“If we want peace in the Middle East, Iran and Iranian Islam have a vital role to play,” said the Rev. Bernardo Cervellera. Good to see the Pope giving his blessing to a rogue regime with genocidal aspirations. It is a wise move and perfectly in line with the Melkite Greek Catholic Patriarch’s robust defense of Islam in the face of Muslim persecution of Christians. Cowardice, appeasement and fear are the hallmarks of the contemporary Catholic Church, and apparently requirements for the clergy. Jump on board and cower.
“Pope Francis meets Iran’s president to boost nuke deal, Mideast peace,” by Rosie Scammell, Religion News Service, January 26, 2016 (thanks to Steve):
VATICAN CITY — Pope Francis and Iranian President Hassan Rouhani met for talks on Tuesday (Jan. 26) — the first such encounter since 1999 — in a private meeting in which the pontiff pressed Rouhani on fostering Middle East peace and countering terrorism and arms trafficking.
The 39-minute meeting in the apostolic palace also touched on the landmark deal on Iran’s nuclear capacity that has been praised by the pontiff, and the two leaders discussed the situation of the church in Iran and interreligious dialogue.
“I ask you to pray for me. It’s been a pleasure and I wish you well in your work,” Rouhani said at the end of their talks, addressing the pope in Farsi through a female translator.
“I thank you for this visit and I hope for peace,” Francis said in Italian, aided throughout the appointment by a Farsi-speaking translator.
In a statement issued after the meeting, the Vatican described the talks as “cordial” and said “common spiritual values emerged” in the discussions.
The Vatican said Francis and Rouhani discussed religious freedom and “the important role that Iran is called upon to fulfill, along with other countries in the region, to promote suitable political solutions to the problems afflicting the Middle East, (and) to counter the spread of terrorism and arms trafficking.”
The Vatican visit was a key stop on a four-day visit to Italy and France by Rouhani that had been postponed after the November terror attack in Paris. The tour is seen as part of the effort by Rouhani and Iranian moderates to revive relations with the West and open Iran to business opportunities.
Francis can help promote the “thaw in diplomatic relations between Iran and other countries,” much as he did with Cuba and the U.S., the Rev. Bernardo Cervellera, editor of the Rome-based Asia News, told The Wall Street Journal. “If we want peace in the Middle East, Iran and Iranian Islam have a vital role to play.”
Estimates on the number of Christians in Iran vary between 100,000 and 300,000, and the number of Catholics is pegged at about 20,000.
Christians are a recognized religious minority and have certain rights, but they face strict limitations as well.
The release this month of an Iranian-American evangelical Christian pastor, Saeed Abedini, after more than three years in jail in Iran, allegedly for trying to set up house churches, underscored the religious freedom and human rights problems that have been flagged by the U.S. State Department.
Rouhani was joined at the Vatican on Tuesday by his foreign minister, Mohammad Javad Zarif, along with two representatives from the Iranian Embassy to the Holy See. The Vatican’s secretary of state, Cardinal Pietro Parolin, and Foreign Minister Paul Gallagher were also present.
In an exchange of gifts, Francis presented his guest with a medallion of St. Martin of Tours, a fourth-century French bishop depicted giving his cloak to a beggar. The pope told Rouhani it was a symbol of brotherhood.
Francis also gave him an English-language copy of his landmark 2015 encyclical on the environment, “Laudato Si’.” Noting that the papal letter had not been translated into Farsi, the pontiff also offered Rouhani a copy in Arabic.
The president in turn gave his host a rug hand-woven in Qom, a Shiite holy city in Iran, and a large book by artist Mahmoud Farshchian.
Rouhani arrived at the Vatican late in the morning for the one-on-one with the pope, a day after arriving in the Italian capital for high-level diplomatic and business talks.
The impetus for the European tour was the historic agreement signed last year by Tehran and six world powers, including the U.S., that requires it to curtail its nuclear program in exchange for the lifting of economic sanctions.
Francis cited the deal as one of the key achievements of 2015 “which give solid hope for the future,” along with the Paris climate change deal.
“I think first of the so-called Iran nuclear deal, which I hope will contribute to creating a climate of dÃ5/8tente [sic] in the region,” the pope told the Holy See diplomatic corps earlier this month….

