Hmmm. Which foreign country has a concentration of “right-wing extremists” that could have sent this threat? If this threat comes from jihadis, did the LA school district have students draw Muhammad, or provoke the poor dears in some other way?
“LA schools threat ‘came from foreign country,'” ANSA, December 15, 2015:
(ANSA) – New York, December 15 – An email threatening Los Angeles schools arrived from a foreign country, investigative sources told ABC News on Tuesday. LA School Superintended Ramon Cortines said the threat was explicitly aimed at “students at school”.
Meanwhile in New York City, Mayor Bill de Blasio and Police Chief William Bratton said officials there received the same threatening email and assessed it as “not credible”.
School districts throughout the country were targeted by the threatening email, De Blasio and Bratton said.

The Luciferian dedication has a long literary history. William Blake wrote “The Marriage of Heaven & Hell” with mention that Satan is the patron of poets, referencing Milton’s anti-hero of “Paradise Lost”. It doesn’t mean he worships Satan, but his image is iconic of the rebel mythos.

This does seem to be quite the overreaction impacting some 700K students and their families. Still, the Superintendent (and law enforcement?) must have their reasons for taking such drastic action.
I cannot even fathom the staggering cost of this operation…
My concern? Law enforcement and bomb squads are going to exhaust all their resources in sweeping some 900 school buildings today. What a grotesque opportunity to attack other venues while the lion share of public safety officials scour the schools. ISIS has a reputation for coordinating simultaneous attacks as we saw in Paris.
Right now, I’m concerned about the Christmas shoppers at malls across the Los Angeles area.
As a rule of thumb, terrorists don’t warn. They strike. They really dig the elements of shock and awe and chaos.
God forbid there is an attack…but I doubt it will be at an LA school.

This is exactly what it is. Terror. They don’t have to kill to terrorize. They are installing fear in the heart of the infidels and they are doing an excellent job.

Terrorism is the main part of jihad and jihad is the main part of Islam. ISIS’s attacks have been telling us we will not be safe in 1) a concert hall 2) a sports arena 3) a Christmas party 4) a high school.

Bin Laden too sent the infamous Letter Warning and Calling America to Islam before 9/11.
mortimer says
They gave all of us a ‘group warning’ in the West many times as well as multiple ‘calls to Islam’.
Mohammed attacked his victims without warning. There is always an excuse in Sharia for changing the rules. You need to learn more about Islam.
The attacks are all RITUALISTIC HONOR KILLINGS…the killings are all liturgical in nature…the LITURGY OF TORTURE, DEATH, SADISM and REVENGE.
Normative Islam is a true DEATH CULT.

Even if nothing happens (this time) they have managed ot hurt us. They spread fear and forced us to use our resources which coulld’ve been used elsewhere.
How much will this cost? How many times can we do this? Maybe it’s a drill only and they want to see how we are going to respond so the next time they can be better prepared.
Terrorism is horrible but when they threaten our children we really cannot sit back and listen to our traitor leaders.
This is not going to get better. It will only get worse and all the rubbish about 1.6billion of Muslims blah blah blah.
I wonder how quickly they would find one of ours threatening a Muslim school. How quickly we would all be forced to share the blame but Muslims are never forced to share the blame. It’s always a “lone wolf” and nothing to do with the rest of Muslim community.

If ISIS hits the schools they will get the boots on the ground they want.

And all it took was one “email from a foreign country.” That’s the next step in terror. One big incident that’s real, and then a hundred little threats that might or might not be real that cost a lot to deal with and wear us down.. And not to mention mere copycat threats by nutters like the Paris school teacher. Then another big incident again because we’ve been worn down.. It will go on and on. Israel was first. Now the rest of the world is next.
Robert, I’ve been watching this story develop, and this is the first I’ve heard that the email was from a “foreign country.” But now I see you spotted this detail in the Italian press. Bravo!
One small piece of hope I see right now is that even the New Durranty Times is publishing
about jihadism.
http://www.nytimes.com/2015/12/16/world/europe/the-era-of-jihadist-amateurism-might-be-over.html
They’re saying that the next wave of jihadists will be professionals trained by ISIS. Of course that’s not true. (Amateurs will still make a showing simply because the Koran tells them to.) And they are focusing on ISIS because they don’t believe ISIS is truly Islamic. But if they continue reporting on ISIS, the truth of its truly Islamic roots will eventually have to come out. The shear volume of incidents reported will eventually cause the American people, if not the New Durantly Times, to draw the correct conclusions.

This threat was meant to terrorize, and it did just that.
Moreover, it disrupted thousands of Infidels’ day in a major way, and cost them millions in lost work and school time, as well as tying up the resources of police, CHP, and sheriff’s departments.
A threat can be quite effective even if it is not carried out.
The “Prophet” himself knew this:
Allah’s Apostle said, “I have been sent with the shortest expressions bearing the widest meanings, and I have been made victorious with terror (cast in the hearts of the enemy), and while I was sleeping, the keys of the treasures of the world were brought to me and put in my hand.”

