can do no wrong). And also those in Britain; the US and elsewhere.

    I certainly hope so! If having your people slaughtered isn’t reason enough. How stupid can you be? I got to see several examples.
    1. Hollande, actually knew of these terrorist sites all along, and didn’t destroy them untill after the attack?
    2. I listened to the interview of a French woman, who actually believed that “this is just between the terrorists and the police! Why should this involve the regular citizens?”
    3. Obozo again “redoubleing our efforts to confront isis/isil’
    4. How can so many libtards actually discuss the increasing “islamophobia” following the murder of the 120+ Frenchmen by mudslime terrorists?

    What is evil will remain evil. It is unfortunate the west is now learning a bitter lesson after countless examples demonstrate that a Muslim will always remain a Muslim and violent. The west should continue to tolerate and harbour them at their own peril. This is my African point of view.
