Jihad Watch

Exposing the role that Islamic jihad theology and ideology play in the modern global conflicts

Putin: Turkish leadership purposefully supports Islamization of country

Nov 27, 2015 1:51 am By Ralph Sidway

Putin has also accused Erdogan of being an “accomplice of terrorists.” Hard to deny that.

Turkey’s rapid re-Islamization under Erdogan has been documented by Robert Spencer here at Jihad Watch for a decade or more now. For Putin to target Turkey’s Islamist shift demonstrates yet again the Russian leader’s clarity and toughness, as juxtaposed with the West’s politically correct myopia and ineptitude.

Think back to June 2013, when Putin blasted Obama and Cameron for supporting so-called “moderates” in Syria, who were shown on video eating the organs of their slain enemies. Or his equally strong rejection of Western military intervention in Syria. Or his call to the West to unite in defending persecuted Christians in the Middle East and Africa. And of course his recent UN address, when he castigated the Western leaders responsible for the rise of ISIS and the refugee crisis, shaming them with the question, “Do you realize what you have done?”

For those who might be concerned, based on his remarks below that Islam is “a great world religion,” that Putin is becoming soft on the jihad threat, recall that Putin does not hesitate to employ decisive use of power when required to shut down the Islamic threat. A prime example is the rounding up of 300 Muslim jihadists at a prayer meeting in 2013. Can you imagine anything like that happening in America? Certainly not under the current administration.

Turkey’s downing of a Russian fighter jet — which at least one analyst believes was premeditated  — locks it squarely in Russia’s crosshairs, and its rapid re-Islamization only makes the bullseye even larger.

“Putin: Turkish Leadership purposefully supports Islamization of Country,” TASS via Pravoslavie, November 25, 2015:

Russian President Vladimir Putin has said that the current leadership of Turkey purposefully supports the country’s Islamization. “The problem is not in the tragedy we faced yesterday (the Su-24 incident), the problem is much deeper,” the Russian leader told reporters. “We see — and not only we, I assure you that the entire world sees that — that the current leadership of Turkey has been for a number of years pursuing a purposeful policy of support and the Islamization of the country.”

Putin noted that Islam was a great world religion, which was one of the traditional religions, including in Russia. “We ourselves support Islam and will continue doing so, but the point at issue is the support of a more radical branch. And that in itself creates a very unfavorable environment, the atmosphere that one cannot see at first sight,” Putin said.

Russian nationals staying in Turkey may be facing serious danger, the Russian president warned.

“After yesterday’s event, we cannot rule out other incidents and if they happen, we will have to respond somehow. Our citizens in Turkey can, certainly, be in serious danger,” Putin said, adding that he supported Foreign Ministry recommendations urging Russians not to visit Turkey.

“After such tragic events as the downing of our plane and the pilot’s death, this is a forced measure and the Foreign Ministry is right to warn our nationals of the dangers,” Putin said.

Putin’s words follow the downing of a Russian Su-24 bomber by a Turkish F-16 fighter jet on Tuesday morning. Ankara claims the Russian warplane had violated Turkey’s air space while the Russian Defence Ministry says the Su-24 was flying above Syria.

Both pilots ejected but one was killed by gunfire from the ground. The other was rescued by Russian and Syrian forces and brought to Russia’s air base in the area.

Russia’s Federal Tourism Agency has asked the country’s tour operators to suspend selling holiday packages to Turkey. Some 10,000 Russian vacationers are currently there.

The other notable comment from Putin yesterday was him accusing Turkey of profiting and trading ISIS oil and generally providing ISIS with an economic lifeline. All perfectly correct, those 1,000 oil tankers the Russians have destroyed recently, transported oil from Syria into Turkey under the noses of Turkish officials, who no doubt clipped the ticket on the way through. Erdogan’s dirty little secret is now in the spot light. Unmentioned by Western powers fearful of upsetting the “coalition”. The Turks were quite happy to see ISIS take over Syria as long as Assad was out of the way and they got their Kurd free buffer state on their southern border.

