In this special edition of The Glazov Gang, I was joined by Stephen Coughlin, the co-founder of UnconstrainedAnalytics.org and the author of the new book, Catastrophic Failure.
He came on the show to discuss his book and How American Leadership is Blindfolding America in the Face of Jihad.
Don’t miss it!

I have a couple of comments if I may.
The kindle edition of “Catastrophic Failure” sells for $6. It’s hard to get a better deal than that.

There was a memo on official White House stationary in October 2011, directing that security trainers such as Stephen Coughlin, who taught the connections between Muslim doctrine and terror, should no longer be employed as trainers. Further, those security people, including FBI officials, National Security Agency, and military intelligence, who had already attended seminars by Coughlin, Robert Spencer and other experts on Islam, should be sent to “re-education” classes, where they would unlearn the connection between Islam and subversion.
The memo was signed by John Brennan, who is now the director of the CIA.
I was a bit surprised to find out from Glazov’s interview with Coughlin, that it was Condoleezza Rice, Secretary of State under George W Bush, who decided in 2007 to work through the Muslim Brotherhood to encourage moderate Islam. But, the people at Jihad Watch understand perfectly well that blindness to the dangers of Islamic subversion, peaceful and otherwise, is as pervasive among the Republican establishment as among the Democrats.
The Obama administration has plans to bring in 175,000 Syrian Muslims as refugees in the next two years. The presence of these Muslims will lend great political power to groups supporting the suppression of information on the connection between Muslim doctrine and terror and subversion.

Influence in Washington takes many forms. For example, meeting and befriending a real Saudi King with unlimited power in his kingdom would be a big event for anyone including our past and present Presidents (even Slick Willie). Bush held the Kings hand as he walked and visited with him. Slick Willie mentioned how he really liked the King’s setup. Obama bowed to his majesty. A Saudi King is the ultimate lobbyist in Washington. He can bestow riches on anyone he chooses (and riches is what they want in Washington).
Surely if the king flatly stated that Islam is a “Religion of Peace”, his bold statement would echo throughout the halls of Washington and our geniuses there would all agree. They would also think that the Muslim Brotherhood is a nice group of peace loving people.
They would conclude in their genius minds that “we the people” are the problem. “We the people” would be classified as “Extremists”. Robert, or any government official who stands with “We the People” would be their targets and need to get their minds straight. They might even set up “special training” camps to get their minds straight about this “Religion of Peace”. The Saudi King might think this is a bit too humane but he would reluctantly agree. (Given his choice the Saudi King would cut off our f—ing heads.)

Right? One of the reasons I embraced the e-book platform.

The baleful influence of the Foreign Affairs piece by Robert S. Leiken and Steven Brooke in early 2007 called “The Moderate Muslim Brotherhood” reached across party lines. Bad ideas have consequences when they become policy– based on nothing but smoke and mirrors, self delusion, and in some cases personal corruption. When the Muslim Brotherhood should have been outlawed in this country instead of honored and feted and partnered with.
The House of Saud for generations turned U.S. politicians and VIPs into well paid lobbyists. Just picture Colin Powell playing sets of tennis with his good pal Prince Bandar, who gave Powell’s wife a brand new Jaguar as a gift. Or think of the speaking fees a Clinton or a Bush or a Powell got just to give a friendly lecture “over there” (or even think of the hapless Carter shilling for the BBCI around the world). They always had an ear in Washington, even with the “interruption” in public relations caused by 9/11. The ascendance of Islamophile individuals like Brennan and Obama to high positions is the
culmination of a zeitgeist, not so different from what propelled Europe into Eurabia. Should Mrs. Clinton become POTUS the Muslim Brotherhood/Sisterhood will no doubt be sleeping in the Lincoln bedroom.
It’s up to us to see that their day is over.

This is major news that would be of keen public interest, and it’s not classified information. Why is it no Republican candidate has brought this up? I understand that Chris Christie is big on the pro-Moslem bandwagon, and that former candidate Rick Perry is also a Moslem booster, but what about Trump or Cruz? Or maybe Dr Ben Carson MD, he dabbled his toe in the pool of truth, maybe he’d like to dive in.

Stephen Coughlin is the most credible analyst on Islamic legal code of sharia law and it’s doctrine of warefare. He has taken the best sources of doctrine that forms Islam and studied the words and ideology that forms the jihad on mankind. How many could do such a thorough examination, so good was he at this that it caught the attention of our enemy and the plan was hatched to discredit him from his work. I have been listening to him thru his many videos…almost daily…whatever I could find.
Along with the work of John Guandolo and the study of the Muslim Brotherhood, we could have had a different history. However, the men in suits needed to prevent this dissemination of information made it a goal to deceive authorities with the use of peaceful verses, ignoring the verses of jihad (warefare terror) from being understood, by implementing the law of slander, and religious freedom. What other forces at work to deny the reality of his work will change history and hope it is not too late.

Excellent work Jamie and Steven and I welcome the return of reason under either Trump, Carson or Cruz where undoubtedly Steven will be the primary building block. In the meantime might you 2 august gentlemen begin providing names ‘we the people’ need to be wary of; and I mean names other than the obvious suspects Brennan/Abedin/Elberry/etc?
I’m aware there is a coterie of them in DHS/NSA/FBI/CIA and others planted in various ‘intelligence’ organizations but start identifying them by name.

His truth is marching on.

The most important thing from Coughlin in this interview was that American officials are trained to think of Islam as an abstraction. Dealing with an abstraction lets one put select features on it, and leave off others. A fuzzy idea is easier to deal with conceptually and textually. As he points out, the nasty catch to all this is that sooner or later an abstraction about a group of people takes the form of the people in place of the abstraction. Replacing the warm fuzzy of ROP tiny minority hijacked misunderstood one of the world’s great religions one of the 3 Abrahamics etc. with hairy angry armed Moslems will be a very nasty trade to have to make, very costly and dangerous.

I’m mostly quite impressed with Stephen Coughlin — his lucid grasp of the problem of the Muslim Brotherhood and other jihadist ideology; his professional, mature presentation; his attention to detail & facts. However, it’s a bit discomfitting to hear him describe how he partnered with people in the Egyptian government and social leaders in Egypt, apparently assuming that because they oppose the Muslim Brotherhood, they are not our enemy. That’s a serious lacuna in his otherwise eagle-eyed application of the Art of War dictum “Know Thine Enemy”.

Well, every country has its own interests. You have to deal with alliances on the basis of tactical mutual objectives.
There is voluminous evidence that the Muslim Brotherhood has penetrated the US government, as well as the Republican Party, at the highest levels. The Muslim Brotherhood was viewed as a threat to the Egyptian government during Mubarak, and currently under Sissi. It just makes sense that there is an exchange of information between Coughlin and anti-Muslim Brotherhood Egyptian officials. The US government has largely withdrawn its support of the Egyptian government anyway, for the reason that the Egyptian government took such strong measures against the Muslim Brotherhood. So, the exchange of information is on the intellectual level, and not an attempt to pry more money out of the US.
Tactical alliances on the basis of limited shared interests are a most valuable tool achieving worthwhile objectives. Egypt has proven to be helpful to the US as well as to Israel. There is no reason to not exchange views.

Muslim countries are not “every country”. They are all uniquely inimical to us. Haven’t you been reading the dozens of posts by Raymond Ibrahim indicating that the “New Post-Morsi Egypt” is just the Same Old Same Old Islam?
