  6. Yeah, I believe that at first most of the people who were buying could be more or less characterized as conservative linen, but now the spectrum got much more diverse. People from all walks are talking about this with less fear, over and over.

  7. After reading almost all of the worlds holy texts over many years (Buddhist, Egyptian, Bible, Mormon, Gnostic, Hindu, etc etc etc), for some reason I had not yet read the Quran. It was the last holy book left for me to read. I had always had a mental idea that, since it was later than the New Testament, it would somehow expand on the gospels. How WRONG I was !

    Reading the Quran was an experience similar to reading Mein Kampf. The implications of the text are quite scary. I was simply horrified. Now that I have also been reading Hadith and biographies of Mohammed it is getting even more scary.

    • Apparently Mein Kampf is unreadable, more bought (at the time it was popular) than read.

      The holy texts of slam were being read, studied and used to regulate the lives for more than thousand years.

      But West surely had a strong blind spot for these texts. The suffering of non-islamic people far enough for the West was something the West wasn’t interested about.

      I’m not surprised about your mental idea, you’ve obviously often enough heard, maybe even unconsciously, “the religion of peace.”

      • “Holy texts”, the Quran? Holy cow. That pile of steaming hate, genocide of Jews, personal slavery, subjugation of women, and violence against unbelievers from the heavenly slave master isn’t suitable as scrap paper. It’s currently leading the ME to economic oblivion. Eventually there will be another hijrah – out of Islam – to survive.

        Let me know when there is a mass migration from the West to a Muslim country. It will never happen. Allah built his economic plan on parasitism which needs a host. The oil Arabs don’t want them and the supply of ME unbelivers has been exhausted.

        “Go West Young Man”, said Horace Greeley, and it is still applicable today. However, there is a limit to the West’s largesse for parasitism. Expect civil war if Muslims attempt permanent parasitism on the West. Allah may not have a work ethic, however, Democracy insists upon it.

        • The “holy texts” for Muslims are obviously not holy for anybody else, I fully agree.

          We should be aware of them as they are obviously a remaining problem for the rest of the world.

        • Yes–when I first read the Qur’an I thought it would have a few violent passages, but I was completely unprepared for the flood of violence and hatred.

          I also read it before I had the slightest idea of abrogation, which makes it much, much worse. Even without this piece of information, I was utterly horrified.

          I have friends and loved ones who refuse to read it–I think they just don’t wan to know.

      • Hitler was heavily influenced by the koran and islam in writing Mein Kampf (My Struggle).

    • No fear! Exactly me too! When I finally picked up the Qur’an I just knew there would be much enlightenment for your same reason, the years that had passed. I was sure I would be able to convince some family “islamophobes” that it was grounded in the Gospel. Hahahaha! Imagine my astonishment! Not only was it hateful, it was the most BORING tome I have ever read. The conclusions I came to about world domination by Islam I acquired all by myself before searching farther for more information. And it dawned on me, if I CAN GET THIS from the Qur’an, then so can everyone else. So I found this Jihad Watch blog.

      I am grateful for the good, solid, KNOWLEDGEABLE minds here, (epecially Champ and Gravenimage for being vehemently honest with me) and of course Robert Spencer is the BEST! I bought his book about ISIS and couldn’t put it down. THANKS ROBERT!

    • To Carl and Wakeup: If you are so keen on the GOP, you guys better support your candidate actively, for if you don’t, the alternative will be Clinton who wants to *emulate* Merkel. Read below what I just finished on Merkel, her methods etc. – then get out and start putting up posters or whatever for your favored GOP guy.

      Right after the November 1989 demonstrations in Berlin against the SED – regime, Angela Merkel joint the “Demokratischer Aufbruch” (democratic start/begin), an initiative of the CDU. Here, it somehow became apparent that the current spokes person was a former member of the Politbureau, who had consequently to resign; and Angela Merkel, who herself was the former FDJ secretary for Agitprop, advances immediately to the position of spokes person. Quick promotion, is it not? (translation: FDJ = Freie Deutsche Jugend – east Germany’s version of the Hitler youth; Agitprop = “Agitation und Propaganda” {same in English as in German})

      Next step in her career, Angela being dutiful and democratically minded, informed the press that the current chairman, Schnur, had previous connections with the STASI (Staats Sicherheits Dienst, E. Germany’s GESTAPO). Schnur had to resign, and surprise: Angela Merkel was now chair person of the Demokratischen Aufbruch.

