UPDATED 9:30PM EST – NBC News announces one suspect may be a man named “Sayed Farook”. On CNN, Former CIA case officer Robert Baer said “the most disturbing aspect of the deadly San Bernardino shooting is that it was carried out using tactics that are employed in the Middle East.”
NBC reports name of one attacker as Syed Farook:
(6:01 p.m. PST): Multiple sources from multiple agencies identified one of the three attackers at the resource center to NBC News as Syed Farook. No other information was available, but a knowledgeable source said another member of the trio is believed to be Farook’s brother.
The identity of the woman was unknown. [See below for police scanner report on “female Arabic” suspect.]
David Bowdich, the FBI’s assistant director in Los Angeles, said the incident was being regarded as “possibly terrorism.” He wouldn’t elaborate.
The dead suspects were dressed in “assault-style clothing” and were carrying assault-style weapons and handguns…
- 6:15 p.m. (PST): NBC News investigative reporter Tom Winter reports that law enforcement sources indicate one suspect may be a man named Sayeed Farook.
- The Los Angeles Times reports that its sources indicate the lead gunman was a U.S. citizen.
- 6:00 p.m.: Adelle Nazarian of Breitbart News notes that CNN analysts say the attack looks like terrorism:
- Speaking on CNN’s Out Front with Erin Burnett Wednesday, former CIA case officer Robert Baer said the most “disturbing” aspect of the deadly San Bernardino shooting is that it was carried out using tactics that are employed in the Middle East. “What I don’t like about this shooting is multiple shooters… IEDs… I say this very reluctantly, but this has the hallmarks of the sort of attacks you see in the Middle East,” Baer said. Former FBI special agent Robert Chacon agreed with Baer’s assertions later on in the show.
- 4:13 p.m. (PST): Vicki Cervantes of the San Bernadino Police Department told reporters that one suspect is down, one being “dealt with,” and another possible being pursued. Another update is promised at 4:45 p.m. PST…
- One report indicates that ISIS supporters are celebrating the attack on Twitter.
- 3:55 p.m.: Police scanner reports one suspect as “female Arabic.” […]
- 2:30 p.m.: Police told reporters at the news conference that they can neither confirm nor deny the shooting is a terrorist attack. The FBI has said similar things, according to Fox News, which adds that police say that “at minimum, we have a domestic terror situation.” The suspects came as if “on a mission.” It appears less likely that this is a workplace shooting or a random attack…
- 2:00 p.m.: San Bernardino police chief Jarrod Burguan told a news conference that there are at least 14 dead and 14 injured…
- 1:20 p.m.: Unconfirmed police scanner reports indicate: “Man in military fatigues currently at Roberts Elementary school.” The scanner also reports a “Middle Eastern male” with “long beard, tactical shorts and a backpack.”

San Bernardino: NBC News reports suspect as ‘Syed Farook’
……………………
And now the MSM is confirming that this was Jihad.
Spot On says
They sure have a hard time connecting dots in the MSM and Washington. Maybe they could hire a third grader to do this for them.

Profile: long beard, Middle Eastern, very religious, tactics used by ISIS, assault-style clothing, AK-47 assault rifles (popular with Islamist terrorists)…therefore, ‘probably’ terrorism.
What were the targets in the recent Paris attacks? ‘Crusaders’ and ‘prostitution’ !!!
Same situation in San Bernardino…when Christians observe Christmas, they are ‘Crusaders’…when men and women associate without chaperons, it’s called ‘prostitution’.
The San Bernardino was against Christians and WOMEN! Feminists, go back to sleep.

When is your CAIR going to whine about victim-hood? As it is normal for Muslims to become “victims” after atrocities committed by their coreligionists.
Katowice says
They just reported on FOX that CAIR’s going to have some kind of press conference with the family tonight.

That was quick– but hardly surprising.

Now apparently it’s something with “other Muslim leaders” to denounce it and etc etc. Which of course means yet another “we’re the real victims” performance.

Declare CAIR what it is,,,,a terrorist organization…There are many other Muslim groups that fsll into this category… Oh no!!! I will be called a saxophone. WAKE UP AMERICA!!!

That can’t be right. This kind of thing can’t possibly happen in the Middle East. This kind of thing happens only in the USA. (Obama said so.)

