The Qur’an tells Muslims: “Drive them out from where they drove you out.” (2:191) This is the basis for the idea that any land that belonged to the Muslims at any time belongs by right to the Muslims forever. That includes Spain.
“ISIS TERROR WARNING: Jihadists threaten to attack SPAIN in chilling new propaganda clip,” by Tom Parfitt, Express, January 22, 2016:
The jihadist group’s latest chilling propaganda video features an ancient map of the Iberian Peninsula which slowly turns to red.
Then a militant can be heard saying “We will recover our land from the invaders”, thought to be a reference to the collapse of Islamic rule in Spain.
More than 12 million UK-based holidaymakers travel to Spain every year, with Majorca, Tenerife and Ibiza the most popular destinations last summer.
The clip comes just two months after Madrid police arrested three people suspected of links to the sick organisation.
The Moroccan suspects, who are legal residents of Spain, were reportedly aiming to carry out depraved terror attacks in the country.
More than 100 people from Spain are feared to have travelled to join the so-called caliphate in war-torn Syria and Iraq.
After last year’s massacre in nearby Tunisia, a Foreign Office spokesman warned British nationals should be “vigilant” if travelling to Spain….

Daniel Triplett says
Are you starting to get the picture Spaniards?
The Muslims bombed your trains in 2004. Instead of fighting back, you appeased them, abandoning your allies who were fighting them, and you hid in fear. You embarrassed yourselves, and did nothing to stop the Muslims. Cowardice begets more attacks.
Spain once ruled 1/4 of the Earth. What happened?
It’s time to grow a pair and start fighting back. There is no appeasing these demons. They must be destroyed.
How about joining sides with the good guys? We have a big fight ahead of us, and we’ll need all the help we can get.

From an Islamic point of view, Spain is pretty much in the same situation as Israel.
Spaniards should think of that when they’re tempted to support BDS. They’re next. What’s holding them back from being at the forefront of Jihad is Israel being the #1 target…

Benedorm is best known today as a popular holiday destination and name of a long-running British sitcom about vacationers and expats there.
But this town was under brutal Muslim rule for centuries, and then suffered depredations from the Muslim Barbary pirates for hundreds of years more.
It now has a small but disturbingly growing Muslim population.

The Spanish ship,is sinking. Other European ships are sinking. No one there seems to know what to do. While the ship USA is also sinking, some establishment Republicans want to repaint the cabin, or refurbish the kitchen. Some intellectual establishment Republicans are trying to commit suicide. At this time a good straight talking practical genius with the right equipment, is the right person to fix the gaping hole in ship USA. Ship Europe, I am afraid, has no such genius on their ship and is sinking. Hopefully the ship USA will sail again and can be of aid to the European ships.

Notwithstanding his disappointing remarks about Garland, Trump is the ONLY candidate who had IDd the problem as “Islam,” instead of “Radical Islam.”
I believe he is the right man to captain our American “ship,” and be the overall Admiral directing the ships of our coalition Allies too.
All the other guys are naive fools, thinking if we can just disarm Iran and stop ISIS, then we can live in peace with all the other Muslims on Earth.
They’re idiots. Only Trump harbors suspicions of ALL Muslims, and has publicly said so on many occasions.
IMHO, it’s time to move past his Garland foul, and rally behind this strong man, putting him in charge.

Indeed, I whole heartedly agree with you. One can only hope that you (Americans) will vote for him. Questions are: How will he respond to the ‘political realities’ presented to him by the civil service, and “all that”?
Also, will it serve as a wake up call to us Europeans – one can but hope.

Not if the Bloco de Esquerda has any saying. They’re the morons who brought forth a law punishing cat-calling with up to 3 years in jail and whose leader, after bashing Merkel and Germany anywhere TV cameras were recording, backpedaled and supported Merkel’s stance on “Syrian” “refugees”: open door, everyone’s welcome, no questions asked, anyone objecting is to have their character assassinated. They were the 3rd most voted party in last year’s elections, and are part of the elected government, alongside the socialist party (2nd most voted) and the communist party (4th most voted).