Easily traced by destination of tankers leaving Ceyhan port.

That’s the appeal of Putin in the Western world. The longing for leadership that at last places its owen citizens in the center of their concerns rather than foreign interest.

No matter where you stand – Merkel, Cameron, Obama are plainly sick and perverted minds contrary to anything the Western world stood for.

Human rights ? Yeah. only when it helps promoting the reigion of “peace” and curtailing the freedom of the citizens. When France anounced that it would suspend humans rights (temporarily) I wasn’t neither shocked not disappointed.

The civilized western world does not need formal HR agreements them because it’s built in their institutions and practiced anyway. For the time being…

The Western leaders knew that Turkey is supplying money, weapons, manpower n all kind of goods to ISIS to sustain it for so long n buying its stolen oil. Yet they say nothing. Only Putin pointed this out. Obama refuses to bomb ISIS oil tankers.

By now, everyone with half a brain knows US / Israel / Saudi sponsored ISIS, as well as Al-Qaeda, Al-Nusra and FSA, all ‘proxies’ to do what they couldn’t do ‘legitimately’!
To try and hide this fact,Obama describes them as ‘moderates’, well, if the opposition to Democrats and Republicans, or Labour and Tories, had weapons, would they still call them ‘moderates’?
The Paris attack allowed France & Belgium to implement Martial Law, something the US and UK are both also trying to achieve, it wont be long coming, as their NWO is to get announced in Paris next month, and the French lock-down stops protesters.

“That’s the appeal of Putin in the Western world. The longing for leadership that at last places its owen citizens in the center of their concerns rather than foreign interest.”

That’s pretty much it. In my case, to be a bit clearer, I don’t particularily like the man, and think that he is an authoritarian on the way to being a dictator, BUT he isn’t INSANE unlike a lot of Western leaders. On Turkey/ISIS, he is right, and we should support him.

Hollande seems to have woken up, to a degree. But it won’t last.

When I look at Western leaders, the least bad overall these days is probably Netanyahu, bombastic as he is. He might not always be right and we might not always agree with how he does it, but he does try to put his country’s interests, as he sees them, first.

A prize for this to Eastern European leaders, as well, who often show that the students (of democracy) have surpassed their masters, nowadays.

” I don’t particularily like the man, and think that he is an authoritarian on the way to being a dictator,”
Where do you get this information? He rules his country no different, in fact I’d say less dictatorial than we in UK or the US. Russia, like any other nation, has laws, the only problem with US, UK is they also have PC, a tool to control and close down debate. Russia doesn’t employ PC, neither do any of the BRICS nations.
We are being fed BS by our media and Politicians, pure propaganda, in their attempt to discredit the nation. Go back to 1990,when he first took over, US thought he was the best thing since sliced bread for Russia, but they didn’t know he was going to take BACK all Russian commodities and minerals stolen by the west, when they made the old USSR bankrupt.
As soon as Putin exposed them first in a UN meeting, then again proving US complicity in arming Syrian rebels from Benghazi and again for supplying rebels with Sarin gas, then blaming Assad, when he annexed Crimea, they used this as an excuse to throw him out of G8.
I don’t think he’s looked back. One more thing, notice how the stupid sod has surrounded himself with NATO missiles?

Obama’s status quo Foreign Policy edict is not to offend Arab Countries as ISIL plows through laws initiated by 6th Century ideology. Civilized, used loosely, Muslims care not to seem involved themselves as the killing fields multiply. Turkey is like the Obama rhetoric, projecting a 2-faced stance of its own brethren. It’s the same with other Islamic leaders, turning blind-eyed not to offend as the money rolls in. The masses are starving, loosing their families, and running from an enemy not nding this “safe thwarted inside their birthplace. No small wonder why Muslims are confused with a belief system taught to kill the unfaithful.