      The 1990 spring election in east Germany was decisively won by the east German CDU, headed by Lothar de Maizière, who is now one of her ministers. Then came the reunification, and the east German CDU was absorbed by the west German CDU. And, miraculously Mrs. Merkel advances immediately to the position of spokes person of the now all German CDU, and becomes a member of the CDU’s Bundestags Fraktion. An eerie similarity to previous events, no?

      Helmut Kohl discovers her, and appoints her to the position of Minister for Family, Youth & Women – even though she doesn’t have any children, and lives in divorce. But that’s just a minor handicap for a highly competent career woman. And all that after only 14 months since she left her job in the FDJ (Freie Deutsche Jugend) as secretary for Agitprop. A political rocket-dragster if there ever was one.

      Remember de Maizière? Yes, the leader of the former east German CDU, and now the vice chairman of the all German CDU, that is the 2nd man after Chancellor Kohl; yes, him. You will be amazed to learn that suddenly rumours began to circulate that de Maizière too had been working for the STASI. Dear oh dear, he just had to resign. You wont believe this, but his job was taken by – you never guess – Angela Merkel. You think there’s a pattern here? What, with Mutti (Mammy) Merkel?

      That cannot be. But wait, whilst in her new position, somehow bad blood began to develop between Kohl and his minister for the Environment, Herr Töpfer. Yet, for a long time they were such good pals, Kohl and Töpfer. Naturally, he had to go. And Kohl therefore anointed his new successor. Yes! Angela Merkel… Why, could you actually think of anybody else?

      Now Kohl was chummy with Angela, he called her: Mein Mädchen, meaning: My Girl. If he had at least the faintest bit of prophetic powers, he’d called her – something else. But why should that be?

      Perhaps, because unfortunately for Herrn Kohl there developed a problem, some minor irregularities about monies from donations, somehow through an unknown source that become known. Somehow, any guesses? What did Kohl’s Mädchen do to support him? Nothing, on the contrary. She sat down and wrote an article in the very influential FAZ (Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung) and demanded Kohl’s resignation for moral reasons. Yes, for ‘moral reasons’ (sic!), she actually demanded and wrote that, her very words.

      So, like everybody else who was in Merkel’s way, Kohl had to go. Obviously. And so he did, he resigned, like other friends and mentors of Angela before him, Who, coincidentally of course, were also in her way. How does the old saying go? Don’t change a winning formula. Obviously, she doesn’t like change. As she emphasizes, stability and consistency.

      And so, after repeating the same pattern over and over again, she became the boss of the CDU. Which she is to this day. She rearranged the CDU, which is now practically left from the SPD (Social Democrats), her former boss de Maizière is back in business – as her underlining, he learned to toe the line. Well, he’d better.

      So what happened next?

      She allied with Friede Springer and Liz Mohn, and so got an excellent press, and they don’t come more excellent than that. Axel Ceasar Springer was Germany’s equivalent to Rupert Murdoch, Bild Zeitung, BZ, Morgen Post etc. etc. For the benefit of those who don’t know Germany, there are actually newspapers that don’t belong to the House of Springer – and that is really true, not a rumour. Liz Mohn, that means Bertelsmann Verlag, Europe’s largest publishing house. In other words, her PR side was covered, as in: COVERED! With the support of these two, opposing her amounted to political suicide. (BTW, check Zuckerberg, and where facebook reports Islamophobic hate speech to, complete with addresses and names of posters – check, in connection with Bertelsmann)

      Come 2005, prior to the election she attends the Bilderberg Conference, together with the then reigning Kanzler Schröder, of the SPD. Where she supported the Iraq war, which Schröder opposed, and thus gains the practically unified support of the other Bilderbergers. Her pro-war speech was printed in the Washington Post. Come the election, full support of the Bilderbergs. And equally important, the unlimited support from Springer and Bertelsman, plus a few others; zero internal opposition from within the CDU/CSU, she won. Zero internal opposition from within the CDU/CSU – could you imagine anyone opposing her?