Lol Portugal was invaded so many times by Spain, even by Napoleon! You don’t known history.

Let’s see: there was the period of Iberian Union. The Seven-Year War. And the French Invasions, where they supported Napoleon. Hardly “so many times”. And every time they were invaded, they drove the invaders back. Doesn’t strike me as something they should be ashamed of.

Po, democratic Spain is no threat to Portugal today. But when Muslims talk about reconquering “Al Andalus”, I assure you they intend to take Portugal as well as Spain.

Sorry (in advance) for the long post.
I don’t believe our people (I’m portuguese too) have the guts to fight back.
Brandos costumes…
I don’t think that most portuguese (and most westerners for that matter) have the mental ability to cope with the brutality that is about to happen, and the brutality it will take to fight that.
I was talking a few weeks ago with coworkers about what is happening in Syria. They were astonished that ISIS was laying siege to a kurdish held city and had cut off food to that city. Obviously people inside were starving. My coworkers said it was medieval. It is not. It is a war tactic used in almost every war since Adam and Eve. But westerners are shocked with it. Our enemy is not. I realize that when violence breaks out, muslim besieging europeans will let them starve, and europeans besieging muslims will stop the siege at the sight of the first skinny kid.
When I talk to some “you are a xenophobe” idiots about, for instance what happened in new year’s eve in Cologne, the answer is always a slight variation of “bla bla bla the crusades, bla bla bla inquisition”. That is the mindset of most westerners. They really believe they have to be soft on violent angry invaders because of what happened 900 years ago.
Unfortunatelly, when the subject is Christian-Muslim war in the Reconquista, the “you are a xenophobe” idiots believe it all ended in 1249 for Portugal and 1492 for Spain. But for radical muslims that was just yesterday afternoon. Not forgiven nor forgotten.
It is brilliant how the same people (who most often that not are college educated) can say that europeans are monsters for the crusades (1097) and not give a damn, or even know a thing about piracy and enslaving of europeans by muslim barbary pirats (which lasted at least until 1830). I find remarkable such a brainwash.
As Bill Warner stated in Political Islam, muslims want to win. Westerners are happy to draw. In sports, we all know how that usually ends.