Human Rights are only found and exercised in Western cultures. Finding this “Safe Haven”, a small percentage continue the inbred belief of killing the infidels. It is ridiculous to understand how billions of dollars were spent to keep this daunting threat out of America while a Muslim sympathizer President opens the door. It’s just ludicrous.

I notice that many news outlets, will talk about Putin as a threat, never allowing his words and video to be heard. I found most of those comments on RT news. (It took me awhile to get that is was Russia Today) but listening I found myself agreeing with his words, but all the time wary, due to “cold war” history, but it all seems sensible and I am aware that he knows the enemy. I think he has more respect for human life.

The exposure of the doctrine of the enemy would keep it at bay, unless a leader would open a door to “promote the islamizatiion of his country. This is accomplished thru deception and migration termed as “refugees” victims with cash and an invitation preceded by years of university, government collusion or subversion, to provide for the diversity driven election.

They don’t go around bombing random people shouting “All Hail Marx” or the like. Also, it’s impossible to keep a large population sincerely believing in communism. It doesn’t last. Treeman, Robert Spencer has *never* described Vladimir Putin as “some clear thinking hero of civilisation”–he just says, rightly, that he is correct in his estimation of the situation in Turkey.

I am no fan of the autocratic Putin myself. Nor is he the anti-Jihad crusader some hope; he has enabled a nuclear Iran and done nothing over Chechnya’s becoming a full Shari’ah state.

That being said, he has also been more upfront in opposing Jihad on many fronts than have many world leaders, including those in the West. One need not agree with him on everything–or even much at all–to recognize that.

Erdogan is completely delusional. He recently said that Muslims were to first on the moon, not the Americans.

“It is alleged that the first man to walk on the moon was Neil Armstrong in 1969,” Erdoğan said. “In fact, Muslim space explorers reached our satellite 334 years before that, in 1635. Everyone knows the story of the famous aviator, Lagâri Hasan Çelebi, the “Ottoman Rocket Man”, who made the first successful manned rocket flight in 1633.”

How can this Muslim fundamentalist be dealt with rationally? He can’t.

Turks, A.K.A. Ottomans were bloodthirsty savages in the Balkans as well. They impaled their enemies on poles and left them there for days to die a horrible death. Vlad “the impaler” did the same when Ottomans were getting close but he is the only non Muslim who did that.
They had some horrible ways to torture prisoners. They forced conversions to Islam, took children away and trained them to fight against their parents. Today they have not changed and would do it all over again if given the chance.
So why doesn’t RSL stop this march on Anzac day? Why do they allow them to have a clean record now?

Yes,and in this dangerous world Western politicians need to be pragmatic. Putin’s motivation and objectives will not often coincide with those of the West’s but sometimes they will. Putin will not join Hollande’s grand coalition because his aims in Syria are different. Firstly he wants to win the war in Syria for his client Assad. Next he wants to secure Russian influence and access to military bases. If that means he has to crush ISIS to achieve that he will do it. And at that point, Putin and the West are singing from the same page. Islamization is a concern of Putin mainly in as far as it could infest the Russian muslim community. So equally he will hit Jihadists with connections to Russia.

‘That the Turks took a shot at the Russian jet within that limited window means they were clearly waiting for such an opportunity.’

”When fighting Islamic terrorists or Muslim countries, failure is not an option because death by mutilation is a given. During the 1999 Kargil War, two Indian Air Force fighters who bailed out over the Indian state of Kashmir were tortured to death by their Pakistani Army captors. The bodies of the pilots were later recovered – with eyes gouged out and kneecaps broken.”

“… the point at issue is the support of a more radical branch [of Islam]. And that in itself creates a very unfavorable environment, the atmosphere that one cannot see at first sight,” Putin said…”

Contrast that statement with the nonsense we repeatedly get from numerous North American and West European leaders that ” the current wave of terrorism around the world has nothing to do with Islam”.

