When a machete-wielding Muslim stabbed a non-Muslim in a London tube station, an onlooker shouted out to the attacker, “You ain’t no Muslim, bruv.” This was widely taken to have been shouted by a Muslim who was outraged at the hijacking of his peaceful religion by the stabber. The hashtag #YouAintNoMuslimBruv went viral as a declaration of solidarity with the authentic, peaceful followers of the Religion of Peace.
There’s just one catch: the man who actually shouted this out was not Muslim at all, but a non-Muslim who has dutifully absorbed all the Religion-of-Peace propaganda that the British government and media have fed him over the years. As for that large-scale Muslim movement against jihad terrorism, well, we’re still waiting.
The fact that this man is a non-Muslim makes the whole scene grotesquely absurd. Here is a man lying on the ground bleeding from stab wounds, with his attacker standing right there with his bloody knife, and the first thing this onlooker can think to do is to say something to try to protect the image of Islam. As the last jihadi slits the last non-Muslim Briton’s throat, the victim will probably be gurgling out as his life slips away, “You ain’t no Muslim, bruv.”
“Leytonstone: Tube passenger who shouted ‘You ain’t no Muslim bruv’ fears ISIS retribution,” by Tom Parfitt, Express, December 13, 2015 (thanks to The Religion of Peace):
The bystander was heard in video footage of the incident at Leytonstone Tube station in east London last weekend, shouting as an attacker wielding a knife stabbed a man.
The hashtag YouAintNoMuslimBruv went viral on Twitter and David Cameron even mentioned the phrase during a speech on Monday.
The Prime Minister said: “‘You ain’t no Muslim, bruv’ said it all much better than I could have done.”
The man behind the phrase – a 39-year-old father named only as John – said he had to voice his feelings when he saw what was happening in the station.
He said: “I saw the guy. I was like, well you ain’t a Muslim… That’s my views, and I had to let him know that, because he looked to be a terrorist. I don’t believe in all that.”
John, who is not a Muslim himself, added: “People look at Muslims, and look at ISIS, and think they’re all the same. But obviously they’re not.”
John – security guard from north London – said he was happy to hear his 20-year-old son commend him for doing “the right thing”.
Muhaydin Mire, 29, is expected to stand trial next year charged with the attempted murder of a 56-year-old man who was attacked from behind in front of several members of the public on the evening of Saturday December 5.
Prosecutors have alleged the attack, during which eyewitnesses said they heard him shout “This is for Syria”, was an act of terrorism.
Mire, of Sansom Road, Leytonstone, is accused of punching his victim to the ground and repeatedly kicking him before taking hold of the victim’s head and cutting a 5in wound in his neck….