Dear Lord,
Is the Pope so stupid he cannot read the Koran and Hadith himself? Or if he cannot be bothered, surely he can ask someone what Islam teaches?
Don McKellar says
If he actually DID read the Islamic texts, or if he had somebody like Robert Spencer who is an expert best-selling author on them to explain them and save time, then the Pope would know what everybody knows who have educated themselves on even the basics. The Pope would realize that while he was praying to God, the man beside him was praying to Satan and had deceived him. And I say this as an atheist making a simple observation — that’s what happened. And no doubt this ignoramus of a Pope heard Iranian President Hassan Rouhani say: Allah Akbar several times and nodded his head with a smile and approved — having no idea that Hassan Rouhani was saying: “Allah is Greater (than your god)” and was insulting his belief in Jesus’ divinity.
Sandra Lee Smith says
This Pope is a Jesuit; they are the core group around Satan in the NWO, with the Freemasons and banking houses, especially Rothschilds’, who form the innermost circle of the NWO. That NWO is Satan’s “baby” from the start. So it’s very likely those 2 men did have much common ground, spiritually speaking, like it or not. It’s truly disgusting and disturbing that a group which titles itself the “real”church is so very far from the origins in Israel, and around Jesus, as it currently is, and is going. But you cannot dance with the Devil and not pay the dues. The Jesuits were founded to eliminate Jews and destroy the Protestant Reformation: THAT was their charter. Only Satan could benefit from either, and in moving forward with that goal, they bound themselves to him.

“Feed not thy sovereign’s foe, my gentle earth,
Nor with thy sweets comfort his ravenous sense;
But let thy spiders, that suck up thy venom,
And heavy-gaited toads lie in their way,
Doing annoyance to the treacherous feet
Which with usurping steps do trample thee:
Yield stinging nettles to mine enemies;
And when they from thy bosom pluck a flower,
Guard it, I pray thee, with a lurking adder
Whose double tongue may with a mortal touch
Throw death upon thy sovereign’s enemies.”
Alarmed Pig Farmer says
Is the Pope so stupid he cannot read the Koran and Hadith himself?
I can’t speak for Spencer, but I think he would say is the Pope so *unwilling* that he *won’t* read them. The guy — Spencer, not Pope Frank — has got to be the world’s leader in cognitive dissonance, and the reasons for what’s going on is caused by something deeper seated than mere stupidity, although use of the term is certainly warranted. Faith is at the foundation of human nature; when faith is taken in a thing as preposterous, evil and dangerous, it itself becomes a boundless negative force. We’re conditioned into the assumption that faith is taken in something good, but we see here that ain’t necessarily so. Dreamy hope, fear of reality, whatever. In that sense Pope Frank, indeed most of us, are like Moslems themselves: we hold faith in something evil, something destructive.
There is no end to this, except the finality of Sharia. And then a bloody century or two of trying to dig out from under it. And, me, I have little faith that even that project, which seems inevitable now, will succeed.

Pope Frank hails from Buenos Aires, where the concept of free money (aka globo-socialism) took firm root back when he was a boy there. So he’s a double faith guy: one faith in the metaphysics of human potential, the other faith in the inherent goodness in mankind gone bad and ready to mass murder to make the lot of mankind much, much worse.

