Exposing the role that Islamic jihad theology and ideology play in the modern global conflicts

Bethlehem: Muslims greet Latin Patriarch of Jerusalem with a hail of stones

Dec 27, 2015 9:58 am By Robert Spencer

Knowledgable Christians in the U.S. know that the sole person at fault here is Fouad Twal. Why was he poking Muslims in the eye and provoking them by daring to enter Bethlehem? Doesn’t he realize that to be a Christian, much less the Latin Patriarch of Jerusalem, in Bethlehem presents a continuing danger? He should apologize to Muslims for not showing sufficient “solidarity with Islam,” retreat to Jerusalem, and stay behind closed doors, lest he continue to offend Muslims.

Fouad Twal

“Latin Patriarch of Jerusalem greeted in Bethlehem by hail of stonesPA reportedly arrests 16 ‘Salafi radicals’ who were planning to carry out terror attack against tourists celebrating Christmas,” Times of Israel, December 25, 2015:

The car taking Latin Patriarch of Jerusalem Fouad Twal, head of the Catholic Church in the Holy Land, was struck Friday, Christmas Day, in Bethlehem by rocks thrown by Palestinian rioters.

None of the passengers in the patriarch’s vehicle was injured in the incident, but his car sustained damage, according to a Ynet news report.

Clashes between Israeli security forces and Palestinian demonstrators erupted following his departure from the city, known as the birthplace of Jesus, the news site said….

He also said Palestinian security forces arrested Wednesday about a dozen suspected radical Islamists in Bethlehem.

A report in the Palestinian Ma’an news agency put the number of detainees at 16. According to the report, the group are Salafi radicals who were preparing to carry out a terror attack against Western tourists arriving in Bethlehem to celebrate Christmas there.

The report did not identify the detainees as being affiliated with any known jihadist groups.

A report in the Hebrew-language daily Ma’ariv said that senior PA officials met in Bethlehem earlier this week in order to formulate a strategy against the threat posed by extremists to the Christian celebrations in the city.

At least four people are being held in detention without trial in Bethlehem and four others, supporters of Islamic State, were arrested elsewhere in the West Bank. It was not clear where eight other people were being held.

On Thursday night, PA President Mahmoud Abbas and the authority’s prime minister, Rami Hamdallah, participated in a midnight mass at Bethlehem’s Church of the Nativity, Ma’an reported.

In a statement released by his office before the visit, Abbas praised Palestinian Christians for their role in creating a “rich and diverse society.”

“This year, we witnessed more churches around the world supporting the call for recognition of the State of Palestine, and an increasing number of Christian groups campaigning to divest from companies that profit from the Israeli occupation of our land,” Abbas said.

The Christian Palestinian population dwindled significantly over the past years. Christians today make only 2 percent of the Palestinian population in the West Bank.

Good shepherds like Patriarch Fouad Twal lay down their life for the sheep. They do not surrender to the supremacists, the taqiyya artists or the death threats. Good shepherds learn about the jihad doctrine, the taqiyya doctrine, the misogyny doctrine and the apartheid doctrine of Islam. They are not tricked or fooled. They are insightful, well-read and prepared, rather than assuming, intellectually lazy and improvising as they go along with no preparation to fight the jihad WHATSOEVER.

The good Catholic Patriarch of Jerusalem could well receive a summons from Islam´s Trojan Horse in the Vatican and made to stand in a corner until he learns to correctly read and interpret the Koran.

Stone everything you fear and hate… honor killings, apostates, innocent men and women like Kabul’s Farkhunda, falsely accused of burning Koran, and tens of thousands of others…

In other words, destroy anything you hate.

And there are still boneheads who call this cult a “religion”?

Men cannot attain peace. We live in a fallen world. Gods plan did not include death and sickness. Sin created death and the prince of peace, the comforter, Messaih will come again but this time He comes with a sword.Scripture says He comes and rests on Mt Olives . He enters Jersulam through the East Gate. So much for Dome of the Rock

The Palestine Muslims are the epitome of uncivilized savages – like rabid dogs.

However, a rabid animal may display unprovoked aggressive behavior or be over-friendly. – See more at: https://rabiesalliance.org/rabies/what-is-rabies-and-frequently-asked-questions/pets-and-animals/#How can I tell if an animal has rabies?

Unprovoked aggressive behavior OR be overly-friendly ? Sounds like Muslims and rabid dogs have at least 2 critical things in common.

A bit OT I know, but: Listening to a well-known conservative talk radio host’s sub this week, I heard a late caller state the following, regarding “radical islamic terrorists”:
“…they’ve had this motivation since we supported Israel.”

The caller spoke of bombing ISIS, then followed with blaming American support of Israel for the existence of ‘radical terrorism’. I suspect a request for this caller’s comment to be addressed will go unacknowledged.

Of course, jihadi terrorism is provoked by unemloyment and lack of opportunities. So said Pope Francis in Keyna. However, these jihadis are shooting their fellow Arabs in the foot as an increase in teorrorism in the Holy Land will only scare away pilgrims and make many lose their jobs, especially Christians. The muslim suicide bombers´ families get lots of cash from Suadi Araba and Qatar.

If Moslem countries were such a boon to mankind, they’d be inundated with people striving to live in them. Instead, millions of Moslems want to leave.

If Islam is so great, why aren’t Moslem countries examples of faith, order, peace, justice, prosperity, knowledge…if such things ever existed in Moslem countries (count out the legend of al-Andalus), Islam itself destroyed them.

