Shoot.
And you will shoot.
The point being that, the verses calling for the killing of non-believers is only half of the entire picture. The other half, and probably the more crucial part is the rest of the quran developing and fomenting hatred for non-believers in muslims.
When muslims are taught to detest throughout the book, just a few verses saying kill them is more than sufficient. The groundwork was laid with the extensive hate incitement in the rest of the book, through numerous stories, parables, analogies, exclamations, lessons, morals et al.
Animosity toward everyone who is not a muslim is the central message. The belief that non-muslims are filthy, evil, wrong, corrupt, inferior, and that muslims are righteous, pure, superior and noble is the idea that is implanted in the subconscious mind of the muslim, that facilitates the dehumanization of non-muslims and acts as the impetus of animosity, giving rise to an active desire to subdue, overthrow, or eliminate.
This I believe is the theological dynamics of jihad.
PS – 64% of the quran is devoted to non-muslims. 81% of sira deals with muhammad’s struggle with non-muslims. With hadith, overall 60% of the islamic scripture is dedicated to non-muslims.

Many scholars now believe that the ‘original’ religion of Mohammed was an heretical version of Gnostic Christianity judging from the very high praise of Jesus in the Koran using New Testament words like ‘Word of God’. In addition, the Koran’s Jesus is much better than Mohammed. In the Koran, Jesus was born miraculously of a virgin. Mohammed’s father was dead THREE YEARS BEFORE Mohammed’s birth! Jesus ascended into heaven in the Koran, but Mohammed was poisoned and was buried under his bed in the dead of the night…likely assassinated by his friends. Jesus’ miracles are praised in the Koran. Mohammed did no miracle and made zero prophecies.

Mortimer:
Islam’s take on Jesus is a hash of (1) Gnostic teachings, such as Jesus’ not dying on the cross, but having a simulacrum or substitute put in his place; (2) Arianism, or something even lesser, in which Jesus is only a created being, although Islam does not seem to elevate him to Arianism’s position of “firstborn”; (3) bits and pieces picked up from post-biblical lore, such as Jesus speaking from the womb (Portevangelion of James); (4) Muhammad’s own naive synthesis of these varied bits and pieces (perhaps his own idea that a prophet should not be killed by his enemies, not Gnosticism, accounts for his denial of Jesus’ crucifixion).
Robert has underscored that Jihadism grows out of a large doctrinal substructure in unvarnished, unmodified Islam. By the same token, the fundamental doctrines of Christianity support a vast ethical structure for seeking the benefit of neighbors both inside and outside the believing community, and a rationale for peace-seeking. This is why I often refer to myself as a small-p pacifist (which I think every true Christian–including those in their countries’ uniforms–is, to some extent).
Here I would like to remind some other visitors and posters here who are bothered by my small-p pacifism that such a stance does not preclude the state’s waging a just war on occasion, nor does it preclude a Christian’s participation therein. I have long been praying for peace on earth, but at present (and I may be wrong, for I do not claim any prophetic gift), it seems that the avenues towards peace and moderation are being closed off. Perhaps the world is sliding into an inescapable violent war between civilizations; one of which has long been in the process of self-destruction. This is perhaps the sword of which Jesus spoke of bringing on the earth in Matthew 10:34 If so, God’s will rather than Uncle Kepha’s be done.
Our English “crisis”, such as we are in, comes from the Greek word for “judgment”. The point where the nations of the world are now suggests that God truly is entering into judgment with his servants, a large-scale “severe mercy”, but on the social and international level rather than the personal one of which C.S. Lewis’ friend Sheldon Vanauken wrote. I honestly believe that in these perilous times, we in the West are being asked anew what we will do with Jesus of Nazareth, called Christ–the one to whom judgment in Heaven and on Earth has been given.

The Koran is at least two separate documents hastily joined together under the Caliphate of Abd al Malik.
An mysterious Gnostic source document was contradicted by newer materials creating a word of Allah in which Allah expresses two distinct and contradictory ideas on almost everything, including the identity of Jesus and on the salvation of Christians. Jesus has divine characteristics in the Koran of Mecca, but the Koran of Medina says he was not divine, contradicting the first Koran.
The assembling committee of the Koran concocted it in a hurry without proper editing to defend it from later criticism.
The main theological difference is that Jehovah and Allah are significantly different. Jehovah uses unitary logic and Jesus is the ‘Logos’…the logical, rational word of God. The New Testament emphasizes the Golden Rule as the guide of all conduct between humans.
In contrast, Allah is absolute will. There is, therefore, no logic or reason in Allah’s commands. Allah contradicts himself and both sides of the contradiction remain valid, giving Muslims flexible ethics. The Golden Rule is absent from Islam, but for public relations purposes, Muslims pretend the Golden Rule is in Islam.