I am glad to read your message. i -a catholic myself- am struggling with this for a long time now. I even wanted to send a letter asking for the Catholic Chruch to no longer be registered as a catholic, but found out that the protestant church in my country says the same thing this Pope does. Thought I was the only one.
Sandra Lee Smith says
Sonja,
You’re far from the only one questioning and struggling. I grew up in an Italian Catholic neighborhood, attended masses with schoolmates and so on, for all I was never a member of a Catholic church; the point is I know it from the inside, and am old enough to remember catechism classes in public schools. I also find many of the Protestant churches today, equally repugnant, for their apostasy. All have fallen FAR short of the glory of the Lord and do not follow the tenets of the Christian faith. Turn to your Bible, and follow what IT tells you is the correct path; the Holy Spirit will, in fact, teach you from the Word, directly, ALL you need to know; and until you find a church body that actually teaches and follows what that teaches you, you’re better off away from the distortions and lies.
billybob says
“Common spiritual values emerged” in the discussions. Like what? What can there possibly be in common between Christianity and a vile supremacist ideology that denies Christianity? I just don’t get this pope sucking up to the Muslims. Islam is very clear: Christ did NOT die on a cross. Christ was NOT the Son of God. There is NO “Trinity”. Furthermore, Islam doesn’t recognize the equality of Man (which includes women) before God. Rather, it recognizes a hierarchy in which “Muslims are the best of people” (at least the men), then Muslim women (there are far more women than men in Hell, Muhammad observed), then Christians and Jews, then everybody else (who are equal in rank to slaves, because ideally, they are). The pope would find more common ground with an atheist with humanistic values than he can find with Islam.
Pastor Found says
As a Lutheran pastor I have been trying to commuicate just what you said. The truth. But there is another truth that many Catholics don’t know or agree even though it is not biblical. Both religons, .Catholic and Islam, say you are saved by your merits. But Titus 3:5 says, ‘Not by works of righteousness are you saved. ” Well you get the idea. Saved by grece as a gift not by works. Eph 2:8-9. The Pope has more incommon with Islam then you think. .
MM says
Well, actually it is Catholic Doctrine that you need the grace of God to be saved, but that you can refuse to be saved by your own will. So you need grace by the flawed nature of man (due to original sin) you need the grace of God. But even if God wants to save you, by your free will you can choose not to believe in God and/or commit crimes, sins of a more general kind etc.
Rev. Matthew Schroeder says
What you have said is absolutely false. The truth is that the One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church does not believe in the UNBIBLICAL DOCTRINES of sola Scriptura and sola fide, because they are clearly contrary to the revealed Word of God. “You see then that we are justified by works, AND NOT BY FAITH ALONE.” (James 2:24) The fact that the Bible makes this point so directly and clearly is the very reason why the heresiarch Martin Luther wanted to delete the Epistle of James and four other New Testament books from the corpus of Divine Revelation. There is no verse of Holy Scripture that teaches the doctrine of justification by faith ALONE. The orthodox doctrine is that we are justified by the Faith (the article is included in every case in the Greek text) and WORKS. Matthew 25 clearly shows this, as mankind is divided in the Judgment on the basis of WHAT THEY HAVE DONE. It is also shown in numerous places. For example, the Savior Himself tells us, “if anyone would come after Me, LET HIM DENY HIMSELF, take up his cross and follow me.” Further, the Savior tells the rich young: “If you would enter into life, THEN KEEP THE COMMANDMENTS.” There are absolutely no passages in Holy Writ that suggest in the slightest degree that all we have to do is sit on our hands and have faith. Such a “faith” is only institutionalized presumption on God’s mercy.
Les says
Thank you Reverend Schroeder. The protestants like Luther, Calvin, Zwingli, King Henry et el were nothing less than heretics who protested against Jesus’ one and only apostolic Church. Lies from Protestants against Catholics like justification by works alone, worshiping idols and Mary, the Holy Eucharist is only a symbol et el are all heresies and biblically unfounded. Do Protestants not understand that the Bible came from and is from the Catholic Church?! Thankfully Jesus promised that the gates of Hell will not prevail against His one Holy Catholic Church!

Asking Iran to play a role in peace is like asking the DEVIL to preach the Gospel?
There is do much persecution of MINORITIES. What us Ziran going to do about that when she persecuters her own minorities??
The poor Christians and Ziroastrians raped and treated like filth. What’s Iran going to do??
I understand the pope wants peace but to receive the DEVIL HIMSELF as a GUEST who persecuters ALL minorities in Iran. WHY.?
Forget the smiling face. In Iran they call it ‘TAROFFING’ meaning just for show.
Look at this guys DEEDS not his TAROFFING.
People need to know about these cultures and how TAROFFING is just a deceptive lie and you can only know a person by their DEEDS in these countries
Sometimes the most evil of people have the sweetest tongues.
The west needs to learn this quickly or it will be deceived very easily.
Most intelligence and security would know this but not the average person. .
Westman says
That’s absolutely true. How astounding it is that Christian leaders don’t care that Islam denies the divinity of Christ; that there is no Gospel?
I’m actual Agnostic, and even I can recognize when a Christian leader equates his religion to zero. These religious leaders that cozy up to Islam are a reincanation of Judas. They are wolves among their own flock.
Chris says
Right on the money.
Sandra Lee Smith says
There’s your problem, Billybob; you’re mixing the RCC with Christianity, which it has NOT followed in centuries, except in the most loose sense possible. This Pope is a Jesuit; and those are the central core of Satan’s NWO, which they have been leading the formation of since 1540, as they seek to eliminate Jews (antisemitism is rampant in the RCC and in much of the world through them), and to destroy the Protestant Reformation: the 2-pronged mission with which they were ordained. They, thus, DO have much in common with Islam, and little with Christianity as taught by Jesus and the Apostles, despite their claims.

But instead, he gives out a copy of his own book on global warming. Francis sounds like a narcissist, like LBJ handing out busts of himself.

