Let’s see. He was in contact with known jihadis. He was, according to officials, “radicalized.” He frequented a mosque and had memorized the Qur’an. He had recently traveled to Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. Yes, his motive is utterly baffling! We may never know what it was!
“Chris Hayes & Co. Baffled By San Bernardino Motive,” by Mark Finkelstein, NewsBusters, December 3, 2015:
Rudy Giuliani has said that if you can’t figure out that what happened in San Bernardino was an act of terror, “you’re a moron.” But from Chris Hayes, to the FBI, to a representative of the Muslim community, to a Mother Jones reporter, to President Obama himself, one thing emerged from Hayes’ MSNBC show tonight: they’re all terribly confused and cautious about what possibly could have been the “motive” of the San Bernardino shooters.
Check out the video montage. It would be comical but for the heinous circumstances—and the unwillingness of the country’s political, media and religious leaders to call out radical Islamic terrorism when they see it.
CHRIS HAYES: The FBI’s been very careful about attributing motive here so far, it seems they really want to make sure they’ve penetrated down to the bedrock before they come out and say anything definitive.
PETE WILLIAMS: From the president on down. The president, the attorney general, the FBI officials here in Washington, the special agent in charge in LA, and the county and city authorities. They’re all saying much the same: we don’t know why they did it.
. . .
CAIR OFFICIAL: It’s mind-boggling. Really, we’re all waiting for the results of the investigation to know the real motives. What could have made someone snap like that?
. . .
PRESIDENT OBAMA: It’s possible that this was terrorist related. But we don’t know. It’s also possible that this was workplace related.
CHRIS HAYES: Authorities are still trying to establish a clear motive in yesterday’s shooting rampage.
. . .
MARK FOLLMAN: Well, as you were just describing, Chris, the confluence of possible motive here is really fascinating, as much as this case is really horrifying. That this may have been some kind of workplace violence combined with some kind of ideological, terrorism-related motive….

Maybe the delusional Left will come up with a new mental disorder classification to substitute for the reality of Islamic supremacism and predatory Jihad:

With the absurdities (sickness) taking place with the western leaders/media, the best thing I can say is in my song, ‘Nothing to do with islam’. Here it is:

Cris Hayes at the end say “maybe the motive will never be knowable”. Yes it will go down like Big Foot, the Loc Ness Monster, or the origin of the universe.
What a dishonest scumbag.

Isn’t that completely astonishing to hear from a “journalist”? But this is the media age in which we live. I agree, it’s like he thinks it’s paranormal! He is a piece of garbage, not a journalist.

I DUNNO, may be the lesson here is 1) not to work with, nor go near any muslim at any time. 2) make sure you don’t live too close to them either, in case their bomb making factory (home) detonates prematurely

this Chris Hayes guy is just one more of the terminally stupid. I wonder, is the whole world becoming suicidal, it sure seems that way. willful ignorance will get them what they want.

Its the West that is suicidal. It seems the Russians know better.

Now I’m not saying for sure that this was workplace violence, but it could be. If the investigators and news media are still trying to find a motive I can tell you from personal experience that I’ve attended some of these office Christmas parties and found myself at the end of the buffet line where all the good stuff has been taken and only that opaque lime green Jello **** is left. I’ll admit there has been a time or two when I was tempted to storm out, drive home, find my wife, don our body armor, grab our sophisticated weaponry and bombs, drop the kid off at grandma’s, head back to the party, and shoot the place up. But again I’m not saying for sure that this was Syed and Tashfeen’s motive. It could have been something else altogether. The only thing we know for certain is that it wasn’t Muslim extremism.

Mere “radical Islam” has been replaced by style guide euphemism du jour “radical Islamic terrorism”.
Many of the GOP presidential candidates–if not all of them–use it; Ted Cruz to a syrupy, unbearable degree.
“Journalists”, television news “personalities”, and talking heads parrot it.
Wraak! They’re radicals.
Wrakk! They were radicalized.
Wrakk! Radical Islamic terrorists.
Surely, at least some of them MUST realize how stupid and gutless those regurgitations are.

What I would like to know is if anyone has any links to debates between clerics such as Amjen Choudary and actual Muslim scholars that dispute his teachings about Islam. Where are the schools that teach theology that directly contradicts his interpretations of Islam. If Islam is so peaceful why are clerics like this not confronted?
The second question I have is why does the press in the West not ask this same question? Why is Islam given a free pass to just issue press releases stating what it wants but never has any challenge to it?
Patrick Constantine says
To CAIR and all the other “moderate muslim” (if they exist) apologists:
Step away from the fresh stack of dead bodies just killed by these jihadis, and answer this question:
How much money have you donated to the survivors and families of the victims of this jihad?
How much money have you donated to the families of the 21 egyptian copts murdered by al quaeda in LIbya? (aside: how many Christians did Gadafi behead, HIllary? how many Christians did Saddam behead, Mr. Bush? How many Christians has Bashar Assad beheaded, Mr Obama?)
This will determine whether we should listen to a thing these muslim apologists say. And where are the moderate muslims of Belgium? they are sheltering the most wanted man in the world in their homes and mosques. And in the very city where Nato is headquartered!
Have we all awoken from a nightmare to realize it is no dream at all?
