The mainstream media is crowing over how this video apparently vindicates the earlier claim by their favored candidate, Hillary Clinton, that Trump’s words were fueling jihad terror recruitment. See, she was right all along! Or maybe al-Shabaab decided to try to overwhelm her massive negatives and get her elected.
But none of that is really important here. What is actually important is Hillary Clinton’s implicit point that if we stop insulting Islam and Muslims, or saying and doing things that she or they claim are insulting Islam and Muslims, then the jihad recruitment will lose its impetus. If Trump just hadn’t said that the U.S. should stop Muslim immigration, you see, which he said because of jihad terror, then there would be no jihad terror — right? Hillary Clinton was claiming that what makes for jihad recruitment is our insulting Islam: thus if we adopt Sharia blasphemy restrictions and refrain from insulting Islam, everything will be all right. Now the mainstream media is implying the same thing, and by no means for the first time. It is worth noting in this connection that groups such as the Organization of Islamic Cooperation routinely classify any honest analysis of how jihadis use the texts and teachings of Islam to justify violence and supremacism as insulting Islam and Muslims.
Irony of ironies, all this furor is over remarks made by Donald Trump, who himself last May denounced our free speech in Garland, Texas, thereby endorsing the idea of adopting Sharia blasphemy laws and censoring our speech to appease Muslims.
“Terror group uses Donald Trump soundbite in purported propaganda video,” by Reena Flores, CBS News, January 1, 2016:
Terror group al-Shabab, al-Qaeda’s Somalia-based affiliate, is using a clip from Donald Trump in a purported Islamist propaganda video — and it’s gaining traction among Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) online channels.
The nearly hour-long video, produced by al-Shabab’s media arm al-Kataib, uses a soundbite from the Republican front-runner’s speech in December calling for the “total and complete shutdown” of Muslims entering the country.
Preceding the Trump clip, a bite from the now-deceased al-Qaeda leader Anwar al-Awlaki, who was killed in a U.S. airstrike in Yemen in 2011, warns “Muslims of the West” to be cautious and “learn from the lessons of history.”
“There are ominous clouds gathering in your horizon,” al-Awlaki says in English. “Yesterday, America was a land of slavery, segregation, lynching, and Ku Klux Klan. And tomorrow it will be a land of religious discrimination and concentration camps. ”
The video then cuts to a clip from Trump’s South Carolina rally, where the GOP contender’s comments are met with loud applause: “And so remember this. So listen. Donald J. Trump is calling for a total and complete shutdown of Muslims entering the United States until our country’s representatives can figure out what the — is going on.”
Trump’s expletive is bleeped out.
The video returns to Al-Awlaki, who adds, “The West will eventually turn against its Muslim citizens.”
Also posted to the website of SITE Intelligence Group, the 51-minute, 44-second video is a larger call to black youths in the U.S. to convert to Islam. The video also cites other examples of perceived racial injustice, including recent police shootings, including the cases of Michael Brown in Ferguson, Missouri and Walter Scott in South Carolina….

Hello Jay — Allow me to parachute into your shrubbery briefly.
For those (including me) who have not been to a Trump rally, here is a video that shows why he electrifies people who go to see him at campaign events: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TlRTCxMAqC4
Four weeks ago, shortly after he proposed the temporary Muslim ban, ABC’s Sunday talk show host — and former Bill Clinton chief-of-staff — George Stephanopoulos had Trump on to discuss that on other developments.
The discussion lasts about 12 minutes. If you are really pressed for time, jump in at 3:46 without missing much. But the astonishing final segment — at around 10:16 — is when Stephanopoulos tries to sneak in a remark about Russia and Iran.
Trump is in the middle of a sentence, and so it takes a moment for him to realize what has just been said. When he get the snide-aside mentally processed, HE THEN PROCEEDS TO SHRED STEPHANOPOULOS’S BALLS.
Even if you think (as I also do) that Trump lacks the temperament and analytical-thinking depth for election, view this brief encounter with a leftist politically correct mainstream “journalist”. Then ask yourself who else would have been so effective in identical circumstances.

CORRECTION — START AT EXACTLY 10:10 FOR THE FINAL TESTICLES-IN-BLENDER SEGMENT.