Better yet, give the rat this zinger, hand inscribed and illuminated on the finest vellum:
The Regensburg lecture or Regensburg address, which was delivered on 12 September 2006 by Pope Benedict XVI at the University of Regensburg in Germany.
“The controversial comment originally appeared in the 7th of the 26 Dialogues Held With A Certain Persian, the Worthy Mouterizes, in Anakara of Galatia, written in 1391 as an expression of the views of the Byzantine emperor Manuel II Palaiologos, one of the last Christian rulers before the Fall of Constantinople to the Muslim Ottoman Empire, on such issues as forced conversion, holy war, and the relationship between faith and reason. The passage, in the English translation published by the Vatican, was:
“Show me just what muhammad brought that was new, and there you will find things ONLY EVIL AND INHUMAN, such as his command to spread BY THE SWORD the ‘faith’ he preached.”
billybob says
@Huck Folder
I loved your comment. Unfortunately, it didn’t have a reply button, so I don’t know where this comment will fall in relation to yours. Loved your “Give the rat this zinger” anagram. Even more, I certainly would love to read the text you refer to. I do recall the controversy and mayhem that ensued when Ratzinger merely quoted from it for illustration.
I wrote my comment far above last night, but this morning awoke with a larger perspective. Why did the Pope lie about Islam being so wonderful?
Think about it… Once some Pope nowadays opens up with the truth about Islam, he will put millions of Catholics all across the world at risk from jihad attacks. How can the Pope set his church up as a target when he has no backup from Western political leaders? Fine and good for a Pope to denounce Islam and get assassinated if it were just he, but the blood of millions of Catholics will be on his hand.
Gee – I didn’t think this comment would actually end up defending the Pope. In fact, originally it accused the Pope of being a coward. Now I’m not so sure. Look – when you have the leader of the most powerful nation on Earth saying the future does not belong to those who slander the prophet of Islam, and all the other Western leaders importing the barbarian hordes wholesale, wouldn’t you would feel perhaps that nobody has your back?
Rev g says
Since when is the truth, as verified by holy writ of the religion in question, called slander?
Truth is truth, even if it reveals something vile and hateful.
You give the pope too much credit. If he is attempting to save mortal lives at the expense of their immortal souls, he is not doing his job.
Pong says
Billibob.
Only a sick mind can come up with such excuse for the pope.
To make it even more nauseating, you drug in a lye, referring to “millions of catholics” the pope will put in danger by telling the trough about islam. By appeasing islam this miserable pretender of a human (together with those, making excuses for him) really putting catholics (along with other non-moslems) in mortal danger.
I thought that after appeasement of islam has been demolished on many occasions, those attemps will stop. No. Again and again catholics drug it in on every occasion to pain their immoral faith in rosy colors. By throwing this pope under a bus, you cannot hide the sickening nature of catholic faith. Remember, he wasn’t the first pope to kiss koran, support “palestinian strugle” and adopt anti-semitic policies, at the same time preaching peace, harmony and interfaith dialog. More then 10 years ago on this blog I pointed to the direction the church was going. Unfortunately, I was right. This trend will continue. It may slow down with another pope, but direction will not change.
Sandra Lee Smith says
I believe this pontiff KNOWS exactly what he’s doing; and that this is, in fact, part of the agenda his order has been pursuing since its ordination. Truth be told, he’s my #1 candidate for the role of false prophet, as foretold in Revelation. By the prophecy of Malachy, a Medieval RCC priest, this pope is the LAST Pope the RCC will have; and if you delve a bit into Muslim prophecies as well as OT and NT prophecies, which all meld a bit too nicely as to timing, I truly believe we are at that point.
Walter Sieruk says
That the pope likes his travesty of a “deal” with Iran and even gives some kind of blessing to this tyrannical Islamic regime shows the there must be something wrong with him . If some people are offended by my keyboarding this, well my goal the type the truth and not to please. For the following two facts are enough to exposes that statement as true. First ,the Islamic tyranny the that so falsely has the word “republic” in its title is very harsh and cruel and oppressive to the Iranian people. Even vicious through ruthless gang of thugs who are that Islamic state’s police who are called “the Revolutionary Guards ” That a man,s the pope , who claims to love people and peace would have anything to do with or anything positive to say about this heinous and oppressive Islamic regime shows that something is wrong with him. Second the Islamic regime had it foundation on a constitution that is based on the Koran. The Koran denies the many doctrinal truths of the Bible that are the very foundation of Christianity. For example, the Koran denies that Jesus is the Son of God, Who is God the Father.. This Koranic denial is in strong contrast to the Bible which teaches that Jesus is ,indeed, the Son of God, As in ,for example, Matthew 3:16,16. 15:15,16. Luke 1:35. John 3:16,17,36. First John 2;22,23. 4:14,15, 5:12,13. The Koran also denies the Jesus is God the Son, This Koran denial is in great contradiction to the Bible .For the Bible teaches the Jesus is God the Son, As revealed in Hebrews 1:-8. With emphasis on verse 8. Likewise, the Koran also denies that Jesus is God. This Koranic denial is also in great contrast the Bible which teaches that Jesus is God As shown in John 1:1-3 .Colossians 1:15-`17. Romans 9:5. Second Peter 1::1. Titus 2;13. First John 5:20. The list can go on but this should be enough . So as for the pope, in the way he is concerning this hideous Islamic regime of Iran, shame on him.
Matthieu Baudin says
“…Good to see the Pope giving his blessing to a rogue regime with genocidal aspirations … Cowardice, appeasement and fear are the hallmarks of the contemporary Catholic Church …”
A Rogue Regime whose main aim has been to more deeply entrench an alien Arab state religion within Persian culture and society. To do this it first deported the cream of the revolution to live out their lives in exile, primarily in France and the U.S. Following this first cleansing it was time for some Stalinist style terror which saw the liquidation of their political allies the Tudor community party. Having not yet satiated their taste for violence and retribution, thousands of young armed resistance fighters and sympathisers were imprisoned, tortured, raped with religious sanction and finally executed at the whim of the regime. The atrociously high rates of ongoing court sanctioned executions keeps the flame of fear alive in the hearts of the population while the young are perpetually harassed by an enforced morality code that’s both petty and vicious.
In its external relations the regime of the Mullahs has sought to solidify its authority by making enemies of near neighbours and distant foe by keeping up a barrage of frenetic hate mongering which led it to tear up diplomatic protocols, smash up embassys and then led it into war with Sadam’s Iraq following a prolonged display of sabre rattling and frenzied invective. The genocidal ranting against the people of Israel is in line with the regime keeping up the illusion, for local consumption, that most of the world is against Iran and that the regime must therefore remain solid and strong.
The truth however is that the regime has few real friends because of its unpredictability and many that would like to see it exit the political stage, while on the other hand, it is rare to find anyone, anywhere, who has a particular antipathy towards ordinary Iranian people while there are many who feel immensely sorry for them.