      So she became chancellor of Germany. Any opposition, say in Europe? Indeed there was, by a flamboyant Italian fellow, he was as tough as nails and Teflon coated, got away with everything, controlled a large chunk of Italy’s media. He defeated courts, swung public opinion, you name it, everything. The guy was unassailable, invincible. He took her on, even insulted her, he was finished a few months later… Then there was a Frenchy. Head of the IMF, I think, anyway, brilliant prospect for the French presidency, what’s his name? Strauss Khan, yeah, he wanted to take her on, criticised her. Didn’t even see the election… Dumbass.

      Angela Merkel, former FDJ, secretary for AgitProp, that’s Agitation und Propaganda. Good SED (Former East German Communist Party) connections, thus STASI. Hmh, could she have found sufficient material in there to foster her unusual career? Always with the same method?

      Europeans, that is our Queen. Her upbringing is also interesting. One cannot help but wonder what a psychologist or sociologist would make of her. Her father a Protestant Parson, her mother a practising Jew. Conversely, her wider social environment, a fiercely atheistic, or even anti-godly political doctrine, namely Socialism-Marxism. With herself being so active in the ‘youth-movement’ of that ideology, that she rises to secretary for Agitation und Propaganda. Meaning stirring things up and spreading falsehoods, disinformation and lies.

      Americans, take note: Hillary Clinton does not want to orientate herself on Merkel. No, she wants to emulate Merkel, to copy her.

      • Yes, DFD–Hillary Clinton has said she would emulate Merkel, and that would be as disastrous for the US as it has been for Germany. It is even worse, in a way, since Clinton has been able to see the results of this suicidal policy/

        The House, if it wanted, could impeach Mr. Obama at anytime. But at least 67 senators need to vote for impeachment before he can be removed from office. The votes to impeach/remove aren’t there.

  10. I am voting Robert Spencer for president, when it comes to safety he knows proper response. But he has the right humility and intelligence to put the right people where they need to be.

    • Spencer would be a great president–but he is not running. Please don’t waste your vote–none of the candidates are perfect, or anywhere close to it when it comes to understanding the Jihad threat, but at this point Ted Cruz and Donald Trump come closest.

    • Misqouting Muhammad is the second most popular there, anyone know if there is any truth to that book?

        So yes, he seems to be very aware and he’s not hiding that there is “the disillusioning clash between scripture and modernity.”

        It seems to be a scholarly work mostly about how Muslim religious leaders had to interpret the verses through the history. I guess the point is that the “undiluted” verses were even for Muslims time and again (through the centuries) “too heavy” to be always taken literally.

          It seems that the book also tries to relativize the “cultural” aspects of the practices, and also to show that for the believers some “truths” are, unfortunately, unquestionable.

          It also seems to point to the religious Westerners too,as they also consider only their religious and tradition based truths as truths.

          But my answer to this is:

          how about just concentrating to the human rights,, therefore I personally can never accept the “sharia based human rights.”

      • Sounds like “Misquoting Muhammad” is more apologia for the vile “Prophet”.

        For one thing, it is lovingly blurbed by the egregious Karen Armstrong. And the author is the Alwaleed bin Talal Chair of Islamic Civilization at Georgetown University–this is paid whitewash for Islam.

  12. I love Robert Spencer’s books. I am currently reading The Complete Infidel’s Guide to the Koran, and sharing certain passages with my family. My kids will inherit this horrible mess of a world, they need to know the truth about what’s going on and be prepared.

  13. The best way to say thank you is to buy these books, read them and if you are like me underline and page market the good stuff. Then on the holidays educate your relatives… I know they appreciate it and are listening no matter what they say. I have a nephew who is on track to each at the college level…he way around the bend with the typical racist accusations and the like. I respond as best I can with logic and facts; what works best is empirical evidence , the reality of how Islam presents itself to the World. BIg Mo’s followers are very clear about what Islam means to them.

  15. The veil is lifting for sure.

    I get a real feeling that this latest carnage, and the fact that authorities are admitting there are still many islamic cells in operation, has brought people to the edge of their strained credulity.

    Nobody likes being lied to, and nobody likes being killed or maimed for any reason, much less the whims and fancies of corrupt and stupid politicians, and deceitful ‘religious’ leaders.

    Fortunately, there is an expanding library of informed and truthful reading provided by Robert and a host of others trying to save us from our delusions.

    On the subject of changing attitudes, I watched a debate on France24, which included a spokesman from the Collective Against Islamophobia they’re also French and do not appear to have an English website.