To jihad3tracker- Thank you so much for providing that link for the interview with Donald Trump and George Stephanopoulos. I just now watched and listened to the entire interview. I am delighted to learn that Donald Trump is so quick and accurate on the uptake. He sounds to me just like Sam Waterston on “Law and Order”! In my view, Trump is not playing on people or preying on them either, he is just stating the truth about a great many issues that have gone wrong in America. And while there a lot of “sheeple” for the Dems and Repubs, there are also a lot of Americans who are tired of the games played by Democratic and Republican party politics. Thank you again, jihad3tracker.

jihad3tracker,
Yes, when Trump is good, he is surprisingly good. In that video you linked, Trump did totally slaughter Stephanopoulos, which was kind of amazing and very satisfying to watch. Stephenopolous again and again had no effective comebacks to Trump’s statements and seemed remarkably impotent. I’ve seen Trump do that to other liberal media figures. In the video, Trump sounds extremely engaged with, at home in, and knowledgeable about foreign policy, certainly far more knowledgeable than I gave him credit for. It’s true I’ve never seen a politician shred a liberal journalist so effectively. I watched the whole video. I think that video and other performances like it explain why Trump has long been ahead of the whole Republican pack by a long way. I don’t know that he should be president, but thus far he is the most effective politician by a long way on the Republican side. Whether he has the best chance to beat Hillary, I don’t know. But he is a surprisingly talented politician who just might end up as president.

She told us about this incident a couple weeks after 9/11.

BlueRaven, I was scanning the comments for the theme that you posted. In my way of thinking, the only way to prove the least age of the video is a reference to the most current event within–as the traditional method of dating a hostage-taker’s ransom video by showing a copy of a newspaper headline. Compare the established, least age of the video with the date of Her Thighness’s accusation against Donald Trump. It’s not as easy as “1 + 1 = 2”.
BlueRaven says
Scherado: not sure where the problem is – Hilary made remarks about three to four weeks back about the video surfaced in ISIS recruitment circle features DT. A video, apparently featuring DT and Hilary, is doing the round on African Islamic recruiter’s Phones. That is reported recently. I agree to collect dates and do a proper verification is resource consuming. Nobody is doing that.
Btw – ‘1+1=2’ is a simple solution but not always true! I never said 1+1=2, I stated add 1 and 1. The result normally depend on the application. For instance on a one-bit machine 1+1=0, and there are many other examples when 1+1 takes on a different value.

“Orthodox” Muslims — who actually take ALL of the Qur’an seriously and do what their “god” commands — do not need a Donald Trump to subjugate / rape / kill Infidels.
Sweden, Germany, England, France, Syria, Iraq, Nigeria lack a similarly outspoken person with the same kind of broad national platform, yet all of those nations know the consequences of merely being non-Muslim.
And, of course, the U.S. — before Trump proposed the temporary immigration ban — has gotten very familiar with Islam’s essential violence. Point that out to your clueless privilege-guilt friends, family, elected officials, clergy, and mainstream media idiocy-factories, if you want to bother wasting time in the comment sections..

Here is what I found about Trump’s comments on the Garland, Texas “Draw Muhammed” contest.
Trump: “I think it’s terrible, and we have to act very strongly,” … “And it looks like she’s actually taunting people — and it’s disgusting that it happened and everything else. But why are they doing [sic] drawing Muhammad? Isn’t there something else they can draw?”
Elisabeth Hasselbeck: “She [Geller] said no, there wasn’t another way, because you have to fight back against this war against freedom speech.”
Trump: “Well, I just say, they can’t do something else?” …“They have to be in the middle of Texas doing something on Muhammad and insulting everybody? It’s disgusting what happened, and we have to be very strong, but it looks to me like she’s somebody who is just taunting them.” … “What is she doing, and why is she doing it? And, you know, I’m one that believes in free speech, probably more than she does. But what’s the purpose of this? She’s taunting them — she’s probably, it’s very risky for her; I don’t know, maybe she likes risk. But what the hell is she doing, and what is the purpose of it?
Here is my analysis of Trump’s position: Trump personally disapproves of the speech/art because it is insulting and taunting. Trump did not recommend that any government apply any law to punish Geller for her speech, nor did express any desire to amend the Constitution to allow the government to do so.
Yet, Spencer interprets it this way: “[Trump] last May denounced our free speech in Garland, Texas, thereby endorsing the idea of adopting Sharia blasphemy laws and censoring our speech to appease Muslims.”
Spencer’s analysis is faulty. It is not reasonable to construe Trump’s comments as an endorsement of the idea of adopting any type of laws to censor anybody’s speech.
If Spencer were to object to Edward Hopper’s oil painting “House by the Railroad” because he thinks that it is taunting, disgusting, and insulting, then it would be unreasonable of me to claim that he wants Congress to adopt a law censoring Hopper’s speech to appease somebody.
wildjew says
Mr. Trump is entitled to disagree with AFDI’s Draw Muhammad / free speech event in Garland, Texas. For me it was the vehemence of his condemnations.
By “endorsing the idea of adopting Sharia blasphemy laws and censoring speech to appease Muslims” I take to mean Donald Trump provides ammunition to those who advocate censoring speech to appease Muslims.
If this is the only thing Trump has done in behalf of Islam and Islamic supremacism, you might have an case for Mr. Trump’s consistency on Islam, but it is not. Recently Trump suggested Israel is primarily responsible for facilitating a final peace arrangement with “Palestinian” jihadists. “Trump placed onus for lack of peace deal on Israel, saying it has to prove if it’s ‘willing to sacrifice.’
“Donald Trump revealed in an interview that forcing peace talks on Israel will head his priorities if elected – and that the onus for the lack of peace lies on the Jewish state, not the Palestinian Authority (PA). ” (Arutz Sheva)
‘…..After the speech, conservative activist Gary Bauer said that Trump had lost momentum by refusing to give a clear answer on Jerusalem.
“When it started, they were skeptical, and you could feel the room warming to him,” Bauer said. “I think he turned a lot of people. And then he lost them, because he couldn’t just say, ‘Of course, Jerusalem is (Israel’s) capital, we won’t negotiate on that.’ “

