Exposing the role that Islamic jihad theology and ideology play in the modern global conflicts

Islamic Republic of Iran executed 1,084 in 2015, leads world in state-sanctioned executions

Jan 12, 2016 5:32 pm By Robert Spencer

“Proponents of the nuclear agreement signed in July declared that it would lead to moderation of the Iranian regime. Instead, just the opposite has ensued—Iran’s conduct has worsened. At the pace it has begun 2016, Iran will once again execute more than 1,000 of its citizens this year.”

“Iran Executed 1,084 People In 2015,” by Adam Kredo, Washington Free Beacon, January 12, 2016:

Iran again led the globe in the number of state-sanctioned executions in 2015, killing 1,084 people, which marks the highest rate of executions in the country in 25 years, according to statistics compiled by human rights and advocacy organizations.

Iran, which continues “to execute more individuals per capita than any other country in the world,” according to the United Nations, carried out an average of three executions per day in 2015, according to numbers issued by a leading Iranian human rights organization.

Since the election of President Hassan Rouhani, who was celebrated by many in the West as a moderate reformer, executions in Iran have soared, hitting record numbers in each of the last several years. The U.N. recorded 753 executions in 2014, though some human rights organizations have claimed that the number is higher.

Iran executed an American citizen in November.

Iran began 2016 with a massive round of executions, hanging 13 individuals on Jan. 6 and killing a total of 25 people in the first week of the year, according to separate statistics issued by United Against a Nuclear Iran, an advocacy organization that has been highly critical of Iran’s human rights record.

Critics of Iran’s human rights record, which continues to be ranked among the worst in the world, have said that the rising numbers of executions highlight the Islamic Republic’s disregard for the rule of law.

“By beginning the new year with an execution spree, Iran is signaling that it will continue to defy the international community and basic standards of human rights,” former Ambassador Mark Wallace, the organization’s CEO, said in a statement.

Wallace warned that Iran’s behavior is a sign that the regime is growing more hardline despite claims by the Obama administration that the recent Iran nuclear deal would moderate the nation.

“Proponents of the nuclear agreement signed in July declared that it would lead to moderation of the Iranian regime,” Wallace said. “Instead, just the opposite has ensued—Iran’s conduct has worsened. At the pace it has begun 2016, Iran will once again execute more than 1,000 of its citizens this year.”

A large number of those executed are from religious minority groups, such as Christian converts, Bahá’í adherents, Sunni Muslims, and Kurds.

Political dissidents have also been targeted by the Iranian regime, often being executed after legal proceedings that international observers have deemed as unfair.

Iran also remains one of the few nations to execute children and minors, as well as women claiming self-defense against rapists and homosexuals….

The Obama administration is set to lift many U.S. sanctions on Iran but insists that it will retain sanctions targeting Iranian human rights abuses.

    Few things

    1. It doesn’t let the ones found guilty- (even if trumped up charges) sitting on DEATH ROW for 15 to 20 years or so.

    2. It doesn’t coddle prisoners.

    3. THEY HAD THE BALLS TO CRITICIZE THE SAUDIS FOR EXECUTING FIFTY PEOPLE- TERRORISTS- INCLUDING THE ‘ CLERIC” WHO URGED A PROVINCE TO BREAK AWAY? THAT, TO ME, COULD BE CONSIDERED TREASON>

Iran, its people (most of whom seem to support their totalitarian -but sort of elected- government); the traitors in the WH, Congress etc who supported the ” treaty” and the traitors in Europe who supported it are all sickening. They should all be executed- and quickly. If nothing else, would improve the gene pool ( by removing idiots).

Most Iranians do not truly support the government. There’s a reason why so many Iranians get execued anually. There’s a reason why the 2009/2011 green revolution along with the 1999 student protest occured.Millions have immigrated from Iran since 1979. Most Iranian dispora are secular.

it’s the rate per capita that Iran leads in executions, not absolute numbers. China is believed by many to be ahead in numbers, but with a billion population, it’s per capita rate is lower than Iran’s.

Executed for what? Uncle Kepha has no problems with executing murderers. Executing people for changing religions or having dissenting ideas is quite another thing. I. for one, resent having to support a number of violent scumbags for the whole of their natural lives on my tax penny–even if I agree with having courts, counsel, and right of appeal.

Disregard for the rule of law? What – Sharia Law?
No – a total disregard for civilized norms of behaviour and respect for the lives of individuals.

That’s horrible- but you do know that Rick Perry in his time as Governor of Texas executed 274 people and at least one was later proved innocent- G W Bush only killed 167.

    But who’s counting?

So Saudi, the country that arrested their police that uploaded a execution video to the internet, have willingly handed over their numbers? I doubt it.

Well then, Iran, like Saudi Arabia, is well qualified for a place on the United Nations Human Rights Commission. I´m sure that if the Mullahs sent David Cameron a large brown paper package he would sponsor their application. Well, it worked for Saudi Arabia.

In this tyrannical Islamic regime of Iran which so falsely has the word “republic” in its title terribly oppresses the people of Iran .The cruel and harsh Muslim clerics as the mullahs ayatollahs who have so strong powers the the in greatly influence and override any form of parliament is heinous tyranny has. Therefore those mullahs and ayatollahs come down the freedom that the Iranian people should have. Those Muslim clerics do it through their ruthless gang of thugs who the the Islamic states police. They call themselves the “Revolutionary Guards” Thus the people of Iran live in great and terrible fear of the mullahs and ayatollahs with hideous and brutal “guards” This then a reminder that Benjamin Franklin had printed in POOR RICHARD’S ALMANACK “Those who are feared are also hated.”

Under Islam all treaties, agreements and “deals” are considered to be temporary, strategic and breakable as soon as is advantageous to Muslims. It is one of the variations of deceit (taqiyya) allowed by the Koran.

But seriously would you expect anything else from a “religion” that preaches supremacy and the submission of all “disbelievers”.

The very thin frosting of “religion” hides what is the most ruthless, Fascist and criminal gang ever conceived of in human history. And it is hiding “in plain sight”.