Allow me to share my personal experience. When dealing with people like that, you need to keep in mind that you’re addressing people who just want to show how good and nice they are. They act upon feelings, so facts and logic won’t work. When they call you a “xenophobe” (or racist, or islamophobe), they’re gtting you on the defensive. You need to go on the offensive and get them on the defensive. You do that by showing you care more about the “refugees” than they do. You prepare the field by saying that the war in Syria is a human tragedy, with the barbaric islamic state (sneak that one in, don’t call it ISIS or daesh, and don’t go after anyone who tells you that it’s “self proclaimed” or that it’s not islamic) killing innocent people in increasingly horrific ways. Tell them it’s a tragedy and that Europe needs to do something to help those people because that’s what Europe is. Then you go on the offensive. The best plan of action that Europe can set for the sake of the refugees is:
1) assist whoever is fighting the barbaric islamic state (meaning Assad)
2) make sure that people fleeing the war in Iraq and Syria are set up in nearby nations
If you can set that up, you can turn the tables on anyone who tries to call you a “xenophobe” because you can appeal to feelings and present yourself as more righteous than them. “You’re a xenophobe, you just don’t want them here”! Is that so? Are they saying they should we encourage people fleeing for their lives from a war to go on a long and dangerous journey, which leaves them in risk of being exploited by ruthless human traffickers? Have they never heard the reports about thousands of children lost during the long, arduous journey? Of thousands of women raped by human traffickers? Do they not care about those women and children? Even if the “refugees” do make it to Europe, what then? They’re in an area completely different to their own, where people have a culture and a language completely different to their own. How can they expect to work for a living, or even get along with the local populace? Is it not much more humane to pay nearby countries to take them in for the duration of the war? Are they not better in a place that’s linguistically, culturally, religiously and geographically closer to the place where they lived all their lives? Plus, according to a study, it costs 12 times to take a refugees to the US (I’m guessing that it will be a little lower in Europe) than to take it to a country neighbouring Syria:
http://cis.org/High-Cost-of-Resettling-Middle-Eastern-Refugees
Ask them if they’d rather have one refugee safe in Portugal (after possibly having been raped by human traffickers) or twelve refugees safe and sound after a short, safe trip to, for example, Turkey. Either they have to agree with you or you can present them as soulless monsters who don’t care about helping refugees, just about making themselves feel good.
If they go with the “we need them because of our aging population” argument, ask them if they would deny the refugees the right to return to their country once the war is over. Ask them if they would prevent Syrians and Iraqis to go and help rebuild their nation. If they go with the “migrants are a boon to the economy” argument, accuse them of not seeing refugees as human beings in dire need of help but as currency, as a thing to be exploited for profit. Whatever they say, turn the tables back on them by always going back to what’s better to the “refugees” – you can’t argue that you don’t want them there because you’re afraid of terrorist infiltrators or reenactments of what happened in Cologne, you need to always present things in such a way that the best for the “refugees” is not in your country but somewhere else, and that anyone arguing to the contrary is a monster. You’re a xenophobe? Well, they’re enablers of rapists and child molesters, and they’re needlessly risking the lives of the “refugees”.
“Unfortunatelly, when the subject is Christian-Muslim war in the Reconquista, the “you are a xenophobe” idiots believe it all ended in 1249 for Portugal and 1492 for Spain. But for radical muslims that was just yesterday afternoon. Not forgiven nor forgotten.”
Don’t your countrymen have basic history in school? Portugal went on to explore the African coast and make it all the way to India*, challenging the islamic control of the spice route, and Spain took the fight to muslims in the Pacific.
*There’s a great book by Nigel Cliff on the subject (although focused on da Gama’s voyages, it also briefly covers the islamic invasion of the Iberian Peninsula and the Reconquista to set up the mood that lead to those voyages) which I wholly recommend, and a cursory google search tells me it was translated to Portuguese:

Jack Diamond says
“Spain reacted to the March 2004 Madrid attacks by increased allegiance to the Arab world. Subsequently, Prime Minister Zapatero insisted he be present at the 60th anniversary of the Arab League in Algiers (March 22, 2005) where he proposed the creation of an Alliance of Civilizations. This body would operate in the political and cultural spheres for the rapprochement of Islam and the West, thereby fulfilling the wishes of the OIC. At a packed plenum of Arab leaders he laid out his project, which encompassed the themes of the Barcelona Process and of the Anna Lindh Foundation. However, he placed it in a much more ambitious in international terms through its correlation with a multilateral system and at the UN. The rapprochement between the West and the Muslim world fell into a UN strategy on a worldwide scale.
In November, 2006 in the name of the Alliance of Civilizations, a High Level Group (selected by Kofi Annan) submitted its Report. The Report adopted the Islamic view of history and shifted the blame to the West and Israel for the current conflicts that it claimed had started with European colonialism and Zionism, as if jihadist imperialism on three continents since the seventh century had been merely a pastoral stroll through uninhabited areas.”
–Bat Ye’or “Europe, Globalization, and the Coming Universal Caliphate” pg 93-94, 2011
The threat to Spain does not just come from ISIS, anymore than decisions made in Germany were some impromptu whim of Angela Merkel. The slow-motion suicide (getting faster by the day) is a cooperative venture. The “alliance of civilizations” is the betrayal of the West.
Jack Diamond says