“Middle Eastern male”? with “long beard ??, tactical shorts??/?and a backpack.”
???
What could this be?? mmmh??
1. Its not Clear
Though its clear from you hearing shooting happened targeting indiscriminately american civilians,l media will never bring up EVEN REMOTELY THE ISIS THREAT to do exactly this.
So at this early stage of every Islamist terror strike- every Report will underscore…ITS NOT CLEAR IF…ITS NOT CLEAR WHETHER…
2. When this smoke screen lifts and picture begins to look like what it is- Jihad attack…
“Its still not clear if this attackers were connected to ISIS or any organisation”
3 Quick search for alibis- Psychiatric history of killers- ‘a disturbed individual’ story.
4. When that is no longer possible with fresh news comes establishing the killers were ISIS
IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH ISLAM…THESE ARE NOT MUSLIMS
5. When its clear to everyone Islamic terrorism had Slaugheterd once again good many of us-

Here’s the expected bs from CAIR:
“We condemn this horrific and revolting attack and offer our heartfelt condolences to the families and loved ones of all those killed or injured,” said Hussam Ayloush, executive director of the Council on American-Islamic Relations in Los Angeles. “The Muslim community stands shoulder to shoulder with our fellow Americans in repudiating any twisted mindset that would claim to justify such sickening acts of violence.”
…
What do we know about Hussan Ayloush?
He refused to condemn Hamas. And why should he? CAIR has supported Hamas. He has also excoriated Israel for fighting back against rocket attacks from Gaza.
We see all too well his–and CAIR’s–support for violent Jihad.

“Syed Farook?”…clearly a white Christian male again.

I am forming the impression that Sayed Farook and his accomplices had intended to carry out this attack for a very long time and were prepared for it awaiting an opportunity. When the celebrations in the community center hall started, Syed must have looked around at so many people (presumably disabled) and thought it a good chance to do a massacre. He left the hall early and returned with the accomplices, fully armed and vested to carry out shooting of the celebrating people. This is the scenario that I surmise. It will be interesting to see how closely it is reflected in the results of investigations. I also think that the authorities will sweep Islamic ideology as a motivation under the carpet and blame it on Islamic offense taken at ham and cheese sandwiches.

You wrote – “I am forming the impression that Sayed Farook and his accomplices had intended to carry out this attack for a very long time and were prepared for it awaiting an opportunity. ”
That is my suspicion also.
Even if it turns out there was a quarrel, he may have *picked the quarrel* deliberately so as to have an excuse to leave early (so as to be sure of having time to go wherever, arm up and get back whilst the target area was still full of prospective victims).

Did you all see the Hamas / Muslim brotherhood linked CAIR news conference. How is it that these people with their history get to control the narrative?
Did you see the lying brother-in-law? It should be easy enough to check his phone records to see when the last time he spoke to his brother-in-law was. He looked guilty as shit to me and as soon as any questions started he clamed up and the CAIR people wouldn’t let him talk. It was very revealing and I hope the FBI was watching the CAIR news conference.
nabi ZK (pbum) says
Farhan Khan, the brother-in-law of the suspect Syed Farook, told reporters: “I have no idea why he would he do something like this. I have absolutely no idea. i am in shock myself.” …

The bearded man standing behind the brother in law is a front man for the muslim brotherhood, gifted at taqiyya and would love to see sharia law in America.
Farook Raheel Syed sounds like a typical hyderabadi indian muslim name.
Baucent says
Watch the spin that will be in play. An unnamed but quoted source says “there was an argument” at the meeting. This is then seized upon by media who craft the narrative as “work place violence”, while ignoring the evidence of much pre-planning,explosives and involvement of the “employee’s” wife. That is unprecedented in “disgruntled worker” types of attack. What would motivate the wife and mother of a baby, to involve herself in this murderous attack? Some dispute with her husbands co-workers? Highly unlikely, but a religious ideology; that is plausible. In Paris one of the Jihadists at the theatre was a woman.
The “there was an argument” may story yet be shown to be untrue, but it is already coloring the narrative.