In islam, there is no value…no virtue, nothing worthwhile.
In islam there is no spirituality. In islam, it is all murder, mayhem, and lust…for any physical outlet…lust for women, little children, blood, war, killing, subjugation…all physical, not a spiritual bit in any of their thoughts or actions.
Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel, and Paul all wrote about those *saying peace* when there is no peace.
And these two…meeting on a *common* something-or-other…sitting at the same table.

Wellington says
Pius XI and Pius XII had interactions with Nazi Germany because Realpolitik concerns forced these popes to (just as was the case with many traditional Western nations like Britain, France and America where Nazi Germany was concerned), but neither Pope was naïve about what Nazism stood for, examples proving such being the papal encyclical, Mit Brennender Sorge, published in 1937, and Pius XII’s 1942 Christmas message (both of which infuriated Hitler).
But Pope Francis I is NOT in the mold of Pius XI and Pius XII (this latter pope saved more Jews than any single person in history, though so many to this very day don’t realize this, but I don’t want to digress onto this topic again). By contrast, Francis is actually foolish enough to think that Iran can play an active role in establishing peace in the Middle East. Pius XI and Pius XII were NEVER so naïve. They knew what Nazism was about from the get-go. Francis, by comparison, seems to still hold out hope that Islam is somehow OK and Iran really could advance peace in the Middle East, this serving as mind-boggling ignorance of the first order.
The previous pope, Benedict XVI, was in the mold of Pius XI and Pius XII. He knew iniquity when he saw it. He saw Islam for the profoundly troubling ideology that it is. If Francis does, he’s kept it to himself because virtually all his actions and statements to date have only had the effect of whitewashing Islam. Oh yeah, the West has descent in the papacy as there has been with other major offices of Western Civilization, a few being the Presidency of the United States, the Prime Ministership of the UK and, most recently, the Prime Minstership of Canada (hard for me to forget that photo of the fool Trudeau on his knees with hands extended in a mosque praying to Allah—–yean, I think many of you know the one).
Fools leading the West abound right now. I don’t see how Francis can be counted out here. And damn him for this. The man seems more worried about carbon emission than the slaughter of Christians which is ongoing in the Middle East. And he keeps making excuse after excuse for the spiritual fascism which is Islam and which religion is a mortal enemy of Christianity, which one by now knows or should know. But I don’t think Francis does and this is not only a tragedy but arguably a crime as well.
Alarmed Pig Farmer says
The previous pope, Benedict XVI, was in the mold of Pius XI and Pius XII. He knew iniquity when he saw it.
And Benedict voiced that concern by quoting an unfavorable remark about Islam made at the end of the 14th century by the Byzantine emperor Manuel II Palaiologos, . And the news entertainers fried him like a bad piece of chicken before the world. Deploying the truth about Islam is verboten. Maybe Pope Frank learned that lesson and has no choice but to lead his flock, and the world, down the fantastical road to perdition.