    It’s worth watching from about 15 mins in (and the slider works, so you can skip the rest).

    The guy has come equipped with the usual backlash facts, but the Bataclan has changed the French, who seem to have had enough crap, and they persist with a quite un-PC debate, (by MSM standards at least) and the Yasser guy seems to genuinely talk about the issues, i.e. foreign (Saudi?) mosque building. He also talks about French Muslims almost as a separate group, then lets slip that islamic state view them as apostates, presumably for trying to integrate into French society, remember that they have largely accepted laws against burka wearing.

    The last few minutes is of most interest.

  18. Thank you Robert and Pamela for the intensity, tenacious work, from books, to speeches, to video’s, and the facts about the verses in the Q book, the language, organizations that support and mislead and the constant news sources.

    Trying to inform the uninformed is not easy, not easy to have people respond and be called “hateful”, and obsessed, but the only way to fight the doctrine of islam is to expose the truth…that is what so many leaders kept avoiding and some even to this day….talk about territory, only isis, and make no connection.
    Belgium made the connection, after massive migration.. but the mosques are growing here and I know what they read…civilization jihad…has planted its roots. Good to know people worldwide are getting the information.

  19. I was using one of Robert books as a reference in an argument with a Liberal (one who likes to yell and intimidate), and they actually physically assaulted Roberts book, they became so irate in defeat.

    You turn the world on its head so radically and incontrovertibly for Libs steeped in West=bad multiculturalism they have no actual argument left other than to actually physically assault your book.

    Ahh, good times, and great laughs.

      • Except for losing nearly all of my friends, (and some I have known for 40 years), being called a fanatic, “people are worried about you linnte”, hateful, spewing hate etc etc. It’s a hard job, trying to convince people Islam is our enemy, but somebody’s gotta do it. hahahahahahaha! I am willing to live totally alone if it means my grandchildren won’t have to deal with Sharia Law.

        • linnte, it is a hard job. And it’s a lonely job if you are surrounnded by liberals who have no clue what vile hatred exists in the pages of the Koran. These people actually believe this whole problem would go away if we’d all just stop “alienating” Muslims and try to get along. But Robert Spencer informs us and educates us and inspires us to continue this fight. And we are fighting for our children and our grandchildren, no matter what it takes or how difficult it gets.

        • Haha! I live IN LIBERAL LAND except for my son’s wife’s family. I don’t know any conservatives, yet, anyway in my town. It is gratifying when someone starts to “get the picture” though! ?

        • Yes–I’m out here in the bluer-than-blue San Francisco Bay Area, and warning against the Jihad threat *is* a lonely job.

          But I also believe it is the most important one of our times.

          Don’t become downhearted. Remember that those who first warned of the threat of Fascism in the 1920s and even 1930s were dismissed as hysterics and even ‘warmongers”.

          But they *did* finally get the word out, and the world owes them a great debt.

          Don’t give up! We have the facts on our side, and even making a small amount of headway is important.

        • Thanks for the encouragement! I am vowed to stick with it. I will never know how many people will read that stinking Qur’an after my challenge to them, but in my heart, I know I am right. I wrote the Journalist of the Washington Post and reminded him that he would never support a candidate that he didn’t know the background and platform of, so why support Islam without knowing the doctrine and Ideology. Hope he bites! ?

    Why dont they listen to ISIS’s Al Baghdadi? “These phases [of establishing a caliphate] consist of immigrating to a land with a weak central authority to use as a base where a jama’ah (Muslims brotherhood) can form, recruit members, and train them…The jama’ah would then take advantage of the situation by increasing the chaos…The next step would be to fill the vacuum by managing the state of affairs to the point of developing into a full-fledged state, and continuing expansion into territory…This has always been the roadmap towards Khilafah (caliphate) for the mujahidin.”

    The Islamic business model has always been conquest and plunder. Europe is rich but Europe is weak. Weak in their support for their ideology, softened and weakened by years of peace and pacifism. A rich picking for the Islamic plunderers.

    Excellent! I hope a lot more people are waking up now.

    I have mentioned here before that the comments on magazine and newspaper articles–even where the articles themselves are full of dhimitude and apologia for Islam–are increasingly Islamosavvy. Where even if commenters may not understand the full Islamic basis of Islamic terrorism, they at least are less apt to accept the whitewash of Islam.