I a a great adjirerof your efforts and a steady contributor to the Freedom Center. I am appalled at those who white-wash Islam
I have long held a critical view of Islam, fed to a considerable degree by the writing of V.S.Naipal, particularly his book “Among The Believers.” Some eight years ago I spent close to one hour in a meeting with a “moderate” Muslim, who had been sent out by the local Muslim community’s speakers organization to inform a small inter-faith study group on the role of women within the faith. The man they sent was tall and quite imposing, well-dressed in western clothing, and without a turban. He identified himself as a small business owner (I think it was roofing), U.S. born, and a former Texas State Highway Trooper. He started his presentation by placing his hand on the two volumes of the Quran he brought with him and declaring: “Everything you need to know in your life – personal, family, business, spiritual – is in these books.”
What I learned that day – and what every American should understand – is summarized in the following of questions to be directed at an acknowledged follower of Islam.
Do you believed that there is only one God, Allah, and one prophet, Muhammad, and one true faith, and that one day it shall rule the world, as promised in the Quran, and that you must do your best to help that day come to pass?
Do you believe that the words of the Quran and the Hadith are sacred, not subject to interpretation by anyone other than Muslim scholars, not changeable or subject to questioning or revision to conform tochanging times and advances in knowledge?
Do you agree that Islam is a religion of strict obedience – the child obeys the parent, the woman obeys her father and her husband, the man obeys the Word of the Quran, as delivered by the imams and the Elders – and that this obedience must not be questioned or challenged?
For you, is Islam not merely a a matter of worship – of saying your prayers and attending Mosque – but an entire way of living, guiding you through every day of your life, every decision within your family, in your social life, and in business, and that you must memorize its most important commands”?
Do you believe that Sharia Law, as derived from the Quran and the Hadith, is above all other laws, and takes precedence over the common law of any sovereign nation, law formulated by men and administered by democratically elected government?
Would you ever criticize or complain, privately or publicly, the behavior of a jihadist – a strict adherent to the Word of the Quran, a person willing to die as a Martyr – even if you did not agree with the violence of the act?
Do you believe that your Faith is not just a matter of religious worship and obedient living but devoutly believe, that it should BE the state – that all government should be based on the Word of the Quran, and not determined by the vote of the people?
The unhesitant answer of either a jihadist or a “moderate” friendly neighborhood Muslim to all these questions except the second last, would be a firm “YES.” There is no sliding scale of observation and commitment, no reform or universalist branch, as in Judaic or Christian denominations. Tou cannot be “mostly obedient.” You are either a believer or an infidel, or what is even worse – an apostate and thus a candidate for death. That is why you will never heard a word of protest to jihadist massacres from an Islamic group.
Islam is not a benign peace-loving religious practice. Is only peace is the peace of the Quran. It is a THEOCRACY : total and unchallenged power over all people, in every aspect of their lives, is its core principle. The Quran is its Constitution and Manual of behavior as well as worship. All Muslims, deliberately and purposefully, as commanded by the Prophet, will refuse to assimilate into a nation or culture that is not based on their beliefs, hough they strive to create the impression that they do. Their Pledge of Allegiance to our Republic is delivered with a hand on the Quran, a lie justified because it is in cause of the Faith.
The big split within Islam is not Sunni vs Shia. It is in the strategy for becoming Lords of the Universe. The Jihadists believe that the weakness of the Western Nations and the affluence provided by oil, afford an opportunity for conquest through violent armed conquest and terror. The “moderates”, like Gaddafi and the Saudis, support the approach of a steady migration and pretence of assimilation together with fertility at the rate of 6 children per wife, until they achieve sufficient number of voters to obtain the balance of power through democratic election. For these “moderates” the jihadist fundamentalists of ISIS are screwing up their more reasoned patient stategy by arousing early resistance.
All this I learned in one morning, from the mouth of a man, a teacher of the Quran, who was being urged to open a new mosque, but concerned because, by becoming an imam, he would – on the Great Day of Judgement – have to answer not just to himself, but for all members of his congregation. As to the respect for women, he assured us that, though authorized by the Quran to beat his wife, he never did so. He had a little stick, like a tongue depressor, and all he had to do was tap gently on the back of her hand to keep her in line. We also learned that, but for Islam, there would never have been any scientific advance, no Boeing, no Microsoft.
Beyond any political or economic issues, Islam is the greatest threat now facing our Republic and to the world. That truth needs to be fully understood by all non-Muslims – and particularly by Socialists – and “multiculturalists” – and addressed before it reaches the level it now has in Sweden, France,Germany, Britain and elsewhere in Europe. There would seem to be no way within our Constitution that we can reject their applications for citizenship. But the myth promulgated by Hillary and ilk – that most Muslims are good patriotic, democracy-embracing citizens, supportive of our traditional culture and freedoms – needs to be openly and aggressively challenged – sooner.
Just think. If only 1% of Muslims are jihadist, then we already have about 30,000 attending mosque – almost 1,00 per state. That must make Obama and Hillary sleep well at night.