You demand of graven that evidence be presented as though you are the perp’s attorney and can legally question the points made.
A hoax is not an innocent act. People have been severely prosecuted for calling in bombs when no bombs existed. Heck, the *runaway bride* had to do community service for claiming to be kidnapped.
Hoaxes might be thought of as *fun* to the hoaxer. But as others have presented here, hoaxes can be, and frequently are, used to instill fear, to disrupt normal activity, to cost the community money, to cause resources to be directed away from an actual attack.
Did you ever see the movie “Cape Fear”? The guy planned to attack, but he instilled a lot of fear before the actual attack on the family.
This is a part of the plan, a part of the goal, of the terrorists, be it a *lone wolf*…a rarity in real life…or a group, a sub-group, several coordinated groups.
Wise up.
Myxlplik says
Rome,
It hasn’t been proven to be anything other than a threat, which didn’t happen. This doesn’t necessarily mean it wasn’t an attack. It sounds to me like it was sophisticated, ie the skull and dagger IP address fake, and simultaneous state and district emailing. I think we can rule out some kid trying to get out of school for a day, and as far as members of the media parroting that it didn’t sound like the folks who authored the threat knew Islam, well their ilk will also tell you that Abu Bakr the Caliph doesn’t know Islam either.
There is a high degree of probability that this was a sophisticated feint. Made by someone who authored a threat made to look like it came from an Islamic source. Due to the fact that it looks like a feint to me, it was to gather operational intelligence, and if that’s the case, then it’s no “hoax”.

Romeroma, we already know that the person making the threat claimed to be Muslim. Unless you think the Congressman had some reason for lying? What possible reason could he have, when it could so easily be disproven?

Now, of course it’s theoretically possible that this was sent by someone posing as a Muslim–Mossad, perhaps? Maybe the Illuminati?
But the fact is that Muslims making threats to blow things up is *far* more common.
And many Jihad threats are just that–intended to sow terror whether they are carried out or not. As somehistory notes, threatening to bomb an entire school district is *not* an innocent prank.
Peggy says
Relevance is that false attacks are going to be announced and once we no longer believe it they will strike. Maybe this was only a drill and they wanted to see our response or maybe they just want to make us run in circles until we no longer can.
So yes, it’s very relevant. Real or not it was enough to disrupt so many lives at a huge cost.
It is still terror.

No doubt before long, with hour to hour coverage of a threat, the political heads will try to blame Trumps’s comments for “inflammatory rhetoric”. However it seems that it does not need that type of coverage, unless the agenda is to cost the city money, point fingers at Trump which could be exactly what threat aimed to do.

Brad Sherman (D-Los Angeles), a senior member of the House Foreign Affairs Committee. “The author claims to be an extremist Muslim who has teamed up with local jihadists.
“We do not know whether these claims are true or a lie. We do not know whether this email is from a devout Muslim who supports jihadists or perhaps a non-Muslim with a different agenda.” Sherman, former chairman of the House subcommittee on terrorism, said the email makes relatively specific and wide-ranging threats to Los Angeles schools. “We do not know whether some or all of the threats are truthful,” Sherman said. “The only thing we know is that the email was sent by an evil person.”
He added: “The text of the email does not demonstrate that the author has studied Islam or has any particular understanding of Islam.”

In a phone interview with CNN, Rep. Brad Sherman, who represents the San Fernando Valley, talked about the threat against Los Angeles public schools:
The threat contained a “pornographic reference” to a human body part and claimed that there were backpacks with bombs on Los Angeles Unified school campuses, among others, he said. The person claimed to have access to nerve agents and boasted of having 32 accomplices to help in the attack, he said.
The email threat did not indicate that the person has any understanding of Islam, but it was signed with an “Arabic” name, he said.

On KFI radio (AM 640) on the Bill Handel show this morning, they said that the email came from someone claiming “to be a Jihadi”. The point is not whether or not it’s a credible threat or a hoax. The point is what the impact was on Parents, Children, Businesses whose Parents had leave, etc. It’s so easy for Muslims to terrorize the West. And what if it wasn’t a hoax and nothing was done?

In New York, home to more than 1 million public school students, Mayor Bill de Blasio and Police Commissioner William Bratton held a news conference of their own, saying the anonymous message seemed bogus, and appeared to have been sent to other cities.
The threat “was so generic, so outlandish, and posed to numerous school systems simultaneously” that it was clearly not credible, de Blasio said. He added that it would have been a “disservice” to keep students home.

Later, Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti and Police Chief Charlie Beck stood by Cortines, saying it was wrong to chastise officials who acted quickly in the hours before the school day began.
“I think it’s irresponsible based on facts that have yet to be determined to criticize that decision,” Beck said.
Many parents in Los Angeles — and many officials — said they understood what Cortines did, and expressed lingering fear from the attack on San Bernardino, where a radicalized husband and wife shot 14 people to death at a holiday office party.
The message in Los Angeles arrived in the form of an email to the city’s school board Tuesday morning, multiple sources familiar with the investigation told NBC News.

Rep. Brad Sherman of California, a member of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, said in a statement that he had seen the message, and that the writer claimed to be a Muslim extremist who had teamed up with local jihadis. The writer did not appear to understand Islam very well, however, Sherman said.

“Something big is going down. Something very big. It will make national headlines. Perhaps, even international ones,” the message reads. The writer claims he was bullied and rejected at “one of the district high schools,” but does not say which.
“Every school in the New York City district is being targeted. We have bombs hidden in lockers already at several schools,” the email says. In addition to explosives, the email says “nerve gas” would also be a part of the attack. Bratton presumably drew the “Homeland” comparison from this portion, since a nerve gas threat is part of this season’s story line.