Over a 100 years ago Abdul -Baha the son of Baha’u’llah visited America and gave this chilling warning about what would happen if racism wasn’t snuffed out and described it as America’s weakness that would be exploited by her enemies””………..
“Abdu’l-Bahá in His arraignment of the basic weaknesses in the social fabric of the nation—of remedying, while there is yet time, through a revolutionary change in the concept and attitude of the average white American toward his Negro fellow citizen,
a situation which, if allowed to drift, will, in the words of ‘Abdu’l-Bahá,
cause the streets of American cities to run with blood, aggravating thereby the havoc which the fearful weapons of destruction, raining from the air, and amassed by a ruthless, a vigilant, a powerful and inveterate enemy, will wreak upon those same cities.”
Excerpt From: Effendi, Shoghi. “Citadel of Faith.” Bahá’í eBooks
This predicts that America will be attacked with weapons of destruction from the sky by an enemy around the time of mass race riots. Which race riots or when and if it gets to that time will tell but blacks being called to rise up is ominous and indicative of America’s failure to address racism.
Remember, the warning about this happening was over 100 years ago which was ignored and if American blacks who feel victimised by racism turn against American whites by joining Isis then America are vulnerable within.
Weapons amassed by a ruthless tyrant? Russia has weapons we all know that. Iran is very far away but did secretly amass weapons or try to.
Who knows? But now each case of racism is goin to be exploited by ISIS and radical Islam as they see the disunity in America between black and white as an opportunity to divide and conquer.
They’re saying ‘come to us, we will treat you properly not like the whites do’. To some that will be a very enticing message.
America needs to be united within to withstand radical Islam.

Deep rooted prejudices entertained by the whites; ten thousand recollections, by the blacks, of the injuries they have sustained; new provocations; the real distinctions which nature has made; and many other circumstances, will divide us into parties, and produce convulsions which will never end but in the extermination of the one or the other race.”

How to respond to Hillary’s charge?
One could just ignore her and hope the charge dissipates. It’s not likely to fizzle out because a no-response will encourage Hillary Clinton to push the point further – think Benghazi. Also, the media is running with the claim as if it were the gospel truth.
Or, one could dispute the charge by claiming it really isn’t stirring up the Mohammedans to do jihad, but if a causal relationship could be shown, then we should refrain from offending Mohammedans. This response implicitly agrees with the core of the charge that we should avoid hurting their feelings. For our own well-being, we must avoid this response because it will encourage more violence.
One could also respond defiantly, stating that we are not responsible for the violence and threats of violence by offended Mohammedans, and if they feel thus inclined, they are wrong to do so, and we will not be intimidated by such behavior. Furthermore, such behavior is incompatible with our way of life, and we will defend ourselves accordingly.
I believe Trump has those three choices in formulating a response to Hillary Clinton. The response he chooses will show his real stand on the matter. I hope he responds defiantly. I believe it would be reassuring to all of us here, that we have a political leader who grasps the problem.

Yes, if Trump stopped criticizing Islamic terror, then Islamic terrorists would stop being Islamic terrorists. That’s Hillary’s reasoning…
…but it’s an unconscionable manipulation of the electorate. Hillary encourages them to slumber while the jihad threat grows, making America more vulnerable to attack from emboldened terrorists.
Neither Hillary nor Trump understand the centrality of freedom of expression in the American system. That’s why neither is fit to be president.
eduardo odraude says
Trump was not against free speech, though his not understanding the intention of the Garland event shows that he is not someone hypervigilant about free speech, since if he were, he would have understood the Garland event right away. Does that mean Trump is no good on the Islam question? Certainly it means he is not perfect, but he might still be the best of the available crowd of candidates. No one else has broached a temporary moratorium on Muslim immigration. The thing about Trump, unlike the other politicians, is he might actually say what political correctness continually numbs people into neither seeing nor saying. PC blinds even many of those who are against it. It is a remarkable social force that probably effects even the brain chemistry and brain physiology of many. That Trump is free of it to a remarkable extent is a strong recommendation, because it allows him to see things that many no longer can see. .