Islam is like a terrible parasite. It can exist by invading a healthy body and taking advantage of the host body, at least for a time. But by its practices of dhimmitude and the nasty social practices of Moslems, over time the body is weakened and eventually becomes pretty much all Moslem, to its detriment.

Praising the PA as an instrument of healthy “diversity” is a sign of serious mental illness.

I love how idiots make up more and more excuses for why mudslimes do what they do. it’s always the fault of ________. Whenever koranic verses are hinted at, the next thing you hear is “racist, dirty islamophobe, etc….”
The basic understanding is that it is every mudslime’d duty to attack, steal, enslave the unbeliever. Why does this simple point allways get over looked and left out?
What had the US done to mudslimes in 1781, when their pirates would attack our merchant ships in the Med? It’s the instructions in the koran! We need to keep saying this until it becomes the new mantra………

I might have been tempted to hail some stones at him, instead of a few Hail Marys.

    What a disgrace to Christianity.

Here is a quote about Fouad Twal.

Twal’s position on Israel and the Bible has been embraced at the highest levels in the Catholic Church.

The Vatican synod in 2010 declared that Israel cannot use the Biblical concept of a promised land or a chosen people.

“There is no longer a chosen people. The concept of the promised land cannot be used as a base for the justification of the return of Jews to Israel and the displacement of Palestinians.”

Backed by the Catholic clergy, for the first time in history the Palestinians asked the United Nations’ cultural body to register Bethlehem’s Church of the Nativity under the name of “Palestine.”

According to Omar Awadallah, who heads the UN department in the PA Foreign Ministry, “Jesus is the Palestinian prince of hope and peace and Christians all over the world want that church to be a World Heritage site.”

Who are these men – mere humans to challenge the Living God?

Calling Lovely Jewish Saviour Jesus Christ, Palestinian?

FILTHY. Evil. Satanic. Horrendous blasphemy against the Sinless, Pure, Holy, Precious Son of the Living God.

There is NO Palestine. There is ONLY the Jewish Land of Israel. And if JEWISH Jesus Christ had been born in our time period, Jesus and his family would be targeted for MURDER by the Islamo Fascists, for being JEWS living in their JEWISH homeland of Israel.

    • John Stefan Obeda says

People who reject Jesus to be the promised Messiah and their God and Saviour from their sins are NOT chosen, but people who put their trust in Jesus to be the promised Messiah and Saviour from sin and eternal damnation ARE the chosen ones, i.e. the holy Christian Church. Jews who reject Christ are not chosen, but the Gentiles and some Jews too who have faith in Jesus as their Saviour are chosen. This the Bible teaches.

“This year, we witnessed more churches around the world supporting the call for recognition of the State of Palestine, and an increasing number of Christian groups campaigning to divest from companies that profit from the Israeli occupation of our land,” Abbas said.

This is the reason the Jihadists were arrested. The PA desperately needs support from liberal Christian groups in the West in it’s political struggle with Israel. A terror attack on Christians in Bethlehem would upset the fiction of unity between Christians and muslims in PA territory against the common enemy; Israel. The PA needs Western Chrisitan support while at the same time oppressing their own Christian populations. But high profile terror attacks could ruin that game of smoke and mirrors.

These churches and ‘Christian’ groups are ENEMIES of God. How dare these Traitors to God and Traitors to Christians severely persecuted and barbarically murdered by Muslims, call themselves Christian?

  15. Carolyne says

I do not believe that a rational “God” would choose one group of people over another and give them a “deed” so to speak to a particular piece of land. I do, however, support Israel because I choose the civilized man over the barbarian.

One detail: Patriarch Fouad Tawil is the Latin Catholic Patriarch of Jerusalem. He is not head of the Catholic Church in the Holy land. His position and jurisdiction are confined to the Latin Catholic Church.
Many of the inhabitants of that region belong to other Catholic Churches sui iuiris, e.g. Melkite, Maronite, Armenian, etc.

  17. Jerry says

    It’s all about the occupation.

Until 1948 Bethlehem was occupied by the British and about 80% of the population was Christian.

In 1948 it was occupied by the Hashmite Kingdom of Trans-Jordan, a Muslim country invented and established by the British upon about 80% of the land of the territory of the original “Palestine”
established by the “League of Nation” with declared intention of establishing a “National Home for the Jewish People”.

Jordanian Muslims also occupied about 45% of the “West Bank” leaving Israel with about 55% of it or less than about 11% of the original “Palestine”.

Between 1948 and 1967, under Muslim Jordanian occupation, the Christian population of Bethlehem dwindled to about 20% of the general population.

Israel “occupied” the “West Bank” in 1967 when the combined forces of Egypt, Syria and Jordan, supported by other Muslim states threatened its existence but the day to day administration of most of those territories remained in the hands of the predominantly Muslim PA (“Palestinian Authrity”).

The Christian population of Bethlehem, under the PA occupation have dwindled further to only about 10% of the town that was the birth place of Jesus.

It is, clearly, about the occupation, but about whose occupation it really is?

Under Muslim occupation most of the Christian populations of Turkey and Egypt which originally predominated were almost entirely extinguished through Jihadi terror, exile, forced conversions and genocide.

Similar trend emerges in various communities in Europe (e.g. Sweden – Malmo, France – parts of Paris) and even the USA.

Are we in war against Islam? Most Westerners will deny that, but, in reality, Islam is in war of extermination against all of us.