Totally agree. Spread the word and tell the truth about islam. Encourage people to read the quran and hadiths and the reliance of the traveller.
Wake people up, once you have a muslim population, you have a problem. Left unchecked, the problem becomes a nightmare.
Obama, Clinton et al, focus on control, nice try. Paris has some of the strictest gun laws in the world.
America, this is the start, the battle for survival of democracy and the American dream.

Awful as it is, this could actually have been a whole lot worse.
As it stands: 14 people have been murdered as human sacrifices to ‘allah’ the arab demon of blood and war; others have been wounded and traumatised.
The Infidel cops have annihilated the two Muslim ghazi raiders, which saves on a whole *world* of hassle and expense (no long-drawn-out trial with every trick of Lawfare deployed). On the downside, they can’t be interrogated, so any accomplices/ support network will have to be tracked down by other means; but on the upside, the long-suffering US taxpayer won’t have to pay for them while they engage in Prison Dawa.
But it could have been a whole lot worse.
*Think* of the field in which this bloke, this oh-so-devout Mohammedan murderer, was employed.
He was a **food inspector**.
He worked as “a health technician inspecting restaurants and hotels” (this from the New York Daily News report).
THINK, just think for a moment of what he could have done (or not done, if he chose to turn a blind eye to health-endangering practices engaged in by fellow Mohammedans running restaurants).
Then… be thankful the death toll isn’t in the thousands rather than a mere fourteen.
But now allow yourself to think of all the *other* Mohammedans, ticking time bombs just like this bloke, who are embedded within the food supply-and-preparation-and-delivery chain, and the water and sanitation facilities, and the health care facilities, all over the Lands of the Infidels.
Think of the multiple opportunities for sabotage, for acts of malevolence, at every level from petty injury (deliberate carelessness with hygiene or ‘spiking’ food with something to cause sickness though not death) right on through to spectacular mass-casualty attack, presented to each and every one of them, every single day.
All things considered, San Bernardino County got off lightly…this time.

There’s an assumption there, though, that he didn’t do anything. We don’t know yet. Will the fed/state/municipal people go through and double check his work after this?

I am sure that the Muslims are being framed: the attack must have been committed by the Amish, Quakers to the Zionist devils— but never by real Muslims! Maybe the Unitarians did it! Come on, America, when will you grow up!

Wow after a full scale military assault by Muslim extremists I’m guessing the next and best option to better help protect US citizens would be to bring over 500 thousand or more unpredictable adherents to the religion peace. Wake up America your President has been behind every revolution of the Arab spring. Now he’s bringing the battle to you by the plane load he wants to destroy your way off life. Look at how he turned the empire state building into a mineret this year!!!! Fo fucks sake wake up world Barrack Obama is responsible for the death of every Islamic terror victim on the planet.

It is possible the brother in law is being truthful. He appeared to be quite troubled by his brother in law’s acts of violence. Then again He fooled many people. This was obviously premeditated and needed much planning with his partner. Latest news says there was no argument at the shooting location and he visited it merely to case it. But we all know it is us radical Christians who are the real danger here.
chrisnj says
As reported here on Jihad Watch, it is readily observed that of all the world’s major religions, Islam is unique in that the more “religious” and devoted its adherents become, the more violent and brutal they become. And so we are reminded, while there may be peaceful Muslims, Islam doctrinally is NOT a peaceful religion, or a “religion of peace”.
While those Muslims who truly seek to live in peace with their non-Muslim neighbors do not deserve to be the targets of retaliation for the actions of their less-tolerant coreligionists any more than Germans and Italians living abroad deserved to be targeted for the actions of the Nazis and the Fascists in the 1930’s and ’40’s, it is entirely appropriate to go after those who display sympathy and support for the jihad and the violent teachings of the ideology, and to examine closely the funding for and teachings of those mosques and imams seeking to establish themselves in any community.