The Iberian Coast – Spain, Andalusia, Portugal – were conquered 1300 years ago by Muslims. Spain could be on its way to becoming Erdogan’s Turkey – at the mouth of the Mediterranean Sea, if such an ominous Islamic threat, by a degenerate jihadi, proves valid. Spain was also a global colonizer, back in the virginal hey day, a half a millennium ago. In the end, it appears all European kingdoms of old have had these same North African and Middle East countries come back to bite them, severely, due to pathetically lax immigration laws, unsecured borders and a ridiculous amount of naivete. It would be a final catastrophe if one day the magnificent edifices, like Barcelona`s sacred “Basilica de la Sagrada Familia“, Madrid`s world famous Prado Museum or The Santa Maria la Blanca synagogue builty in Toledo in 1190 were reduced to rubble; as has been done, for devastating example, to the ancient Syrian landmarks in Palmyra, and the 6th Century Buddhas of Bamiyan, in Afghanistan, by the Taliban. This is all way past squeamish. Not just Spain, but all of Europe, in general, used to be a nice place to have your picture taken in front of post WWll. It`s becoming frightfully and sadly more difficult, daily, without abatement..

Yes, guerilla asymmetric warfare does work.
Our enemies are students of history. They’re not stupid. They know all they have to do is outlast the patience of the American People’s appetite for conflict. Then we go home, and they win.
In America, the people hold the power through their Congressional Reps, who control the war funding. So our enemies target the hearts, souls, and stomachs of the American People. Their weapons are propaganda, terror strikes, and photo/video of US Military body counts whenever they can.
Vietnam, Somalia, Iraq, and Afghanistan are all examples of this principle.
As Henry Kissinger said when asked if we could win in Afghanistan: “No, because we have exceeded the timeframe limits of patience the American People have for any given conflict, which is 4 1/2 years.”
Lesson learned: If we commit ourselves to war, we’d better go all in and achieve total victory within 4 1/2 years.

According to Islam the whole world is supposed to be “their land”, otherwise the previous invasion of pretty much all territory that is currently dominated by Islam wouldn’t be considered legitimate to them.
Islam is totally illegitimate so any Moslem dominated area is illegally occupied if you ask me. The rest of the world should proceed accordingly, starting with the oil fields.

Islam presents itself as a law above all laws: international law is trumped by Sharia.

You know, because they were so stooopid that they couldn’t tell how they lives were improved by the so-called “Golden Age of Islam”. There’s more to it, actually. The Portuguese and Spanish were so “enriched” by islamic multiculturalism that, after driving them out of the Iberian Peninsula, went on to return the favour in the Mediterranean sea, Africa (another Christian land under muslim occupation), India and Southeast Asia, and pretty much everywhere else they found them.

Excellent post with equally good comments, informative and motivating further inquiry.
My small contribution: Mark Swan, the index finger pointing skyward (which BHO does often, especially before fellow Muslims) is their way of proclaiming monotheism. They consider Chrristians to be polytheists, deserving dhimmitude and death; Jesus, to them, was nothing but a prophet and inferior to Muhammad. They know nothing about the living Word, mystery of the Holy Trinity, and much else concerning our faith. For that matter, not all Muslims are scholars, so the receive teaching and direction from their leaders and community mores. Our response to the index finger should be the pointing of the index finger upwards with the next two firmly together as a sign of unity.
We correctly blame leaders of Spain and other countries for allowing all this to take place, but we should not stop there, we should look up the chain of command: leaders of the promoters of the NWO, then, their CIC, Commander in Chief, Lucifer. We war not just against flesh and blood, and Jew and Christian Gentile have the same enemy, the enormous Dragon, the ancient serpent, Satan, cast down on earth and venting his last days in wrath against mankind, especially Jews and Christians. All this is carefully given to mankind to study in Revelation 12. From the first verse to the last, we are given an essential study in history, current events, and prophecy of near future events. The book closes with the declaration that Jew and Christian have the same spiritual mother, Israel.
Much of the Old Testament history of Israel applies to Christian nations today. We are not superior to the Jews of history in morality and holiness; we, as with all humanity, have the failings, equal in nature and amount. Isaiah 65 gives us the beginning of remedy given to the Jews long ago. Call on Him, He is waiting for us to return to the loving Father awaiting the prodigal son!