I believe in one Lord Jesus Christ,
the Only Begotten Son of God,
born of the Father before all ages.
God from God, Light from Light,
true God from true God,
begotten, not made, consubstantial with the Father;
through him all things were made.
For us men and for our salvation
he came down from heaven,
and by the Holy Spirit was incarnate of the Virgin Mary,
and became man.
For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate,
he suffered death and was buried,
and rose again on the third day
in accordance with the Scriptures.
He ascended into heaven
and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
He will come again in glory
to judge the living and the dead
and his kingdom will have no end.
I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life,
who proceeds from the Father and the Son,
who with the Father and the Son is adored and glorified,
who has spoken through the prophets.
I believe in one, holy, catholic and apostolic Church.
I confess one Baptism for the forgiveness of sins
and I look forward to the resurrection of the dead
and the life of the world to come. Amen.

However much I disagree with some of the content at Jihad Watch, as a Baha’i I’m treated much more humanely here than on some other websites and if I was in Iran I would probably be sentenced to 20″years for ‘spreading corruption'(my beliefs and views)
So Iran can blatantly oppress its own people and get visited by popes and probably presidents soon.
I’m not against peace I’m all for it but just how sincere are Iran when they don’t permit freedom of religion in their own country??? They lock up people for 20 years for similar things I’ve said on Jihad Watch.
Thank you Jihad Watch for having me here and putting up with me. I know I’m a pain sometimes (or always) but to have freedom of opinion is precious to me and there are not all that many places where these freedoms are unconditionally practised towards all.

I honestly think he is kind of low on the intellectual level. Many of the recent past popes have known 5 or more languages are very well read, have a strong sense of history. But I think he is pretty dense. All this foolishness is just sheer stupidity. He is trying to make friends or peace with devils. Big mistake.
As a practicing Catholic I am resolved to have to pray for him. But I pray God stops him before he can do anymore damage to the Church or the world. No Nukes for Iran. I stand with the peoples of Israel. But I also believe they need to convert. As Catholicism is the old covenant fulfilled. It is their inheritance. From various sources he also is given to outburst, not the actions of a well disciplined “Western” man.

Precisely. Frank (let’s not dignify his claim to be connected to St. Francis of Assisi etc.) was a second-tier foot soldier in the 1970s communist movement in Argentina.
Frank’s position in the Church proved was useful, and he proved himself as an obedient foot shill willing to follow order from the much more educated and ruthlessly atheist communist “cadres.” Frank’s complete lack of intellectual curiosity made him easy to handle, and “liberation theology” served as a handy, one-way ideological slide from socially compassionate Catholicism into murderous, atheist totalitarianism.
There can be little doubt that Frank’s career as a front man for communist “community organizers” gave rise to massive covert activities to smooth his rise to cardinal and ultimately his election to the papacy, probably with active and well-financed involvement by various governments including Obama’s U.S. administration.
To get a real measure of Frank’s utter lack of intellectual caliber, listen (if you have the strength) to Frank’s recent speech to Congress in support of totalitarian government under the guise of fighting “climate change.” It is obvious from this cringe-worthy performance that Frank had NEVER EVEN READ the text of “his own” speech, and simply did not understand many of the words and sentences that he attempted to read.
In sum, Frank has always been and continues to be a cut-out for ruthless backroom (or back palace) operators.

I had twelve years of Catholic schooling and never once did a priest or nun convey to me anything like what this site dispenses——–and this was back in the fifties and early sixties when I was a boy.
Be careful, Champ. Those of us who oppose nonsense must never be found supporting nonsense. Different opinions, yes. But nonsense never.

I am surprised as to how he got elected to be Pope. The Iranian regime wants the total destruction of Israel the cradle of Christianity and here we have the Vatican talking nonsense. When will these European countries and the west learn of rouge Muslim countries with bad intentions towards countries that are not Muslim.

Benedict -Jorge Bergoglio was elected ONLY because of “illegal campaigning” within the Vatican. Every Pope since Pius XII (1958) has been a “false and illigitimate Pope”! Do some research on Cardinal Siri, of Genoa, who would have been the “legal” Pope Gregory XVII in 1958 and you will understand why. That is when communism took over the in the Vatican!