Thanks Ralph, you’ve put it very well. we are suffering from an extreme form of Myopia brought about by the adoption of some rigid, faulty and extremely dangerous assumptions concerning diverse traditional social institutions that totally glosses over aspects of coercion and violence.

Islam has always been a highly proselytizing and supremacist movement, which in it’s wide awake and radical manifestation, creates the type of great terror and instability we are currently experiencing.

With a Muslim population that constitutes a considerably higher percentage of its population than in France, The Netherlands or the U.K., the Russian Federation cannot afford to maintain the fantasy that Islam is somehow a neutral entity within the current apocalypse which takes every opportunity to remind us of its pure Islamic credentials.

ERDOGAN AND THE ISLAMIZATION OF SYRIA

Erdogan (emboldened by Turkey’s membership in NATO) ordered (without warning) the destruction of the Russian warplane Tuesday not because it entered Turkish airspace (for 17 seconds), but because Putin is using his bombers to decimate Syria’s pro-Turkey rebels who want to replace Assad’s secular government with an Islamic regime.

Jihadism is not a “branch” of Islam as Putin said – it’s the core and heart of Islam and always has been. Jihadism is Islam and Islam is jihadism.

Putin has never been on the Christmas card list of any sane people but in this case he functions as a welcome, temporary ally in cleaning up ISIS which Obama pretended to fight. Obama’s filthy hand has been in the mess from the outset. He wanted his Muslim Brotherhood to take Syria as they took Egypt.

The Egyptians quickly recovered and dumped the Brotherhood as America should have dumped Obama. In Syria, Obama’s plan couldn’t get off the ground. The opposition was too powerful and entrenched, but his stealthy support of the dissidents led to the formation of ISIS. In the gathering of Hellions of Hades, the biggest horns still belong to Obama.

Now Erdogan, who has his own plans for an expanded caliphate and is as sneaky as Obama but backed by weaker resources, would never have fired on a Russian plan without encouragement or orders from Obama who is more upset and frustrated by Putin’s entrance than perhaps the Jihadists he is bombing.

Obama had Erdogan run to NATO immediately in the hope of perhaps starting a conflict between NATO and Russia. It was a Russian who assassinated Kennedy and they have been frighteningly effective in tracking and eliminating their enemies outside of their country. Obama better double up on security staff.

Who needs Hollywood while this show is running?

      What a bizarre script
      Islamist Turkey in NATO
A (covert Muslim) American president who has more communist friends than the leader of Russia.
God bless Putin. He may not be perfect but is way better than Obo against the carpet kissers.

Imagine if the US had a Muslim Canada on its border that was aided and abetted by Russia. That is the scenario that Putin faces with Muslim Obama and NATO Turkey.
I don’t care what Obama and the dhimmified EU has to say, I applaud Putin for protecting Russian Christians and Jews in the Crimea and Ukraine from Turkey sponsored terrorists and their collaborating allies.

I must admit I had a boyish glee in reading about Putin’s announcements this morning in the paper.

Erdogan is one the biggest threats to the Western World–absolutely no reason why we should not imagine ISIS and their ilk actually doing the early work for Erdogan’s strategy.

That being said, it would be horrible if Obama and NATO decided to double down on Erdogan’s side.

That is the danger. We probably want a secular Turkey as a ally without Erdogan and his Islamist ,movement.

Why don’t we hear more about the activities of the Wahhabis in the Mideast? The Saudi Arabians seem to be implicated in terrorism over and over again. Since the ruling elite is rich beyond belief, just about any of them with radical ideas can have a huge impact with large donations to Jihadis. How must the Russians feel about this cash stream going unchecked and all the evidence of American collusion in the Benghazi affair.

I am originally from Turkey and I was there in July. Talking to elite there is like talking to liberals in America who hate America. The rest which is majority are in favor of sunni Islam which is Isis. The Kurds who hate Turks are either communists or Sunni muslims. With Erdogan or not Turks are not our allies. In fact we have no friends in Middle east except Israel and few Christians left soon to be exterminated.