Robert here is an excerpt from Baha’u’llah’s Book of Certitude written in two days and nights in Baghdad which discusses the meaning if the charge against Jews and Christians by Muhammad of perverting the texts.
Baha’u’llah agrees with your view that the verses weren’t effaced from the Holy Books but explains the reason both Jews, Christains and now Muslims have been accused of perverting their own texts.
“Verily by “perverting” the text is not meant that which these foolish and abject souls have fancied, even as some maintain that Jewish and Christian divines have effaced from the Book such verses as extol and magnify the countenance of Muhammad, and instead thereof have inserted the contrary. How utterly vain and false are these words! Can a man who believeth in a book, and deemeth it to be inspired by God, mutilate it? Moreover, the Pentateuch had been spread over the surface of the earth, and was not confined to Mecca and Medina, so that they could privily corrupt and pervert its text. Nay, rather, by corruption of the text is meant that in which all Muslim divines are engaged today, that “is the interpretation of God’s holy Book in accordance with their idle imaginings and vain desires. And as the Jews, in the time of Muhammad, interpreted those verses of the Pentateuch, that referred to His Manifestation, after their own fancy, and refused to be satisfied with His holy utterance, the charge of “perverting” the text was therefore pronounced against them. Likewise, it is clear, how in this day, the people of the Qur’án have perverted the text of God’s holy Book, concerning the signs of the expected Manifestation, and interpreted it according to their inclination and desires.”

When do we admit that Saudi Arabia has bought with their cash petro-dollar investments the Western Establishment. Saudi Arabia IS radical Islam. They simply order their Western partners not to use the phrase “radical Islam.”
It is becoming embarrassing the extent to which we have been bought by Gulf money, shown by the affair of the “now you see it, now you don’t” report on the influence of the Muslim Brotherhood in Britain. This from a Telegraph account of a recent radio interview with Paddy Ashdown, former leader of the Liberal Democrats:
Lord Ashdown, speaking to BBC Radio 4’s Today programme, challenged the influence of Saudis over UK policy.
He said: “The failure to put pressure on the Gulf states and especially Saudi Arabia and Qatar, first of all to stop funding the Salafists and Wahhabists, secondly to play a larger part in this campaign and other actions where the government has refused to have a proper inquiry into the funding of jihadism in Britain leaves me to worry about the closeness between the Conservative party and rich Arab Gulf individuals.
“It is a serious charge but here are some facts for you. Some time ago the Prime Minister, I understand, in a single phonecall and almost off the top of his head agreed to fund an inquiry into the Muslim brotherhood on behalf of the Saudi royal family. That didn’t find what the Saudis wanted it to find, that the Muslim brotherhood is an extremist organisation. That report has never been published because it came to a conclusion unhelpful to the Saudis.
“Secondly, we have consistently pressed, and I hope now that the Prime Minister will agree to a proper inquiry into the funding of jihadism in Britain so let us wait and see what the outcome of this is.
“Certainly any plan put forward by the Prime Minister ought to include international pressure on Saudi Arabia, on Qatar and on other Gulf states to play their part.”
—————————————
The government response:
“Downing Street rejected the suggestion the Saudis and Qataris had exerted undue influence over the Government and said the report on the Muslim Brotherhood would be published before the end of the year.
We have had long relationships with these two countries. We have worked closely with them on a whole range of issues,” a No 10 spokesman said.
The strength of the relationship that we have means that nothing is off the table. We will go to them and talk to them about these issues.”
I would like to hear Robert Spencer take on explicitly the counter argument we often hear that all that warfare stuff was merely historically contextual, and the need for it lapsed after Islam was established. It seems nonsense to me, as shown by his successors’ wars, the mediaeval commentators and sharia but we hear it so often and I have no idea where its proponents get the idea from theologically.
It appears to me just a smokescreen to confuse the ignorant kaffir and I never see, or have never noticed, counter jihad people challenge the apologists to produce their scriptural justifications.

It appears to me just a smokescreen to confuse the ignorant kaffir and I never see, or have never noticed, counter jihad people challenge the apologists to produce their scriptural justifications.

This was a brilliant talk (I am not English so that is a word I don’t throw around a lot)… brought the “A Game ” to this one…
How much does it cost to buy time on a reasonably popular network or cable channel? Imagine the impact if this talk were widely viewed. Is it possible to get funding for such a purpose?
Certainly the conservatives running for President should see this. lf they could shoot down that ‘we are all Abrahamic ‘ nonsense it would be very powerful, Can it be brought to the attentions of Cruz, Carson and Trump?

Thank you Robert, this is the most informative and concise video on this subject I have seen so far. Keep up the good work, my prayers are with you. And I encourage people to support your web-site and the work you do.

Robert,
Thank you so much for the information and the truth you give us about Islam.
Your words are very sobering, but they give hope by cutting through the lies and misinformation we so often hear.
You are a champion of truth. I follow you, David Wood, Jamie Glasov, Pamela Geller and Nutnfancy only on Youtube—heroes all!

Saddam Hussein PROTECTED christians. He repaired their churches and protected them from Islamic violence.
Saddam Hussein was toppled by George Bush, and now christians in the Middle East are at the mercy of Islamic state. So how can anyone ever regard George Bush as a christian?

Great lecture. I’ve watched it twice. When I have more time I will watch it again and take notes this time. One of the most informative lectures about islam that I’ve ever seen.

The niqab issue (whether one should take the oath of Canada wearing a mask) alienated the muslim vote north of your border electing Justin Trudeau’s Liberals in a landslide. With your own election next year, I can’t imagine any candidate (Republican or Democrat) addressing the real problem, and whoever gets elected will be too busy thinking about getting re-elected. My question is: given the international threat of Islam, what can the average citizen do when our elected representatives are bent on nothing more than acquiring and retaining power?

i watched this video for a second time; it’s too bad it’s not part of the school curriculum.
I envy your courage.