But why cover them? Save time and money and demolish them all as they are offensive to Muslims, who will demolish them anyway. About a year ago I read an article about the predicted fate of such statues when Muslims eventually take over.
Things seem to be developing faster than what we think, just look at how MSM manipulates the news (and comments) and how the police handles Muslims’ crimes. Look how the banking system suddenly became sharia compliant and how almost all food chains now sell halal. I find it amazing that anyone in 2016 with the scientific knowledge available to all still believes these inventions from the past.
Even if you accept any of it there is so many contradictions and inconsistencies that it requires you to suspend your critical faculties to believe it.Just one example from above. How can Jesus be revered by Muslims when his message of love and meekness etc is the complete opposite of the message of death to People of the Book(Christians and Jews) in the Qur’an and the actual persecution of Christians in Iraq,Syria,Saudi Arabia. This would be the case in the West if Muslims ever became a majority which is a very real possibility in the smaller countries like Denmark Belgium etc Dealing with Muslim countries is tricky as they tend to be two faced if they think it to their advantage.Pakistan, Iran,Saudi Arabia are perfect examples. As for the Pope and Roman Catholicism the history of that Church does not bear too much scrutiny given its treatment of Copernicus,Galilleo and other great scientists and thinkers and the Inquisitions of heretics and other non believers
Why can’t people just accept that we came out of the stuff of the Universe More of us could have a better life if we stopped believing such nonsensical inventions and old books from ignorant desert people hundreds and thousands of years ago

Forgive me if I seem confused. The Pope/Rouhani announcements regarding the Nuclear ‘Deal’ ‘Agreement’ ‘Principles’, none of those adjective names apply. All that exists is a sheet of paper signed BHO. The Iranians have gone out of their way to claim that their Parliamentarian members never endorsed it. Iran keeps interpreting it the way it wants to and Obama/Kerry keep ignoring violations. The kicker being Netanyahu’s prediction that the Sanction Dollars will find its way to terrorism. Obama and the Democrats ridiculed the Prime Minister. They all sounded like robots Durbin, Pelosi, Feinstein Boxer Obama with the exact talking points. The other day oops Kerry tells us some of those dollars will go to terror. So what if Americans die as result. Obama and Kerry got their Deal. The Pope keeps vying for the safety of the Flock (is he). It only gets worse. Did they ice Benedict to get rid of him, blackmail, poison to impair his cognitive abilities? He knew the Muslim and was outspoken. Where do we go from here.

Hitler made a Concordant with Pope Pius X11. Is the Catholic Ivory Tower crapping in their pants again.
RICHARD W COMERFORD says
Mr. Gad:
The treaty in question was signed in 1933 by Vatican Secretary of State Eugenio Pacelli on behalf of Pope Pius XI and Vice Chancellor Franz von Papen on behalf of President Paul von Hindenburg and the German government. The concordat did not cite either Hitler or the NAZI Party.
The Vatican signatory, later Pius XII, was described by the Nazi Party as a “Half Jew” and the spokesman of the criminal Jews.
IIRC the concordat is still in effect today.
God bless

There could be a silver lining here. Most of the middle East is Sunni muslim. The Shia are minority. If you boost the Shia the Sunni and Isis will fight the Shia. If they are fighting, they aren’t fighting you. Soooo that might give other people a little time to regroup and get rid of the Sunni. Canada’s Just-in Turdeau did the same thing today; typical heeldess liberal masochism.
Here’s the French leftards in Calais in action!
(YES their decree that countries should have no borders or property rights DOES also extend to the very homes of the citizens)!
In a tribal gangster (criminal extortionist) society, you not only have no property rights, you also have no right to defend yourself against the rest of the tribe!
https://youtu.be/Pc1G_pa1-c8
“Property is theft!”
– Karl Marx –
Our societal masochism is a result of criminals advising everyone to “ACT LIKE A VICTIM!” in order to remain irresponsibly wrong.
This defeatist stance is even enforced by the police and so-called “mental health (illness)” establishment industry – victimology enforcement – and of course also by the indoctrinated excuse-making idolatry of the “SOCIAL JUSTICE WARRIORS:”
i.e: “If we don’t rush in first, then some other fools will beat us to it!”
It’s simple, cowardly, treasonous masochism: (which all liberals are afflicted by) – when they see something they fear, their immediate response is to Submit to it:
“We have to let the violent criminals do what they want to us, or else they’ll do what they want to us anyway!”
In this way, they hope to avoid the fear of pain, by pre-emptively inflicting that pain on themselves (thus cancelling the auxiliary pain caused by the fear)! See?
So masochists will always try to pretend to be able to “control” their fears, BY causing those very same, worst-case scenario problems (like, by inviting in hordes of barbaric savages whom they KNOW want to murder us all, and by slandering those innocent people who don’t want to be murdered as “racists!”) which cause the pains they fear the most.
The liberal’s Bottom line?
“WE’RE ALL HELPLESS VICTIMS, AND IF YOU DARE TO DISAGREE OR DENY IT, WE’LL KILL YOU!”
Exactly “like” islam itself!
UNCLE VLADDI says
This idiocy comes direct from suicidal, masochistic Christianity itself:
“Resist ye not evil men!”
“ALWAYS turn the other cheek!”
“Vengeance is the Lord’s ALONE, never yours to take!”
Thus we have now reached the point where suicidal masochism is held up to be the highest moral virtue, and offending criminals by hurting their feelings by accusing them of their crimes is the only real sin.

Muslims are “our brothers” and Christians must cultivate “mutual respect” with them. These were the words of Pope Francis yesterday during the Angelus, a message which could signal a turnaround in the relationship between the Catholic Church and Islam. This changing tide can even be seen in the words used in addressing Muslims. This is the first Pope to have referred to Muslims in such direct and explicit terms as “our brothers”. This would have been practically unthinkable even up until the recent past.

It’s a pity that I’m reaching a conclusion based upon second party information but I think this Pope is a dimwit. There is is something or right right with him. It’s his sense of reality, maturity child-like trust. Benedict knew exactly what he was dealing with and publicly expressed it. He didn’t voluntarily ‘retire’ first Pope in how many centuries to do so. I’ve seen no interviews nor contact which is odd. Then we go back and have this dimwit who no one questions about his judgement.

I think you’re mistaken about Francis. First 2 pirces if info that came out about him were very telling: he’Argentinian (grew up under Juan Péron’s Marxist regime), and he’s Jesuit. Everything he’s done since is wholly in keeping with those 2 facts. Likely the problem lies in insufficient understanding of the Jesuit mission and of Péron’s regime.Beyond that, his actions pl ace him as “front runner” for the post of “false prophet” as dmescribed in Revelation, including his current position as sitting pope. See also related prophecies concerning “mystery Babylon”, the “1world religion”, the rise of “Chrislam” and related “inclusive” religious systems ( Baha’i, New Age, etc), many of which Francis is either openly or covertly condoning, even promoting within the RCC.
Sandra Lee Smith says
How about if he’s NOT an idiot, but a servant of the same Satan, whom his “Muslim brothers” worship, and HE is tasked with leading the world’s RCC millions right straight to the lake of fire? Would that not make more sense of his words and actions?
madmemere says
Jorge Bergoglio is NOT a legitimate Pope; we have not had one since the death of Pius XII in 1958! Each one, since that time, has NOT been a legal, genuine Pope. Please research Cardinal Siri of Genoa, who would/should have been Pope Gregory XVII, immediately after the death of Pius XII, in 1958!
Sandra Lee Smith says
Just curious: where did you come up with this? Far as I knew the succeeding popes were all legitimately selected up to, but not necessarily including Francis. I was here for and recall their elections, but as a non-Catholic may have missed something there.
madmemere says
Sandra -Matter of fact, I don’t really remember “what” got me started on this, but a few months ago “something” sent me to my search bar! I first typed in Cardinal Siri of Genoa and several links appeared; something from wikipedia and several others. Running through those links were other references, including the info about his choice of title (Pope Gregory XVII)! Info about Cardinal Angelo Roncalli, who became Pope John XXIII; other links talked about the “illegal campaigning” that went on prior to Cardinal Siri’s selection- – AND during the selection of Bergoglio! iI seems “campaigning” is illegal, according to Vatican Law!! I even learned some additional Catholic history about Pious Shepherdess, Melanie Calvat, whom I had never heard of before! It was also noted that communist influence had infiltrated the Vatican, back in the 60’s. By all means, check the links. I do not bother with google, nor snopes; they are neither accurate nor trustworthy; I find wikipedia most useful; you may have other search choices.
Sandra Lee Smith says
I grew up in a predominantly RCC area, and picked up a lot. I seem to recall campqigning was considered unacceptable, although Idon’t know that I was aware it was actually illegal. I do hate to burst your bubble about Wikipedia, but their own header contains the disclaimer that anyone can post anything there and claim it as fact, without credentials or evidence. That’s no more reliable than Snopes, Google or Fact Check. Other sources maybe. However, I suspect there may well have been behind the scenes machinations manuevering to place Francis, and those who would lead Catholics up to acceptance of him, starting with Roncalli, who gave us Vatican II, and allthat’s followed. The prophecies of Malachy may also have played a subtle role, but the prime movers would likely be the Jesuits themselves, and their allies. I will look Siri up and see where it takes me.
